This Golden Corral was laid out different then others I had been to - I liked the layout!! The food was really good and Teo our waiter was awesome!!! So glad to have been in his seating area!! Huge call-out to Teo - thank you for everything!!! You all sang great and made the day even funner!!

There arent that many options and nothing stands out. The food is very basic and cheap. Salad bar was decent. All the chicken options are terrible. Too salty or no flavor, cold and undercooked. We gave up trying other options. I wanted to get a refill, but nobody offered, so I tried to get my own. Noticed a guy in a sports jersey refilling his drink, when I tried to get my refill he told me its for employees only. I guess he worked there? Couldnt tell by what he was wearing. He didnt offer to refill my drink. Another employee did. Long story short, for the price its not worth it. Average at best. First and last time for me.

I have been to many golden corral restaurants, and I must say this is one of the worst. The stations were practically empty. No lettuce in the salad bar area. many of the pans were empty. The person running the steak area could not keep up. When I finally found a table that wasn t filled with empty dishes, I never did get a server. All in all it was a waste of money!!

I paid 43.26 for 2 people. It is way too much as their food isnt good or fresh, but because you pay so much, you feel obligated to eat a lot, which is really uncomfortable. Also, as soon as I sat down, some waiter asked me for my receipt? I asked him why, and he said its required to check. I felt so accused of not paying after I had just paid so much. Then he wrote something on it and gave it back. He also kept interrupting while we ate like he wanted to interact. I was expecting him to take our plates when we left for more food but he would come back and ask if we were done with the piled plates. As if they werent piled for that reason? Its like he didnt know how to eat at a restaurant and he worked there. He was obnoxious! The food, the waiter, and the way the whole restaurant is organized by having to get your own drink before paying means poor management. The price should have the drinks included. A waiter is useless if you have to get your own drinks and food, especially the stupid waiter I got. He ruined my night.

The staff at the place are very friendly, it is a good buffet and a place to go with the family and eat different types of food. The Price is very reasonable. We were 5 adults for dinner, they only ordered 3 drinks and 2 waters and it cost &101 without the tip. Kid-friendliness: They do accept children and pay very little.

If you are in McAllen you should go to this place, there is a very, very extensive buffet bar, the food is quite good and excellent value for money, a place suitable for gluttons!! Parking: You have to arrive early because the downtown area is not that big. Kid-friendliness: Super for children, the menu adapts to them!

Very good food. Except that the assistant manager JENNIFER is a very despotic and rude woman. Fighting for $1 of the glass that we had grabbed without knowing that it cost $1 more than the one they had sold us since they only told us that we were going to have a drink because it was charged separately to which we answered yes, they never mentioned which glass to drink. The woman, this Jennifer, was not at all respectful and went and took it out on the waiter, calling his attention to which the waiter had no fault at all!!!!

Its about what you expect from Golden Corral. So much variety but the quality is lacking. Some food options such as the Bourbon street chicken was great, as well as the grilled sausage with peppers and onions. Many of the food items were on the salty side. Its a good place if you dont know what you want and just want to have choices. If you want quality, maybe go somewhere else.

We love this place but I think they should evaluate the manager, since his work is more important in areas such as supervising the room, the staff and the service than being on his cell phone. We lasted more than half of our meal without having the presence of a waiter, we did not have our drinks, we ordered Agua de Jamaica but they served us fruit punch from the machine. So we definitely consider that this would not happen with good work by a manager and if he was focused on his work.

Every time Ive gone, chicken has been almost raw in some parts. Some pieces still have pink on them Chicken could be cooked a little bit more. It used to be great but now it s not. First of all very expensive. Second of all we all want to eat steak and what do they do? You pay , you get a table, you get a plate and if you want steak you better be prepared to stand in line and that s a short line like 3 people waiting to get a piece of steak. And when the steak is ready they give you a little piece. By the time you sit down and start eating like 40 minutes already passed by. And then they turn off the stove on purpose so they take longer to cook . That way they don t make as much. The managers don t care and it s just not worth it. If you want good steak go to Logans Road House . Over there they treat you like family. Never ever coming here again.

My mom fell in the restroom she told a worker and the worker quickly went in and put a rug and wet signs before the manager came and the manager was giving us really bad attitude. The cost for adults at dinner is $16.99 plus a soft drink of $2.99 What I liked the most was that as soon as the food was finished they immediately put more, so they are always on the lookout to make sure there is no shortage. What I didnt like was that the soda tasted like tap water. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very familiar.

So now they charge a lot more on weekends but wont have what you want. He seems to not give a damn whether I was happy or not. Wont go back, even on a dare. Server went to get me a Diet Coke refill, waited for a minute, went to drink station, she was talking to co-workers and eating with them. all these times we ve came to golden coral we ve never had an issue but today was the day. We waited for someone to give us refill and no one came after a while my mom had to go up to ask not once but TWICE all while OUR waiter was getting sent home by a manager in front of people imagine how embarrassing that could ve been for him, he was so nice but he left before we even had a chance to leave a tip. We had dirty plates waiting to get picked up and after 30 min of waiting someone finally came and told us he was gonna be our waiter after waiting for so long. With that being said I hope you guys hire better waiters with better communication skills and customer service.
