Everytime we have come, the food has been incredible. Hands down the best Indian food Ive ever had. Authentic and vibrant flavors, and its one of those places where there is no wrong answer on what you order from the menu. I would love to come for the lunch buffet, so far have only been during dinner-time! Incredible, and a go-to staple for us.

We have eaten here 4 times and each time the food is absolutely phenomenal. It is the best korma I have ever had in my life. The garlic naan and the pria fried bread, mint chutney, and Tandori chicken are all delicious. My kids who are 9 and 10 love this place as well because of the authentic atmosphere and the delicious food.

We have been here a couple of times and this is some of the best Indian food I have ever had. I love the atmosphere, it is very authentic, and the restaurant was clean. We brought our kids and got them a mango lassi which was so delicious. We started out with the tandoori appetizer, which was a perfect taste of Indian barbecue. We got the Korma and it was amazing! Restaurant was clean and very comfortable. We will be back. Kid-friendliness: There was plenty of space for my three children to dine with us. The restaurant is not too crowded.

My family and I had dinner there last night. I had no idea, until after I ordered, that the prices have gone up so much. $16.95 per person for chicken korma. The quality of the food has also gone down. I used to LUV the chicken korma at T/I. No more. As we were waiting for our food, a large number of people came in and went into the kitchen, I assume they know the owner. They were very loud and one of them turned up the music...only to talk over it. My kids and I used to go there all the time, when they had a buffet. We went to 51 Rainbows last week and my youngest wanted to go to T/I for old times sake. The chicken korma at 51 was only $12.99. I will never go back there again. Too pricy and not a good experience. It was so disappointing.

The restaurant shows that it is open in Uber eats, after placing the order and getting the confirmation and then waiting for 2 hours, they said that the order cannot be sent as the restaurant is closed and they are not even going to do the refund which is unfair. Firstly it s their mistake that they didn t update their delivery and order timings in Uber eats, secondly they didn t pick the calls from a very long time and then once they picked the call they were rude and saying that they can t even make the refund. It s not less amount which we have spent for the order. I hope you understand and make the refund as soon as possible. This is not the way you run the business and treat your customers.

OMG! I love Indian food! It s really hard to find a good one! My favorite was a Dallas restaurant recognized as a consistent 5 star and I have frequented for probably 20 years, but it has faultered in its freshness over the last 5 or so years and I don t visit often anymore. I have moved to far North Texas but drive to McKinney for shopping and good eating out (an area my lovely town lacks!). I happened to notice Taste of India from the freeway in a passing glance and my tummy drew me in. Well .it was the absolute best food I ve had in a long time. Freshly made per order! No sauces sitting in a pot, no warmed up chicken, no squishy vegetables, just outstandingly DELICIOUS! I asked the Chef if he had heard of my previous favorite as I was to compliment him on that level of food that I experienced in the earliest time period that I had experienced it being the best, and GUESS WHAT? Abdul was the Chef at that restaurant when I recalled it being at top of its game! HA! Sooo .I have found my new go to for my favorite genre of Indian Food and will enjoy going back time and time again!! People GO!!! You will not be disappointed and will find a new favorite like me!!! I m hungry for it right now!

We dined in this place a few days ago. The owner was decent. But the hygiene was terrible. I found a small COCKROACH in the plate while the food was served, I told the server immediately and he just removed it from the plate using his hand. I didnt make a big deal out of it because the insect was not in the food. I should have - maybe next time. The place looked dingy too. The table clothes had dried food on them. We ordered some parathas and it didnt come with any curd or achar(pickle) which is typically served in our Indian restaurants with parathas. When we asked the owner they said that he had done extensive research and no restaurant in this place serves any like that with parathas and that we need to order any side dish separately. (We were not expecting any curry. Just some curd or pickle which is typically served. In my opinion, it was like serving tortilla chips without a dip in a restaurant). Today we dined in Honest and they served curd and pickle with their parathas - their parathas had more stuffing and tastes MUCH better than Taste of India restaurant. So the owner really didnt do their research. Disappointed with the quality, hygiene and substandard service. I am glad (and surprised) that a lot people who have written the reviews find this place nice. But i find this place shady.

This place is GROSS!!! The owners children sit in the dining room watching their iPads, playing, doing their homework, eating food cooked in the back. The older children who help serve the customers I saw eat their meal, lick their fingers and grab plates and set the table for another customer. The tables are dirty, the place has Cobb webs, dingy, dark, outdated. Their is barely ever anyone in the restaurant eating and it s a given why. I did however give this place 3 stars because the food is really good. We have ordered the chicken tiki masala, naan bread and the meat samosas all great! The family is extremely nice. We have given this place a shot several times to go just because the food is so good. This was 100% the last time for us as it took forever to get our food at the pick up desk and then there was a black hair in the bottom of the rice after we had already eaten 3/4 of the rice. I will find another spot for our future outings for Indian food.

Im very picky about Indian food and this is among the best Ive found in DFW. At one point I was eating here 2-3 times a week. The food is really really good. Its family owned and they are warm and friendly 5 star delicious Indian food.. highly recommended. The family environment is awesome and I feel so welcomed when I come here that its almost like visiting a family members home. The interior could use a bit more light and some design updates but theyve kept prices reasonable despite Bidenflation, and its clean, well maintained and its nice that they use cloth napkins instead of paper. You can eat there but if youre wanting a fancier setting take the food to go. You have the customary Bollywood music videos playing. Favourite dishes - Chicken Tikka Masala, Saag Panner, Garlic and Khabuli naan Please bring back the Buffet! They had to shut it down for Covid and it has not come back yet. Dont even think about it though just get food heree. Also highly recommended for catering businesses, etc

Not a great experience, but has potential. I went here for lunch. Im not sure why all of the lights were off and everyone was sitting in the dark. The door adverstises a lunch buffet. That does not exist. I ordered paneer as an appitizer. There was more onions than paneer, but sauce was good. Also, there was a random piece of chicken in there, which was concerning. I also has the butter chicken. It was missing any level of spice. The diet coke tasted off as well. The food took a very long time to come out. Not very lunch friendly. When I recieved the bill, I was a bit shocked that lunch was almost thirty dollars. It turns out they gave me the wrong menu where the prices had not been updated. I am disappointed since this was so close to work, but I wont be back.

I will not even order Indian food from another restaurant because I just know I will be disappointed. This is the best food and the portion sizes are enough to share one meal with another person and have leftovers! This is so good that I cannot get enough. When I ve eaten until I m full, I put it in the fridge and am constantly thinking about eating it again until the leftovers are gone and I contemplate ordering more. Very friendly people that run this place and service is overall, always great! To be frank, I always order the chicken tikka masala, but have tried other dishes as well. The dish is just so addicting I can t order anything else! I am so disappointed every time I go inside the restaurant and see many empty tables because I know that the people of Mckinney are really missing out by not eating here.

This is a good Indian restaurant to go to. We havent eaten in but the to go orders have always been pretty good. Note that they are still working on their website and its probably not up to date. We ordered the paneer and the chicken tikka with a side of naan last time and werent disappointed. The restaurant has always been clean and the staff friendly. They are a little more expensive than I would expect but not much. Parking has never been a problem here since its in a shopping strip. They also have a buffet for lunch and dinner, at least thats what their site says but again we havent eaten in. But the price for the buffet looks good. When ordering to go though there is always leftovers so theres that. So if youre up in McKinney I suggest checking this one out if youre in the mood for some tasty Indian food.
