Today I had a mammogram at The Breast Center at Methodist Mansfield. They are one of the few places that will provide a pad to ease the discomfort during compression. I have to brag about this wonderful mammographer because they were out of the special pads and she positioned me perfectly and had a technique where she caused minimal discomfort. I didn t need the pad after all! Thank you so much for being so gentle and professional. Maureen Smith

I am very satisfied with my experience at Methodist Mansfield. My father was scheduled today for an outpatient heart procedure that was successful. The staff was super friendly and attentive to his needs. The facility is clean with a cafeteria on the lower floor that had fresh breakfast foods. I would recommend this hospital to anyone seeking professional medical care.

Im here at the hosptial now. When they admitted me I could walk or barely breathe without throwing up. Told them pain was above belly button. They decided it was my appendix or Colin. Did colonoscopy wasnt appendix or Colin so they decided to put in discharge paperwork even tho I feel exactly as I did when I came in. Just a little less pain because they had been managing it for me. I had to convince the nurse how concerned I waa to leave, mainly because when i tried to express my concern to rhe dr i got blown off n told i was leaving anyways. Actually tool 2 emails frlm the nurese to the dr and the sepcnd tome the dr read and ignored it. I felt like where they checked wasnt even where the pain was and that I had felt the exact same as when I came in. Then they decided to do an endoscopy. Didnt find anything. Im editing this a third time because cerbally they said they didnt find anything. On the paperwork of my endoscopy it says i have a hiatal hernia. Which is funny because thats right where my pain is and has all the exact symptoms. N yet i guess thats nothing. Just exactly whats wrongnwith me. Im convinved ag this point that since they did a colonoscopyfirst that i got confused on whwre my pain was. My pain never moved. I kever told them my pain was in any different location. I told them it was at the top of my stomach and they tested the bottom of my stomach And they are ready to discharge me even tho I feel exactly the same. On the original discharge the dr was going to send me home with antibiotics. I asked several times if I had an infection and was told no or idk but they think this should help. This second time they want to discharge me which is right now. They are falling it a stomach acid issue. But theyve been giving me iv acid meds since I been here for the last 5 days. So now Im being discharged with acid meds that Ive been taking the entire time while in the hosptial and hadnt done anything to help. I guess is supposed to help if I take it orally outside the hospital. I feel the same as when I got here. I was here 3 months ago with the exact same issue they called it colitis gave me anti bionics and that was it. Im seriously concerned thag I dont feel comfortable expressing this with my Dr. She doesnt seem to listen to me when I tell her something. I truly feel like shes just trying to get me out so they dont have to deal with it anymore. Idk what to do. I have anxiety n social anxiety so just like forcing my voice or my opinion on people is not easy. Just wish I could get better. Second time in 3 months theres gotta be something Ok Im still here but Im about to leave get this. They came in n said they been giving me anti biotics for this n thay but dunno if I have an infection. Which scares me a lot because thats what Ive been leaning towards but Im not the professional. According to the nurse they hadnt really tested for it. So I told the nurse dr said I can leave when Im ready right. Shes like yea as soon as your good with your diet. N I just looked at her cuz she knows Im not going yo be able to eat it n hold it down. N she was like well if thats what you want. I said ok what would my other options be. She kinda didnt say anything n I was like because there really isnt any right. Shes like yea. N I said ok np go get the dr so I can leave. Shes like you can tell her the anti acid isnt working. I said ok but I know shes not really willing yo try n figure out whats wrong with me. I told the nurse if Im being honest I truly dont think its all of a sudden acid especially since the nurse told me I had been on anti acids since I got here. And that I truly dont believe the dr knows whats wrong with me but that she also doesnt wanna try n figure it out. The nurse just kinda nodded like yea... Take that how yall want. They will openly acknowledge they dont know whats wrong with you. Even if you were just here 3 months prior they arnt going yo try n help you figure it out. They are going to guess and check 1 think then discharge you to whatever they can come up with

Honestly, the worst hospital ever. I went to get pain treatment becasue I have a kidney stone and I was sent to the wating section. The wating was like hell. A woman HAD THREE heart attacks in the waiting room and they left her untreated. We were watching someone die slowly. This other young girl who had soccer pratice or a game I assume in a bad condion was sent to wait?? her leg is bent in half and bleeding badly. This place is also dirty with the vending machines not working too so there nothing thete to eat or drink. All of the workers do not care about the place mental well being. I dont suggest this torture place.

