I have been to almost every cigar bar or lounge in the Houston area and this one is the best one. The interior decor is sophisticated and traditional. The warm lighting is comfortable for any time of day. Blues music plays softly in the background and even with the TVs on you can carry on a conversation comfortably. The cigars are priced reasonably and the drinks are downright affordable. The staff is lovely and Gil introduced himself to everyone. It is certainly out of the way for many people, but it is by far the best in the Conroe/Willis area.

This place is phenomenal. I have a blast every time. The atmosphere is wonderful. The customer service is Top notch! The customers are even great. It feels like cheers where everybody knows your name... Shane and the whole crew are completely awesome!

Generally I dont review a place the first visit. After quite a few times at Gils I thoroughly enjoy it. Selection of adult beverages, from beer, fine wines, to Louis XIII Conac. Great selection of outstanding cigars in all price ranges. Every stick wev enjoyed has been great! Properly maintained humidors insure well kept cigars! Gils employees behind the bar are knowledgeable on pairings of cigars with fine pours of bourbons and scotch. Well worth the drive to Lake Conroe area and out into the country side. RP

Gil and Rick run a hell of a shop. The location and atmosphere of this place is 10 of 10. Come in, enjoy a glass of grade A bourbon, and smoke a grade A cigar. You will not regret it.

I highly recommend Gil s Cigar Bar to friends. The welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff make it a great place to relax. Also, Gil was incredibly generous by donating beautiful items from his bar to help support a raffle for the local little league. I hope more people are able find this gem here in Montgomery.

Really great find in the area! So cozy and classy inside with a large porch I cant wait to take advantage of in the spring! Gil created us as we walked in and introduced himself to everyone in our party. Nice selection of boubons/whiskeys, etc along with some nice classics (gin, tequila, cognac, etc even beer and wine options too). Smoked old fashioned was really delicious and the Amaretto Sour was the best Ive had! We found all the cigar brands we were looking for and had a nice relaxing afternoon. Also, I really loved the interior decorating (see pics of the beautiful floor and cirling details)! Feels like you are in someones fancy personal den that they cant wait to share with you! Quick Edit! Always check in around different event days!! Gil really puts a lot of thought into celebrations! Today is unexpectedly Valentine`s day here!! So many sweet treats!!

Had cocktails only. Excellent selection of single malt scotch, great bourbon selection also. Drinks were perfect. Met Gil and Mike, both took extremely good care of us. Very classy place. The build out was what you would find in a corporate boardroom, beautiful paneling, gorgeous ceiling tiles. All in all comfortable, warm and inviting. Great place to relax.

I am a little Different... I read all the reviews, the good and the bad! After reading all the reviews on Gils, the only conclusion I can make is that a few people must, either be reviewing someplace else, or have an affiliation with a competitor! Calling Gils sub par and not equal to places in third world countries makes it obvious that the reviewers have never lived in or visited a third world country... I worked and live in lots of them - Nigeria, Pakistan, India, Kazakhstan, Laos, Cambodia, and others - Gils Cigar Bar would shine in any of those places! I also looked at the photos published on the web site. Gils is a very classy place - new, modern, clean, upscale, etc... The staff are wearing ties with vests... How much classier do you need! All the customers were happy and smiling - did not see any nay-sayers in the place! That being said, I visited Gils for a Soft Opening a few weeks ago and was very impressed with the place. A group of my Green Beret Brothers visited with me We stayed the entire day and had a wonderful time. We met a few locals, some pass through travelers, and a variety of folks from the general Houston area. I met one of the owners of Big Sky Cigars and found out we are from the same area in Montana - he is even a friend of my neice who still lives in Montana! I missed the Grand Opening - was on a cruise in the Caribbean, but definitely have plans to visit there in the near future. I highly recommend Gils and hope to see you there sometime in the future. This new cigar bar is so much fun. I was told of this place by a friend that lives around the Conroe Texas area. He and I stopped in to check it out and we had fun. Gil, the owner told us of the Grand Opening so I put it on my calendar. I attended the opening with a couple friends. We had a great time. Excellent vibes, great atmosphere, nice cigar and drink selections. Big TVs for sports watching and comfortable couches, chairs and a beautiful bar area. The place is clean and staff was helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this new establishment if you like to hang out with or without smoking a cigar

We attended Gils grand opening and I was so impressed with this Cigar Bar. It was gorgeous and upscale. The service was impeccable. Gil greeted us with a smile as soon as we walked up and introduced himself. Im not a Cigar smoker but my husband is and I will definitely go back with him.

We went for the Grand opening, there were 12 of us and we had a blast. We stayed the whole day, Gil & Liz were the kindest hosts who made sure everyone had a great time. They had an awesome band, complimentary food and drinks. The bar was upscale and quaint, the service was impeccable. Great cigar selections Hats off to Gil, well done. We will all be back. Went to the grand opening of this place today and I have to say it was disgusting ! Saw dead flies in the windows, cockroaches running on the counters, and mouse droppings on the floors !! This place is a cesspool and I highly advise NOT to go there under any circumstances ! There are much nicer establishments to spend your money at, Gils nasty bar is NOT one of them !

We finally have a cigar bar by the lake! And man, Gil did his work and then some. Everything about Gils is great. You are greeted as soon as you step foot in the door, and he wants to get to know you. He has a decent selection of cigars and drinks.
