The service at the restaurant was excellent, and the food was delicious, aromatic, and authentically prepared. However, the atmosphere could use some improvement. The lighting is too bright, which creates a harsh, industrial feel. While the chairs are very comfortable, and the sofa-style seating concept is a nice touch, it doesn t quite fit with the overly bright and stark ambiance. A softer, more inviting lighting setup would greatly enhance the overall dining experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Noodles and Dumplings in Pharr, Texas, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish! First and foremost, the food is absolutely outstanding. Each dish is bursting with flavor, showcasing a delightful blend of fresh ingredients and authentic recipes. The noodles are perfectly cooked, and the dumplings are simply divine each bite is a little piece of heaven. Whether youre a fan of spicy or savory, theres something on the menu for everyone. What truly sets Noodles and Dumplings apart, however, is the generous portion sizes. You definitely get your moneys worth here! I left feeling satisfied and happy, with a little extra to take home for later. On top of the fantastic food, the staff at Noodles and Dumplings are amazing. They are friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to care about making your dining experience enjoyable. They are knowledgeable about the menu and happy to offer recommendations, which made our visit even more special. Overall, if you re in Pharr and craving delicious noodles and dumplings, this place is a must-visit and Please ask for Victoria, she and her crew will take good care of you and let her Know Thomas sent you. I cant wait to return and try more of their menu!

I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. Not at all what I expected. The chairs are super comfy and the food was good. We got to experience watching them make fresh noodles when we walked in. The food was good, the iced tea not so much. Tasted like instant tea. I had the fried noodles with shrimp, the serving size was generous. Our party had the beef and onion steamed dumplings, the orange chicken and a soup. It was all very good, especially the noodles.

Prok Belly needs more ginger and cut half an inch not a whole inch..reason for the ginger is because u can still taste the barnyard on the pork. Bun bao was half frozen, takoyaki has more batter than octopus, ramen bowls were luke warm which is not good.. the only food thing is noodles are fresh. Gave this place a second chance today 9.20.24 food was bad theres drama behind the kitchen wait staff was good though.

Food review! I got the classic Tonkotsu w pork belly and my hun got the fried vegetable noodles and a basket of Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) 3 chicken/3 pork. They were super flavorful. My favorite was the pork baos because of the rich iron taste. The Tonkatsu broth was creamy and , despite having oil from the pork belly, it did not leave an oil film in the mouth. I did not like how difficult it was to eat the ramen. The noodles were very knotted. I could not pick up individual noodles. The tension from the noodles was so intense that I feared I would launch a chopstick across the restaurant. My only choice was to grab a chopstick full of noodles and bite into, using my teeth to cut decent portions of noodles. I would probably bring my own noodle scissors next time I come. The fried vegetable noodles first came to our table with missing ingredients (mushrooms and zucchini) but the manager had the chef remake it along with a 10% discount. Final bill came out to $49 (not including our choice of a +22% percent tip)

Food was hot but not burning, with large porions, entree could feed 2. For appetizer we got the boa pork and it was soft and flavorful with a great portion of stuffing on each size was also very large. Entrees were tonkatsu pork and the pork was crisp and thick with soft fat and well cooked meat, broth was creamy and thick with well textured noodles all in all an amazing experience

Horrible server experience. We caught our server and another waiter staring at us then chuckling. At first we didn t think anything of it, but it kept happening. We then saw our waitress, I think her name was Victoria, pick up one of our used spoons and hold it up to another waiters face (this guy with long hair and a handlebar mustache) and they start laughing. The guy with the mustache had been staring at us directly and making comments to the other dark haired waitress for a good 20-25mins and it was very blatant. This is super unprofessional and disgusting behavior. Not to mention the food is very subpar. If the restaurant keeps waiters like this I m sure they will lose customers left and right. Don t come here. Hoptung on 10th street is infinitely better without judgy pathetic waiters.

