Absolutely have loved this venue the two times I ve gotten to be a guest at weddings hosted here. The chapel s super cute, the cocktail hour and dinner/reception areas are very nice, and, most importantly, the staff is very kind and on top of things. The young lady named Shy is a fantastic staff member and made sure everyone was having a good time, my friends and I love and appreciate her kindness! Shoutout to Shy and Big Sky Barn, 10/10 would recommend.

Phoebe, our Wedding Planner, helped us arrange it ALL! We really wanted a turn-key wedding experience - not really interested in endless trips to Michaels, silk flowers and a hot glue 3rd-degree burn! Phoebe listened. She assembled the PERFECT team of wedding vendors for us! From whimsical flowers to the ultimate playlist, buffet or plated dinners, cakes, treats, photography, invitations, limos and any special requests we could dream up, she arranged it all! We wanted baristas at the reception for espresso drinks for our guests -- done! The venue itself is a DREAM!!! Its a perfect blend of rustic elegance: beautiful wood finishes, large stone fireplace and glittery chandeliers! We were smitten with it as soon as we walked in! The chapel is adjacent to the barn, with polished wood seating and a cathedral-style picture window that makes you feel like you are taking your vows in the woods, except without the Texas heat, humidity and mercurial weather... The suites are thoughtfully appointed. The groomsmen can lounge in leather and dark wood, sipping a cocktail ahead of the ceremony. The bridesmaids have an airy, elegant space with lots of vanity mirrors and posh seating. They can chat and sip Champagne before its time to go in. Big Sky Barn was perfect! The floral team did an amazing job on the flowers, the food was good, the bartender was awesome! Phoebe was great and took care of everything the day of. She was very attentive and kept us on track all day! It was truly a great experience and I would recommend anyone who wants a stress free wedding day! It was beautiful and the best day ever! Edit: my only complaint is that we had 2 signature drinks and they didnt have all the ingredients for one and ran out of ingredients for the second one. This should not have happened since we had fewer guests than RSVP yes . Not many people noticed but still should not have happened.

The event space is incredible, I fell in love with it from the first day I visited. Like everything in life there are good and bad things. I believe that among the bad things was the choice of my coordinator, me and some guests, came to complain about some attitudes that even me made me very uncomfortable just before the ceremony and that left me very nervous as well as unspoken questions during the last meeting. Apart from this detail, because it was actually a detail, there was the party, DJ, make up team,waiters, bartenders, flower team, sweets, chefs , photographers, cleaning and security. Thank you very much! You made my night something very special. I had thanked them one by one because I really enjoyed my night, and so did my husband.Unfortunately the only thing that happened that obviously made me upset is that I got upset before the ceremony and my Tiffany necklace went missing.

Worse wedding I have been to. Food was horrible and unorganized. The bartender had to work overtime just to keep guests happy. The wait times between courses was ridiculous. And I waited over 2 hours for the wedding cake but it got too late and had such a long drive back to Houston I couldn t wait anymore. The exterior had good lighting but the creek was completely dried up and there wasn t much for anyone to do but drink to past the time.

At first I did not want a huge wedding but I was convinced to at least look at some venues to be absolutely sure. Once I arrived to Big Sky Barn I completely had a change in perspective. The venue alone can speak for itself. & the light fixtures & greenery sounding the venue are definitely what sold me. There were a lot of venues who did not actually take the time to listen to my questions or make sure I understood things clearly. Big Sky Barn and everyone that I have talked to has been nothing but welcoming and helpful. They were also honest and forward about pricing and packages from the start. I originally inquired about a sister venue, but the date we wanted was already booked so they gave me the alternative location that would accommodate to that date and I think it was the best thing that could have happened. They have taken the stress of planning a wedding completely off my shoulders and they are in constant communication reminding me of what the next steps are. Not to mention, I booked with them 5 months prior to our date, so personally I think that speaks highly in itself that they are organized enough to make that happen. Tara was a joy from the beginning & Anna has helped me so much over the past couple of months. I can contact her at any hour of the day and shes always right on it!! My wedding is set for early April of 2024 and I have no doubt that we are in good hands.

There are so many great qualities about this venue! First off, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. From the back porch, the double sided fireplace, all the lighted trees, the cute courtyard and of course the beautiful chapel and reception hall. There are so many places for guests to go out and explore during the reception. Second, the wedding coordinators and staff are so nice and care so much about making your wedding day exactly how you imagined and stress free. Olivia S. was our coordinator and she went above and beyond for us during the whole wedding planning process and our actual wedding day. It would not have gone as smooth without her! I was not stressed the day of our wedding at all because Olivia was handling everything. I cannot say how thankful and grateful we are for everyone at Big Sky Barn. As a member of a wedding party, I found Big Sky Barn to be one of the nicest venues Ive ever seen. The staff helped my friends put together the perfect wedding and reception. The food was excellent and well presented, and the reception hall was perfectly equipped. The only complaint that came from so many of the guests involved a female bartender who didnt seem to want to be there that evening. Even though guests were tipping her generously in cash or via cash apps, she was a bit rude and snarky to everyone. We overheard her asking a security guard if she could close up the bar early because she was tired of these people. Perhaps she was just having a bad day. All the other staff members we encountered were fun, friendly, and professional.

