The place was small and comfy. My husband got Eggs Benedict, which were wonderfully done and delicious. I got the Pork Chop and Eggs. The pork chop was dry and tough to eat. Cutting into it made the whole table shake, spilling my coffee. Other than that, it was a good meal. Will probably be back to try other items on the menu.

The food was absolutely delicious (i had the chilaquiles with both red and green salsa, so flavorful and chips were very crispy. My husband had the steak and eggs eggs were sunny side and cooked to perfection the steak however did need to be seared and was too chewy. Buttermilk pancakes are must if you go for breakfast. The mimosa are highly recommend as well. However, I will say this last visit was highly dissatisfying in regards to service. My husband and I tried to flag down several waiters and busser and they d simply walk past us. We were starting off our wedding anniversary and honestly wanted to order more mimosas and couldn t. Our waitress was no where in sight. The whole time we ate we only had the waitress come up to our table twice. I really hope they up their service in the future. Kid-friendliness: Even though there was more than plenty of Space and no one approaching our table we were told a high chair would be in the way and was denied. Wouldn t recommend for families.

My wife recommended this place. Stopped for lunch. I was by myself and was met by the owner. Didn t know he was the owner until later. He recommended the Sea bass. I told him I wasn t a fish person. He told me I would love it. I ordered it and was not disappointed. It was delicious. Had a jalapeño sauce on top that was very good and not too hot. The fish was cooked to perfection. Came with white rice and vegetables that went perfectly with the fish. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend this place you won t be disappointed.

Been going to Griffin since they opened. Order the Ruben Sandwich, always my go to. Today it came out with one slice of Pastromi, virtually no sauercrat, cheese, or sauce, dry bread and soggy fries. Owner came over & put more pastrami on,he said we only charge $8 is reason why. Is actually a $12 sandwich. Simple solution, sorry your right this is bad. Tood to back & stuffed in more Partrami, not much, maybe 2 slices. Owner has always been nice & attentive, treated me like Ive never been there & do not know the difference. My wifes Shrimp salad was fresh & she enjoyed as usual. She will keep going with her ladys group. I will not...sad after 8 years. The excuse of the Owner & not knowing his product & price is unexcussable, we have formally loved this place.

Visited here for the first time and loved it! Food was amazing. Great ambiance and service! Staff were very professional! And with prices going up everywhere, I thought their prices for a delicious entree was very reasonable. I give them an A+. We are regular customers. Food is excellent at reasonable prices. We like many items on the menue. The sea bass is excellent and similar to the quality of fish you can order in New Orleans, Panama City or Houston. Meals are healthy options as they come with a salad and vegetables. Food

Lucky me to live a block away from this wonderful establishment! We have never been disappointed with the food or service each time we have been there. My favorite meal to have is breakfast, and their breakfast menu has a great variety of choices. I love the avocado toast, banana and pecan waffles, and French toast. Their coffee has a great flavor. Their cups are too small for this avid coffee drinker, yet my cup doesn t ever stay empty for long. Great place to eat and get together with friends and family for any occasion. Parking: Located in a business strip, so depending on the time of day, the parking gets pretty full. Also, the parking lot is in need of repair as there are several large potholes that make it difficult to maneuver around.

