This is a great place to go for a casual bite with live music and wonderful food. The staff are very good and will welcome you back each time. They offer amazing views of the sunset over lake Conroe. Dietary restrictions: They are able to accommodate if you have special diet restrictions.

Was looking for an upscale experience while we were on vacation. We picked this restaurant and unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. The food was not upscale at all. 5 of us ordered dinner entrees and none were good. Snapper was very dry and bland as was the other dishes we tried. Not worth the price. Waiter service was also below average. Skip this place and find another.

Thought we would give it a chance again. Requested lake view table and made reservations way before we showed up. We were told those were for people doing the buffet but only 3 tables and lots of empty tables with a lake view but we were seated in a corner. We ordered from menu which seems to have annoyed the waiter. We were ignored. Not refilling drinks. Not checking back. We asked about table side flaming desserts but he said it s just heated up Godiva and had no interest so we skipped it. Poor service and bland burger. We felt like we were unwelcomed since we did not do the buffet and were asked at the desk if wanted the buffet so seating depends on that. This is our second time so we won t be back.

This was our first time here. We made RSVP our table, and when we went in the hostess greeted us with absolute kindness and professionalism. There was live music and the singer did amazing with the songs that he sung. Our waiter hit it out of the park. He new exactly what to say and very detail orient. We will definitely be coming back he soon! The food well words cannot express how wonderful it was.

Busy night. Was seated at 6:30. Order taken by 6:45. Salads brought out at 7:00. Waiter came back once to get salad plates. Dinner brought out at 8:05. Mashed potatoes cold. Steak was lukewarm. Other guests with us said their rice was cold. Waiter only came by to bring plates and take plates away. They did give us discounts and comped a shared dessert. Will give the place another try when it isn t so busy.

Food has gone down hill, Sunday brunch is not worth what you pay. No vegetables on the brunch. Only dried out fried potatoes. The food was cold. Not even the salad bar was much. The only thing that was OK was the omelettes which they made for us.

Just had my sons rehearsal dinner here last Friday. We had a private room on the bottom floor overlooking the lake and the gazebo. Everything was PERFECT form start to finish! The food was wonderful, staff were attentive and accommodating, and the room was lovely. I got many, many compliments on how nice everything was. Len Rhodes, the event coordinator is a gem. Great communication, anything and everything I asked for was done without hesitation. The event ran smoothly without a hitch thanks to her organization and her great staff. I will definitely have more events here in the future!!!

Absolutely horrible experience!! I literally called ahead of time to tell them it was my 20 year anniversary and to confirm that the water levels or sufficient enough to park my boat at the restaurant. I was assured that the water is never low here and I can park here so we get ready we drive all the way over and guess what they don t even have Lake parking at the restaurant!!! so why on earth they were tell me honey don t worry about the water level over here if they don t even have parking to use! I ask for a manager and surprise there s no manager on duty! They offered no solutions no alternatives just I m sorry and goodbye! I wouldn t eat here if they paid me and I hope no one else does after reading this!!

Was a little disappointed. View was outstanding. Service was a little stuffy. Prices were very high. Visited on a Saturday evening and was sad to hear that no tableside deserts were available, not was the peanut butter pie. Wanted to take someone special someplace nice to her birthday, only to leave sad and discouraged. The view was nice though.

Quick weekend get away to Lake Conroe and we stayed in an AB&B in Walden. Rode our bikes to Sunday Brunch. Good food with many selections, beef, shrimp, omlets. Although this is a yacht club it is open to the public which was very nice.

We come here on Saturday evenings for the plantain appetizers, the view, the piano music and the cleanliness. Unfortunately, the food is not the best. I have tried several dishes so far and none were impressive. We have not tried their Sunday brunch. It does have good reviews. This place is a gem but they need to step up their game when it comes to the kitchen.

We had Sunday brunch here and it was fabulous! When you walk in you are greeted with a nice waterfall feature. The staff was very attentive. Sunday brunch is a buffet with great selections from fruit, omelets, tenderloin, desserts, breads and even empanadas. The food was fresh and delicious. There is a full bar and all seating has a lake view. As far as attire, there was everything from shorts or jeans to dresses but for the most part, it was comfortable and fairly casual. I loved this place and can t wait to return!