On my one visit I felt the food tasted, simply alright. A 6 out of 10. On the positive side, the food portion was generous. Make sure you like what you order because thats all you get. No rice included, no side dish of any sort. Just one plate full of your one entrée. The chosen protein of my entrée was chicken. Unfortunately it didnt have much. The chicken throughout the dish, didnt look like a whole lot. What was really bad on that one visit, wasnt that there was a huge dead bug of some sort next to one of the chairs at my table, it was that multiple employees saw it and none picked it up. It was next to the chair I chose, in one of the main walkways. The hostess who first seated me saw it. The waiter who came and went saw it numerous times. The server who brought my meal saw it. The busboy who took my dishes saw it. None of them thought it proper to pick it up. A really big dead bug on the floor where anyone who comes by the area can see it, and NO ONE wants to pick it up. I can only imagine how sanitary they are in the kitchen. Will not return.

First time we visited, the food wasnt something I liked (i ended up not enjoying what i chose) but this 2nd visit was super good! #broccolibeef However, the atmosphere was tainted by a lack of attention to surroundings. There werent very many people dining in which at first was awesome for us... but then, it was awkward because 5 staff members were standing by the front counter on their phones, some changing shifts apparently. They were loudly using profanities and talking about things that should not be talked about at a workplace, let alone a family resturant. They were rrally just not watching their mouths (and for some it isnt a big deal but there were young kids present). It got so bad that I wanted to speak to a manager but in the end I just decided to post instead. If management sees this: please have a meeting about phone use during working hours as well as workplace respect/etiquette. Profanity should not be allowed unless your establishment is catering to adults only. Kid-friendliness: I wouldnt bring my family here unless management fixed the staff vulgarity/attentiveness. It ruined our date while everything else was pretty darn good.

Great experience both times we ve eaten here. The cooks, whom one may see at work near the entrance (open view), make their own noodles! Decorations are great. Neat place kinda hidden behind Pieology area ;opposite corner) near Costco, but across the street. Just ask lots of questions because menu only goes so far into details. Thick noodles are not normally my go-to, but they re so fresh and good here. Can t tell from menu whether they offer vegan, but again ask questions. What they describe as spicy for this Mexican American kid from the Valley is not even a little bit spicy. But they have sauces. Asked for cilantro and lime no problem. Best thing on the menu is fried (not steamed) dumplings. Sampler: all delicious, but favorite might be pork and vegetables, with chicken right up there and beef a distant fourth. Huge menu. Lots more to try next time!

It s our first time here & hubby and I enjoyed our lunch. The place has a great vibe perfect for a date, a family get together or just friends eating out. It s a bit pricey but worth it. I ordered a Tonkatsu ramen with pork belly while my husband ordered the Spicey Sour Noodle Soup with pork belly. The broth is rich, not to thick and filled with flavor. We also ordered the Takoyaki and Hongyu Wonton for appetizers. Our Noodle soup is $15.99, and the prize depends on your choice of protein. But man, it is so good and the serving can be for 2 people. I highly recommend this place and Inwill definitely comeback here. It s my new favorite ramen place! Parking: The restaurant is in a commercial complex where there are ample parking spaces. Kid-friendliness: You can bring your toddlers for they have high chairs for the babies who can sit. The place is spacious that you can bring your sleeping baby in the stroller.

Wow when I saw this I got so excited cause I have been to the Corpus location many many times when I am traveling with work. To be honest its truly one of my favorite places to eat and lets be honest there really is not good Asian food in RGV. I ordered my normal Spicy Szechuan Chicken and curry beef noodles. First I ordered Togo and when they asked for my number I told them I don t give it out and they argued with me and said they had to have it. Finally someone else came up and just took my name annoying. I waited my 10 minutes which was good on speed. I noticed how heavy everything seemed, but didn t look at food when I got to the hotel. I noticed definitely a different dish, but I knew this was what I ordered see below. The chicken was definitely not popcorn more like tenders all very overcooked and chewy and it seemed like there were two or 3 pounds of it. This dish should be very bite-size pieces. It s popcorn chicken and had almost no peppercorns , when did jalapeños become Asian this dish should not have jalapeños it should have that numbing effect. This is normally a very dry dish and the chicken was extremely wet and a sauce. It did taste fine. It s just not correct. I have had this at other oodle and dumpling restaurants , this is the first time that it came out like this The other dish I had was curry noodles beef if you order curry anything you should never be looking for seasoning what it seemed I got was more of a beef lo mein. It tasted fine plenty of beef. Great tasting noodle had a good chew but where is the curry and trust me? I do understand Asian curry, I know it s not Middle Eastern curry I will for sure be back heck maybe even tomorrow and try some other things but RGV needs a really good Asian spot. I am hoping this is what it is. The place was busy. I love to see that just don t insult people with wrong ingredients just because you think they will like that people come to restaurants wanting to be authentic food served to them otherwise they could ve went to an Asian buffet, I will report back