My mother was a patient at this hospital in July, on the 5th floor for about two weeks. Overall, everything was good. Doctors, nurses, and assistants were attentive for the most part, case managers were nice and arranged for our aftercare needs. The food was acceptable and the room was cleaned daily. I must publicly highlight someone who really made my mothers stay special- her nurse Richard. I cannot say how much of an angel he was in caring for Mom. From the moment he first greeted us with his warm smile, charming personality and sweet spirit, I trusted him to take care of her. He tended to her every need and was often first to respond when we called, he treated her like she was his own grandmother. We had a scare after her surgery and Richard was so attentive to her demeanor that he noticed something very subtle was not right and he acted swiftly. Because of his intuition, we found out Mom was having invisible strokes and that was the underlying cause of her illness. If not for him, we never would have known. My gratitude is unending. Whoever is over the nursing staff, or even the whole hospital, should know that he is not one to dismiss. Nurses like him arent taught, they are born with it in their hearts and souls. A gift, a calling, an art, a science, a service. He nursed my mother on all levels- spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically. She never felt alone or unseen while he was there. We always knew she was in good hands with him.

Im not one who enjoys any sort of doctor anything, especially not hospitals, but I dont think I have ever felt safer or more cared for ever than when I was at Methodist Mansfield. Went in for a routine surgery and ended up with an extreme complication, and Nurse Dewanna saved my life. She didnt hesitate to call in the cavalry to get me rushed into another surgery. During that time, the rest of the staff took great care of my husband and helped keep him calm and updated. Nobody wants to be that close to death or talk about the experience, but Im sure that I would not have received the same care at any other nearby hospitals. 10/10 for everyone at Methodist Mansfield and I owe you all my life.

After five days of what I thought was persistent constipation, the pain became more than I could bear, so, I drove to the Methodist Mansfield Medical Center emergency department. I was quickly greeted by a very polite young man who had me fill out a simple form, then after a brief wait an RN took me into a room to do a 12-lead ECG so that a cardiac condition could be ruled out. After that came back normal, I again sat for a short while before another very polite young fellow got me into a wheelchair and took me to an exam room. I had arrived there in the early morning only a short while before their shift change, but the crew that was there when I was brought in still took time to get me situated. Having worked in them before, I thought it was unusual for an overnight crew in a busy hospital ED to remain so pleasant and polite that close to the end of their shift. Dr. Tolbert came in soon after I arrived. He could see that I was in great pain and quickly ordered analgesia. It was such a relief. Dr. Tolbert did a quick exam the ordered some tests. First an ultrasound tech came in the later I was rolled into an MRI room. After that it was back to my room. The pain had persisted and I told Nurse Maci about it. She consulted with the doctor then brought in another dose. That one worked. A few hours later, after the test results came back, Dr. Tolbert came in to tell me the cause of my pain was stomach acid that had inflamed the opening from the stomach into the colon. He prescribed medication which I picked up at the pharmacy on the way home. 24 hours later all my suffering has ended. I cannot say enough about the doctors, nurses, techs, and other staff of Methodist Mansfield Emergency Department. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

I brought my son to the ER at Methodist Mansfield Hospital 3 different times for the same issue, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The doctors were unhelpful and seemed unsure of how to handle his burns, constantly going in and out without providing a clear plan or committing to proper treatment. It felt like they didn t know what to do. Additionally, the post-visit instructions were inadequate, showing a complete lack of care. Finally, on the third visit, a doctor referred us to a wound care specialist, which should have happened much sooner. I am very dissatisfied with the level of care provided.

