I loved the place, the excellent service, the waiter (Javier) recommended the rib eye espinita, it is the best cut I have eaten in the valley, the drinks are not to be said I went with my family and he gave us a great experience, very attentive and very friendly, I will definitely return (when you go, ask that Javier attend to you)

This was supposed to be an upscale restaurant, but the food was horrible, especially for the price. I got was sounded like fish shrimp tacos on the menu but turned out to be a whole crab in a tortilla and burned!! It was gross. My mojito was ok, but watered down EXTREMELY fast. Ordered a kids hamburger and fries for my toddler and a regular burger for my oldest. They were the EXACTLY same size! The regular one was $18 and the kids was like $10. Big rip off! The waiter guys were rude. As if those employees that think that because they work for an upscale place they are better than everyone else. If you dont want to cater to people.. DONT BE A WAITER! stay in your lane please! I wouldnt go back even if it was a free meal! I dont recommend anything from here. Save your money! IG doesnt even need to know you ate here!

This one is disappointing. This place is on the expensive side. We ordered steak and fries for one entree and the picanha as the second entree. Both ordered medium rare somehow they were both over cooked but still delivered cold. :/ service was great. We had an issue which they promptly corrected and we felt taken care of. The only issue is the price and quality of food. This just ain t it.

The truth is that for a restaurant that projects the idea that you are going to eat some good cuts, they stick to chopped meat and are very expensive in relation to what they serve, and it is definitely all business, but I think they go overboard with a very HOT great, in the profit they want to obtain or the rent in that location is very expensive, they transfer it at the time of paying., add that maybe a Queso Fundido and Guacamole is very miserable, the portion based on price-quantity, if it is not a restaurant gourmet. I promise I wont go again.

MOST UNDERRATED STEAK I VE HAD IN THE RGV. This steak was the best steak I ve had in the area and I ve gone to almost every place that sells steak especially ribeye. This place is beautiful, quiet ambience great for dinner and drinks with your spouse, business meetings or birthday dinners. The food is delicious and very attentive servers. The best are the micheladas and the tortilla soup!... the orders of tacos come in 3 and although it seems like there are few of them, they are very filling, we tried the ribeye slices and the shrimp governor tacos, for starters we ordered ribeye chicharrones and they came on a bed of guacamole with pico de gallo. It is the first restaurant that I have had to give us hot sauce as it should be... Manuel is the one who waited on our table and showed great experience in the menu, his service was excellent.

We went as a group of 4 people for dinner on Sunday, September 17 and to my disappointment they do not have a Gluten Free Menu, since I am allergic to gluten. I asked them to please prepare me a salmon with only salt and pepper, which the Chef refused. The waiter who served us was very friendly, but we were not able to dine there. It would be fantastic if a restaurant of that category had a gluten-free option on its Menu. Given the experience we had, I cannot leave a good recommendation. Overall: meh. My experience there was interesting. The servers were very friendly but were ready at a moments notice to snatch your menu, your plate or your glass the moment it appeared you were done, as opposed to asking, May I take your plate?. The prices are moderately high for the size of portion and quality of the plates. The area between Ware Rd - Shary has become saturated with high-end Mexican restaurants that typically appeal to the wealthy or narcos with money. I will give credit where it is due. The atmosphere was great, though they had videos looping on the screens that did not match with the music playing. In fact, the video and music were completely different songs. The service was very good, as well. In summary, La Ganadera is becoming the next Taco Palenque where they are trying to appeal to a different clientele and create their own version of Palenque grill or even Casa de Palenque, which is fine. Ironically, the food is better from a regular La Ganadera than this new location. Spend the same amount of money and get a large amount of food for your family at a regular La Ganadera.

