Breakfast here was let me just say, interesting. The place was dead like 2/3 people here while we were here. The young male waiter was very nice and attentive. The female was nice, but English was not her strong point. The menu was pretty extensive. And I was happy that there was an option on there for me, since I don t eat meat. I ended up getting the veggie omelette with home fried potatoes and grits: coffee for me. Luis got the eggs with two pork chops and home fried potatoes with grits: water for him. The food arrived quickly. But I can say beyond the shadow of a doubt that it was lacking any and all flavor. There was no seasoning on anything. I very rarely have to add salt or pepper to my food. But here I had to. Luis said that the pork chops were good because they were lightly breaded, but also no flavor at all. He also said the sausage was obviously cooked in the microwave. The coffee was OK. But it could certainly be better. I had to add cream and sugar, which is also a rarity. Lastly, the restrooms. The ladies restroom was, for the most part, clean. The men s restroom had toilet paper on the floor, and my husband said it could have been cleaner. All in all, we won t be back. Just simply because of the lack of flavor in the food. It was just not good enough for us to return.

They couldn t make a decent waffle it was barely warm and had zero taste no vanilla extract in sight. Eggs had a faint sulfur smell indicating they were a little older than what should be served to customers. Sausage patties were a microwaved rubbery mess, worse than McDonald s. When we let our server know how bad the the food was he requested the meal be discounted and his request was denied by the manager and we were told to pay full price, I still tipped cause he was good at his job. There were flies alive and dead around the table, and the food was terrible and management wasn t concerned with how terrible the experience was for their customers. I left almost everything on my plate except the hash browns which were the closest thing to decent with enough salt and pepper. For the record Iker was a friendly and attentive server, and I hope he finds employment elsewhere cause this place deserves to shutdown

Our waiter was very kind. However the food here was very disappointing. My husband s chicken and waffles were very dry. The tenders appeared to be tenders that were straight out of a freezer bag I ordered the chicken fried steak and upon eating I noticed the taste was off. I started to look more at the meat and it was fried pork We informed the waiter for clarification because I ordered a chicken friend steak. He went back to the cook and we could here the cook tell him it was beef We appreciate the waiter for addressing my concern. But overall disappointed with the food and how no one from the kitchen or management seemed to care.

Me and my boyfriend have gone here twice now and we love it! We always feel welcomed, it s never too busy, the food comes out quick and the food is always amazing. Today we tried the trompo tacos, they were extra stuffed and delicious! We get served by a sweet young man I believe his name is Iker and he always meets our needs and checks up on us! Definitely will be going back and definitely recommend!

This was good food at a good price. Non greasy sausage and bacon. Great service by college age kids and the owner personally came out. You can tell it s a newer business and getting off the ground. Local support would be nice! Suggestion-as you are located beside a well known breakfast chain, a large floaty sign with $3.99 egg special may be more helpful. I forgot to take photos.

I called ahead to see if they could accommodate 12 adults. They said yes. Everyone ordered extremely basic breakfast items. It took over an hour to come out. In that hour we never got refills on our drinks. When the food came out, it was cold. Something s were not as described and others were inedible. Half of our group never got their food. This place has pretty good omelets (my favorite) and fairly good service. The facilities are not great. You notice a disagreeable, almost sewery smell as you enter. Again, the food is pretty good, but I am thinking of finding a new breakfast restaurant for when I visit Mesquite because of the really mediocre (and slowly degrading over time) physical condition of the place.

I just sent my son there & I spoke with the clerk directly and placed our order because they didn t answer the phone, when my son got there, no one was even there. So why they didn t answer, not sure. When he returned with my food it was not served as the way I ordered. I spent $50 between 2 meals not to get what I ordered. I couldn t even eat it. I did nibble on the pancakes and they were good, which is why I give 2 stars. Service is horrible! Then my pork chops are not cooked through. I can t get past the smell to even eat them. Please review other options before eating here.

This place was gross. The entire inside smells like a used toilet. I ordered the French toast. It was so soggy and covered in cinnamon I couldnt even get past 1 bite. They took 15 minutes to bring us our pancakes. Once we got them we were done eating anyways. And they were doughy as well. Bland potatoes. Our waiter was great very sweet and kept our drinks topped off but we wont be back.

