Ive always loved Alldredge. Its one of my happy places. They have great plants and a fun shop too. But the reason Im writing this review today is to thank one of their yard crews. I was having trouble getting a large heavy box inside my house (the mail man had dropped it and broken it open), when one of their kind employees saw me struggling with it while driving by. He stopped and offered to help me get it inside. I should have gotten his name, but THANK YOU!!!

First time visiting this place. The food was very good, lots of good and healthy options to choose from here. The wedge salad with grilled chicken was delicious. There can be a wait at times, but it is worth it because you get to sit among a natural greenery of plants and you may even find your next house plant there. I recommend going, this place has great vibes.

Some friends came in from out of town and one had never been so we decided to go there and eat and one of my friends thought they closed at 2pm on a Saturday but apparently it s 1:30, regardless we were put on the waitlist, told we would be notified when our table is ready and it would be a 30 minute wait. We were leaving the hostess stand, someone told the hostess to not seat any more walk ups and since we had a 30 min wait we went across over to the store because we were told it would be a 30 minute wait we were barely over there when about 10 minutes in, I get an alert on my phone that our table is ready so we pay for stuff and head over to be seated only to be told that they don t have any tables (as we are looking at empty tables) and that they ran out of food? well then why take a reservation or put us on the waitlist at all? Then here is the frustrating part, I asked to speak to the manager and was told that the owners son or general manager would follow up with me with a phone call and I was even asked for my phone number and that it would be passed along and here we are almost a week later and they can t be bothered to even follow up with me. So they just lost three customers that day. They will never see a penny of my money again and not a very good impression on someone from out of town that s never been! Just very disappointing Customer Service, I guess I expected too much from a place that supposedly is higher echelon or at least they pretend they are by the prices in their gift shop.

People, be aware of where you park when Alldredge Gardens work crews are out. If they damage your vehicle, they will not pay for damages. They will even try to blame others for the damage. After their crew broke the window on our truck while my husband was getting a haircut, the operations manager, Leo, told my husband that their insurance company refused to pay because it could have happened any time. My husband had described the crew and where they were weedeating. He sent pictures and expected them to stand behind their crew. Im sure a company like this could afford the $400 its going to cost to replace it better than we can. They have lost our business.

It s always a pleasant time when I stop by Alldredge! I love all the different type of plants they offer and that they are so well kept and thriving! The employees (specifically Caitlyn-she was great!) are all very nice, ready to help and knowledgeable on plants/items as well. While they didn t have one plant I was looking for, I was not bothered at all since I do not mind making another trip when they have it back in stock. Either way, with their wide variety, I ended up with other plants than what I was originally there for. Looking forward for the next trip!

What a fantastic experience at Alldredge Gardens in Midland, Texas! This plant nursery is an absolute gem with an incredible selection and the friendliest staff you could ever ask for! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the lovely Valerie, who went above and beyond to help me choose the perfect plants for my garden. Not only was she incredibly friendly, but her knowledge and passion for plants truly shined through! She even took the time to assist me in potting my new green friends - talk about excellent service! I cant believe how much I learned in such a short period of time! Alldredge Gardens is definitely the place to go for all your plant needs. I left feeling inspired and excited to nurture my new plants. This place is a hidden gem in Midland. The Cafe at the Gardens is the best part and the gift shop is cute as could be! The food is phenomenal and the atomosphere so unique! I am gluten free and was able to find options I could eat as well!

Beautiful place with very large selection. I went for soil which was 35 here and 25 at the co-op. Aside from a few high prices its a nice place. Edit to respond to owner reply. The didnt seem high, they were $10 more at your store vs multiple others in the area. I shopped around. Doesnt seem competitive. Youre big selling point is selection. Enjoyed the visit.

Good luck getting someone to come out to give you a quote. Called twice before someone called me back (waited 2 weeks between the calls) and then he (Ben) didn t show up for the appointment. Called back again and never heard back from anyone.

We really liked this place. A lot to see, plants were reasonably priced. However, at checkout we had an experience. My husband asked, in English, where we could check out. The front lady at the register didnt even bat an eye and said oh give me a second and went and grabbed somebody else. So we waited, figured it was the pots that we were purchasing that they needed to look for the price or something. Then a gentleman comes up and asks us if we are ready in Spanish. We do speak Spanish. But we dont ONLY speak Spanish. That didnt really sit right with us. Being profiled and not even trying to interact with a paying customer should not be part of their customer service. We bought the pots but we wont be coming back. We will search out a place that doesnt profile and automatically give up. The USA is a melting pot of cultures. Try harder and be better, Alldredge Gardens.

About 2 months ago, Zan (manager??) said he would visit my location. He never showed, never returned any calls. I have called the office and they are aware of his behavior but for some reason he is still employed. The office staff said the Owners son would return my call, but still no response and no work done. I found another landscaping company and it was taken care of promptly.

