The food was not good, the food was not hot and the service was terrible, we had to find someone just to get the ticket to pay for our food. She told us that the server had left. No one came to our table to check on us to see if I food was good.

The food was so good I wanted to slap the waiter. I had fried real catfish, fried shrimp, hush puppies. The fried shrimp was breaded with panko deliciousness! Catfish fried extra crispy the way I like it. The best French fries I ve ever eaten crispy and pillowy inside. How they did that has to be kept secret Lol. My daughter had seafood boil with 1lb of crabs/1/2 lb shrimp, sausage, corn, potatoes. My only complaint is they need to revamp that tartar sauce it didn t complement that catfish at all. But all in all everything was perfect and clean the service was excellent.

My wife went there to make an order for takeout on Fathers Day. When she got home with the order I was so ready to eat my crawfish. I was so disappointed, they were mushy and unseasoned. Tasted like mushy watered down tails. 2 lbs down the drain. In all my 40 plus years of eating crawfish, by far these were the worst I ever had. YUK!

Arrived to an empty restaurant and were denied to sit in a 6 person table booth to lay our toddler while he slept. They sat us at the very corner right next to the restroom that smelled. We asked to switch to a different table away from the restroom as it was completely empty and they had the whole restaurant with available tables of more clients arrived we were denied to move tables and had to leave the restaurant. We mentioned we had been there before and were allowed to sit anywhere we wanted and they said we shouldn t have been allowed to chose our own seats. First time I hear this in any restaurant as we are the paying customers. They preferred for us to leave without eating instead of simply switching us to a different EMPTY table in their completely empty restaurant. This customer service is completely unacceptable, will not be returning again. They would rather lose loyal customers rather than provide a table the customer feels comfortable in. UNACCEPTABLE!

Biggest turnoff was definitely watching the waiters pop each other s pimples behind the bar and not wash their hands afterwards. Our waiter was also not very attentive. Next, the fried shrimp was not deveined and tasted off. The side of white rice was hard but also mushy, like it had been overcooked and had been sitting out for a long time. Positives are the garlic crab fries were delicious and so was the shrimp po-boy.

Sat down for 15 minutes and no one came to the table so we left. There were 3-4 other tables of people so they weren t busy at all. The big no refund signs on the tables and stained up menus had me second guessing anyways. Best of luck.

Well again I was sooo hungry I forgot to take a picture of my food. This is a great place to get your palate satisfied. And that robot that brings your food in a jiffy/ hurry is soooo state of the arts. Let me know what you think. Parking: Its in a strip mall off 360 so of course the parking is free. Kid-friendliness: Just fine for children who like seafood Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of low table seating for wheelchair seating. But the isles maybe to small but you can work it out.

We ordered the oysters and they were dry, rubbery and tasted off so we sent them back. They did have someone come and talk to us and we asked them what kind of oysters are they and the lady behind the bar says I dont know I have to go look at the box. So they use frozen from a box oysters. We had the gator bites and they were pretty good. We also had the king and snow crab and they were ok. They did not charge us for the oysters which I was very willing to pay for, overall would not recommend. It is overpriced boxed frozen seafood. For the same money we spent here we could have gone somewhere else for fresh oysters and seafood. Lessons learned, we should have asked what kind of oysters they were. If you want expensive frozen in a box food, this is your place.

1st time ordering pick up. I called to add 1 extra piece of fish to the shrimp and fish combo xs 2. The guy on the phone said an extra $4 per piece. I paid over the phone. But when I get there, no extra piece was in each combo nor was it charged. I asked to add the extra pieces and they refused to honor what the guy quoted on the phone and said it would be $8 each instead, and that the guy who answered was new and didnt speak English well. His English was fine when I called. Even being a new customer The guy said it was policy and no exceptions, so I left and wont be going back.

Order there twice a week had BONES in the fish called to speak witha management and she didnt believe us soo we had to get in our car on a rainy night I had a call in order and go up there to show her the BONES IN the fish they took pics and only offered us a extra piece of fish next time we order from them. Which there will not be a next time she make us feel as if we were lying so we had to go up there just to prove to her the bones in the fish...truly a dam Shame I order form there every week sometimes twice Ill they had to do us look in their system my name is in there always.. a loyal customer is gone now and I know one person probably dont mean much to them to lose but its everything to me to question my integrity over a piece of fish??? I ve been here a few times before and had a DECENT experience. The service or food has never been spectacular, to me, but after tonight I will not be returning. Let s start with the food. My friend ordered one of the baked oyster dishes. The oysters were rubber. No matter how long & hard you chewed, they remained one solid mass in your mouth. When she complained about it, she was informed that they have a no refund policy. I understand why they have the policy, simply put seafood is expensive & it seems like they have a hard time bringing in customers, so I get it. However, if that is going to be your policy you need to ENSURE you are serving high quality food. Serving inedible oysters and then refusing to make concessions is pitiful. Now on to the service; awful is the only way to describe it. The important thing to note is that the service was bad even with a small crowd. The servers were inattentive, to say the least. We had to request water several times & asked for our checks to be cleared several times. The juice ain t worth the squeeze folks.

