I m sorry but I could not hear the person trying to operate the front counter but they were not capable of speaking clearly or loud enough for people on the other side of the counter to hear it and thought it was funny that every time they tried to speak it was not legible or clear enough for them to take an order. Half of the tables were dirty and no one was interested in cleaning them for customers to use . Catfish and shrimp were both dripping with oil from the fryer . The fries were so salty I couldn t eat them and threw them away. I ordered some hush puppies and they were full of corn, I didn t order corn fritters.

Absolutely wonderful seafood! Grand loved the gumbo and the hush puppies were delicious! The tea was nice and fresh, which seems to be hard for most places. Prices were a little high, but it was really good though. I will definitely be returning again! Vegetarian options: Not much in the way of vegetarian. Parking: It shares a parking lot of a strip mall, so lots of room. Kid-friendliness: I hear the Mac and Cheese is really good, but they were out!

We have been eating at The Catch since it opened & have been delighted every time we have gone. Clean atmosphere, fresh food & great staff. Unfortunately, the last 2-3 times we have dined there we have noticed a decline in all. Went there on 06-27-24, we had trouble getting waited on due to low staff, girl at counter had to wait on window also so she never bothered to look out way, she was very frustrated. We had to clean our table to even eat there & the shrimp baskets were very greasy. Overall disappointed. We dont plan on going back, so sorry.

Cleanliness is an issue. Floors, doors, tables, all needed attention. The staff wiped a table down and did not even try to sweep or mop. I would hate to see how the back/kitchen area looked.

Worst experience ever bad service rude female waitress went there with my fiancée and thought I would have a great experience instead the female was rude and said you can only have 2 beers in a small cheap plastic whiskey cup the sign outside didn t say anything about 2 cups only free beer!!! my fiancée only had one little cup and supposedly the other man said there is no more cups he is sorry I m really disappointed to spend money here when I could of taken my money somewhere else my crab was not half of pound it was tiny and no meat barely only 2 small potatoes and one little corn in a big foil cover the dining area was making me feel uncomfortable because of the restaurant employees made us feel uncomfortable so we took it to go instead as well missing food I am never returning to this restaurant due to its rude staff and low quality in food.

First and last time I will be coming here. I have never spent so much money to still be hungry right after we started off as doing dine in and before we could even get the food we changed our mind to take out. This was due to the fact of the female server having the worst attitude I ve experienced at any restaurant. Me and fiancée went there to hope for a good date night had one beer from a little plastic whiskey glass went up for a refill and the female server had an attitude right away saying you can t have anymore then she walked off and someone else came by and stated you re aloud to have 3 but they didn t have any more cups available. So you go from being lied to from both people. Then we decided this is horrible let s go home and eat it. Thinest fish I ve had pretty sure it was half of one and dry shrimp was over good. Didn t get hush puppies and was missing a side. My fiancées crab barely had any meat in it at all. Will definitely not be returning firstly because of the attitude of the staff secondly the food

Went with a friend. Had never been, but friend said gator pieces were a lot smaller. Good service, good food for first time Update couple years later!! The food is good, good service (Aris, I believe was our OTs name), BUT! We went just for the crab special. Thats the sole reason we came here. And there were no crackers for the crab legs. We asked and were told there were none AFTER we had gotten our food. We were told that people had been throwing them away. I understand that, having worked at restaurants before, its not your employees fault, but we wouldnt have ordered crab or possibly even come here if we knew there were no crackers. HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO EAT CRAB WITH NO CRACKERS?! Had we been told this before wed had ordered, it wouldnt be 2/5 stars. But having no crackers with a special on crab is like having spaghetti with no fork. Until my next visit, this is my standing. Good food, good service, good times on getting food out, and good crew. But no crackers for crab brings this rating from a 4/5, to a 2. Either warn people before ordering crab, have employees collect trash for customers, or leave notes around the trashes that crackers are not to be thrown away. Unless you want your employees to dig in the trash. Either way, DO BETTER!!!

Couldn t get anyone to walk over and ask if I needed anything, just trying to get my to go order. Now the food. The boudin balls were shriveled up and crunchy like my fence posts. The okra was like biting into funyuns, the red dirt out here has more moisture than these. They must have changed the steamed corn out for dried kernels in the Hush puppies. Think I chipped a tooth on the second one. Now the seasoned fish...must have been all cooked in the same fryer oil at the same time. The boudin, okra and Hush puppies had all the seasoning, just fish and batter. Never thought I would eat jello flavored fish(should be a jellybean flavor.) They managed to dry out all the sides and app but leave the fish a fighting chance to swim in the ocean once more. More alive than cooked. Place has pretty much given up on effort.

Super excited to try this place after sooo many referrals of the delicious food. The food was SUPERB!!! But the customer service was Horriable, the young lady seemed to be upset or not happy to be at work, we asked what she recommended since it was our first time at the establishment she said the combo basket And they was it and stared at us while we looked at the menu .. we ordered grab our drinks (she didn t even offer if we wanted drinks with our order. (SMH) we grab a table and the tables were dirty and greasy we advised her of it and she gave us wet towel to wipe down our tables. DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE RETURING to dine in MAYBE to pick up and order via the drive tru. Sadly disappointed.