My experience with L&D. My spouse rolled me up to L&D in a wheelchair. I was asked for my insurance card and ID, all while I was crunched sideways mid contraction and in tears. My spouse was shooed off to the waiting room. I was then rolled into triage in a wheelchair, (all while I was having contractions 2 min apart), told to get up and lay on the gurney, (while I was mid contraction), I held up a one second motion with my finger because again, MID CONTRACTION, and I felt like I couldn t breathe. The nurse let out a loud sigh and said, can I get some help in here , as if I was the biggest inconvenience to her day. Another nurse came in to assist me into the gurney. 15 minutes later, I had my son in triage on a gurney. My spouse wasn t with me, he had been called in seconds after I had our son. When I say this hospital made me feel robbed of this entire birth giving experience, they really disappointed me. I will never give birth at a Methodist Hospital again. The nurses in triage that day were absolute trash & to think they were there to help a mother, (and father), in one of their most special moments in life, they failed greatly. If I could give zero stars, I would.

My epidural was turned off by this same rogue nurse, and they asked to take my baby to the nursery to access his breathing. All a lie. Discharge papers show at his time in the nursery they were extracting meconium for a drug test. Never informed us, never sent a social worker in, and never bothered to tell us why this happened. Thank you so much Methodist Mansfield. Im so traumatized after my experience in your maternity ward, I have to attend weekly therapy and I have now an extreme distrust for medical professionals.

As I write this review, I am a patient on the 4th floor. I have been coming to this hospital for my health care needs for over a decade. I spend at least a week every single year as an inpatient in this beautiful hospital. Every person I have ever come in to contact with through the years as an inpatient and an outpatient have always been nothing short of kind, friendly, caring, compassionate, understanding, patient, supportive, and I could go on and on. It is apparent that no matter the circumstances, everyone always strives to be their very best and it shows! I absolutely must say that my nurses, just to name a few; Damon, Florence, Elizabeth, Lola, Latisha, and all of the other nurses who have been caring for me since I ve been coming here through out the years have all been so much more than a very sick person could ask for. They are all extremely kind and helpful. I just can t say enough about these ladies. Mansfield Methodist Hospital is very blessed to have such a wonderful staff. On 6/30/24, I had to go to the ER because I was having pain and burning around the area of my j tube. They triaged me immediately and then not long after put me in a room where , Chris, my nurse immediately started my care. Dr. Ryan Tillman came in immediately and asked me what was going on. He then did a thorough assessment and ordered bloodwork and an xray. Both were done within the next 15-20 minutes. About an hour later Dr. Tillman came in and said everything looked good. And gently pushed on my abdomen checking one more time to make sure. He did make an adjustment with my tube and showed me how to do it as well. I was then discharged and as I was getting ready to leave Dr. Tillman came in one last time to check my belly. We were in and out of there in less than 3 hours! He is an AMAZING doctor! My nurse Chris was just as amazing. I m so grateful for people like them who truly care about their patients. Mansfield Methodist is the best hospital hands down! Thank you for caring for me the way you do!!

Your RN seemed inconvenienced while stating, Where is the pamplet you got? the number is on the back. What???!!! Id like to wholeheartedly recommend Nurse Linh for her exceptional care and compassion. When my dads condition made us anxious, she was quick to respond and reassure us, demonstrating both professionalism and empathy. She listened to my dad with genuine patience, not only addressing his medical needs but also taking the time to hear his stories once he felt better. Her presence was truly a breath of fresh air, bringing comfort and a personal touch to our experience. Nurse Linhs dedication and kindness made a significant difference, and we are deeply grateful for her support. Thank you for all you do, Nurse Linh!

If I could give a negative number or.a ZERO - I would do it. My mother has received the worst possible care. In 16 days they have only had her out of bed twice and we had to BEG multiple people to do it. The doctors answer when we complained about not getting her up and moving was that s just how it is at this hospital We were also told so can order PT but can promise they won t come She is on day 16 in the hospital when the surgeon said she could go home the day after surgery if all of her home health was lined up. Our case manager is supposed to be handling this but the hospital has assigned us to 6 different people so far and it doesn t appear anything is happening. We are like those people in movies that get stuck in a bad hospital, held against their will and can t get out. There is no reason my mom can t come home other than they have done a very poor job with her discharge details. Nobody cares or takes responsibility. They have also written false things in her records, given her double the meds prescribed, forgot to give other meds, There is more, but hopefully if you are reading this you get the idea already.