ATMOSPHERE: The place itself feels quite crammed. Its not that big of a deal, but its a bit uncomfortable when other customers are bumping into your elbow or leg as they squeeze by your table. Id highly recommend removing one, maybe two tables so as to create a more comfortable environment for both the customers and the staff. Surely, this will never happen as Im suggesting they purposely reduce their revenue, but its a thought. As I made my way to the restroom, I noticed that the floor was incredibly greasy/slippery. If anyone here has been to the horseshoe taco place in town, youll know what I mean. You basically have to balance yourself so as not to slip and fall. I dont mind doing the balance act at ghetto taco shops, but this restaurant is supposed to be a notch above those places. Do us all a favor: mop your floor properly. The restrooms were quite clean, which was nice. The lighting is just right throughout the restaurant as well. FOOD: I ordered the red chilaquiles, over-medium eggs, and coffee. The plate comes with beans and potatoes. The eggs were cooked perfectly medium, which most places cant do right - the white will be a bit runny, or the yolk will be slightly solidified. Good job on that. The beans tasted homemade, and the potatoes were good. Basic, but good. Adding a bit of green bell pepper, onion, etc would definitely bring them up a big notch. As for the red sauce in the chilaquiles, it was very subpar. It was what I refer to as an americanized red sauce. It did have a slight hint of heat, which was nice, but its severely lacking authenticity. It was similar to the standard red salsa you can get at stripes for your Q taco. The totopos were very crispy and eye appealing. The first few bites were awesome - crunchy, fresh, and lively. However, halfway through I began getting that distinctive burnt-oil flavor. You know the kind: cook has used the oil a bit too many times, or with too high of a heat and the oil takes on a burnt aftertaste. Not good. SERVICE: The service overall was kind of average. The waitress was decently attentive, but she gave no input whatsoever when I asked her for her recommendation on the green or the red chilaquiles. All she said was that the only difference was the sauce (yeah, no duh). Some places make their red sauce real spicy. Others make it out of chile rojo, which is mostly just for color and flavor. Itd be nice if she would have elaborated a bit. This place also plays out like a fancier-than-normal mexican restaurant. Yet, they brought us our checks when we werent even done or close to done with our visit. Sure, she explained that it was no rush and to take our time, but its also quite off-putting to bring the checks without being prompted to. Its also an indicator for the customer that the waiter/waitress is basically now going to ghost your table. Perfectly fine for lesser places like a hole-in-the-wall restaurants and such, but not if youre trying to appear fancy and classy. Speaking of hole-in-the-wall, I wont give details on here because I dont want it to appear like Im attacking this restaurant. All Ill say is that management should seriously consider hiring a pest control service. Good luck to this restaurant and its customers. We dont see ourselves coming back at all.

The food was good dont get me wrong, but we were there for almost an hour an our food never came. By them our lunch break was over so we had to take our food to go. The sad part it that they were simple dishes to make 15 minutes tops. I ordered a 3 meat panini and they order shrimp tacos. So it took them at least 50 minutes to make these simple items. Thanks for ruining my lunch and it was kind of warm in the restaurant. I chose this place because I saw 5 star ratings and was disappointed. Definitely not worthy of 5 stars. I gave the 2 because the food was good not gonna lie. Oh b4 I forgot its was at 1:30 when I was there

Atmosphere , taste and price is good! I do however have some feedback. I got a burger and it was cooked well and tasted good but it s not assembled when you get it which does allow you to put what you want on it but I think it would make more sense to ask what toppings I want and just put them on the burger vs bringing me toppings I don t want that stay on my plate the entire meal. It also came with fries and they were soggy I would have preferred crispy fries. Other than that it was nice

An excellent breakfast! I got the fried chicken and waffles, and not only was the food scrumptious, but the presentation was the nicest Id seen locally! I also had an opportunity to try the chilaquiles. Great flavor, but the chips needed more crunch. Our service was great, the owner even answered our questions about a plant inside. Amazing food! The Migas Poblanos is so delicious. Seriously good. My favorite breakfast dish there out of many outstanding dishes I ve had at Griffin Grill. Decided to try this place because its so close to where we stayed on vacation, and am very happy we did. The food was very good at a reasonable price, and service was great. So good, we had to go back for lunch a 2nd time. I loved the chili rellenos so much the first lunch I had to get them again. Have been coming here for several years for dinner and have never had a bad experience until last night. We invited a friend to join us. She ordered the lamb chops which were so tough she could not cut them and her mashed potatoes were cold. She returned the plate to the kitchen, very disappointed. I had a shrimp dish. The rice was luke warm as well as the vegies. My wife ordered the salmon and requested the sauce be placed on the side, it was not served as requested. Sad part is, neither the manager nor the server, knowing our dissatisfaction, offered any sort of apology or explanation. We will be dining elsewhere in the future.

Starting off by saying, I d recommend trying this place out! Best chicken and waffles I ve had in a good while! The chicken was very flavorful and juicy. The waffles had a pleasant crunch and I appreciated the little side of berries. The biscuits and gravy were delightful. The biscuit itself was cooked very well with an outside crisp, but soft enough to use just a fork to cut. The gravy was a perfect balance-not too thick/not too watery, and I appreciated that the sausage was added on top so I would have the option to say no sausage. The smallest note-we waited to be seated a little longer than I expected because the placement of the stand and a wall does not allow them to know when or how long people are waiting. I m here just visiting, but the next time I visit I definitely plan to come by again!

