I understand a big and busy day on a Saturday of a TTU home game. But when you run out of chips so you don t get any for a good 20 minutes and then they do bring you some and they are so soggy and greasy they won t even scoop salsa that is unacceptable .

I love chuys, but they dropped the ball all the way. Ordered online to make it quick, got there when the estimated time was called they said it would be just a minute. But called again an about 30 minutes after the estimated time, and food still wasn t ready. Ended up sitting in the parking spot for 45 minutes, I get home and our quaso was hard because it already cooled off, had to throw our food in the oven to reheat it because it was actually cold. Like wait 45 minutes for warm food cool, but wait 45 minutes for food that s cold yeah not cool.

Chuys is always a fun little experience. The food is decent and so is the customer service. The bar is becoming dated and options are limited. Most continue to come for the chips ,salsa, and the jalapeno ranch dip.

The food was so tasty and fresh, our waiter was just fantastic!! He not only brought our drinks and food to the table when ready, he brought every sauce, extra napkins, he anticipated our needs before we could ask. He came to refill our drinks before we could ask too! Its such a casual atmosphere, you can laugh and talk, and not worry about disturbing your neighbor! We really enjoyed our visit!! Food was reasonable too!! I recommend Chuys for all who want a good meal in a relaxed place!! Parking: Plenty parking!! Kid-friendliness: Its a relaxed atmosphere, families with children were there, couples, business groups....its a great place for anyone!

Be prepared to eat some food with flavor!! The salsa was very spicy but had good flavor. I ordered shrimp tacos which were very good and wife ordered BIG beef burrito. Service was very quick even though they were packed.

Came on a Sunday at 1:30pm wasnt even busy waited 25 mins to be sat down. Another 15 to get drinks, and then our food took forever. The chips were old and our waiter kept disappearing on not just us but the other two tables next to us. We had to ask for Silverware and refills repeatedly. Even when we asked for the check and to go boxes he would disappear again. Havent been here in years probably wont come back.

If you are doing a to go/pick up order, be prepared to wait for a very long time. Never fails to take 20-45 minutes to get order. Up front greeters need some training. Last couple of times I ve entered, I ve had to ask for assistance. Stood there several minutes each time waiting for someone to acknowledge me but no one did until I spoke up.

Chuys is consistently good. Enchiladas are the best, salsa is so tasty. The outdoor tables needed to be cleaned but it is West Texas so dust and dirt are always present outdoors. There isnt a bad thing on the menu. One of the best places for TexMex food.

Though I had not remembered that it was Cinco de Mayo when we went, I realized it once I saw the crowd, and was told they were out of chips and beans before seating. We chose to sit in the bar area, as there was a table available. I ordered the special large Margarita, and we ordered. After about 20 minutes, they announced there were so.e chips available, and our waiter brought us a basket. When y husbands food arrived, they told me they were out of my order. So I got a menu to make another choice. When I reordered, I asked them if they could comp me a small margarita, and the waiter said he could ask. We were told they couldnt comp liquor, so I didnt get another drink. But the manager came by and comped us both of our dinners!!! Now thats customer service!!

This was my first time eating here and I would go back. I went at 11 a.m on a Friday and it was empty but around 12 p.m it got packed pretty quickly. I had the chuychanga, it was really filling. I also tried the churro bites with caramel sauce , they were so good. The only thing negative was the menus were about impossible to read because they were so faded.

Here for a birthday celebration and national margarita day. As usual this place was hopping and a 1 hour wait for 8 was ok. Wish we could have made reservations. Dinner was good with new items tried, and drinks were spot on. Salsa was good tonight also, so kudos to all, cooks, wait staff and hostesses.

Normally ..this is at the top of my list for dinner (maybe once or twice a month). I m accustomed to the occasional mixup or not so great cook of the night, but today was just awful. Half of my order was missing and the part I did receive was overcooked, but the main reason I m leaving this review is for the awful hostess and unapologetic manager who handed back the refund receipt. Upon entrance the hostess immediately announced there was a 25 min wait without even so much as a greeting or asking if she could assist as this was a mobile order but once asked if she could go check it she unhappily made her way back with the awful food which BY THE WAY was served in an aluminum foil pan with regular foil as a cover and the rice and beans COMBINED in a small container which is much less than what I get in a regular serving. Maybe they re short handed and we just happened to get the bottom of the barrel employees today but that s no excuse to act like this or to have a manager that doesn t know the meaning of an apology or good customer service.