Unacceptable Ramen Experience , so I m writing to express my utter disappointment with the so-called ramen soup at your McAllen, Texas location. Let me be blunt: it was the most unauthentic ramen I have ever had in my life. The soup base tasted like someone mixed Alfredo sauce with water. It was a disgrace. The noodles were Italian, resembling the kind youd find in a Progresso can. And broccoli in ramen? Who does that? It makes no sense and completely ruins the dish. The pork belly was another horrible thing to point out. It was not tender and had no flavor like I asked it to be but either way it was going to taste like Olive garden. To add insult to injury, you charged $17 for this travesty. That s outrageous, especially when there are real, authentic Japanese ramen places around town that offer high-quality ramen for much cheaper. Then, to make matters even worse, the manager had the nerve to try to charge me half price after I complained. This was after the employee at the front had assured me it was good and authentic Japanese ramen, which it clearly was not. The only thing remotely Japanese about it might have been the fish cakes, and even that s a stretch. This experience was an absolute letdown, and you need to seriously reconsider your recipe and pricing. I won t be returning and will make sure others know to avoid this place. Then to add to the burn the manager was wanting me to pay at least half of it and Im just like okay. Why should I pay half or something if you clearly told me it was authentic thats kind of like false advertising. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place if youre trying to eat. Ramen, real ramen that is. Then they have to tell me that its actually Mandarin style noodles when Ive actually tried authentic Mandarin noodles and these taste nothing like it. So they tell me first its Japanese ramen and then they tell me its mandarin noodles after complaining ,but it tastes like Italian noodles and a bowl of pasta soup. If you make the mistake of coming there, youll see what Im saying. To make it all worse than noodles were not even fully cooked, right? They tasted raw! The place is really dirty, especially the bathroom. The waiters are unprofessional and have no manners, And its really hot in there. They lack air conditioning.

The Manager is not a true manager but a glorified waiter. Tried to explain to him about food preparation and the timely fashion food is brought to table. He rudely told me to leave after I told him if he was properly trained and he said no. So I said no wonder food service was bad. He told me his name was K D

Really pretty restaurant i love fresh noodles cause they re chewy. I really liked everything my friend said it was ok. I paid about 83$ for two people. Granted we got a little bit of everything so i don t imagine its that expensive for just two people. I got the steamed colorful combo for the dumplings and i don t recommend it to the average person the taste aren t very basic i recommend it for someone who wants to try new things as its very interesting flavors.

Maybe it was just a bad day for them but my friend & I were so excited to try this place. Unfortunately everything we ordered was bland other than the edamame. No flavor on the noodles or dumplings we joked about going home and trying to fix it ourselves. I might try again since the reviews are great and I m hoping it was just a bad day. 80 dollars later we ate hardly anything. UPDATE changing my rating I gave it another try this time it was great I guess I went on a bad day which is still sad we spent so much and it was so bad but the 2nd time it was amazing!

My first visit here ordering to go was a seemless process, from the hostess up front taking my order, to her offering me a drink while I sat for my order to be prepared. The open kitchen up front has a clear view of chefs kneading bao, and making noodles, and meals. For the hungry patrons. It made me feel, as if I were at a restaurant in China during a busy dinner rush. Im for sure returning here. The atmosphere was a vibe.

Ill start with the good: the udon noodles from the braised beef soup are hand pulled and made in house. The broth is full of flavor as well. However, the braised beef contained a lot of fat and I found myself finding more and more pieces of beef with fat. Now with the bad: the cucumber salad was not as enjoyable as I had hoped and was unsightly, though I did not capture a photo unfortunately. The vegetable fried noodles were lacking salt so we ended up just adding soy sauce from home which did manage to enhance the flavor. Finally, the prices are a tad high especially for what you are paying for. I understand inflation is abhorrent at the moment but I was expecting a much better experience for what we paid for.
