By far the best wine vineyard in Lubbock! My fiancé and I first visited last summer and we loved it so much that we returned again this summer. Savannah is the greatest at explaining the tasting and the different notes of the wine. All of the wine is amazing and we always end up taking many bottles home. This visit, my fiancé ended up proposing in the vineyards. The perfect place and a must see in Lubbock!

Kind of slow for a Friday afternoon, indulged in West Texas breeze. Aubrey is very knowledgeable about the wines they have and super attentive! All the wines I tried are delicious and with complexity. Come show some love to local wines!

What a shameful experience last week. We took our visitors to showcase this winery, a very disappointing experience. The rookie attendant couldn t answer questions regarding wine ( tasting) plus we couldn t purchase wine if our choice after tasting fee. The bottles were ready for purchase cause missing labels. ( you figure) We didn t had a choice on tasting wine cause it was their pick of choice. Plus management were too busy gossiping and never appreciated nor approach customers. I had to wait over 5 minutes for someone to attend the wine bar while manager was at the end of wine bar. Dissatisfaction at its best.

Did a tasting on July 22, 2022 between 3:00p.m. And 4:00 p.m. There were three people working behind the counter and it was slow with the number of people there in the tasting room. It was sub par customer service that made it known that you were an inconvenience to them. Also, sub par wines. This place had better wines a few years ago. It s sad that it s going down hill. Don t waste your money here, there s better wine at other places in or near Lubbock with better customer service.

I had a membership and my account was charged I just never received the product. Now they want a bank statement and a receipt from them and I cannot find one email from them. I am disappointed in the way they handle their affairs. After several attempts to attain my product I received a call that my payment wasnt going through(because I replaced my card) now they wont release the product I already paid for. I would not recommend doing business with them.

The place is really enjoyable. It has certainly its charm. They have their own brand of locally produced wines, and you can see they actually pay a lot of attention to the details. The place is about 15 min drive from Lubbock, and I will recommend to go during the season the summer/fall season, we re everything is blooming and more lively. They have both indoors and outdoors areas, and even a private even room. They have limited options for Rose lovers, but they do have good wine selection, and an excellent Tempranillo. On the weekends the hold events, and live music which is very enjoyable. We asked about charcuterie boards to pair the wine, but since they had a food truck that day, it wasnt an option.

Very nice inside, but most people were sitting outside because it was a beautiful day. But the outside patio and furniture were very dirty. As the night fell, they failed to turn on the patio lighting. Such great wines and appetizers though. Sweet staff.

Needless to mention that wine has great healthy effects in our organs in moderation, of course. Cristy was amazing in responding many questions about environmental wine temperatures , difference in between red wines and more . Thank you Ms Cristy for your kindness and great costumer services and testy red wine!!!

After being members there for over 2 years we decided to cancel our memberships because I was deployed with the Army and my wife was pregnant and we had a lot of wine saved up. After I returned home, I was home for a month and got a call from Caprock about an awesome promotion for 3 wines for 30 dollars. I purchased 9 bottles and re-established our membership because I loved their wine. After a month of waiting on the wine, because we were told they were going to ship it to us, I called today to find out where my wine was just to be told they were sold out of the wine I ALREADY BOUGHT. I paid 100 bucks for wine that I never received, and they didnt think to set that wine aside or anything. Wine that was mine and I paid for, they sold again to someone else. I will be speaking to a lawyer soon, and we will be ending our membership for good. Also the manager we called had AWFUL customer service, just basically said well I dont know what to tell you, it is what it is. The wine is sold, so you can pick up the remainder and I can get you another package for 10 dollars more so now, I have to pay 10 dollars more for a package I may not even want, just because they messed up. Horrible management, it all went downhill after Rainy and Tim left.

My Husband and I were there March 6 - 8th 2015. Weather was great and Brad Paisley was in town. He and I toured Cap Rock. They were under construction and adding on some new rooms. Rooms for a Wedding and wedding guests, and a brides maids room! They were also fixing up their huge entertainment room at that time! The Owners Tommy and Janna English are super nice. Both are realtors. I had the opportunity to speak with Janna. She said that they are improving the place so that OLDER alumni can come and be with the other OLDER Alumni during Football games and or just come and plan a social to watch a game on the BIG SCREEN .... and enjoy some Good wine while you are there. Janna said she loves to throw a good party - and loves to host BIG social events. They have a lovely area when you come into the Winery that has nice tables and chairs to be comfortable in. They also have another room but we did not go inside - tis where the wine I think is made - (under construction at the time)... They have a NICE Bar area for tasting wines too! A nice young lady was there to give you all kinds of information about each tasting and how the Wine was made. (Im sorry, I forgot her name...) I am the wine drinker in my family - my Husband (not so much) he just not interested. I am not your SWEET wine person - I am more of the DRY wine side - however .. if there is one thats is NOT so sweet like candy sweet - I might try it! : ) My favorites are the 2011 Triple Threat and the 2012 Tempranillo. Triple Threat is Malbec, Shiraz, and Granach! YUMM! very smooth Tempranillo - well...its just good!!! Ummm... Yes, I am a red wine lover - I do like Whites - but I drink more red than anything else. The Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 was delicious - just like any cab to me but a Cap Rock Cab. 2011 Knuckle Bump was nice too. As all wineries - they all have their wine clubs - Cap Rock has one that anyone can join. You get to pick out what wines you like - and they will ship it to your house. If you want any of their wine glasses - no wine glasses for sale right now as they are in the middle of Change.. so when all the construction is done and the change over has subsided - I am sure their glasses will be for sale again. I live in Plano - Hubby went to Lubbock for School and he takes me to Cap Rock to taste and purchase Wine when we go out there for a game or two Fun place to see and taste their wine! I know I will be back there again some day! Thank you Cap Rock for letting us see your place even when under construction! Jill and Peter Fortenbaugh
