I love this place! I work at Macy s and I m tired of the food from the food court so I come to OAK all the time and they have great food and is cheap! The water fountain drinks, lemonade and water are horrible to be honest . I m someone who can t stand the cold and I m always freezing here so if you can t tolerate cold weather bring a sweater. Besides that the servers are nice specially a werita with color eyes she s so sweet. They also have great alcoholic beverages. If you come in the afternoon it will be dead so if you re trying to enjoy a calm dinning then here is your place to go. At night it s busy usually saturdays.

I travel down for work, and this was my second time stopping here for dinner. My first visit felt a little more welcoming than this one. The burger was really good but the portion size for fries is like a kids meal. I sat for a minute before anyone actually took my order and that was kind of concerning to me because they really werent bustling with customers. I would go again because its close to where I need to be for work and it was good but they could definitely step their game up with friendly, welcoming service.

I ve been to all the different oak s around the RGV & this one is my favorite one hands down! The service is fantastic & the food is amazing, especially when the wait is non existent. Make sure you ask for Crystal she s the best of the best!

The atmosphere at the bar is fantastic, making it a great place to hang out. However, I was disappointed with the lack of training among the bartenders. During my visit, I noticed that all the bartenders were consistently underpouring drinks. I had to order a shot and mineral water on the side, along with an ice cup, to make up for it. The real issue came when I ordered a tequila shot for my ranch water. The bartender served an underpoured shot, which was confirmed when security stepped in, took the tequila back, and measured it in front of us. Indeed, the shot was underreported. While the bar has a great atmosphere, the lack of proper training for the staff is a significant drawback.

Very disappointed, I went in to watch the fight and paid the cover. All tables were sold out (which you had to pay an additional $30 and up depending upon the size). So I asked if we could watch seated at the bar and was assured that I could so I paid to enter. Five minutes before the fights were to start I was told they were just informed they had to remove all bar stools and I would have to stand the entire time. I let them know I was assured I could sit at the bar when I paid to enter and they said they were just informed. I requested a refund because I was not going to stand for hours, they admitted it was their error but only the GM could approve the refund. I would understand if I paid by credit card but I paid cash and easily refundable. They insisted only the GM could, even after confirming it was their error.

Absolutely ridiculous! I was turned away from Oak Texas Bar & Grill just because I was wearing shorts that apparently didnt meet their guidelines and being gay. Who knew I needed to dress like Im going to a royal ball just to grab a burger and a beer? Not worth the hassle, will not be returning.

Terrible service. Had to wait for a while before anyone came up to my friend and me. I asked the bartender if someone would serve us, and she didnt know English, so we had to wait another 3 minutes for a bartender to come up to us. When I asked the guy if anyone would serve us, his response was, What do you want? I asked for Honey Whiskey. The girl who cant speak English gave us 1/4 of a glass and ended up charging us $17. Absolutely ridiculous. Ill never go back.

Been here more than enough times since theyve opened and have had nothing but great experiences when it comes to service and quality. Brought my mom for her first time last weeks and she decided she wanted to come back for her bday a week later. Erika served us and was phenomenal. Every order was correct, service was quick and she was very attentive. Everything came out great and even after that the manager Alyssa came to ensure we were being tended to correctly. Just a great over all experience of quality customer service and genuine interaction. They took care of us so well and well definitely be back for birthdays and casual drinking nights. The table and restrooms were clean, which is a huge plus for us as we are a big family. We will definitely be back.

The Oak at South Town never lets me down! I love all the Oak locations, but this is my favorite, since its closest to me. The food is fantastic and has great prices and daily specials. From the addictive wings to the sinful fried Oreo dessert, everything on the menu is AWESOME. Service was spot-on, I told our server we were in a rush to get to the airport. She was quick to let the cook know, all of the food came out quickly without compromising on quality or service. The outdoor area was clean and cozy, perfect for soaking up some sunshine while enjoying our meal, or smoke break for those who smoke. In short, whether youre in a rush or looking to unwind, The Oak at South Town is fantastic. Its my go-to spot, and Im never disappointed. Kid-friendliness: I take my kids all the time, so do others.

I love oaks bar and grill and come here at least 2-3 times a week but the north McAllen area will always be my favorite in terms of food, service and cleanliness. The south 10th street oaks always smells horrible. Like wet dog. Service is okay. Food is good but they do not offer the same as the other oaks which is a bit disappointing.