I usually have a great experience here but this time was different bc as soon as I walked in, I was ignored. I waited several minutes for the lady at the desk to finish her lengthy conversation and acknowledge that I was waiting to sign in. She never looked over at me or indicated that I could sign in. Finally, I interjected and said I was here for an appointment. Then she decided to get back to work and motioned for the lady to go on through the door. She was not pleasant at all after that. She took me to the room to undress, closed the door without one word!! The technologist made up for it though, she was a breath of fresh air.

One of the worst ER in Texas. Some doctors, nurses and other staff are very racist towards black and Hispanic patients. Methodist Hospital do not care about their patients and do not hold their staff accountable for poor quality of care. Staff lack compassion and integrity. They make up lies in their medical report just to be able to get paid. Methodist hospital at Mansfield must have a personal connections within joint commission to be called a magnet hospital. A true magnet hospital is a Mayo Clinic. Methodist Hospital in Mansfield,Tx don t deserve to be called a magnet hospital whatsoever. It is a very low quality care ER with incompetent staff every where.

I was very sick and my family took me to urgent care. From urgent care I was sent to the hospital via ambulance. Methodist Mansfield, Medical Center emergency got me right in and to a room in a couple of hours. Every single person, whether it be a transporter, or a care, tech, or a registered nurse or engineering, respiratory therapy or the many other staff that helped to take care of me, in my opinion, went above the call of duty. Each person I encountered was so very helpful and so kind. And by the way, the meals were awesome. Thank you so much Methodist Mansfield for taking such great care of me. I appreciate every single one of you so much.

It will be our first choice when needed. Overall it is the best hospital system in Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. EXCELLENT SERVICES. We can rate it for TEN if we can. We strongly recommended it. Update: When I am expressing this feeling, my brother is going through many illnesses. It was admitted to the emergency room at Methodist Medical Center Mansfield, TX (Feb.19, 2024-Mar.15, 2024) and was discharged. Unfortunately, he had to be hospitalized again the next day because of heavy blood loss. After being here for a week, the illness could not be cured, so he was transferred to Methodist Charlton Medical Center (3500 West Wheatland Rd. Dallas, TX) and stayed here for two days and one night. Because his illness was very serious and required more special equipments, they once again transferred my brother to Methodist Dallas Medical Center (1441 N. Beckley Ave. Dallas, TX) until today. He just got out of surgery two days ago and is still in the ICU. Doctors said that because of the serious nature of the diseases, they will monitor and treat them for about another month. My brother was very young and healthy until he got the Covid vaccine. We have been following him every day to help take care of him and give him emotional support, so we are tired and bored. I am at the hospital and commenting for you clearly. I hope my brother can overcome his critical condition soon. I sincerely thank the hospital system for its help to my brother. I will update more after my brother is discharged from the hospital. Methodist Dallas Medical Center (Mar.29, 2024). Update: Until today (April 09,2024), the hospital staffs have given a total of 42 blood transfusions to my brother, and overall his body has stopped losing blood. Hopefully my brother will be discharged this weekend. I will update more. Thanks for your interest. Update: My brother was finally discharged from the hospital. He said that going home was probably only in his dreams. He said he missed home a lot, missed family meals, and missed the sunshine. Today, he is satisfied. Even though he returned home, he still had to be continuously injected with medicine for 3 weeks to kill 2 types of the viruses (each bag of 8-hour infusion was carried with him). We all ended up on a painful journey together. As people often say: without the health, you cant do anything. The health is more precious than the gold. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and all hospital staff who dedicated their efforts to treating my brother. I am extremely grateful to you. Wishing the hospital good luck always.