Big Sky Barn was the perfect venue! I spent months looking for a classy/upscale barn for our wedding, and this was exactly what I was looking for, so we decided to make it a semi-destination wedding (5 hours.) Even better, the venue is located in the middle of a forest which made for beautiful photos (including the gazebo, bridge, and outdoor staircase.) The whole team was great - from our coordinator Beverly, to our DJ Alfredo, and also our bartender (Im so sorry I forgot your name, but that means the drinks were amazing!) The food and drinks were delicious and the staff were all so welcoming and kept us on our timeline so we didnt miss anything important. We were even able to keep our pups with us all day, which made the day that much better.

On 2020 before covid hit I signed a contract with this venue, after covid we could set up a date I moved my date twice since my family and friends were coming from different countries, they told me I could only move my date up to three times, when I tried contacting them to set up a final date they ghosted me I kept my part of the contract and paid in full even though we even lost our job at some point after covid, they never gave a date or refunded me the money it s been 4 years now

Cheryl and Xander were at my venue day off. I know there have been some conflicting reviews but Cheryl was truly amazing. She bounced around from the grooms suite, bridal suite, ceremony space, and reception area making sure everyone had what they needed while we were getting ready for the wedding. She made sure that we were let in to the venue on time (actually a little earlier than our reservation), made sure my husband and I were fully waited on at the reception, and was able to get together last minute supplies my mother needed for an unfinished DIY project morning of the wedding. The day of my wedding was truly magical and I have absolutely no complaints. I was also skeptical on the food, but it turned out delicious - we had the exceptional buffet with Chicken and waffles, Cesar salad, steak, chicken Marsala, mashed potatoes, and broccolini with garlic butter. Wait staff, bar tender, and DJ were all excellent as well. Very attentive!

Where to start! Cheryl White! If you re looking for a wedding coordinator and a person who has the widest spectrum of knowledge when it comes to your BIG day, she is IT! From the planning stages to the stroll down the aisle, she was available and proactive on making every moment perfect! Our particular event wasn t without snags though, however she handled everything thrown at her with the utmost professionalism. Our DJ which we had hired through a third party didn t arrive on time and was nowhere to be seen via communication means. Her actions to rectify this mishap were nothing short of spectacular, she had TWO DJs arrive just in time to fill the gap and keep the ball moving forward! We had the best experience at big sky barn. Laura made sure everything was ready for our big day. Our coordinator was outstanding during the wedding making sure everything stayed on schedule. She kept everything in order and kept us part of all decisions that had to be made that day. I loved it so much I wish I could get married everyday. Beverly was our day of coordinator, and she was both professional and personable and we literally could not have done this without her! She was so wonderful. My friend had her wedding here over the weekend and it was just beautiful. The chapel area was breathtaking and there was so much space in the bridal suite to get ready. The grooms area was really cool with video games and TVs to hang out. The barn that the reception was in was also just stunning with natural wood features and light pouring in.

We absolutely loved doing our daughters wedding at Big Sky Barn. The first time we looked at Big Sky we fell in love with the cozy, woodsy atmosphere. We knew it would be perfect for a December wedding, and it was. Our thanks go out to Stacie for being so quick to respond when we sent in a request for more information and then from there we met Madison who helped get our plans down on paper. Madison and Stacie were both really good at responding to our many questions. And then there was Cheryl, our director. Wow!! Cheryl made sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. She was a great communicator and did everything in her power to make sure we were taken care of throughout the entire process. We offer up so many thanks to Cheryl for treating us like family and not just a business transaction!! Lastly, we want to recognize the in house catering service. We were very nervous about this part but we must say we were blown away by how good the food was. We did the barbecue buffet and were so glad we did. It was so delicious!! The meat was so tender and juicy and all the sides had just the right amount of seasoning. Were just sad we wont be able to enjoy this meal again. We need this in a restaurant!! If youre considering this venue, our entire family would say, Go for it!! You and youre guest will be raving about it well beyond the wedding day.