Good seafood environment. Loved the location and how easily it was accessible. The server seemed a bit annoyed that I asked him for refills on my soft drink. Shouldnt have been a problem, all he has to do is take orders and the robot will deliver then he would still get a 20% grat. Service and attitude could be better, but luckily the food met the expectation. Getting a boil is plenty for two. Ordered something fried as well to contrast with boil. Ive edited my review after they replied. I will be visiting again. My reviews are only my opinion about my experience, and I never want to harm a business.

We got to the restaurant at 9:20 and they did not want to serve in to dine in even though they close at 10, they were only serving to go. If they are still going to make our order to go, what inconvenience is it to let us sit down and enjoy our food. They close their kitchen at 9:30. Me and my family always come to eat around this time and today they did not want to serve us. We came all the way from Corsicana just to eat here because we love the food but this was ridiculous.

I will NEVER return to this restaurant or Akiri which is right next door and owned by the same person. My Type 1 Diabetic daughter and I waited patiently as SEVERAL patrons who came in AFTER us received their food. When I finally asked about the status of our order, we were advised that it had NEVER been placed. She apologized and asked for our order again. I placed the order but also asked for the manager. The manager was completely disinterested and couldnt stop smirking the entire time she spoke. When I asked how they would rectify the situation (at this point calmly), she said she could not add an appetizer (despite my daughters dropping sugar) and she also could not discount my order. Instead, she offered that I could cancel the order that was just placed as if sitting for over an hour waiting for food just to leave with no food was a great customer service experience. I went next door to speak with the owner who of course wasnt in that restaurant either. You screw up and then just tell me too bad, you can just leave?????? Needless to say I will NEVER return.

I came in during happy hr and the server took my drink order. Its my first time but I saw the menu before I came in. She brought my drink at 6:40pm and took my order. I ordered the fish shrimp chicken platter and she said it would take 10-15 min....its now 7:15pm and I still havent gotten my food. I dont even see the server who took my order as she havent came by my table since 6:59pm.... Ive literally watched 3 tables get their food and finish their meals while Im still waiting..finally got my food at 7:20 from the robot server. While I dont expect seafood to be cheap, I think the prices are a tad high. A cup of Clam Chowder that was more potato than any actual clams, $9. I was not a fan of the Garlic Butter Sauce. I would have much preferred just a container of clarified butter. And as expensive as the snowcrab legs were, it would have been nice if they had been prepared properly. I received 6 crablegs, & I know how to break them apart & get the flesh out. However, they had been overcooked so most of the meat was gone. I got maybe enough crabmeat that would have fit on 3 Ritz Crackers. I was really disappointed in how little crab I received for the price charged. If this is the best seafood place in DFW, like their mechanical server likes to say, I would hate to see the worst!

IF YOUR RE BLACK DON T COME HERE! So the hubby and I were wanting to just drop in and grab some seafood, in the neighborhood. When we walked in, no one seated us (first red flag but no biggie), so we sat ourselves! Waited and watched the waitress walk past us a few times until we flagged her down. Note it was not busy, just 1 other small family. She finally took our drink order and food as well, and shortly after a white couple walked in. They were promptly sat, given waters, and greeted! A third couple also came and had the same treatment, (non black). At this time we still had nothing, not even silverware or waters. While waiting for the food, the white couple that came in shortly after us received their seafood (literally 10 minutes), and the third couple have now received their alcoholic drinks. We still had nothing, after being there first. Not even water or silverware. At this point, my husband politely went to the waitress for an update & he said it was in the way. Our oysters came out, on a machine then we waited another 10 minutes. At this time another non black couple came in and also received their food and drinks while we waited. (The racism was very much obvious at this point) So we made the decision to finally leave, and we brought the oysters back. When I went to the bar and asked about our drinks, the waiter told us that they order a quicker drink, (which was a lie! We ordered the exact same thing & i know because we were all seated within arms length of each other) Nothing but excuses, to cover up their racism. Will NOT be back to give them my money! It s 2023 .lets get it together!!