Let s get this out the window, Great place with a huge outside area and that s not all. The inside is double as big as it is OUTSIDE! The plants are in good shape, some rare plants that I ve seen only online. If you think that s all, think again! They even have a café inside with fishes and good food. It s hard to find a nursery this large even in places like Houston and Los Angeles. A special gem in west Texas. You are going to find very large mature plants here but remember- the bigger they are the more they hurt the wallet. This is also a premier place to buy gas powered lawn tools and pots. They gots da pots! Try their lunchtime restaurant for a special treat!

I was driving down loop 250 on 1/19/2023 and was behind an Alldredge truck pulling a seemingly empty trailer, however small rocks started pouring out of the trailer and they were flying down the road, I was already at a safe following distance but I began slowing down to try to avoid a rock chip but it was too late. I got a big quarter sized star on my windshield. I tried taking a photo of the truck but that s difficult while driving 60 mph, and being far enough away to avoid more rocks, an obviously unsafe so after one attempt I stopped trying. I immediately called the company to at least inform them so they could remind their employees to sweep their trailers out before getting on the loop. The manager I spoke to was not very helpful and she confirmed what I knew that the photo wasn t very good evidence. I was polite and felt at the end of the day I can try and get the chip plugged and move on but hopefully they can stop that from happening to others. I was on my way to an appointment so I was unable to get it repaired immediately and by the time I left the appointment less than two hours after the chip happened it had already spread significantly. I went to the windshield shop and they said the whole thing had to be replaced. I texted the number I sent the photo to and asked if there was anyway they could help me out with this because it s no longer a simple chip repair. They called me today to inform me that they would take no responsibility because the photo isn t enough proof and had the audacity to tell me I was wrong that it was not their truck and there are several lawn care companies with green wrap on them so I was mistaken about it being their truck. If they would have left it at sorry there s nothing we can do because the photo isn t good enough I would have been fine but to tell me I didn t read alldredge off the side of their truck set me off and I ll admit I told the manager to have a great f***ing day and hung up her after she caught an attitude and insisted that I was wrong about reading alldredge off the side of the truck in a rude tone.

We had a great experience picking out a few new desert plants for our landscaping. The gentlemen who helped us was new but extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We are crossing fingers that our Ocotillo take before winter. We will be back in the future. They have a wide variety of gardening tools as well. We got a new nozzle there that works great. Beautiful ambiance.

I contacted Alldredge Garden on August 26 to request the services of an Arborist. After being placed on hold until they reached the right person who knew how to direct my call to the right person to set up my request for services rendered, the person that I spoke to took my contact information and informed me that the people who were responsible for contacting me to secure the services with me were off on Fridays and the weekends. I was informed that I should receive a phone call from one of the ladies on Monday, August 30th. I did not receive that phone call. On Tuesday, I contacted Alldredge to inform them that no one has contacted me to follow up on my request. I then asked to speak to a member of management to escalate my request for services. I spoke to the manager and he placed me on hold , shortly afterwards, another person answered the phone. She asked for my contact information, I then informed her that I have already given that information the previous week and that I have not been contacted. She asked for my name and contact number and informed me that Maria is the person that works in that department and she will leave my contact information on her desk. I was told that Maria was at lunch and I would receive a phone call from her before the end of the day. I never received that phone call and I am tired of contacting these people. Apparently Maria and her co-workers do not care about returning my phone calls and do not need my patronage. What is wrong with customer relations , they fail to adhere to their customers needs!

We have been back and forth about buying a tree because we couldn t decide what type was best. The first guy who was called up to help with a tree purchase gave us one suggestion and seemed uninterested in helping us. He walked us outside and pointed to the trees and told us we could go look at them, which we did. Once out there we read the signs but not all trees had signs so we were probably looking a little lost. At that point, a man named Rueben came to ask us if we needed help. He told us which trees where best for what we wanted, he was patient with us and our two small children. He walked back and forth with us from the smaller trees back to the larger trees and he never once seemed like we were inconveniencing him. He sold us a $500 Lacebark Elm and explained the proper way to plant it and care for it. He did such a good job from the time he approached us to the time he walked us to the registers. Rueben, you rock! Thank you.

I m sad because I love this nursery but today I bought a Chinese evergreen plant and it had mealy bugs. I know it s a risk you take buying plants but I called to tell them, thought they might wanna know because it spreads like crazy all I was told was we sell stuff to treat that . Really disappointed. I dont know the 2 cashiers that worked yesterday, and today 2-12-22 around 10am today, and 3p 2-11-22, but youre both very rude, and it isnt the first time. When a customer walks up ready to spend their money, you should out of common sense speak/greet the customer, but instead, and as usual you finished your conversation without even saying a word to me. Ive come in here before, and I get the same blase demeanor from the short african american guy. If you dont want to be at work, go home and let the rest of us enjoy our lives without having to feel uncomfortable. The rest of the staff seem to be pretty nice! The workers outside are more friendly! I dont really want to come back here and feel unwelcome again. As for the plants, over priced, but sometimes worth it!

