I just checked in with a very friendly staff member by the name of Alfonso. Excellent service & very friendly demeanor. Im a truck driver & just got off of the road. Alfonso allowed me to check in early. This was such a nice gesture. My room is clean & very spacious. Yeah, I highly recommend this place. Thank you!!!!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS POORLY MANAGED HOTEL. I travel for work and often keep late hours so my sleep is very important to me. I was woken up at 9am by a hotel employee trying to enter my room. It could have only been an employee as the security lock was engaged. I immediately rang the front desk to see why this happened and they said they would take care of it. A few moments later they knocked on my door to tell me that I was imagining things and that no one had bothered me, while they were bothering me. I had called the night previous to set my checkout for 1130, usual checkout being 11. At 11:02 I got a call from the front desk asking why I had not check out yet. I explained to them that I had requested the earlier checkout time. I then hopped in the shower so I could get out of this godforsaken hotel as soon as I possibly could. While showering I got another knock from room service asking me to vacate. This was about 2 minutes later. FOUR disturbances in a 2 hour period for absolutely no reason. I lost my sleep and my sanity. Upon checking out, I lodged a complaint about these disturbances. I was told that the initial door opening at 9am was a security check . I have NEVER heard of such a thing in my life. How is opening someone s door and disengaging the security lock a security check ? They admitted to all the other disturbances as well, which I at least appreciated. I was then told a manager would follow up with me. It s now been 3 days, I have called multiple times and even when the manager is there they are too busy to get to the phone. I ve in turn given up and have written this review to hopefully warn others of this hotels violating and disturbing behavior. Stay elsewhere.

Because I left a bad review for the horrible management and hiring , they wont hire me. You people need some growing up to do acting like youre stuck in high school. I wouldnt trust this hotel for my life. The people are not trustworthy especially the owner speaking bad upon EVERYONE. Que asco the mindsets the workers have here. Yall dont want to see people win and help your employees. Pick better workers who dont have the mindset of a teenager.. very unprofessional not hiring someone for speaking the truth. If you re looking for a job here, DONT. They re always firing people for not doing enough, when they have a lot of work to do as it is for only little pay. The person doing the hiring is very disrespectful and unprofessional, talking about workers behind their backs to other people and lying to them. You can t push people to do more when their schedules are already filled and takes time to do things. They ll probably fire you too if you don t move as fast as they want you to. Very unprofessional acting like high schoolers gossiping instead of caring about workers giving their all to work. This hotel needs better management seriously.. not sure why the manager is still in charge and has a job. I won t recommend this hotel to anyone I know. 0 STARS IF I COULD.

This hotel was clean and is a smoke-free place. they have a pool and gym. Also a mini bar in the front with a lounge area. One of the ice machines was broke in the 3rd floor so we had to keep going to the 1st floor.

A good place to rest and spend time, whether for work or pleasure. The place is very well located and close to all the shops and shopping centers, a little far from the city center but if you have a vehicle it will be very easy and quick to get anywhere, even outside the city. The rooms are spacious and have very comfortable beds where you can rest very well. They also have a minibar and microwave in case you need to preserve or heat food. It has a TV with several channels, not only in English but also in Spanish. The breakfast served from 7 to 9 am is very rich and provides the necessary energy for the day. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I hope to soon return now with the family. The parking lot is enough to store your vehicle and you can enter your room independently at any time you want.

11/18/23 - The high rating for this place was extremely MISLEADING because its FILTHY. Our room was dirty. Dirty tile floors, dirty carpets, dirty sink, dirty tub, furniture and table top surfaces were all sticky. We arrived a few hours early and asked if we could check in early. They refused saying they needed more advanced notice. Okay. But we waiting 3 hours in the lobby with the cleaning staff while they gossiped and ran in and out to smoke cigarettes. When we checked in, the room was honestly the filthiest Ive ever experienced. EVER. Why did we even wait to check in?!?!? They did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING inside our room aside from providing bedsheets, which were moist. Theres trash and dirt on the floors. No one vacuumed or mopped or even wiped a counter in our room. DISGUSTING Im not even a picky person. This was just flat out laziness and neglect in action here. The AC was luke warm when set to 70 degrees. The mini fridge was warm and couldnt cool enough to chill a bottle of water. I suppose this place was nice at some point, but no longer. Whatever crew that made this place clean and welcoming is long gone from here!

