Birthday dinner. Husband picked, he wanted their Bacon wrapped shrimp & beef fajita dinner. It was excellent, made him happy. Queso fundito with added chicken was flavorful as well. We all enjoyed the food. Had draft beer with our meal, reasonable price. Service was a bit slow at the one in McKinney but food made up for that.

Wow! Jalapenos Mexican Grill blew us away with their incredible service and delicious food! Our waiter was super friendly and made us feel so welcome the entire time. The food came out super fast , and everything we had was absolutely amazing! We wrapped up the meal with fried ice cream , and it was only $3.99! My wife and I split it, and it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. If youre looking for affordable, tasty Mexican food in McKinney, look no further than Jalapenos! Highly recommend!

I love this place. This has been one of my favorite places since I can remember. Love all the food. The cheese sauce is awesome. I get the (12 A ) almost every time I go. 2 cheese enchiladas with chili sauce,spanish rice, and refried beans and a beef taco. $9.99. Good food at a good price.

My family (there are a lot of us) has been coming here my entire life. The food is delicious and comes out quickly, the staff are great, and no one can beat their prices. I live in Irving now and am still more than happy to make the drive if someone suggests Jalapenos for a get together. Parking: The lot is shared by several businesses and can get fairly full, but Ive never had to go park somewhere else or on the side streets. Kid-friendliness: The staff has always been really cool about kids, even if they get fussy, happy to bring side plates for littles to share your food, and generally very accommodating however they can be. No baby changing station in the family bathroom though. Wheelchair accessibility: The front door can get a bit crowded since you pay at the front, but there is a ramp up to it and a big accessible bathroom.

I highly recommend this little hole in the wall Mexican restaurant if youre in Mckinney. Ive been going here for years, but we stopped by for my 40th birthday. I ordered the jalapenos for an appetizer, and they came with a side of guacamole for dipping sauce. I had the spinach enchiladas with refried beans, rice, and chips and salsa. Inside the restaurant is old, but its cozy and inviting. The staff is nice, and they got our order out quickly.

I was in town on business and decided to give this place a try. It s definitely what we call a dive. But sometimes some of the best food ever is hidden away. It s a small restaurant in a strip mall, with plenty of parking. The inside is quite outdated. I was seated immediately in a booth that had a very old, musty smell. The salsa tasted fresh out of a jar and the chips straight out of a bag. I ordered the chicken fajitas, which is really hard to mess up. They came out sizzling, which was good. The chicken was bland and had no seasoning. There were lots of onions but no bell peppers. The rice and beans were just ok. I would not return here and I don t recommend this place to anyone.

Food is like authentic Mexican vs Tex-Mex so it is bland/very mild with the exception of the salsa which I thought was medium, but my husband said it is tomato sauce - I liked it. I want to rate this place higher - its a great small, local business that has been around forever, BUT we all got sick . We all had chicken enchiladas, (my son had tamales & a beef taco with his) and chips & salsa which comes with a cup of queso... We will try again but probably only for lunch. Very good house margaritas btw!

The cheese is watery and tasted like plastic. I have had canned chicken from dollar general with more flavor. The only people who genuinely have to believe this food tastes good are either beyond 70 years old or lost their taste from covid. Positives... It is really cheap.

We went during a slow time around 2PM Not many people there. Gave the waitress my CC she came back rudely and said that it was asking for a pin number and I had to pay upfront. Told her there is not a pin number it is a CC. Went up front to pay and the guy says oh this is the one wanting a pin number I said no it is a credit card no pin number. I am Mexican and this was awful. Super Bland food. Everything is microwaved and no seasoning on fajitas. Green Enchiladas had watery chicken, dry rice, canned or powdered beans. Don t waste your time or money. Went about 6:00 and the place was almost empty. Before it would have been busy. I see why they ve lost their customer base. Both of us had lousy orders. Wow. Just wow. I didn t think places like this existed. Prices were absolutely fantastic.. I felt like we were going back in time with how affordable this place is! Chips, salsa AND queso are complimentary. We HAD to try the All You Can Eat menu. $8.99 per person for as many rounds as you want, first order comes with rice & beans, then it is optional after that. The tacos were sooo good. Tamales awesome. Sangria swirl & top shelf margarita was a steal & super tasty. We will DEFINITELY be back. Our waiter Pablo was exceptional- very efficient and courteous. My family and I have been going here for years. Its the number 1 place that the kids want to go to and for only a few dollars a kids meal, its amazing. Most all of the staff have been working here for a long time and know us by name. The food is great and the price is low. You can get all you eat for less than $10. Just order a plate off the all you can eat side of the menu, and next round you can get anything on that side of the menu, not just what you ordered. The beef tacos are the best. Try it!

I got the Chipotle Steak. My wife got the Steak and Shrimp Fajitas. Its very good for the price. I recommend asking for the 911 salsa (which is just ground up Habanero). We mix a LITTLE of it in the cheese sauce and the regular salsa which are too mild for us. The 911 salsa is EXTREMELY hot. So be careful when mixing it in. A little goes a VERY long way!

Been driving by this place for years. Finally decided to try it. The Carne Asada seemed like it was once frozen. Shape is unnatural, square. The biggest red flag was they didnt ask me how I wanted it done(medium, rare, medium rare etc) Theres no indication when you cut into it, if it ever was at one point, a slice of meat. Gave off cat food vibes. I bet if I shredded it and placed it next to wet cat food you wouldnt tell the difference. Thawed out, mass produced piece of meat, placed on a grill for a sear and slapped on a plate. The taste was just as bad. No seasoning. Honestly the cheese on top did not have any taste either, 1 molecule away from being plastic. The cheese and salsa that came with the chips 100% came from a can. I might give this place another try in a few years. 2/5 stars. The food is edible. Ive had worse. And the price was *fair* for what I got. Just dont expect real food here.

Older Mexican restaurant in a strip mall. Parking is adequate but might be an issue at busy times. This Jalapenos has two other restaurant locations. It is not part of the national chain of restaurants with the same name. The large margaritas are huge (27oz) and were very good. The chips, salsa and queso we great. We really enjoyed our entrees. Staff was attentive and polite. Prices are surprisingly inexpensive. Highly recommend.

Service was great, but wasnt blown away by the food. They should do away with the complimentary cheese sauce. It doesnt set a good impression for first timers.