The calamari was excellent. The blue crabs were seasoned but not fresh. They also gave me the wrong crabs I ordered females only ! was actually nauseous the rest of the day. I thought this would be one of my new favorite restaurants. I had my birthday dinner here and even came back with a couple times with friends. During my last visit my friend and I both ended up getting sick. The only thing we both ordered were margaritas (different meal choices). My friend had to go to the restroom at what the crab, because she thought she was going to throw up there. I ended up throwing up at home. Something was off about the drinks for us to feel that way after only having one. A customer even commented on the fact that we left our second margarita on the table, instead of finishing it. I tried calling the next day to let the manager know what happened. Perhaps they served us expired margarita mix? Either way, I thought they should look into it. Well, the manager never took my call. She only asked questions through the person that answered the call. She ultimately suggested that I go to the ER and if the doctor says their food made us sick, then call her back. Otherwise there is nothing she could do. No apology. No expression of concern. No acknowledgement that this was something that they needed to look into. I was really disappointed in that. Needless to say, I will not return if they do not truly care about their guests experiences. Mind you, I did not ask for anything. I simply wanted to inform them that something was off during my visit. Very disappointed.

I really enjoy the food from this place, I ve been here over 20 times with family and friends since it s been open. However the service I received today was the absolute worst I ve seen. The lady working the bar and taking the Togo orders tonight was absolutely horrible. I typically don t write reviews, especially negative ones but she need to understand common courtesy especially in the service industry. After spending 8hrs at the range and heading home I thought I d treat myself after a long days work. I gave her my number and thought she said Jerome, I repeated the number thinking that maybe I wasn t clear because I have a strong accent. Let s just say it was down hill from there. I typically leave 30% tip where ever I eat, I work a lot and my kitchen is never in use so I believe a 30% tip is decent for convenience and service but I was so upset today that I didn t leave a tip. I took the food, went home and had to throw it out due to being concerned. I really enjoy this place, I perfect gem great food very innovative. I don t want to judge this based on this one experience but it was a very bad experience for me.

We went in this past Friday night a party of 9 one of which was a high chair not but 3 or 4 tables in the restaurant. Getting seated was a task because they were more worried about a robot delivering food. Once we got seated we were asked to scoot our chairs in so said robot could get by still hadnt recieved service. We ended up leaving and none of the staff was bothered by it. Customers are what keep a restaurant open not robots. Maybe we need to focus on our customer service skills and human interaction. Hope they get it better but we wont be back.

My daughter ate at What the Crab with a couple of friends. One of the friends ordered an appetizer. The waitress did not put the appetizer on the friends bill at that time when each girl paid for their meal. My daughters card was accidentally left at the restaurant and the manager told the waitress to use my daughters card to pay for the appetizer. My daughter was not the one that ordered the appetizer but was told since her card was accidentally left at the store they charged the unpaid bill to her card. This is unethical practice. My daughter did not give permission for an extra charge for a meal that she did not order. I have contacted management and was told that the charged my daughters card because it was left there. I am needing management to fix this and am furious to how many other people this has happened to.

Nice atmosphere. When we entered the host staff were very friendly and ready to seat us. The place is nicely appointed bar style restaurant with about 20 tables. TVs were hung in strategic places, some running news, others running sports and one had a kid friendly Disney movie. Waitress was super friendly and explained their dishes while also asking about drinks and appetizers. Menu has almost a Cajun feel but they do not consider themselves a Cajun restaurant. Fish choices are limited to fried catfish, but it is well cooked and very tasty. Oysters on the half shell are served along with alcoholic beverages. We ordered shrimp platter and fish and shrimp platter. Shrimp were huge and lightly hand battered with great flavor. Perfectly cooked. Sweet potatoe fries and regular fries had a nice crisp snap without being over cooked. We were also offered alternative to fries, either small salad or rice. Pleasant surprise when a robot delivered our meals to the table. Great service, great food good value for the money.

Alas, I cannot comment on the food. It was an impulse stop and the family was not feeling crabby. The atmosphere is nice and modern. A lot of new things that I cannot wait to experience. Wife likes the crab, fried fish OK, but the rest to me is aweful. They trick up the sauces to taste uhg and the robot delivering your food is just annoying. You should definitely try the frozen margarita with Corona oh my it gives a desperado feeling , the food came in fast and was fresh , juicy and delicious, you have the option to change the quantity of each sea food in the package you want .This was an awesome first experience and we will definitely be back again. Ordered and paid for pick-up over the phone 1 hour before closing. Got to the place 30 minutes later and was told to wait 15 more minutes for the food. After waiting another 15 minutes, I was told their was confusion over the order and it was never given to the cook so another 15 minutes was needed. Well over 35 minutes I finally received the food which was clearly cooked too fast due to closing. The catfish was soggy and the garlic noodles had a spoiled fishy smell (possibly bad crawfish). My first experience with this place and it was an expensive disaster. I was really excited about trying the overpriced food but it was not it. Manager was there but she didnt bother to intervene, let alone say hello. Smh

Decided to check this place out for lunch. The menu is really straight forward. The service is top notch and the food was actually delivered by a ROBOT!! My son thought this was the coolest feature to the place. The food was phenomenal. We ordered a little bit of everything. Crab fries are a show stopper for sure. Really recommend for a great sit down place to enjoy a meal together with friends and family.

