Worst restaurant experience in many years. Beyond bad. Do not recommend. Zero stars if possible. Extremely slow service, food came out at different times (kids meal came out last), some of the food never even came out. It can t take that long to make quesadillas. Cocktails were mediocre at best, took more than 20 min between ordering and serving. And the restaurant was not even 50% full between the indoor and outdoor space. No apology from waitress, just blamed the kitchen on making a mistake. Waitress was difficult to flag down. All in all an embarrassing establishment. Will never come back and will warn everyone to stay away. Come at your own peril!

I always have a great time here. We always sit at the bar when we go. I ordered the chicken and waffle which was delicious. Our bartender took great care of us. Make sure you order the biggie tower when you go. Hip Hop brunch is definitely a good time.

I come to common quite often. But am always super excited when I see Kaycee behind the bar. She brings such a positive light to the bar, and always helps me pick the perfect drink for what I m in the mood for. Today she recommended me the smoke & mirrors (I m a whiskey drinker and I told her that) this drink was absolutely delicious. Will continue to come back for the delicious drinks, queso & Kaycee!

1st dining experience at TCT. Overall, a good experience. The food came out fresh & relatively quickly. Our server Kaycee was very kind & attentive. The music was a lil loud, but not too overbearing. It is a smaller establishment, so it was a bit cramped during the height of the Hip Hop Brunch -a concept we liked, along with the decor & atmosphere. Seems to be another popular & decent spot to dine and hang out with family & friends right here in our back yards. We ll be back soon!

This place had so much potential to do well. We waited 30 min to order food. 30 min later after ordering, we got our food. Waited kept walking around and not being aware of his table. The DJ that was there yesterday was so meh! You cant call it HIP HOP brunch when you dont want to play upbeat hip hop music. DJ mentioned he doesnt want to play hip hop music because kids are there. Haha. So, if you want to have a good freaking time with your family and friends, staw away from this location. You will fall asleep from music he will play.

I had a fantastic brunch experience at Common Table in McKinney this past Saturday. I sat at the bar, where Kaycee was my bartender. She was friendly, personable, and made the whole experience enjoyable. I ordered a Patron on the rocks margarita, and it was delicious perfectly balanced and refreshing. For food, I tried the smothered biscuit sandwich, and it was absolutely scrumptious. The biscuit was flaky and soft, and the toppings were flavorful and well-seasoned. It was one of the best brunch dishes Ive had in a while. Overall, the atmosphere, the great service from Kaycee, and the tasty food made for a memorable visit. I highly recommend Common Table for a delightful brunch!

Went to this place for the first time at happy hour food discount day. Food was so-so but still pretty expensive. The waiter upped his tip on my card by 40% so if you go there, check your bill from your cc company. Manager refunded me but no offer of any other concessions. I did not argue as I would not be going back anyway if they gave me a free meal. There was an annoying and loud trivia MC there that night and we just had to leave. Could not carry on a conversation at the table.

My wife and I stopped in during the hip hop brunch for a drink on a Sunday. The service was fine but while closing the tab, the server pre entered a 20% tip while handing me the digital card reader. Typically this would be OK with me except he did not disclose that an 18% tip was already added to the tab. It was my wife and I and we ordered two drinks each with no food. Both drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive and the establishment required an 18% service fee but the server did not mention this at all and tried to get some additional cash on top of the built in charge. This was 3 pm on a Sunday with roughly 10 people in the whole place. Beer was fine, but probably could get the same miller lite next door or down the street.

Didn t love it. The chicken in the eggrolls had the texture of canned chicken, very unappetizing. Brussel sprouts were swimming in grease. Sandwich was also ok. None of the food was hot aside from the eggrolls. They were out of wings and sell a Dr. Pepper substitute which they don t tell you until you try it and don t like it. Service was good but food was def not.

As a first time visitor here if I could give 0 stars I honestly would. For an empty Sunday evening, waiting over 20 mins for someone to finally approach our table is a bit ridiculous. Watched waiters consistently walking back and forth without ever acknowledging our table.Not to mention, the young lady who seated us, never took it upon herself to notify a server that she had seated us ( found this out 20 mins after no one approached us and we inquired about if someone was going to assist our table.) Funny thing about it is, a group of men who entered the restaurant after we had already been seated was approached promptly and their orders were being taken.. I watched as every group ( 4 different groups of people including ourselves) was approached and served..After starting to feel extremely uncomfortable..I mentioned to my group it was time for us to leave without ordering anything from there.Regardless of whatever the reasoning was for poor customer service. I would never return here again. Decided to find some where else in the area to eat Seems they are only concerned with serving those who look like them.

