Pros: Comfortable King size bed; big room; good lighting in the room; adequate bathroom fixtures. Cons: Needs lot of improvements; bathroom door had chipped paint; room smelled musty or some chemical smell; both bathroom outlets did not work (tried resetting them to no avail), a/c outlet didn t have a faceplate; no USB plugs; no TV guide to help find channels; universal TV remote didn t have button for guide, unusual ceiling design making it look unfinished; no safe in the room; desk is unusually high; no pen in the room for writing; breakfast did not include a meat choice (no bacon nor sausage); instead pinto beans served for breakfast (in addition to eggs, waffles, etc) I would not stay here again.

Checked in on 8/23 started off ok until Saturday 8/24 left to do things around town came back ROOM WAS STILL A MESS, THERE WAS NO TRASH PICK UP, NO TOILET PAPER, NO TOWELS, BED STILL UNMADE. I WAS TOLD HOUSE KEEPING COMES EVERY THIRD DAY. IF I NEEDED TOWELS OR TOILET PAPER I NEEDED TO GO DOWN TO GET THEM MYSELF.....THEY SAID WE NEEDED TO TELL THEM WE WANTED OUT ROOM CLEAN. THIS IS VERY UNSANITARY, THEY DO NOT CLEAN THATS WHY PPL COMPLAIN ABOUT BUGS AND SMELL. I WAS NOT HAPPY SO WE LEFT, THEY ONLY WANTED TO GIVE A PARTIAL REFUND, GIRL SAID MANGER WAS GONNA BE THERE UNTIL MIDDLE OF THE WK. SO WE HAVE TO WAIT....IN LEAVING HOTEL I FORGOT MY SHOES, SO WENT BACK NEXT DAY TO GET THEM IT WAS 9:30 AM SHOES WERE STILL IN ROOM AND ROOM WAS STILL A MESS. The rooms are clean, the rooms in good condition. We received our rooms on time and in good condition, we booked without problems a few days before arriving. You can use the pool and gym. Without a doubt we will return Nearby activities: Location wise, you are close to Jack in the box, Burlington, etc. Food and drinks: The breakfast included in the hotel consists of several options, either cereal with milk (froot loops, zucaritas and rasin brand), toast, beagle, waffles, scrambled egg, sausage, Yoplait yogurt of various flavors, fruits that consisted of banana or apple. And to drink there was American coffee, decaffeinated and hot water.

Clean comfortable affordable cost breakfast gym and pool Rooms: Clean, comfortable beds, good climate and they serve you daily, garbage and towels, always on time. I rented for a week and everything was very good. The rooms were atrocious, my family and I got in around midnight and got our room key no issue. Until we walk into the room, immediately hit with a very bad smell of God knows what. Very quickly regretted my decision of booking. Our toilet did not work, there was either mold or a whole bunch of dust on the wall/ceiling trim. The pull out bed was so disgusting, I opted for having my daughter sleep on the sofa instead . WiFi was not working there was no remote for the tv. I immediately went downstairs and asked for another room. Staff was very nice no complaints there, but having friendly staff can only go so far. We get to our other room and yet again hit with a very bad stench, our fire detector looked as if it was completely torn off, still no remote. All in all very uncomfortable stay.

Rooms: Very comfortable beds.. Decorated so nice. And very clean. Safety: The pool is so Beautiful . There is a walk straight down. And a place for a wheelchair to go into the pool. And they had a lift for the Hot tub. Very Handicapped friendly.. I personally have never seen such consideration for people who need a wheelchair before. Ever. And iam 65.. Great Hotel. My wife and I normally stay at the La Quinta next to the McAllen Convention Center, but this time I opted to stay closer to her parents in Mission. Oh what a mistake. There is no question they are owned and managed by different people. When we drove up everything looked great. The staff at the front desk were nice and pleasant and the lobby and front desk were clean. Once we got to the elevator everything changed. The carpet in the elevator was badly stained and extremely dirty with debris. We stayed on the third floor. Once we got out of the elevator it got even worse. The debris in the carpet was horrible. It looked like the halls and elevator hasn t been vacuumed in months. When we got into the room it was the same. The carpet wasn t the only thing stained, the towels were also stained. There was a hole in the carpet as well. The sink drain didn t work and wouldn t drain water with help from shoving something in the drain cap. The HVAC unit didn t work well at all and the room was warm. The pillows weren t even standard pillows and they had on king pillow sheets. Let s just say, we won t be staying here anymore. It s a shame because they charged the same price as the La Quinta at the McAllen Convention Center and that place is awesome.

I stayed at this hotel because I was informed how it was a great place to stay but my demeanor quickly changed. I was staying here for a business trip and as I was about to check in I meet one of the owners nitin who is the son of the owners and him and his family are Indians he seemed respectful but I couldn t believe how his father walks in and starts trash talking the front desk agent in front of me and they constantly berated their employees I felt bad for the front desk agent. The woman at the counter is arrogant and rude, her name is Daniela. I told her that the bathroom was full of fungus... the pillows were balls... and the mattress was horribly hard... she answered me by telling me that I would have gone to another hotel if I wasnt comfortable. ..what a pity that I answer that way...and apart from the terrible breakfast, I know it is continental but poorly made, an egg with poorly made cheese inside and cereal is all that happens to them...there are people allergic to lactose.. ...the truth is I would not stay in that fatal place again, what a disappointment and a shame because it is in a good location...I do not recommend it...p.s. I told Daniela that I would report her and she laughingly told me to do it...what a shame about the staff....