I am in need of a colonoscopy and an endoscopy. They have refused and denied to let me have the procedures all for the lack of a ride home. I have never been so marginalized, belittled, and humiliated as I have with them. I am a 70 year old widow with no children. I also dont have a car and depend on Lyft and Uber for transportation. They have a way too rigid rule about you having to have someone you know to take you home. The problem they refuse to acknowledge is that I HAVE NO ONE who can do that. They didnt even want to hear about a resolution to the problem. I would rather die than have any more dealings with them. Let it be on their heads if I develop colon cancer. Dont bother to contact Patient Quality. They wont listen to you, only tried to tell me over and over what I already knew. No lets see what we can do to help only its hospital policy and theres nothing we can do about it. No empathy AT ALL!!! ONLY DISMISSIVE AND CONDESCENDING

Only thing that was off was the doctor made a snide comment to my Dad, who brought me, when he asked a question and also seemed to only talk to my Dad at the end. Methodist Health System is the trusted choice for health and wellness by our family. Methodist Health Systems mission is clear: to improve and save lives through compassionate quality healthcare. This mission is not merely a statement, but a guiding principle that informs every action that was taken by the staff. In the emergency room, this commitment to improving and saving lives was palpable in every interaction we experienced with our teenage daughter. Dr. Tillman, along with the nurses: JACKIE JONES, Gonzo, Dennis, and radiology transporter Nicholas, embodied this vision by providing exceptional care. Their professionalism and expertise instilled confidence in us, making Methodist Health System the preferred destination for our family for emergency medical care. Dr. Tillman is an extraordinary physician whose exceptional qualities truly set him apart. During our recent visit to the emergency room at Methodist Health System, Dr. Tillman exceeded all expectations, leaving an astounding impression of professionalism, compassion, and expertise. Upon our arrival, he wasted no time in assessing the situation and formulating a comprehensive treatment plan. His decisive actions instilled confidence and reassurance, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to providing timely and effective high quality care. Dr. Tillman was very kind, knowledgeable, and empathetic. Throughout our interaction, he demonstrated a genuine concern for our daughters well-being. He provided immense comfort to us during a stressful time. Dr. Tillmans follow-up exemplified his dedication to going above and beyond for his patients, which was incredibly meaningful to me. Methodist Health System is fortunate to have such a dedicated and skilled professional on their team, and we are incredibly grateful for the exceptional care he provided. Search

They treated her with morphine and was told it may last a couple of hours. and then I asked, what are we gonna do when we get back home when she gets back in pain the nurse said I need to ask the doctor that question , they gave her IV. It took about 45 minutes or so to do that. It s three hours later and we re still sitting in the room. waiting to be released and she was in a chair not a bed I ve never ever had to sit in an emergency room three hours after treatment waiting to be released. It s ridiculous.; and to think , I use to like Methodist Hospital of Mansfield, but tonight showed me a different level of their services and by the way I didn t think the nurse on duty was very friendly either. This review has nothing to do with the ER that I went to on February 28th 2024. I like going to Methodist Mansfield Medical Center ER theyre one of the best ER that Ive been to. My complaints is with a staff member who took my vital sign and put the IV port in my left arm. I warned him up front that I am a hard sticker, my viens are small and they runs. I do like what they use to help find the veins, over all try to make it easier. The guy that helped me, he wasnt friendly at all. He jammed the needle into the center of the bend part of my arm. Thats where he put the iv port to get blood and incase I needed fluids. The needle hurted so badly, I couldnt bend my arm at all and immediately my arm and hand started to swell up. My arm and hand was swollen so big when I was discharged. I mention it to him that it was hurting the whole time he tells well we had to get the blood. I do lap ALL the time, I know where the best spots on my arms to draw the blood. Most phlebotomist or whomever drawing the blood listen and some dont listen. Today make a week my left arm and hand where the iv was in my arm still swollen and hurting. I had to go back to the ER last night on March 6, 2024 as soon as that person that took my vitals seen my arms he seen my arms and hand was swollen he said the other guy probably hit a nerve in my arm. I pray it go down and stop hurting. Another thing I think Methodist Mansfield Medical Center ER need to add on thier discharge paperwork everyone that assists the ER patients. The doctor is on the paperwork but the staff member that those the vital sign is not. I dont know the guy name that I have the complaint about.