I had high hopes for this place, since we need a good place for boiled crawfish in Mansfield. Overall, it was OK, our server was great, but they were clearly understaffed and a bit slower. That aside, some of the food was great, others were average. The crawfish we got was overcooked. It doesnt come with any fixings unless you add it. We found it was odd that you can also choose to have them cook it frozen vs live for a bit less. Taste was good but the texture was off due to being overcooked. The po boys were good. The fries everyone in our group raved about. Crispy and meaty, they tasted like they had a hint of sugar added. The Cajun edamame was great, and fairly spicy. The fried catfish was good as well. The garlic noodles seemed extra oily. The fried green tomatoes had good flavor but were undercooked and a bit tough. The robot server was interesting and fun (used only to bring food out) but seemed a bit out of place for a southern seafood restaurant. Finally, prices were a bit high for the food. A bit more expensive for the food quality than the few other places locally, but with a wider selection. Vegetarian options: There are several: fried green tomatoes, fries, garlic noodles, mac and cheese (kids), white rice, onion petals, edamame red beans and rice (all sides and appetizers).

This was our first time here, and the food and service were excellent! They had a little bot actually run the food out to the table after the server takes the order, which I thought was kind of neat lol! I had the fried catfish and shrimp platter with hush puppies and fries, and everything was cooked perfectly, large piece of fish and jumbo butterfly shrimp, even the fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly! My husband had the po boy shrimp sandwich and fries, and also said it was excellent! Large portions too. We will definitely be back again!

As an East coast girl, I know Dallas is not going to offer anything fresh from the sea so the hunt for decent seafood has been a challenge. We have eaten at many seafood boils in the DFW and this location did not disappoint. The garlic butter is with fresh garlic and real butter and our boil bags with crab legs, shrimp, blue crab, sausage, potatoes and corn were delicious. Service was friendly and the robot was added fun. They also have happy hour every day with $3 beers. I enjoyed our experience and will be back even though we live 40 min away.

So I m still sitting in the restaurant as I write this review. Shrimp will not peel right, it is big, but looks like the precooked shrimp from Walmart, warmed up, mix in the season and served. The crawfish is definitely not fresh, stale tasting crawfish, tequila so watered down and I had to add for 2 extra shots. The waiter doesn t seem to care, upon telling him what we thought he said well that s the way it s prepared and walked off. Needless to say we won t be returning to what a nothing restaurant.

The flavor is THERE and the oysters are huge and fresh, BUT all of the crawfish were so small and mushy. The flavor is absolutely amazing! It s got that soaked through flavor with plenty of juice. This place is cool. The waitress was so sweet and kind. She helped out with deciding my entre. The have a robotic server. When my boil bag was ready, it was sent out on the robotic server straight to the table. The food was seasoned good. My uncle plate was the fried catfish basket. He said it was seasoned very well. The margarita was just ok... Maybe Bcuz Im used to making my own at home, it could have been a little stronger. Lol but all in all, ill be back the next time Im in Mansfield..

The soap dispenser stopped working. So instead of paying a handyman a $40 service call to fix it they left a soap bottle on counter with the top off so if you re concerned about hygiene maybe this isn t the best place. Also, it took me almost 30 minutes to get water, the crab was undercooked & filled with water & the sausage was not cut like I requested. At first this place was to die for but now that they re starting to make money they obviously care less about customers & quality. That s what all the other local crab places do. The seafood is very fresh and the seasoning is not too heavy. But the price is a bit expensive, and basically the menu does not indicate how much the price, you must look at the market price of the day. But what it says is very obscure, only one TV screen has a display, but its not a fixed display page, you have to be very focused and watch it loop all the time or youre bound to miss it.

If you are on a budget, skip this place. If money is no object, give it a try. Some items are way outrageously priced. $9 for a cup of soup. CUP not bowl, bowl is $15. The appetizers have entrée prices. The market prices on the seafood you dont even want to know. Catfish and hushpuppies are bland, a hint of garlic powder, but thats it. Fair warning, the cajun seasoning is more like a thai peanut sauce. It is delicious. The robot that serves food and keeps repeating best seafood in the DFW area, I dont know who it is trying to convince more, the customers or the employees. It is a novelty that wears thin real quickly. Wendy Wen Qin Lu has a chain of restaurants with good price points, but this offshoot of her nice little enterprise is missing its mark. Go next door to her Akari Revolving Sushi, or her other restaurant Sushi and Hibachi off Debbie Lane.