I do enjoy going to Chuys to eat some food! The other day I went I ended up getting the mixed fajitas which for me its a change since I dont really care for beef much, but got the shrimp and chicken with it so was ok with it. The food came out good the waitress was really good! She gave me great service! The atmosphere is always packed so its always always always loud in there, but gotta deal with it when youre going to a popular restaurant! The biggest bummer they have is that they dont sell the Chile Rellenos anymore! If they were to have brought that back to the menu Im sure Id go there every time I went to Lubbock for my Dr appt!

Walked in and was seated within a few minutes. After being seated we waited about 15 minutes for a waiter/waitress to come and take our drink order. No one come by. There 5-6 waiters/waitresses in the west side room, but still no one stopped. There was a table right in front of us that the waitress was there 5 times before we finally got up and left.

I have always enjoyed the food here, and the service is always great. There was not a moment where our waitress was missing for extended periods of time or even let our soft drinks get low. I find that the tables are crammed in areas, and the noise level is pretty loud. I couldnt hear most of the conversation we were having with the other couple. The atmosphere is not for me, but for others, it may be alright if you like loud gatherings or crowds.

We were seated in the bar area first at a table. Three workers walked by and never said a word to us. 15 minutes later we got up and went to the front and asked if we could sit somewhere else. It took another 10 minutes to get anyone to acknowledge us. Dinner was served fast. I had to keep asking for a refill. The last refill took 10 to 15 minutes to get. I asked for no hot peppers on my food and it ended up being to hot to eat. Very disappointing!

Absolutely love the tomatillo deluxe sauce I could eat that by the bucket full if I was able. Met the nicest waitress ever there her name was Robin. I went to Chuys for a friends birthday dinner. I ordered something simple due to me being allergic is certain foods. After ordering our table waited an hour for our food. I hadn t eaten anything all day so I was excited and very hungry. Although to my disappointment, when receiving my food I immediately noticed my food order was wrong. I had picked off what I didn t like on the plate since a remake of my order would ve taken longer. The fajita meat was freezing cold and tasted disgusting. Later that night I was throwing up the food that I was served hours prior. I was very unhappy with this experience and will not be coming again. Worst Mexican food I ve ever tasted in my opinion.

Had a small issue with the food for the first time and it was easily and appropriately fixed. My complaint was we had to track down another waitress. We simply asked her to find our waitress because ours would look and run off. She didn t complain she simply asked what the problem was and we told her and she took matters into her own hand and took care of us. If Marcy is your waitress, you better ask for another one. She is a complete joke. Especially to be an older woman in her mid to late 40s. Of course she got all nice once we asked for a ticket. Kept giving my husband refills but never asked me. They need to get rid of this woman ASAP. This is our favorite place in Lubbock.

Crazy loud and unable to hear yourself think (of course we went on a Friday night right before a home Tech football game). I had the chicken flautas-food was semi cold and the flautas the worst food I ve had in a while. If they call the sauce on the flautas red sauce , they should be ashamed because it tasted exactly like marinara. Flautas were overcooked and burnt, chicken was clearly not fresh by the taste. Who the heck uses rotisserie chicken at a Mexican restaurant anyway??? Only thing good were the chips and creamed jalapeño dip. Their version of salsa is not salsa, that s essentially pico de gallo and most of our table didn t bother with it because of that. Will never eat here again if I have the choice! Went once before about a year ago and it was sub par then as well.

Love this place. I have never had anyone bad here. The service is great. Everyone is happy and ready to serve! It s a breath of fresh air to get great service and be in a fun clean environment. The food is awesome I d recommend the chicken fajita chicken salad or the chimichanga! Super good. Salad is a good size and will fill you up. Chimichanga could feed two people. It s a lot of food. And don t forget I get a margarita they are on point. Vegetarian options: Lots to choose from cheese enchiladas salad nachos and so much more. Parking: Huge parking lot shared with a few other restaurants.
