It is always a pleasant experience going to this restaurant. The staff is friendly and full of smiles. The Manager,Eric, is always in the area assisting his staff when needed and interacting with the customers. My husband and I are weekly customers to this restaurant. Amazing service guys. Well done.

We had lunch here (Mansfield location) and Ashley was our waitress! She was perfectly attentive!! We never had to ask for a refill because she was always on top of it! She kept the chips coming until our food arrived, piping hot!!! It was delicious and so filling! Thank you, Ashley for making our visit so incredible! This Mexican Inn location used to be excellent. Then, for some reason it closed and reopened a few months later under a new name. The food just wasn t the same and within a few months closed. It reopened again a few months later as Mexican Inn but the food wasn t what it had been for many years. So, we have been going to the Fort Worth location on East Lancaster for about a year and a half. The food is what we used to get at the Mansfield location. Tonight we decided to try the Mansfield location again. The food is back to what is was and has been for years. This location doesn t bring you your own bowl of chips. They are in a basket and it s a half and half mixture of their traditional chips and regular tortilla chips. I had to ask for my own bowl of their traditional chips. I salt them, my husband doesn t. The main problem I saw this evening was the girl making the corn tortillas. She should have been wearing a hair net. At the very least she should have pulled her long hair up in a ponytail or a bun. In the 30 minutes we were there she used her gloved hand to push her hair out of her face 4 times. She did not change her gloves. I did not eat the tortillas. When you prepare food your hair should be confined so it doesn t fall into the food.

When we arrived at around 6:30pm on a Saturday night, the restaurant wasn t even half full, which surprised us. We had really good food, but not really good service. There were at least five servers standing around near the entrance to the kitchen. The manager was very kind and again the food was good. They really need some training with their waitstaff and that is on management.

My sister and her husband planned to have a post baptism meal at this place. They reach out ahead of time and scheduled to have 30 people at a time that was between lunch and dinner rush. However the restaurant assigned only one waitress to our entire group and it took over an hour to get just the drinks to us. It took so long that a frozen margarita was almost completely defrosted. We walked out after paying for the drinks. They lost a ton of business and tips from us and the manager Eric was being rude.

This was not a busy time, but about 4 p.m. Thats why my food rating is low. We never ordered any. My family decided to have our post baby baptism at Mexican Inn in Mansfield. My sister in law reserved the large room for 30 people. They assigned 1 waitress to our entire room and it took us over an hour just to get drinks for everyone. The waitress was very nice and apologetic but after speaking with the manager (Eric) he attempted to blame the poor service on our being late. I saw several patrons having to approach what appeared to be waiters and waitresses waiting around to pay their bill. I sometimes wonder why Mexican Inn isn t busier, but after seeing this level of service I am not surprised as to why.

I went there to have a Mexican lunch today and the food was good, but the services were poor. The wait person could not even come by and check to see if we needed anything and could not get refills on ice tea. It was not busy and this was unacceptable services. Never saw a manager either. A manager should be visible as I would have asked for some ice tea from the manager. My neighbor took me to lunch and this is bad. It was very cold in the restaurant too. Will never go back to that restaurant

I went here based on the reviews and was highly disappointed. I sat at the bar and heard yelling in the kitchen, saw bug spray behind the bar, & witnessed someone get a margarita glass and put their entire hand around the rim and dang near in the glass before fixing a margarita. I ordered chicken fajitas and it tasted like the chicken brought it to me itself. Zero flavor. Rice was over cooked with burnt pieces like it was in the microwave too long. There were two kind of chips & salsa but again no wow moment at all!!!! The only thing that was decent was the flour tortillas which they forgot to bring so I had to wait for. I have no idea why this place gets decent reviews. Awful .. If you are accustomed to quality food I recommend you do not go here.

We had a great experience at this restaurant. The Arroz con Pollo/ #6 is delicious and sometimes I crave it! Our service was quick and courteous and menu items are fairly priced. The staff was having a bit of trouble keeping up with the cleanliness in the restaurant as there were a few large parties that left a huge mess all around their table. Other than that, a great experience in this newly updated restaurant. Can t wait to come back I would say they REALLY need to do a deep clean. We were halfway through our meal and looked up at the light fixture over our table. We almost walked out- COVERED in dust to the point that I m confident some of that ended up in my food- sooo how clean IS your kitchen..? CLEAN IT!

Sadly, the Mexican Inn on 287 Frontage has gone downhill until I no longer eat there. Their originals corn chips and burned and too salty. I have loved the Mexican Inn for 40+ years. It is my favorite place to eat. The Mexican Inn on Airport Freeway is so much better than the one on 287 Frontage that there is no comparison. Drive to Bedford and really enjoy the food.

This location is very disappointing. Compared to the food at the Mexican Inn in Lake Worth, this location doesn t even come close. Your traditional queso is too spicy and too gluey, and whoever heard of a taco salad without a taco shell. In addition, my taco salad must ve been sitting on the side until my sisters flautas were fried because the lettuce was completely wilted and the meat was not even remotely warm. And also no diet Coke and the waiter didn t have any suggestions at all for alternate drinks.

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant out after seeing our other choice and had a 100 minute wait. This restaurant had a 30 minute wait. Great! I was ready to try this place I heard it was good. We arrived and were checked in by the hostess. She said 20- 30 minute wait. I said we will be in the bar. We sat at the dirty bar top. After 15 minutes a person appeared and said I will be with you soon 6 drinks later she helped me. She was running the bar side restaurant, the bar top and pouring for the whole restaurant. After 45 minutes we realized we still havent been seated. I went to the hostess stand and waited 5 minutes, gave me enough time to see our names marked off in red. I asked the hostess why our name was marked off and we havent been seated. She said oh, I can seat you now. Then I walked back to the bar to get my husband and she was calling out someone elses name. I simply said this is for us or someone else? She said I guess its for you since they are not coming. We were seated and a few minutes later a waitress appeared. She took our drink order and went her way. Chip guy came and gave us some food as chips and salsa The waitress came back and we ordered queso and placed our order. It took another 15 minutes to receive my drink from the bar. After another 45 minutes we asked where our food was. She went back to the kitchen and was bringing a plate and to go boxes with her. She handed my plate to me. Btw, the red sauce was brown and the cheese sauce had a hard layer on it. She said beans and rice are ready for the other plate but havent started the fajitas. We decided it would be better if we just left. We cancelled that order and put the other plate into a to-go box. The manager did come without the request of us. He did comp the food and hopes of us coming back. The poor staff was so short handed that everyone was feeling it. It was clear they needed help. It was a horrible first experience and my husband doesnt plan to go back. I ate my food the next day and I enjoyed it even as a reheat. I hope the staffing gets better to serve the patrons that continue to go there.

The employees here are so nice and welcoming. However, the food is not as good as it use to be. The flour tortillas were not tasty homemade like i thought and the enchiladas werent good. The frito chips and hot sauce was delicious,had some to go.

I had the brisket enchiladas, my mom had the chicken tortilla soup, and my younger brother had the chicken enchiladas. Everything was delicious. The chips were worm and perfectly crunchy & fresh. The corn tortillas were fresh. And service was awesome. Zero complaints.