Our daughter got married at Big Sky Barn in November, and we are so happy to have chosen this venue. Aside from being a beautiful place and having the chapel, cocktail hour area, and reception area all in one place (no need for guests to drive from ceremony to reception), the staff was wonderful to work with. Everyone was personable and professional. I had so many questions during the weeks leading up to the wedding, and Phoebe and the Big Sky Barn staff answered them quickly. Phoebe was knowledgeable, and during the final details meeting, she and Cheryl put our minds at ease for the wedding day. Cheryl handled the rehearsal and day of coordination. She quickly answered all of my questions (I had a lot!), and she was very reassuring. She was always accessible and willing to help in any way. She and Sam were so helpful during the rehearsal. They informed us (the wedding party and parents) with what we were supposed to do during the cermony and were willing to repeat everything until we were all comfortable with it. They also explained what to expect before and after the ceremony. On the wedding day, Cheryl, Sam, Valerie, and the rest of the staff, kept the day s events flowing smoothly. Sam and Cheryl worked with the vendors and periodically checked with me throughout the day to make sure everything was going well so that I could relax and enjoy the wedding. They really cared about making our daughter s wedding day magical. Many guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food was. The caterers were able to accommodate our seven vegetarian/vegan guests, which worked out well. It was nice that they had the fireplace going during the reception. It created such a nice ambiance, as well as provided some warmth. What a top notch venue with an incredible staff! We highly recommend Big Sky Barn!

Big Sky Barn (BSB) has been my dream wedding venue since I found it on social media a couple of years ago. From the moment my ~now~ husband and I reached out the staff regarding our initial tour, to the last moment of our wedding day, I can honestly say that the venue and its staff were all amazing. Beautiful venue with amazing views. Staff was well trained and everything went off without a hitch. I got married 10-02-2022. Nicole was our planning representative and she was AMAZING. She prepared us with all the information we needed leading up to our wedding. She answered all my questions and was their to make sure my in house coordinator had all the information she needed. I had the pleasure of photographing Meaghan & Lukes wedding this past weekend on 9/17/22. Ive photographed close to 10 weddings at Big Sky Barn over the years, and 2 at Iron Manor. Both of the venues are beautiful inside and out! I worked closely with the venue coordinator Cheryl from the start of the day until the send-off. I have to say she was a real pleasure to work with! She is very experienced and knows exactly what needs to be done! My job as the photographer is very demanding and things change from one minute to the next. Cheryl made my job easier going above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly during getting ready photos. She was very helpful even offered to help round up the groomsmen and for pics! 10/10 would recommend this venue and amazing staff who made our dream wedding a surreal reality. Special shout out to Cheryl who was at my side with a fresh drink incase I was getting on empty all day and night ; Shannon who was making sure the drinks were especially right to keep the nerves down; Shane providing top tier security for the entire establishment and safeguarding the private dance to an elite level but an extremely special shout-out to every additional team member on their staff that day and the weeks leading up to it, for making every moment memorable and flawless. I can t think of one need, or aid that was not met or resolved with quick efficiency. Planning a wedding is no easy task, let alone from across the world, or even across the states as my Wife and I are both Active Duty military. We had some troubling concerns at our pre-wedding planning meet up with another team member who shall not be named which left me questioning if we made a right choice decision. Some over the phone discussions were not initially met, and caused some frustrations for me personally fast forward to the week of our event and an entirely different team, and different representatives for our event; and. VOILA it was an absolutely different experience. Cheryl and Shannon truly. We re involved in every detail of the planning, made sure the execution was perfect, and most importantly took care of their customers as if they were one of their own family members. We could not have asked for a better day, better location, better staff, better time . The wedding I never thought I d have is now a memory I will never forget. The most important info for all the grooms out there they will keep your groomsmen room full of whatever beer your request. I assure you my party of military, fireman, and policeman were extremely satisfied with the huge yeti chest. Again I couldn t ask for such an amazing experiences. The entire team knows what the F they are talking about and make sure any expectations or bars you set in your mind, are shattered! As A Texan Native, y all reinforced again and again, why planning a wedding in my home state, across the world, was worth it. Thank y all so much for the caring, good vibes, and never ending support through the most important days of our live. The establishment was exquisite, the professionalism and customs and courtesies were unmatched. We appreciate y all forever . Observations from my daughters wedding. We went through 3 coordinators prior to the day of the wedding. Had our 4th coordinator the day of the wedding. Food was good but not what we ordered. We had the Hawaiian buffet. When it came out it was lots of vegetables and one person giving each person 3 small cubes of chicken which I guess was for the pork slider. At the end of the night we were asked for gratuity. I stated we paid a 21% service fee. They stated the wait staff receives none of that and it goes to the venue. Their poor business practices is not my problem. Upcharge to use the cross. We rented our own. Upcharge for cream table clothes. Rented our own cheaper. Asked for more cash for tip and tried to charge 21% on the rental which I refused prior to signing the contract. Beautiful facility but i do not align with their business practices or their lack of communication.