We were there last year for the first time and everything was great. This time, things were different: the plantain chips were still good but the calamari were cold and limp. The lobster rolls are nowhere they used to be. Last year, they were on toasted butter rolls with copious chunks of lobster. This time, they used hard baguette and the siza of lobster meat was almost powdered and the quantity was pathetic..... Our guests were not impressed at all by the lobster rolls. We were so sorry to have misled them to think these were Boston quality....

Couldnt wait to visit this restaurant. Was mislead about sunset view. Asked 4 different people. There was none. Unbelievable view of the lake. I came there during a rough storm and watching the waves on the lake churning was epic. The inside looked like a scene from the Alfred Hitchcock movie North by Northwest. Oh....the food was good too. You should visit if only to get the view of the lake. I dont know if the staff realized that they were working in a place that is kind of special.

We loved this waterfront restaurant! The food was delicious, they had friendly proffesional staff. We went out the deck to enjoy an amazing sunset after a relaxed dinner and then returned to our table for dessert.They made our special event over the top spectacular by allowing us to enjoy a long and relaxed dinner for eight in the private wine room. We visited this place for Sunday brunch and had a really great experience. The host was very friendly and told us about the restaurant since it was our first time. There is seating inside, outside and at the bar. We ended up sitting by the window with a great view of the lake. The buffet is $36 which may be a little pricey but I d definitely go back. Items on the buffet included Eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, omelette station, bacon, sausage, waffles, potato salad, chicken salad, and so much more. Everything on our plates tasted delicious. They even had a pianist playing music in the dining room.

the Philly Cheesesteak : * like I remember as a child * the steak was wonderfully tender, near melt in your mouth tender * the entire sandwich was delightful * the fresh roll required more chewing the the steak Location * sit outside, the scenery is beautiful * you hear the waves lapping the shore, water fowl, boats passing by * in the late afternoon the patio is completely shaded * take your laptop, sit in the shade Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I have to imagine that anyone posting more than 3 stars for the food here must be used to Hamburger Helper meals every other night of the week. Hell, what am I saying... I think Id prefer a good ol HH dinner over that excuse for fine dining quality food. Had the linguine fra diavolo. Sauce is straight from a can of Hunts Traditional Pasta Sauce. Freeze dried pasta (not that big of a deal other than the price tag). Shrimp? Overcooked and bland. Scallop? Sizes from baby to colossal. Cant imagine those were cooked properly (they werent). Oh and, of course, bland. Mussels were good but its a good thing those are hard to f$%k up. Seriously though, its called seasoning. Start with salt. Baby steps. Also had the lobster roll. Lobster was cooked fine if a little under but, hey, its lobster. A very... very small amount of lobster. Heres the kicker; it was served on a hot dog bun!! Granted, it did say in the description it would be, but, Im talking a literal Mrs Bairds bun from Walmart bought by every pre-camper prepared to slap some bar-s weiners in. Buttered? Toasted? Naaahhh just some lobster meat, red colored mayo, and an out of the plastic package, cold hot dog bun. Oh and some floppy not raw potato slices to compliment (do I have to say underseasoned or bland at this point or can we all just assume?) Bottom line; come for the view - gorgeous. Come for the atmosphere - business meetings a go. Come for the drinks - alcohol. Just understand that these are the reasons for your over priced bill* and CERTAINLY, Id hope, not the middle school cafeteria food. If youre hungry then walk a few hundred feet down to Break Water Grill and get something half way decent. *ok. The prices actually arent THAT bad to be honest. I just didnt want to break theme... unless you want steak. But I didnt have any so maybe the $30 ribeye is their saving grace.

I had to relocate a 60th birthday party last minute due to COVID, and Len, Jodi, and their staff did everything possible to make it happen for us!! Their event space was beautiful, classy, adjusted to the perfect size for our party, and had a wonderful view of the lake! Len Rhodes was phenomenal... she jumped right in & helped with designing gorgeous centerpieces with the supplies I had brought, while still getting everything set up in time with the open bar, their food catering service, ect... their Lake Conroe Buffet was an absolute hit with everyone, both children and adults at the party found it delicious! The staff for the event were very friendly & extremely professional! Our party went wonderfully thanks to all their hard work. They turned the room from a previous event that day and made ours happen, without a hitch! I would highly recommend Waldens Lakeview Dining for any event!!

