Nice quiet trial tucked away in a safe neighborhood offering both a residential and private experience. It wonders through woods and open fields and displays a fair amount of Perennial colors accompanied by bird blinds, feeders and benches. The trail is mostly a dirt path but has a pretty neat boardwalk overlooking many tall trees. I gave 4 stars because though it is an easy hike I like a little more challenge. Other than that its a good hiking trail with no back pack needed unless you plan on staying a while. It makes for an easy hike as it circles back to the starting place. I also made a video you can check on KW 1 Adventures-Mockingbird Trail Midlothian Tx

Decided after being stuck at home during the snow and ice storm last week to check this place out. The park has a great little butterfly garden at the start of the trail along with neat insect/pollinator motels. Along the way we found 2 bird blinds and benches along the trail. There was also a nice boardwalk that takes you into the woods. Will definitely be back in the Spring to see everything in bloom!

Love what they are doing at this little park. Not only are the trails greatly maintained, they have given wildlife a place to thrive. It means a lot to my family that they are letting native plants and animals get back what so many have taken. We will be visiting this park regularly to enjoy simple walks and enjoying nature.