This place is an oasis in West texas! If you are looking for plants and flowers for both indoors and outdoors the selection is phenomenal. The staff is beyond accommodating and will help you find the perfect thing. There is also a bar and cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. You will really enjoy a visit to this place. I purchased two yuccas with installation. There was a miscommunication and mediocre customer service. Long story short: after speaking with the right person, they were professional and prompt. To make the situation right, they came out the next morning to install my yuccas. I appreciated that. Also, during install, Josh came out and walked me around my yard and gave advice on some of my other plants. Install staff was quick and polite. They offer a great selection that fits all price ranges.

We have shopped at Alldredge Gardens for years. I needed a specific type of verbena ground cover. So the sales person showed me what they had. 1 kind, 1 size, no special orders given. So I purchased (4) 1 gallon size plants, only to get them home to find they were not the same type of plant. We purchased these plants on Sunday and asked to return or change them on Tuesday. IT IS NOW Their policy you can not return plants. Nor can you exchange them, or even get a store credit. So just KNOW once you leave with them you are stuck with them. You pay more than anywhere else in town, there is NO WARRANTY on them, and there Customer Service is atrociouslyy RUDE!!! THEY will no longer get my business

Bought hydrangeas on Tuesday and they are getting some rust stains on the stems. I ve kept them water and facing the east sun in my breakfast nook until I could plant them. Called and no one could really help. It seems like their staff is not educated enough on caring for plants!

I always thought of this nursery as a more high end place to buy plants. My Mother took me there for my birthday and bought a Boston fern which is a plant Ive always wanted (And I am a HUGE indoor plant person!) We got a decent size container with a Boston fern in it thinking well maybe they have an excess of them. I also noticed there were alot of leaves cut back and assumed that the ferns were springing back from winter. After a couple days I found leaves on my floor and then upon closer inspection CATAPILLARS! So while trying to keep all my plants in the room with our fireplace due to the huge freeze across Texas so I didnt lose them I was and still am battling these catapillars. I dont use pesticides so Im still researching how to kill them but take my advice and dont trust that this place is on the up & up. They had to know all those ferns were infested with as many plants as they had for sale. I only have one and found the caterpillars without even searching that hard. Never had this problem at Lowes or Home Depot and pay a quarter of the price at those stores!

We always enjoy lunch here when in Midland. The food is excellent and unique. Service is always good too. But the setting is what makes it so special for me. Being in the greenhouse area, its sunny, but not too bright. Plantings and water features provide a level of privacy that fosters intimacy. The children always love watching the Koi.

I walked around looking at plants and had several employees smile at me but no one offered to help. I got my own cart and loaded plants and mulch which is heavy. I went inside the store and asked if i was suppose to push the cart inside. She went outside, wrote down my items, then came back inside to check me out. After I paid, I thought she would have someone assist me but NO, i pushed the heavy cart out to the parking lot and unloaded my items myself. I expect that at a box store but not a high end nursery. Guess i wont be going back there.

Attended a Wedding at the Gardens. (Dec. 29th) So extremely beautiful and the staff was very attentive and the food was exceptional. The general manager was really on the ball with service. I wouldnt hesitate to contract Joyce Widman for any upcoming events, as this was a true success.

Great option if your wanting to shop local. The only other places are Home Depot, Walmart, and Lowe s for garden equipment. They have a good selection of mulch and a knowledgeable staff on everything for your yard. They also have a gift shop that s air conditioned if your looking for something interesting. Very similar to shopping at Ace Hardware.

The plants and accessories are great, the food is wonderful! But the customer service on the plant side is nothing short of rude. The girl at the register really should be watering plants where she doesnt have to interact with customers, she clearly doesnt want to be there. Shes asking me prices like Im the one that works there and had no interest in customer service, maybe its a summer job......

This place was amazing for lunch. The menu has many options and quality ingredients. We tried the bacon wrapped jalapenos with cream and Jack cheese which were great. The burger had a really good juicy patty. The best thing about this place is the atmosphere. The ponds with fish plus a waterfall make this a relaxing place to chill while dining. You are surrounded by the nursery and the temperature is almost always pleasant. Guys drink a few of the adult beverages before your wife goes into the nursery after eating. You will need it if your wife loves plants.

Went earlier today to look around. The ladies working outside in the nursery were very nice, friendly and helpful. On the other hand as we arrived an older gentleman and I do use the term loosely...impatiently drove in front of us in a small forklift or some contraption. We had to move out of his way , he did not wait for us to enter the nursery area. Not so much as an excuse me, thank you or a wave. Then when it was time to pay the cashier had a conversation going with another employee that was bringing plants in. No one greeted us, did you find everything you needed, thank you for shopping, please come again....so much for customer service....this customer WONT be returning.
