Have been to one of the locations in Houston and saw there was now one in Missouri City. Came here for dinner and this just place does not disappoint! They always have the best hot and sour soup. Went for the Hot Diving Fish and it was one of the best dishes I ve had in a long time. The seasoning was very similar to what you would find in a Viet-Cajun restaurant. Luckily I believe this location has yet to be discovered as they were not busy when we went. I would expect as people begin to realize this gem is here and experience how great their food is, this location will become more busy.

Customer service is exceptional, there was a mistake made w my order. I immediately called and went back. My food was corrected and they insisted I keep the food that was incorrect. In other words, they saved me an hour on preparing dinner for my husband.

For the price increase the quantity has not changed. Different experience from the two different restaurants. There is one near Montrose Blvd, and they serve very good quantity. Hope they fix that soon. Also, pay attention to your customers. I had asked to reduce salt with the spicy chicken cubes dish but, no luck. It was super salty.

My family and I have fallen in love with this place! I don t write reviews ever but Cooking Girl deserves this praise. From the clean minimal aesthetics to the quick service there s not much I can think of that I don t like. The other half of the importance is the food, and after having gone here several times trying a large majority of the diverse menu, I can confidently say you can t order wrong. Everything tastes fresh and delicious!

First time trying Cooking Girl in Sienna Plantation, and it did not disappoint! I had the classic General Tsos chicken, and the Mala fries (not French fries, but absolutely delicious). Linda got the hot diving fish (fish with green chili and cucumber) and fried tofu with garlic sauce all fantastic. Portions were generous, and we even had leftovers for tomorrow. The customer service was excellent. We cant wait to come back and explore more of the menu!

Great place for quality food! My very picky kiddo loved the broccoli beef! We had soup dumplings, cucumber salad (a little spicy but very tasty), the Mongolian beef, shrimp fried rice, and broccoli beef. Staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, took great care of us. Will definitely be back, in person and for take out! Kid-friendliness: Entrees served family style for sharing, but they have a kids menu.

We picked up dinner on a Friday night - first time trying Cooking Girl! The service was fast and friendly and the food had just been brought out when we arrived to pick it up - perfect timing! We kept it simple and ordered the walnut shrimp and the kung pow chicken. The walnut shrimp is one of my favorite dishes and has been hard to find, so I already love them for having it! The sauce and consistency is perfect! The broccoli and walnut accompaniments were ok - the broccoli was a little too firm for my liking and the walnuts tasted too toasted. The kung pow chicken was good, but not great. The sauce is thicker than most other places with the same dish - almost more of a tomato paste consistency than a glaze consistency. It was good, but not great. We definitely want to dine in and try a few other dishes!

Found hair when I opened my take out rice today, and it wasn t fallen on it, it was stuck in the rice. Very disappointed, they could ve noticed it if they took a look when packing. The dishes taste doesn t match the price. The shrimp tastes weird, not fresh nor tender, and there s a part of each shrimp is not edible because too hard to chew. Ordered garlic eggplant before, portion was less than normal, and taste was bland. The price is slightly higher than other surrounding restaurants. The servers were friendly.

We like to support small business and was excited to have more Asian restaurant near Sienna. We ordered several dishes- eggplant with garlic sauce, general Tso chicken and the salt/ pepper shrimp. The eggplant was salty and the general Tso was salty as well. The shrimp dish tasted really odd - it had a weird ammonia taste to it, we threw half of it away. The food didn t taste fresh and the dishes are expensive. Also be careful about the tipping- it shows your usual 18%/20%/25% and if you want to add manual %, it populates not the % but the actual amount.

My husband and I ate lunch yesterday at Cooking Girl restaurant located in front of Academy (Sienna), south of IHOP. The food is so delicious!! Its served family style and the helpings are large. No lunch specials, however we found it quite economical. The chicken basil was exceptional and the green jasmine tea was so fresh!

This was our first time here and the place is very clean, the workers are super nice and welcoming. My bf ordered the sesame chicken and vegetable lo mein and he was blown away. He said it was the best sesame chicken he s ever had. We will def be coming back !

Delicious food, good service, authentic flavors. A lot of Szechuan flavor in most dishes. Husband and I rated meals 1. Fried green beans 2. Cold pork belly YUM 3. Cubed pepper chicken 4. This was my first time visiting this establishment, and it will not be my last. The food was amazing!! Everything was hot, fresh, and came out very quickly. I ordered the chicken potstickers, and they were hot and juicy. The chicken was not dry at all. The salt and pepper fish was light and crispy and not oily. The customer service was stellar, and the staff and manager (Feifei) were very attentive. The atmosphere was nice and clean! Overall, I had an awesome experience. I highly recommend you give this place a try. You will not be disappointed!

So glad to have a cooking girl so close to home! I remember we used to drive into town for their delicious food! We had their cucumber salad, Dan Dan noodles, Mongolian beef, cubed spicy crispy chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, and eggplant loves green bean recently. Everything was delicious but our favs are the cubed crispy and spicy chicken and the green bean loves eggplant. The veggie dish is probably our favorite at any restaurant. This location is decent sized but half the tables on the side are hard to sit at as the sun is blazing, they need some blinds to make those tables usable during certain hours. The service was great and nice. Glad to have this addition to the neighborhood.

I came here for lunch and I can say it is now my favorite chinese food spot. They had a nice blend of American style and traditional style dishes. Both are absolutely phenomenal. We tried the spicy cubed chicken which were delicious crispy bites and we tried fascination beef which was like nothing Ive ever had before, I am so glad to have tried it. It just opened and everything looks neat. The service is excellent and the food good. It is significantly better than the Sugarland location. I ordered eggplant with salty duck yolk. I saw the the plate came out but the server returned it to the kitchen. Later the manager(owner?) apologized the delay saying the first plate was not up to the expected appearance so had to be redone and she removed it from my bill. So obviously very attentive to detail.