$18 for an awesome brunch? we have been coming to the brunch at Walden yacht club for years. But why now do you have to pay extra for shrimp? They used to have a bunch of huge lovely shrimp and the waiter said the management decided to make a change. That s very disappointing as that was one of the nicest items at the brunch. I Live 5 minutes from the restaurant and I called to order a take out dinner at 8:30 pm on Friday and the lady told me that sorry, she could not take an order because they close at 9:00... Seriously?? They cant have an order ready in 30 minutes!!? First of all, the website states they close at 10:00 on Friday and Saturday, and second of all, if I walked in at 8:30, are they going to turn me away because they close at 9:00?? Just had Valentine s dinner there after reserving for a few weeks. So excited to go. Great wait staff. Food was very lack luster. Braised beef ribs was actually all fat on two tiny ribs. Very, very disappointed for the price of almost $50 per plate. They forgot our dessert. Spoke with manager. He didn t hear a thing I said. Full of excuses. Just hid in the happy hour bar all night. Made a 7:45 reservation for while visiting Conroe for our Anniversary weekend. Indifferent hostess sat us on the patio which had ZERO light. The patio was already dim which was nice, but the 2 lights above the table were burned out, it was pitch black. We hadnt even sat down and when we turned around to tell her we wanted to eat inside but she was gone. We walked back to the host stand and told her the lights were burned out and it was too dark and she just shrugged. She took us to another table and literally touched a chair as she walked by it - we took it as this was our new table. We sat and waitied for 10 mins and nobody greeted us. Nobody even tried to stop us when we got up and walked out. Disappointing.

We sat in the front table for 1 hour. No one stopped to offer us service. I had to go in and order at the bar. At least 3 servers can by the table at least 10 times each. I finally flagged on down to get a refill. This is not good customer service.

The view is amazing! Lots of fun games, like jumbo sized jenga & dominoes. A bottle of wine is $7!!!! A burger is $6!!! The food is great, the prices are almost unbelievable and the view is like taking a vacation!

We visit Breakwater Grill almost weekly for outside dining & drinks! It s the perfect spot for our kids to run and play while we enjoy the beautiful lakeside view. If you are looking for a place to go with respects of social distancing this is the perfect outside spot! The food is what you would expect at any bar & grill - enjoyable and appropriately priced.

Love the people here! The staff is so kind and always remembers who we are. I cant say its STRICTLY the Yatch Club though. The pool is in the middle of the Fine Dining Yatch Club and the Breakwater Grill, which is more laid back, exciting and casual. And some of the staff handle both restaurants/pool. So all in all this rating goes for everyone in the Yatch Club, Pool Staff and Breakwater Grille. I love how good the food is, how family friendly they are and just the positive atmosphere overall. Hoffie is doing a lot to keep things exciting, with quality service and its appreciated. No matter how hard Carlos or Melissa(Bartender BWG) are working, running nonstop, they always manage to stop long enough to acknowledge were there and ask how things are going. And thats just a few I mentioned, there are so many other great people! I like that they are always adding new ideas to the menu. I love that theres always some sort of event/entertainment going on. Halloween party, Santa pics, Crawfish Boils, Bouncy castles for the kids, Live music while you eat outside, and even sports on TV inside the Grille. I know some of these people are having a rough time in their lives some days or very exhausted and really missing their family, but need the hours, but youd never be able to tell, bc theyre smiling, attentive and making you feel welcome. Thank you to you all, ESPECIALLY during such a crazy, stressful time.

Worst place I have ever dealt with during my 26 years of living and as an attorney. I talked to them an hour before closing about a to go order. They said they closed in an hour and offered a delivery service, I told them I would call back in 5 mins for a delivery order which I did at 7:00 PM- an hour before they closed and they refused to answer my call from 7:00-730 PM on a Saturday. Do not give this place any money nor business cause they don t want it during this pandemic. Spend your money at place that is willing to work past 7:00 PM

Everything was fast as it wasnt busy with this being so I wish maybe they spent more time on their food. My seasoned fries tasted undrercooked and soggy, everything else was very good and lovely. -another note: the view is amazing and loved the breeze that came through