We had the chicken parmigiana- DELICIOUS. I don t know where they get their bread, or if they make it from scratch, but it is so good. My only complaint the water. The manager came and chatted with us a few times, and he was friendly. The rest of the staff who waited on us were friendly, too! Had a wonderful time out with friends. Everything was good but nobody down here knows how to cook French fries. Oh they were cooked through and tender but I like mine cooked twice. Once to get them cooked and once again at a high heat to get them crispy. Rubin panni was good, my wife had a Thai salad which she enjoyed very much. I stumbled across this establishment when I couldn t find a brunch restaurant without a 30+ minute wait in the area. I was pleasantly surprised. The outside does not reflect the aesthetic of the inside. The food was made from scratch and the mimosas were made right. I had the shrimp scampi - very little flavor. Pretty much just oily noodles with an hint of garlic. Also the shrimp still has the tails on it so you have to pick them up from the bowl to eat them. Ordered the house salad with blue cheese and again the blue cheese dressing had little flavor and lettuce was warm and limp. I d heard some good things about the place so maybe the other dishes are better. Total disappointment for me.

Really cool little grill!! Food was delicious!! Spouse had ribeye and I had Griffin burger. The waitress was so nice, helpful and made suggestions (the onion rings a must!!) would for sure return if ever in the area again!! Good place, good people, good food!!

I gave a four however 1. Excellent service 2. Excellent atmosphere 3 food tastes great. Above is really 4.5 as only issue I had was the poached egg was like a hard boiled egg see photo . No run at all . I will be back and give better instructions for an egg that still runs ..I recommend this restaurant

I have overlooked the Griffin Grill for 4 years but very happy to have finally stopped and tried it. The food and service were both outstanding. My wife and split an order of nachos and they were more than enough for two people. From the person who seated, the waitress and the owner were all very attentive and very friendly. The selection on the menu was very adequate and price reasonably. I will definitely go back.

Reasonable prices, charming place, but the attention they give is minimal, I understand that it is a busy place but no one looks for the faces of the diners, my husband and I turned around trying to make eye contact with an employee but it didnt work, and it is not the first time this has happened. The flavor of the Mexican dishes is not bad but it is not something you would come back with either, the flavor and temperature of the pancakes were very good, perhaps that is their specialty. I would give it another chance if they changed customer service, they have to stop by the table several times (at least 2 times) to ask if the customer needs anything else or if everything is okay, thats what theyre missing.

It was at Christmas time and the dining area was beautifully decorated. The owner, Antonio, is welcoming. The english muffins in the eggs benedict need to be toasted. The orange juice should come in a 10-12 oz serving. Other than that, I love this restaurant. Well prepared! Great price point.

We tried this place again, their brunch which was recommended. Be aware, it is a popular spot for brunch on the weekends. Food and service were fantastic! What a hidden gem! You walk in a quaint and beautifully decorated restaurant hidden in the middle of a small plaza. Great tasting food at a reasonable price! We each ordered something different and each dish was fantastic. The service was great! The young man that seated us, the young lady that served us and the owner were polite, helpful and friendly! We will be back at a different time of the day to try on the other menus.

The food was pretty good. Only issue I had was my steak was not seasoned. The waitress immediately noticed something was wrong, i didnt even ask but, she was on point. She took it back and got it taken care of, came back with a perfectly cooked steak and nicely seasoned. Vegetables were nice and crunchy. I cannot stress enough how welcome the staff made me feel. Will definitely go back and recommend it to friends and family. Kid-friendliness: Ive been here before with my 4 and 6 year old. They loved the food.

I tried the eggs Benedict, the hollandaise sauce was amazing! Country fried steak was good. The potatoes were the highlight of that plate though, recommend adding some red salsa. The strawberry mimosa did not really taste like strawberry but it was still good. Coffee was yum and the wheat pancakes were good. Vegetarian options: They are very accommodating and more than likely would take out the meat from any plate Parking: Big parking lot, easy to find a spot on weekends

I have become a regular at this restaurant. I am pleased to say that the owner and the wait staff are extremely courteous. The food is delicious and pleasing to the eye. The grill has a great lunch special which changes daily and is the best price in town hands down. This is a must try for anyone thats looking for a good food. The place is small, but the owner is planning on expanding and I have never had to wait very long to get a table. I usually go after lunch rush. Curbside is available. Wheelchair accessibility: The owner and the wait staff are extremely friendly and are more than willing to accommodate a large wheelchair. The bathroom area is adequate for a wheelchair.

My youngest recommended we go to this restaurant. To start if the coffee is delicious...its going to be an awesome breakfast...and It Was. I am from East Texas and was wondering how the biscuits & gravy were going to taste. Loved that they had more than enough chunks of sausage! All our dishes were finger licking good. The restaurant was very well decorated and had a homey chic vibe. There was no rushing even after we had finished our meals. We had a very pleasant and satisfying experience