While the venue is beautiful, I was sad to find out the wedding cake and grooms cakes I made as a gift for the bride and groom were thrown out without communication, warning, or care. The cakes werent even served! I have tried contacting the venue for compensation, but I have received zero response. If this means anything at all, my friends that got married had multiple problems with the staff. The only benefit was the look of the place. I do not recommend hiring them on for any reason.

Just attended my sons wedding at this venue. I cant recommend it. As others have said, the physical buildings and land are beautiful but everything else is terrible. It is a corporate wedding factory and your wedding doesnt matter. My wife tried calling with a few simple questions at least 4-5 times and was only able to leave voice mails. She never received a call back. We gave up. Also, on your wedding day, you are on your own before the ceremony. No staff is available to answer questions, provide anything you need, clean up any issues. A glass had broken in front of the main entrance door and no one was there to clean it up. No brooms available for anyone to do it either. So broken glass remined there until staff finally showed up very shortly before the ceremony. The room for the groomsmen is nice but not much in it. Bring everything yourself. We forgot a knife to serve some food. None there - it would be nice to have some basics like a cheap motel would have in their kitchen area (i.e. plastic flatware, paper plates, etc). And no one was there to ask. My son also had to deal with an issue with the reception - they were going to shut it down one hour early because they didnt know the schedule. He had to set it straight during his celebration. I did speak with the manager at the end of the night about the issues and received no empathy - it is just the way it is. Her first words in response were that she had 5 weddings already this week. Implying that it is a ridiculous wedding factory owned by a large corporation and your wedding is nothing special.

My sons wedding was beautiful, the venue is beautiful, only issue is the help, make sure to hire a wedding coordinator to help out with details during the festivities. Examples, the middle bar between the doors should have been removed well before all the guests were seated, also this caused a late start to the wedding; then the champagne toast, the bride and groom were the only ones that received champagne. Before all that, the drink cart should have been delivered to the boys at 1pm, wasnt delivered until 2:30pm. For such a nice venue they obviously need more help. The bride and groom shouldnt have to constantly be asking for the things to happen.

We live near the venue, they have the worst management you can imagine. They have ruined the area. Constantly(almost nightly) drunk people are crossing our fences, and driving into our property. Last night after midnight giant fireworks are being blown up over my house keeping my kids up and dogs panicking. We once had a nice quiet area and now we have to constantly worry. 2 weeks ago we had to call the police to come get a drunk girl that got lost in our property after wondering away from the venue. They have absolute zero respect for the community and have put profit over everything. DONT HAVE YOU WEDDING HERE as there is a solid chance it will be interrupted because starting now we(myself and my 6 neighbors) are going to do everything in our power to close the doors on this crooked buisness. Don t have a wedding here as it will be stained. Such a great union shouldn t be involved in all the drama and issues.

Big Sky Barn is beautiful! When we first signed the contract, everything was smooth and the people we talked to were respectful and nice. We fell in love with the venue. Once Walters Wedding Estates bought the venue, customer service went down the drain. Nobody responds to emails or calls or texts, it takes over a month to get any kind of response back. The people don t care about their clients. For all the money we spent, the least they can do is be nice and respond. They always had excuses as to why they didn t respond to anything (saying that my email to them was in the spam box, or they were off for a two weeks, which is fine but how about set an out of office reply.) All we really wanted was communication and we never got it. Our main contact at the venue changed when Walter s Wedding bought the venue and nobody thought to tell us. Alex was the person we got assigned who is the worst person to be working in this industry. He doesn t care, no kindness, and didn t even bother saying hello or congrats the day of our wedding but instead went to my now husband and asked for payment for the bar. The bar set up turned into a mess once the venue got bought out and it was about a 5 month ordeal to even get something set up. The security and bar staff were all rude as well which didn t help anything. I would not recommend using this venue. It s beautiful but if you want customer service and something worth your money, go somewhere else!

We wanted to give our daughter the fairytale wedding she always dreamed of and with the help of Big Sky Barn, we did. We looked at a lot of venues but all fell in love with Big Sky Barn. The chapel, the reception barn, the grounds, everything about it is absolutely gorgeous and it was the perfect backdrop to a perfect wedding. I highly recommend this venue!

I was here as a guest, not as my own venue. That being said, the overall experience was fantastic. I captures an amazing rustic charm, especially in the perfect fall evening we enjoyed. The veranda rocking chairs were a nice touch, and my wife and I sat there all night enjoying our cocktails and a view. The servers were great, and the facilities were clean and well kept. Im sure anyone looking for this type of theme will be exceptionally pleased with the result.