The place is on the fancier side of restaurants and their service shows. I read several reviews complaining, but this is not your typical valley TAQUERIA and maybe thats what people are kinda comparing it to. Prices have to be higher because this is not the meat market where you pick up and go. Anyhow, our server Manuel was awesome and we ordered Fajita tacos that were to die for! I also order the elote slices and those were scrumptious!! We also enjoyed the chips and salsa while waiting for our food. Then the server had me sample a mango drink which led me to buy the whole damn drink and I dont even drink lol!! But it was delicious. Every waiter in there was very helpful and asked several times if we needed anything. Their attentiveness and great attitudes was a great way to be served. The peso pluma in the background playing was aweaome as well. I would recommend this place for date nights or to hangout with friends for some drinks. I rate this place 10/10!

It was extremely expensive, not in a fancy way. They wont bring you tap water if you ask. They bring bottled Fiji water thats suspiciously already open. (Not sealed) I got more suspicious because there was a guy picking up the empty bottles from every table. Like not clearing tables like a bus boy, he was only picking up the empty Fiji bottles and taking them back. It took over an hour to get our food. We were there for almost 3 hours total and not by choice. They kept bringing tables and chairs in from outside to accommodate more and more people it was so uncomfortable cause they would pass the tables and chairs above our heads. It got crowed really fast, and we had to squeeze through tables and chairs. They only have 1 single bathroom for each gender so imagine the line. If youre celebrating a birthday, they ask you to buy 3 desserts or charge 10 for cake service. Just an FYI. Paid almost 300 for 4 orders of tacos, 2 kids plates, and 2 appetizers

My $40 dollars steak came with no sides only a piece of onion, this is not acceptable for restaurants that charges premium prices for food. 1st time visited this establishment, I was wholly impressed with the ambiance and the level of courteous service. The menu was outstanding! You have to try the Chicharones de Bistek as an appetizer. The Costillas de Elote are perfectly grilled spears of fresh corn. The burgers are made of freshly ground brisket and they are as delicious as they sound.

We ordered the grilled fagita and it was delicious and very soft. They made a mistake with a hamburger but they fixed it No problem. The reason I gave it a 1 star was because of the atmosphere; The music was very loud and it was reggaeton and they showed videos where there were very explicit scenes and there were children present. I asked the waiter if I could please change the music and he told me: for 10 dollars maybe the DJ will change the music. I went to the DJ to ask him to change the music and he did. But after a while he went back to what he said. same.

The place and the atmosphere are pleasant, my review is with the intention of improving. First of all, the person who receives does not have good attention, he simply points his finger at you which table he assigned you. We ordered a rib-eye grill, really good but very simple, if you want accessories you have to order them separately, the tortillas are few. Another detail was that we asked the waiter for the bill and he gave us the amount without a receipt, then he sort of caught on and brought us the receipt.

Ribye was good, prices were high. Asked for water, and waiter brought us bottled water. Two tequila shots were 32 dollars. Kind of sketchy in my opinion. 32 dollars can a buy a bottle of patron. Service was good. Atmosphere was loud. Almost wasnt allowed to order because kitchen closed at 930 pm.

Great place with amazing food! I ve been here more than a dozen times and it never disappoints. I ve had the chance to try most of their diverse yet delicious menu. They always start you off with some tostadas, beans and salsa which we love! This last time we shared the tacos jeque as an appetizer. As an entree I had a tuna and a salmon tostadas. I also got to try the rib-eye. If you re looking for great food and drinks this is your place!

Very bad service, it took too long to bring the food and they also brought it cold and raw, no napkins or sauces or anything. It is not worth paying so much for a very low price for low quality of both service and food, I would never return.

First time and last time here; too much hype surrounding this establishment just to find overpriced and not so tender and juicy beef offerings; ordered parrillada for 5 and was completely disappointed at how dry the meat was; no pico de gallo; and the salsas are served in one ounce portions.

My ribeye was decent but the incredible thing was that they brought me my dish and they never brought my companion his food, I had been eating for 25 minutes and my companions food never arrived, something truly outrageous, it is a disappointment that I thought they would have better service but we decided to ask for the bill and my companion was left without eating, I would definitely never return