I will never stay anywhere with the windham label. Even motel 6 has a pool, and its actually less expensive. Dark room, cracks every where you look. I was able to book last minute on this hotel. I think I paid 77 dollars for 1-day (Sat through Sun). The rooms floor was dirty, but I noticed because my kids feet got dark real quick. I always use shoes on hotels for that reason, but kids are kids. The breakfast area was very small for the crowd. I didnt have a problem during check in, mini fridge worked wonderfully (my bottle of water got ice cold).

I had a nice experience at this hotel, the staff was friendly upon check in/check out. The room was clean, it could have been better but I m not too picky. There was no microwave (as listed in the amenities) and the safe was broken (had to carry my valuables with me). The fridge worked fine and the AC was pleasantly cool. The hotel stay was calm and quiet for someone that was staying in the first floor. The continental breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of options to choose from. I definitely recommend and would come back.

Great customer service! I was helped by the young man at the front desk named Luis. I have a bad back and need to sleep inclined, so I called the front desk to see if they could bring me some more pillows. Look for another place to stay. The lobby has a smell to it. Smells like this place was flooded at one time and the lobby was not aired out. It is a musty smell. The rooms are the same. We had 2 rooms and as soon as you walk in a musty water smell. It has a humid feel to the room. Need to crank up the AC to get rid of the humidity. The carpet.... it needs to be ripped out. Diry, dirty, dirty, dirty! One of the room did not have hot water so we have to change rooms to take a shower. The staff was great. They are the only reason for 2 stars.

The staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Please Baymont give your staff awards! I want to especially thank to Brianna Alanis. She was great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate a birthday weekend. Thanks to Brianna!!!!!!

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. ( our special thanks to Mr Edward he was very helpful, Mr Edward is the most valuable assets for Wyndham Rewards .I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting McAllen.

Ive stayed at a lot of hotels in the area and for a room around $60, this one is a steal. This hotel offers you a lot more then any other. The room is clean, the shower has lots of pressure and lots of soap, there is free breakfast, and you even have an ironing board and iron. The place is nice and quiet too. Internet also works great. 10/10 will be having my extended stays here

Nice place for the price.. comes with a decent breakfast of pancakes, eggs, ham, fruit, cereal.. plus oj/apple juice. Staff is friendly, we got a little weirded out cuz when we pulled in the parking lot was full of State Troopers(cops), by morning they were gone. Front desk lady said they often stay here, which tells me its probably the nicer/safer option around here. I would recommend and I would stay again if ever in this area.

I flew into McAllen for work. The company booked a bunch of rooms here for all of us to stay for 2+ weeks. At first glance, it looks like an older hotel that Wyndham bought and fixed up. I get in the room and everything looks at par for the hotel. My first day going to work was a long day and where I arrived back at the hotel, my door was open. Housekeeping had never shut my door. I had my a/c running all day and it had caused all my clothes to be damp. I didnt have another place to go so I asked the front desk to make sure housekeeping shut my door. The next morning I went down for continental breakfast. All you could smell was sewage. After talking to test of our team, I found out that the first 2 floors of the hotel smelled like that. Speaking of smells, the wardrobe Im the rooms are freshly painted and if we put our clothes in them, they come out smelling like paint. I eventually asked for a new room. The door shut in the new room so that was a plus but I lost the option to take a bath. The bathtub floor was cracked and rusty. The company finally booked us at another hotel. You need to read that review to see how I ended back at this place.

Never have i been called by front desk to ask when I will be leaving. This was well before checkout time. It made me uncomfortable and I felt like housekeeping was lurking outside my room waiting. Rude and unacceptable business practice.

Wow... For the price this hotel is perfect. Very clean, very reasonable. Very friendly staff, definitely recommend this place for business stay or vacation stay. Rooms are amazing and rival any high end hotel.