I usually attend the Frisco location which is a whole vibe. Decided to try this location after leaving the movies. Cody was our waiter and he was absolutely HORRIBLE! He acted as though he didnt even want to serve us. Other waiters had to assist, requests were ignored, he constantly was talking to other employees and patrons and we even noticed one young lady employee tell him to check on us. My mom and I are very generous tippers and I advised her to leave him NOTHING! It was indicative of his service and lack of concern for us. Wont be visiting this location again.

The place has potential. But it needs some help. We ordered cocktails, and they werent exactly right. We ordered a Prickly Ricardo, and all you tasted was the mezcal. There was supposed to be prickly pear and a salt rim, and it was lacking. We also ordered a white Russian, and it tasted like just vodka and milk with a splash of kahluah. There were flies and knats all around us. The waitress was awesome and on top of it. The food was good, but I dont think this is a place wed come back to even if we lived in town.

This was the 2nd time visiting the mckinney location. So the atmosphere was a shock. Loud DJ music! The DJ was playing music I dont allow my kids to listen to! and the waitress was twerking!! I am all for a good time but this just downgraded the place in my opinion. I have been to the Frisco location many times and I would say it is a more family friendly atmosphere which is what i was looking for to bring my family for a holiday brunch. These people tried to steal $240 from me. Everything was going well until I looked at my bank statement and I realized that the waitress first charged someone else s ticket to my card. Then she reversed it but turned around and charged my card twice for my ticket. When I showed her, she acted like she could do nothing about it so I asked to speak to her manager. He came and tried to figure out what happened but wasn t much help so he told me to call the General Manager the next morning and ask if she could figure it out. I called her but no response from her. So I had to call my bank and ask them for assistance. I will never come back here again. I was really enjoying the restaurant until this happened. And they force you to tip the waitress.

The bartenders Ryan and Spencer, and the server Kat always give top tier service. I live across the street and am a frequent patron but these three consistently give genuinely the best service. They are so kind, so caring and so attentive. I look forward to the days when these three in particular are working. Truly no bar in the area gives service like these three in particular do. I will always start and finish my night at The Common Table on a Saturday in particular because of these three. I absolutely love this restaurant/bar! We always have wonderful service, the manager, Sheldon is so friendly and always checks in on us while we re there! Their braised short rib and blacked redfish scampi are some of their best dishes, I highly recommend them! Those chefs certainly whip up some of the best risotto I ve ever had, but make sure to take some home and save room for their new crème brûlée cheesecake, it s to die for! Service is amazing, I love how you can tell their employees really work as a team, everyone s so attentive, and I m so glad to hear they finally got guest Wi-Fi! Patio weather is upon us, so catch me outside with my dog! Vegetarian options: Their wild mushroom risotto comes vegetarian and is one of the best dishes on the menu!! Dietary restrictions: They have a LOT of gluten-free options! They re not listed on the menu, so you have to be sure to ask your server, but the servers are well-educated on what is and isn t gluten-free and communication is always impeccable to make sure people with gluten allergies are taken proper care of! This was my first and only time I will ever visit this restaurant. Service was terrible-anything we asked for took 10 or more minutes to get. Ordered a tower and it was flat and no flavor, told the server and she said, oh yeah that s the cheap champagne you will need to upgrade it. Asked 3 times for cranberry and orange juice. Final straw 2 guys comes over and tell us we ve exceeded our 2 hour limit and we need to leave-all while we had been waiting on our check over 20 minutes. I have zero issue with a 2 hour limit, however, our server never mentioned anything about it the entire time we were there. (Mind you we were still drinking and had planned to order more) Our server finally comes over and said did they tell you that it s past 2 hours? Not impressed with this place at all!! Very chilly today and they had the doors open-made it very cold inside. Only good thing was the music (it was a little loud-it was hard to hear across the table) but loved the variety of music.

First time there for dinner and was Trivia Night. Fun atmosphere but we wanted something more traditional, but no big deal. Wine was good, Marguerite was ok, appetizer was good, Spinach/Artichoke dip. Hubby had mushroom risotto, it was very good. I had salmon with char grilled Brussel sprouts in a spicy sauce. Very disappointing... so much sauce it over powered the dish. All u could taste was the very spicy sauce. Fish had no taste, Brussel sprouts looked really good but were drenched in sauce so couldnt taste them and they were soggy. Horrible. Since my dinner was not up to par, I ordered dessert...took forever to come. It was a pumpkin bread pudding with brown butter whiskey sauce over vanilla ice cream. So it arrives and then the server says they were all out of the sauce but its still good. Really...instead of telling me that before she brought it, I probably would not have ordered she brings it anyway. I would have asked ahead of time, or not charged me because it was not presented accurately. We will go back to try lunch...but not impressed....too many other great restaurants out there...sorry.