When my mom got injured last week, I was able to confidently advise her to come to Methodist Mansfield. They took great care of her in the ER in the Fast Track area. While it did take a while because our population is growing faster than the hospital can build, everyone was so kind, helpful, and generous with their time. Ive spent 2 weeks daily watching and paying close attention not only to my brother but 3 close friends on the 5th floor with strokes and Not ALL but most of the patients (some paralyzed completely) are very neglected . I realize hospitals get understaffed and busy but I have observed several nurses standing around visiting or on their phone while patients were yelling from their room for help. I personally walked by the same room daily where a woman always begged me to stop and give her a drink of water which was setting on her table. I always chased down a nurse to do it out of concern for choking. Im not trained to deal with stroke victims. A friend of mine who cant feed himself sat for 3 hours with his food on the tray in front of him waiting for a nurse to come feed him!! My brothers room wasnt swept or clean for several days until I did it myself. He wasnt bathed on a regular basis until I brought it up after a week and started cleaning him myself. A handful of nurses or techs worked their rearends off and were extremely kind others were so harsh and hardly ever seen even after I called several times. Horrible. Cleaning is NOT a PRIORITY! I would be ASHAMED to work there!

I would give zero stars if I could. In Dec 2021 my father, a disabled Vietnam veteran with bi-lateral hearing loss, was admitted to MMMC hospital for cardiovascular/vascular specialist care and mild stroke recovery. He had been in a local hospital over 1-1/2 hrs away recovering from Covid that caused his mild stroke and partial paralysis of his left arm. He was there for 7 days where he received Remdisivir. (He battled C19 at home for 5 days prior to being admitted to hospital, receiving monoclonal antibody infusion 3 days prior to admission.) He was improving and doing well. We had been doing PT and he began moving his hands and fingers more. I had been staying with him all day, since day two at our local hospital. Due to our small rural hospital not having access to cardiovascular/vascular and a stroke specialist, they reached out to MMMC. They agreed to take him, providing he had a negative Covid test. He did. He arrived on the 10th. Per our phone conversation, he was felt pretty good that evening. I told him we would be over the next morning to do PT and stay with him for the day. I called to get visiting hours/policy for the ICU. The nurse that answered said a max of 2 and no in/out. Thats fine. Upon arrival, we were informed by a nurse, due to hospital policy, he was a COVID patient and could not have visitors. I said, He doesnt have COVID. Hes negative. Hes here to see a specialist for cardiovascular/vascular & stroke care. They were very confused. They said since we drove so far, they would allow us to see him but we would not be allowed to return. I informed them that he was a disabled vet with bi-lateral hearing loss and needed a support person with him. We were denied. They said, They didnt make the rules, they just follow them. I did not argue. We were there from approximately 11:30am to 7:30pm visiting with dad. He had been complaining of his back hurting. They asked me if he had back issues. I said, he has occasional back pain and takes medicine for it. They gave him some medicine and he took a long nap. At this point he hadnt been brought any lunch. Around 2:30pm, two doctors came in. The subject of an advanced directive came up. Dad responded, Thats up to my wife and kids. We have all had this discussion and we as a family knew what steps to take since Dad had afib. He did not sign a DNR. They mentioned he was doing really well, were trying to get him into a stepdown room as soonas one opens up and that was the only reason he was in an ICU room at the moment. At one point my dad wanted to get up. We called nurses station for help. They said for me to help him and not to worry if his alarms start going off. I didnt feel comfortable with helping him walk myself due to his partial paralysis so I helped him setup on side of the bed. Supper came and went. Still no food brought to him, so he had me call nurse station to tell them he hadnt had any food since breakfast that morning. They said they assumed since he didnt eat all of his breakfast, he wasnt very hungry. This was very strange but I shrugged it off and told them he was hungry now and would like his supper. He ate ALL of it! It was around 7:30pm when we left. We were told that we wouldnt be able to return for over 10-days due to Covid patient policy. Once again, he is COVID negative! This upset my dad. We told him bye and that I would call in the morning. I was concerned about him getting proper care and whether or not he would be able to hear and/or understand the medical staff. I received a call at 3:12am that night stating my dad was actively dying and that he signed a DNR and we need to get over there. He passed at 3:36am. We discovered later, upon review of hospital records, he DID NOT have a signed DNR. He became hypotensive around midnight. They gave him epinephrine and he started to stabilize. Around 3:00am, he was given dexmedetomidine (strong sedative) causing his BP to crash. This and no CPR, sadly ended his life.