Waited a while before our breakfast. Saw that a person came in about 5 minutes after us and they got their breakfast before us. My wife s breakfast was over easy eggs that were over cooked, soggy hash browns with mushrooms that came out of a can, pancakes were weird like gritty not eatable at all the toast was not even toasted it was like it came out of the toaster set at 1 on the dial. My chilaquiles that I had to wait another 5 minutes for after everything that was served was not worth the wait I regret not taking a picture not crispy no queso fresco the salsa tasted like not like your traditional Salsa Roja the only reason we stopped there because Country Diner down the street was packed and had a 30 minute wait so we made our way down the street and we were going to stop at Waffle House but decided to try this place this is definitely the first and last time! Even a free meal would not take me back there What got me the most is when we went to pay they have a tip jar for the cooks omg, don t get me started on that when the cashier asked us how everything was I was just like I m not a food critic but geez this place definitely got my attention and this is because I just moved here from the RGV I hate to be negative but it is what it is and it ain t what it ain t.

Very sweet employees, but the pricing was outrageous. I got 2 slices of French toast, 6 pieces of bacon, 3 scrambled eggs and 1 lemonade .. $25 ? Ordered food for pickup on Uber eats, said food will be ready in 10-20 minutes, arrived in 20 minutes and they told me it would be 20 more minutes. Told them to cancel order and I wasnt able to get a refund. Scrambles kept my hard earned money without any service, will not recommend them to anyone.

I tried this place for breakfast after not going for over a year. The new owners have really made a big change to the freshness and quality of the food. Today my husband and I ordered the French toast made with homemade raisin bread. It was so good, before when we ordered this the bread was very dry like it wasnt soaked in the egg mixture before cooking todays was perfect. Came only for breakfast. Simple dish over easy eggs, biscuits, and gravy. Last is a glass of tea. It took more than twenty minutes before getting my meal, and there were only 4 couples in there, and 1 of those couples was already eating My eggs were overcooked the gravy tasted like flour and very let meat the biscuits where OK my tea was 90% sugar and my waitress/cashier didnt know math. For payment and tip, refuse to try it again

The food is good, but the older lady waitress sucks. We have been there about 10 times and had her 3 times, and next time we get her, I am asking for someone else. Tired of having to find her to get things that should be taken care of by her. The young lady .that is also there is on point. Update: I went back to this place to get some breakfast. Waited for 30 minutes for food, and it never came. This was by far the worst its ever been. There were only 5 other tables that had people. Do yourself a favor and go to the Waffle House next door and get your food. After 30 minutes the cook still hadnt started cooking our food.

We were going to go to Waffle House for breakfast this morning. We walked up and saw they were jam packed and did not want to wait. We saw across the parking lot was Scrambles. We decided to go ahead and try it even though there werent any cars in the lot. I cant believe everyone is over at waffle house!?! This place is incredible! The french toast was AMAZING. Our server, Catherine, was great! She made sure our drinks were always filled and was so sweet. Come to Scrambles instead of waffle house!

I had the waffle scrambler, what it consists of was, waffles two eggs bacon and hash browns and it was delicious so if youre in the area of oats at 6:35, Id advise you to go to scramblers, they have breakfast, lunch and dinner, excellent food. And a special shout out to, Vicky she took real good care of us, thank you Vicky. Parking: They have plenty of parking when I was there, but I have seen them filled up.

Ordered through doordash. Doordash did everything right got my food in 25 minutes. The food was terrible. Ordered an omlette, it nor the hashbrowns had any flavor. The French toast had raisins but even with taking out raisins it was bad tasted nothing like French toast. Grits were the best thing I ordered. I was disappointed that I received one of the orders that were placed (California Breakfast) when the Florentine Benedict was also expected. Hoping it was worth it, the breakfast was fresh but rather a letdown. There s more onion than potatoes and the potatoes themself was over cooked. I wished i substituted the sausage for bacon so the meal was better but nevertheless I know to never get that again.

This was the worst experience ever. The food had no flavor. Hamburgers was flat and burnt no flavor. Hair embedded in the Hamburger meat. Fries are so thin and little its like eating potato sticks with lemon pepper seasoning yuck to end up leaving food on the plate and paying $73 was a waste of money and I will be informing the owner of the food condition and as well the city of health department cause hair in the food is not healthy. As the sign says, help needed. Breakfast for out table came in shifts and some of the dishes were not warm. Two workers sat at the counter on phones, when the floor was littered with straw wrappers and napkins. The bathroom looked like it hadnt been cleaned in days by seeing the number of empty toilet paper rolls on the floor.

Bacon is great. Pancakes are good. Syrup is watery not good. Eggs good. French toast was ok. Would have been better with a better Syrup. Otherwise nice folks. Just need to tweak a few things.