Oh my, first let me say the staff was very pleasant. Its the accommodations that were/are very substandard. The pillows made us say what the heck!! Two small marshmallow pillows on each bed. For 4 guests there were only two bath towels. No other towels at all, no hand towels no wash cloths. We had to ask for them. One small soap, no other soap, no shampoo or conditioner. Mold on the shower walls. the small coffee pot was missing the pod holder so could not even make coffee . No sugar for the coffee at breakfast, No detergent available to purchase. And finally the room keys didn t work, we had to exchange them 3 times. Will we stay at this La Quinta again, most likely not. But all other La Quintas we have stayed in have been nice.

Came specifically for the pool and hot tub. The pool was filthy and there was no hot tub. I checked in 30 mins late and the room I had initially requested was not ready so I settled for a single instead. The key cards presented some difficulty on all common area doors that I tried and on my room door as well. A few light fixtures on the exterior were either loose or missing, the pool area at first glance looked clean but upon further review, there was trash outside of their receptacles and broken furniture, and glass tables that were brown from the dirt. The couch in my room was stained and there was some strange drip on the dresser across the bed. Staff was friendly. Initial presentation of the building and lobby looked good. Rated 3 stars specifically because its not as advertised in regards to the pool and lack of hot tub.

Mold inside the restroom. Food underneath the bed that wasn t cleaned out. The fridge does not keep your things cold. A/C controlled so it turns off and on, so it definitely caused me to come down with a cough. The TV does not have a TV guide so you had to find channels and at that they didn t have many channels. Pillows are literally the size of travel pillows. Blankets are paper thin and feel rough. Breakfast is free. Side door to come and go is broken. The halls are hot and humid. This hotel it not convenient when it comes to surrounding stores and restaurants. You ll have to drive.

Very neglected place by the staff, All day I saw the same ad for a wet floor in a dry place AND THE SAME PLACE, even at night there was a person collecting trash and he left the signs because they were still there in the morning. Bad breakfast, even worse coffee. I think that with someone on staff taking care of these details it could be improved. ROOM 208 Watering can It has a ventilation hatch that definitely needs URGENT cleaning. It feels like youre bathing in all the filth from the ventilation.

The AC unit had bread crumbs with fungus in the air filter, the door lock was broken, the walls and furniture scrapped. Hours before our arrival they sent us a cancellation email, without details of the refund for payment by debit card. The reason was that a credit card was not given, which is understandable. When we arrived they told us that there were no more rooms, although we offered to pay in cash. After searching for more options we found several apps that did have available, they still told us no and when we booked through the app and again offered to pay in cash they told us that they couldnt help us. I understand the cancellation and I even understand that the rooms had been filled, even that in some app there was a gap of empty rooms that had actually already been occupied, but really the deal seemed more like an intention to deny the service than the space. Without knowing, we later found out that the same thing has happened to other families, who knows if it is some of our own policy or lack of customer service or details in the exchange of information.

Once we got to the room, we looked over it. They only had small towels which are hand towels no big towels or wash clothes. We had 1 are already used toilet paper roll. Plus no working TV remote which they couldnt get us one, No iron board. So we called front desk, she came drop them off a couple of towels and 1 roll of paper. Now to the bathroom it wouldnt not flush the water was up to the rim, the hand sink gets clogged as well . We called front desk she said she would call us back . She called said she was coming up to the room . To only to drop us off plunger so we can do it. She said this would help. Thats what got us like are you serious! This is hotel was pretty bad. The tv is bad, the front desk is hit or miss. I tried to get two bottles of water and pay with card but the lady at the front told me that the card machine wasn t working even though we had used it earlier in the day to pay for the room. All the lights in the room buzz loudly. The bed was very nice and the shower was also good. But the soap and shampoo you get are pretty bad. I highly dont recommend this hotel La Quinta Inn Mission for the reason, on our first stay, we walked into the room and we had no towels in the bathroom. 3 nights I had to get my own towels at front desk and our room was not cleaned. It was a challenge and a disappointment with the service. I had a much better service in La Quinta Inn McAllen.

You get what you pay for, but you can at least try to clean the pet smells. You can at least bleach the towels. No smoking with burnt marks on the tub. Frankly, weve stay in several la quintas. This is the worst..

Would have given this 5 stars but the cleanliness wasnt as great as I hoped. Stains on carpet, musty room smell, bathroom looked like it was cleaned in a rush. First room we were assigned smelled like cigarette and got the room switched. Friendly staff, very nice and cold AC, comfortable clean bed & pillows, and awesome water pressure gives the 4 stars. I slept so well! The hotel needs some upgrades but overall great stay.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The building itself could use a little maintenance. Some of the doors need a paint recoat. The breakfast was okay. The room temperature was set to a low setting, but it didnt feel too cold. The pillows definitely need to be replaced.

There were no towels when we checked in, and there were still no towels in the morning. The bed sheets had stains on them. Walls were dirty, there were loose outlets. The telephone in the room did not work. The room needs to be touched up.

The receptionist was awesome, polite, attentive, and professional. I ended up with the very last room available. It was a great room; however, the living rooms A/c didnt work. No notepad/pen available. No Kleenex in bathroom. Towel quality was excellent. No evidence of any extra COVID cleaning. Tv remote in bedroom didnt work.

The carpets are filthy!!!! They are so gross. Seeing the carpets on the elevator I was hoping I would not find the same filthy carpets in the room. But sure enough my kids were walking around for like 1 min without shoes and their feet were black !!!
