Its been a while since I visited this location and it has gone down.We had a large party,so wait time was not the problem. It was everything after.We made it to our table,chips and salsa was there already, but cold(not sure how long they were there before us). Orders taken..eventually came out..again not at temp..as if it was sitting there for a while before it made it to the table. Maybe the waitress was overwhelmed, but this was not the experience I was expecting. After a while you just get fed up on telling her what was wrong, just time to pay and go.

Poor service, didn t get to try the food. Sat in a booth for 15m, everyone around me placed drink orders and received chips. I sat with zero acknowledgement, got up and left. Hostess thanked me as I was leaving, I explained what happened, she blank stared me.

I popped in for a quick lunch today and had the best service from a male bartender. He was quick with the chips upon my arrival, was super polite everytime he checked on me, and always had a smile. This is not the type of service that is out there these days, but he definitely turned it around on this visit and it made the atmosphere more enjoyable. The food was hot and freshly made and the sangria swirl margarita was refreshing.

My husband and I decided to have dinner last night at this restaurant we were seated the hispanic waitress with the mole on her face took our drink order I ordered a margarita and my husband had a beer another party came in and she went to take care of them we sat and waited 20 minutes still no drink and we had not even placed our food order when we see her come out with margaritas and drinks for the table beside us that came in like 10 minutes after us we sat and waited 15 more minutes still nothing we finely left the restaurant now I understand why this Restaurant is dying out. I travel and go to On The Border everywhere I can. I like the margaritas. Well, sometimes theyre restaurant is good, sometimes theyre OK and sometimes theyre bad...theyre never the same. Well, this one....holy crap...AMAZING. By FAR the BEST On The Border I have ever been to and Ive been to a ton across multiple states. The margarita was perfect, the Ranchiladas was perfect, my girls tacos were perfect, the service was great. I have zero complaints on this one. In fact, I was so distracted by the freshness, taste and overall experience that I forgot pictures. Oh well, I will be back again now that Ive moved to TX and live 20min away. Parking: More parking spaces than max capacity. In other words...theres plenty of parking.

We had a great experience here. They offered exceptional service and our server was just awesome. He made the dining experience more enjoyable with his terrific personality and conversation. Food was excellent and served promptly. We had the shrimp tacos and beef chimichangas, and the Primo Queso was a yummy starter for our meal. Delicious! I highly recommend a visit to this location. Your drinks are kept filled, the food is fabulous and served piping hot, and the customer service is attentive, engaging, and just outstanding! Parking: Parking was not an issue in their free parking lot.

I haven t been to OTB in a LONG time, but I was impressed. I got the shrimp tacos and they were bigger than I expected. They more than filled the taco, and the taste was kickn. My only complaints were the chips being stuck together and greasy, and the Spanish rice wasn t that good. It didn t taste or appear fresh, like none of it stuck together. The kitchen also gave me flour tortillas instead of corn as I requested, but our waiter Anthony took care of it right away. I would say the food was good, but the service was great. Kudos to Anthony for providing friendly service and being thorough. Prices are about average if you live in Dallas, but the portions brought to my friends at the table appeared to be fair. I would try OTB again.

On The Border. Well, do you really even need someone like me to write a review? I suppose you may really not know what On The Border even is, which would blow my mind, but I suppose that its possible that someone would come into Texas or something and somehow end up in Mesquite Texas and then somehow end up on Google and then somehow be looking for some Tex-Mex to eat. So yeah. I guess its possible. This On The Border has been here a long time, like more than 20 years, at least. Its seen its better days at the end of the 90s when the nearby AMC 30 was still new, but you gotta give them credit: they are the only survivor. What is now Cheddars was once Bennigans. Across the street what was once Joes Crabshack is now a dirt pile. Next door what used to be a Johnny Carinos is now a Crab Place. Even the spot that is now Del Rio was originally a Hoffbreau Steaks... On The Border IS A SURVIVOR. The final original spot left. As for the food? The service? The decor? Fine. Fine. Fine. Its fine. Youll have a fine time. Its fine. Fine.

Love this place, Every Tuesday they have $2 Tacos that taste better than a lot of places charging more than $2 for a taco ..... The Chicken is boiled to perfection with cumin its very flavorfull with the beans and rice and nicely shreded lettuce this is a home run on Tuesday Nights. The restaurant was filthy. The floors were sticky as well as the tables and menus. Luckily, since COVID, I travel with Lysol wipes and was able to wipe the table and menus. I was here about 2 weeks prior and there were open trash receptacles in the dining area, near the end of our table. I asked the server if he could move it and he did so but I was wondering why they were there in the 1st place. The food was really good and the service was good but the manager needs to work on the appearance of the establishment. That could deter patrons. I had to take my kid to the restroom and it was atrocious.....this is a huge no return for me and my party. It left me wondering about the condition of the kitchen

Terrible service this time. We were there to celebrate my dads 88th birthday.Sever took quite a bit of time to acknowledge us. Brought us our drinks and chips and salsa and we ordered queso as an appetizer. She brought our queso and dropped it off at the table and disappeared. She didnt give us a chance to ask for more chips and salsa. The queso just sat and we couldnt eat it. By the time she came back the queso was cold.