I expressed some concerns and questioned with her current condition why a neurologist had not been consulted or came by to see her since she came in with stroke symptoms and we had been told she had a small stroke. He told me that she hadnt actually had a stroke because no new evidence had been seen that was different than her past scans. He proceeded to tell me that her level of consciousness or altered mental status was caused from a bad reaction to a muscle relaxer that had been given to her for a bad headache she had complained of for a couple of days after she was brought in. He said he would start her on fluids and antibiotics in case the altered mental status was cause by a UTI. About an hour after this her nurse came in with fluids and I asked about the antibiotics and he said that none had been ordered. Meanwhile, my mother is still having problems. I will add, my mom suffers from Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. Their bodies work differently. Around 4:30pm my mom expressed to me that she needed to go to the bathroom, but all she could say was need pee Her nurse, Sean came into the room and we tried to get her onto the potty chair. Due to her left sided weakness and inability to comprehend what he was saying at the time, he gave up trying to put her on the potty chair and suggested a bed pan. I asked if I could pick her up myself and put her on the chair myself and he said He didnt feel comfortable with that and that he would get a bed pan. My mother was unable to use the bed pan due to it not being the most comfortable thing in the world and because of her ED she runs the risk of her joints coming out of place. So for the next 2 hours, my mother is crying and repeating need pee and I am having to explain to her that she cant get up and Sean is trying to figure out what he can do since he did a bladder scan and she had 325ml in her bladder. I asked about catherization and he said they really didnt like to do that since it could cause a UTI to be worse if she had one, so they dont consider that until the bladder level is over 400ml. Also, at this time, still NO antibiotics had been hung for this supposed UTI. To tell a person or their family member that you cant make the patient more comfortable because they only have so much is their bladder is ridiculous. My mother is almost 75 years old and did not deserve that. After another hour of being in the room with my mom crying because she needed to urinate so bad, other family members had shown up and we ask if it would be possible to have a diaper or undergarment placed on her so she could go to the bathroom. His response...I need to see if i can get that approved. Once shift change happened at 7pm, the night nurse talked to me and asked me what was going on, etc. I explained the situation and she immediately said, ok, lets see what we can do. The next thing I know, she and the night technician were in the room greeting my mom and told her they were going to get her up and get her feeling better. They put the safety belt around her, told her exactly what they needed her to do and how they would help. She was able to slowly move her legs over the side of the bed because by this time, she was starting to come back to us. They got her up, on the potty and she was so relaxed and happy. They changed her sheet, fluffed her pillow, got her in a clean gown and got her put back into bed. After that, my mother was a different person. She wasnt in tears or pain any longer because Sue and I believe her name was Ujo or Oju took the time to help her instead of giving up. Oh, and we did find out that she did actually have a mild stroke. Do better!!

I was in a car accident today and waited 2 hours in the waiting room. Ultimately I decided to go home. I should have known better. My father was sepsis and they sent him home with a UTI diagnosis and called me the next day to bring him back, as he was sepsis. They also made him wait hours in the waiting room even though they hadnt diagnosed him properly the first time.

Please stay away from Methodist Hospital as a inpatient or out patient. Inpatient they charge you for a ton of unnessary procedures. Outpatient at 252 Matlock. I just left today. The staff was extremely unprofessional. I had my bottom being examined and they left the door open talking to each other. They covered me with iodine and did not wipe it off after the surgery and told me to my clothes on.

Understaffed for the volume of patients in the E R. The seating area had numerous patient warming blankets and pressure cuffs left behind.

Yesterday I took my 8 month old to the er at 4:30 , we waited patiently for hours as no one called our name . I went to the desk to see how many people where in front of us he told us a few . Well we was there long enough that the shift changed . I then asked the next man that was on call how much longer because at this point it was almost 8:30 . He told me our names weren t on the list . As a overstimulated mommy with a sick baby that was very devastating to hear ..we waited hours in the waiting room just to be told we weren t on the list . We where then moves to fast track er where they told us they called our names 3 times in the main waiting area which isn t true. When we finally got seen our visit felt very rushed . this visit was very unprofessional I won t be returning.
