This was my first time playing at the course (El Dorado course) and I was very impressed with my experience all around. The course was very well manicured and challenging. The staff were very polite and super professional. Will the head pro was even kind enough to join me in the front 9 to show me the course on my first time. This was easily my favorite round of golf I ve ever played and I m definitely coming back as soon as I can to play another round. Thank you quail valley for the wonderful golf experience and special thank you to Will Hicks for accompanying me as well. Y all are the best and can t wait to be back on the course!!

First time playing this course. Proshop assistant was helpful in pointing me in the right direction for the course I was playing. Tee boxes in great shape and very even. Fairways were a little narrow but not as narrow as some courses that have houses on them. Fairways were also in good shape. Greens were rolling true and just a little slow due to heavy rain 2 days ago. It was cart path only (feel like tomorrow it may not be as it has nice drainage). Water cooler only on hole 10, did see beverage cart few times though.

Everything is good here! Located conveniently near HWY 6 and University Drive, greens and fairways well kept, diverse holes with plenty of traps and lakes, plenty of shade for the summer months, really nice clubhouse area, you can get very good deals on the course fees, golf carts well kept, two courses to play on, lots of parking, and shot guns kept on schedule. Oh and the beer is ice cold!

I played in a tournament to raise money for Saint Thomas Moore Catholic School and it was great. The day started rainy but let.up as we teed off. It was cart path only because of the rain but the course was in nice condition. Even with all the rain the greens were not too slow. Lots of nature out on this course, alligators, ducks, turtles and birds. Water features provide a challenge on a few holes. I would highly recommend anyone in the Houston are to check out this golf course.

What a terribly managed course. I have gone 3 times in the last year. Each time, they happened to be hosting a tournament on one of the courses - something totally fine, except for one, tiny, insignificant detail - THEY ALWAYS LEAVE THE ******* TEE SHEET OPEN FOR THE COURSE YOU CANT PLAY!!!!!!!! Meaning we (the golfers) have to deal with both not playing the course we want, AND an over-packed course on the one that they keep open. We were out there for 6 hours and didn t finish 18. What a complete joke. Oh AND we had to start 40 minutes after our tee time because they only had a starter for the tournament (NOT the over-packed, double-booked course!!) and no carts available - because they double booked the WHOLE facility. No warning on the booking page, no email saying to cancel, no phone call to let anyone know. And they had ample time to do so, since we booked our time DAYS ahead. It really is as simple as clicking a button to close the tee sheet, but the lazy dipstick of a head pro (William Hicks) and tournament director (Meredith Bowman) are apparently too preoccupied with making life hell for the golfers they re overcharging. I bet they think their job is easy simply because they don t ever have to deal with the fallout of their consistently poor decisions in course/tournament management. Fire the whole leadership team. This sort of thing happens consistently at Quail Valley, and the ONLY explanation is that the people making the calls are incompetent to a truly staggering degree. I brought all of this up with the poor course marshall who had inherited the issue from his management, and it was VERY clear by his demeanor alone that I am not alone in thinking Quail Valley management needs to go. EDIT: I ve read the course s response to this review, and I have not/will not be contacting them. I am not going to give them a chance to make this right because they are simply unable to do so. I will not be returning to this dog-**** course until I see the names of their head pro (William Hicks) and tournament director (Meredith Bowman) change on the website. Short of that, avoid this place like the PLAGUE.

This place has great potential to be a really good place to play, but they really stack up the tee times and we had two groups of 5 in front of us that made our round take way longer than it should ve. Kindof not cool for smaller groups and solo players to have this going on, especially when tee times are every ~10 minutes. Greens were in rough shape, fairways decent, tee boxes hit and miss.

My grandson and I had the buffet upstairs at the country club and what a disappointment. The waitress attempted to sit us at a table with other people who had trashed the table. I asked why we couldn t be seated at a nearby empty table. After hemming and hawing, we were finally seated. It too was trashed!! Table cloth was filthy and there was no silver. The buffet food was practically all gone and that table was dirty. No one was bothering to clean after patrons finished eating and left, just set newly arriving guest in the leftover waste. The little food that was left was cold. Disgusting and I ll never dine here again. Not the Grille downstairs, this dump is upstairs.

It was my first time playing here this weekend. The weather was very awesome, a bit windy, but Did not affect play to a great extent. The golf shop staff was extremely polite and courteous. I played the La Quinta 18 as there are 2 full courses here. Unexpectedly the building that the golf shop was in was massive. It has a full restaurant and many other amenities. It appeared to be a city center building. I practiced at the range - 7$. It was very narrow, and too crowded meaning the spacing between each golfer was too close. I felt very uncomfortable. Also the mats were very hard to hit off of definitely needs new surfaces here. The course condition was very good. Cart path only today because of rain the day before. I must say that the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in decent shape. There were a few greens that need attention, but it was minor. The course was challenging and had a nice layout. Overall a great experience at a great price.

Let s start with the good stuff. They have a very nice clubhouse and the people are helpful. They also have the worst driving range I have ever seen along with the worst practice balls. They also don t have enough carts as this is the second time I have had to wait one hour to get a cart, while 35 carts are disabled, because there are no funds to repair them. Even though they know they don t have enough electric carts, they don t have any pushcarts either. The greens are only fair, because some have a little grass and some have many divots. People there tell me they have asked the city Council for additional funds for a long time, but there haven t been any.

There are two course here and both in good condition. This is a municipal course so prices are reasonable. Greens are in reasonably good condition. Tee boxes are good as well and fairways are reasonable. There is no beverage cart so load up at the clubhouse prior to the round. Course is marshaled and pace of play is around 4.5 hrs for 18-holes. This course does have great deals via the standard golf apps under the hot deals. At the hot deal price this course is a no brainer and excellent value. At the standard price this course is what I would consider to be the standard of average and good value. You will enjoy the course and will be challenged. There will be ground under repair and the condition of the course is not going to blew you away. Staff are friendly and I play here even outside the hot deal price.

I really enjoyed the course alot very challenging. However I left my JBL Bluetooth speaker attached to my cart. Mind you I turned my cart in to the cart crew member@ 7:30 pm I then called the clubhouse before they opened@ 6 am on sat. And asked about my JBL the gentleman told me he would check for me and to call back. I did infact I ended up calling back at least 5 more times even spoke to the manager Tyler only to be told no one has seen it. Which is highly unlikely.although it is my fault I will never return based on the interactions after I left my JBL charger 3

We tee off today (Sat. 6/26) at 07:52 and finished by 11am. Wow! The fairways and greens were in great shape and the staff is very friendly. One of my favorite courses to play. Ill definitely make that hour drive and play there again!!!

Went to the Starbucks there and the person was very rude. Did not give me what I wanted. And I paid extra.I never experienced rudeness from a Starbucks barista till that day. It was very upsetting and hurtful.