Talk about a restaurant experience that makes you never want to come back! The food was generally average with my red fish being extremely overcooked. Ambience is definitely a cheap sports bar vibe trying to be fancy. The furniture is very low end and the workers are not the most professional. They absolutely failed in remembering my birthday too. My wife even called them in advance to ask if they do anything special for birthdays. They offered a special dessert, singing, and sparklers. Not only did that never happen but the waiter didn t even offer us dessert! The guy that spoke to my wife on the phone assured her that everything would be taken care of but nothing was done at all! The manager denied all claims, was extremely unprofessional, refused to take blame, and made up a lie that my wife was supposed to get back to them. To make matters even worse, my wife requested a booth and that was not offered to me either! If you want a nice dinner spot in McKinney, definitely don t give them your business!

Arrived on time for our reservation Saturday night, our 4 top was sat within a few minutes. We then waited for just water for 20+ minutes after the server zoomed by our table 3 different times. While waiting for water a table was being set right next to us for a large party who had not arrived yet and we watched all the water glasses at this empty table get filled (the table stayed empty for our entire visit). We finally were able to get drinks and apps ordered. Queso was lukewarm, wagyu meatballs were good. Once we received our meals my husband s chicken was literally raw. We alerted our server who looked at it, made a face, then left and came back with the message that the manager gave her permission to delete from our check and a $10 gift certificate. Her demeanor completely changed when interacting with other tables (very friendly/seemingly engaged) and it was clear she wasn t interested in trying to turn around our experience. We ordered another round of drinks, one of which we never got and didn t see our server for another 20+ minutes. We asked for a manager when she came back and she told us she d been waiting at the bar for the missing drink (we had a clear view of the bar and did not see her once). She asked if everything was ok to which we told her no. Waited 10 more minutes for the manager and a person in our party walked up to him at the host stand to ask if he planned to come talk to us. He gestured him away and said he d be by soon. He came by, we let him know what had happened and how the whole evening (a birthday dinner no less) was a disappointment. There was no apology, in fact he said nothing and walked to the check stand with the server. When he passed our table all that was said was she ll get your check . Awful experience, and too many great restaurants in the area to waste your time here. We walked to Bobs Chophouse for drinks/dessert, had stellar service, and wished we d gone there for dinner instead. We ve been wanting to visit for brunch and sadly will be steering clear of this location.

Went to check out this place with a friend. The restaurant has a great vibe, but the good was horrible! I ordered the rigatoni alla vodka. There were maybe 10 pieces of rigatoni and a lot of mud like sauce that was too thick. The Greek salad had mostly olives a bit of lettuce and a tinny peice of haloumi cheese that was flat and rubbery. My friend had the braised short ribs. It only looked good, taste was lacking and the mashed potatoes were sitting in liquid of vegetable wine. Will not return!!

After waiting about 10 minutes before anyone came to even say hello and fill our water, the waitress came and made some awkward comments about her drinking whiskey in her coffee this morning and so now we have to join (honestly didnt really understand what she was trying to say at all) we ordered. Drinks: I ordered the Smoke & Mirrors and my wife ordered the Guadalajara Sour. Both flavorful and strong - really what pulled this from a 2-Star rating for me. Food: I ordered the 42-hr short rib with root vegetables. This was a Pot Roast with carrots, celery and mashed potatoes. I was pretty disappointed, feeling a bit deceived, and our waitress, after being absent again for far too long, came back. I asked about the item and she said they were just trying to figure out their menu and the vegetables on this dish have changed and that a Short rib started on the bone but after 48 hrs looks like this. I simply disagree and this should be marketed as a POT ROAST in which case I would have never ordered it. Atmosphere: We sat under the (almost) 80s-90s wall-to-ceiling Pop culture section - the seats were comfortable but very low to the ground and the tables were a bit too wide, making conversation hard to hear.

I have been to common table when it was in Dallas and i got the one in Frisco , so i was excited to see one built across the street from me . I have gone there several times since it has opened. Today I order lunch to go on the app , and when I got there I was nicely greeted by the host and told her I had an online order . However she said they weren t able to make more order since they had a good event that only served brunch . She quickly offered me a refund and I looked on the brunch menu to order something else . Third time here, two out of three times were absolutely awful. Hopefully you go here when Payton is working, cause the other bartenders here couldn t care less. First time I came, I was ignored for over 20 minutes, even when they were serving the customers right next to me. Not a single word. We come here for the Hip Hop Brunch every Saturday with Buster and sit on the patio. We love it! The music is bumpin and if you re into the early 2000s music, you will love it we order the mimosa tower for just us 2 and have a great time. The staff is so sweet to Buster and recognize him every weekend, which makes my heart sooo happy! This is the perfect brunch for anyone who wants to have a good time and enjoy some drinks!