Waffle House next door was a 30 minute wait and decided to just go next door and try Scrambles out. Glad I did! Food was delicious, employees were friendly. Great prices all around and those pancakes are big! Well worth the price! Will definitely be back!

We had the most horrible experience at this place today. We went at about noon. There were only about 6 tables with people at them. It took 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge that we were seated. The waitress took our order. We got part of our drink order. Never got the coffee we asked for. When we received pArt of our order, it was over cooked and cold. We asked for our toast and the waitress said she would bring it. 10 mins later I went up to the register to tell them to bring it, the waitress said I told you I would bring it, just wait a second. Someone brought the toast which was cold and hard as a rock. The waitress..who was also supposedly the owner came to our table and got smart mouthed with us. I told her to get out of the way we were leaving. Left our cold meal on the table, went to the register to pay and the guy told us we didn t have to pay. You do not talk to customers like that. I have worked customer service and I would have lost my jobs if I talked that way. This is the third time that we have had poor service and poor food there. Will NEVER go back.

Sorry to say very bad service ! When we finally got seated we waited and waited and waited and it was not crowded or busy No one ever came to our table after 20 mins we decided to go some where else . I let the person at the register know why we was leaving all he said was ok sorry. Yea their sorry alright. Never again

Worst experience ever, they charge you in advance the tip, they charge you a fee for credit card payment, the cashier is a young rude guy, the orange juice is very low quality, really bad experience. Never ever come back again.

We were a group of 7 and 2 others and I had bad meals. I had 3 Tacos and they were the worst I ever had. The chef if you can call him a chef put the meat in the tacos and some cheese on top of each one. No sauce on them very dry . They were placed on a metal z like tin and the tacos on it. Then he put the Pico de Gallo on the plate, not enough to put on each taco. A scoop of sour cream was on the plate. These were the worst tacos I ever had. Did not enjoy them. 2 others were unhappy with their meals. One had California Breakfast and she ate two forkfuls and did not eat anymore it was so bad. Left an entire meal on the plate. Another said he had chicken fried steak and he also did not like it. The other 4 I did not ask but saw one who had pancakes and did not finish them. All in all, we will not come back to Scrambles.

This was a hidden gem. It felt like having a home cooked meal. The breakfast food was delicious and the homemade salsa was great. The staff is friendly and was not bothering you during your meal. If you get the chance stop by and grab some breakfast.

Good service, food is okay. The raisin bread was the highlight of the meal. If you come definitely give it a try. The fried chicken with the chicken and waffles was good but the waffle was not. Some of the meals are very small portions and others are huge, not really consistent.

All the items were steamy hot and delicious and reminds you of an old school diner with a friendly staff....if you looking for a good breakfast/brunch spot this is the one! Just went to the restaurant the open signs flashing. A young woman ran up inside the restaurant locked the door and giggled. I called to inquire and they said the restaurant closes at 4. As it was not 4 I inquired again and was informed the owner said to shut down the kitchen at 3:30 which is the time we pulled into their lot. Sad sad to see the enjoyment in the young girls face to lock us out. When we returned to our car she came back and visibly unlocked the door. Will never spend me money there again.

Ordered the California breakfast and a side of grits to be delivered. The California breakfast was inedible. The crispy hash browns were not cooked or crispy and full of grease. The grits contained no butter nor was any included with the order. Very disappointing.

Today I ordered through Uber Eats and they messed the ordered completely up. We ordered 1 pancake breakfast, 2 chicken and waffles, 2 extra patties, salsa and the California breakfast. What was delivered was 2 pancake breakfast and the California breakfast. I called at 8:11am and a young Hispanic female answered (she claimed her name was Maria) I told her what happened and she started speaking Spanish to someone else and then said Well we can remake it and you can come pick it up. I said maam if I was able to pick it up I would have originally came. She said well we cant do anything about it and you need to call Uber. I said it was a mistake on yall part. I asked could I come get it another day and she said no. I asked to speak with a manager and she said she was the manager. I asked her name and she gave 2 other names besides the first one (Cita and Chasity) She said look I said what I said and Im done talking then she hung up. This is unacceptable and unprofessional. No customer service and a very rude employee. I see where another Reviewer said they told them to come get their order that was incorrect. The reply back on that Reviewer was next time we will give you excellent service. Smh. Unbelievable. I guess this is something they do mess up your order and do not care

The food is great. But today I ordered delivery. Abd for the 4th time they did not follow order notes and or left something completely out of the order. And instead of sending another delivery they just tell me I can come get them! That defeats the purpose of delivery?