Fish Friday, so I ordered from The Catch. I ordered the medium catfish combo, which comes with two pieces of catfish, french fries, and hush puppies. I also ordered the kids catfish meal, which only comes with one piece of catfish, french fries, and hush puppies. It definitely was good fish, except the catfish was moist and a bit mushy, so it could have been fried a bit longer. Since the texture was not perfectly crispy, I didnt enjoy it that much. I write this review only, having tried the fried catfish and fries. I can say without doubt that the Catch makes some of the best catfish in town, and the fries are really good, too. The catfish is lightly breaded, perfectly seasoned, non-greasy with a deliciously flaky inside with a lightly crispy outer crust. I would recommend it to anyone who has a taste for excellent catfish.

1st time eating at The Catch, was expecting something more like lost Cajun and and walked into a long john silver. Food was OK, had 1 fried oyster that was nothing but batter and couldnt tell the difference between the catfish and whitefish but not bad for fast food. Only 1 beer available and it was other than cold all 6 Oz of it. Service was well long john silver. But they wanted a tip for taking my order! Not going to happen. Update: Thank you Kevin, but its not necessary. Maybe it was just a bad day, I understand dispensers malfunction at times. It was the issue of the sticky floors not being cleaned up after notifying two employees, that was the problem. Another customer had notified them as well. Thank you for responding. We arrived on a Monday, about 15 min. after opening. Placed our order and the plates came out in a reasonable amount of time. The fish was hot and cooked perfectly. The tarter sauce dispenser was not installed properly, and it sprayed sauce all over my husband, the counter and the floor. I notified an employee, and asked for a wet towel to clean the counter. She wiped the counter dry with a paper towel, not cleaning the floor but went back to work behind the counter. I told a second employee, the floor was still not cleaned when we left. There were only about 6 customers there. All the floors were dirty, we might expect it after a busy lunch hour but we were there right after they opened and no one made any attempt to clean while we were there. We have been to this location before and loved it, but cant go back to a dirty cafe when there are so many here to choose from.

Upon walking in I was expecting a full service restaurant atmosphere. It was an order at the cashier and seat yourself. After placing order we sat down and had our appetizers on the table within a couple of minutes. Or meals came a couple minutes later. Everything was piping hot and fresh. Ordered the catfish basket with fries and a brownie and catfish with crawfish with read beans and rice and key lime pie. The fish was mushy and not catfish. Tasted more like cod. The fried crawfish had human hair in it. The red beans were served sans rice. I took the basket of fish and crawfish back to the staff. They were friendly and apologetic but said they had run out of rice then asked if I just wanted beans. I declined and opted for fries. They quickly prepared another basket for me. The fish was more mushy and liquid squeezed out of it. The fried crawfish and fries were decent. The sweet tea was sour. The first brownie had open plastic wrap but was replaced. The key lime pie was a no bake knockoff that had little flavor. One of the male kitchen workers had stringy long hair with no hair net. Lastly, we sat at the cleanest dirty table. Paid over $43.00 for a meal that wasn t worth $10. Long John silvers would have been better and they are nasty.

Hot & Fresh. Stopped by to fibd out if there was any relation with the old Shrimp Galley. Sadly they said no. Ordered kids chicken strip meal anyway. Was pleasantly surprised with fresh and hot strips. The hush puppy was delicious. Fries were ok but didn t taste fresh cut. Overall good place to stop for some fresh cooked food.

My husband and I decided to try The Catch on 1/5 for a quick lunch date. It s a walk up, order and seat yourself restaurant. I ordered the boil and he ordered the shrimp tacos with fried okra. The food came out in a decent time frame from when we ordered. The food was flavorful and we enjoyed it. Prices were also affordable. We ll be back!

We had grilled catfish and sausage, and fried catfish and shrimp. They were wonderful. Fish is juicy, tender, and very fresh tasting. Fried shrimps can go head to head with the best Japanese tempura shrimp, they were tender and succulent. The grilled fish had a very nice Cajon flavor, and most importantly, all the catfish served had no trace of the strong fishy taste when they arent absolutely fresh.

Not really what I expected. I had never been and was really excited to try it. They have off brand condiments; the ranch was nasty, and the ketchup was off putting. The side of veggies were cooked amazingly, and the blackened chicken was good. But not a fan of fried everything. I had the salad with blackened chicken literally lettuce and chicken, as I stated earlier, the ranch was not good at all. My husband had some scampi with minimal seafood and kiddo had popcorn shrimp, and he enjoyed it. We probably wont return.

First time here and it was great. Had fried shrimp which was big and plump, fried in a nice crunchy breading. Default side is fries but you can substitute anything on their sides menu (coleslaw, red beans & rice, corn & potatoes, okra). They have fried & boiled seafood (shrimp, catfish, crabs, crawfish) but also pasta & salad. Kids menu available. Has a large covered outdoor dining area with picnic tables. Just know it isnt a fancy date night restaurant; the layout inside is more like a fast food restaurant. The food is definitely better than the usual seafood fast food place. Parking: Plenty of parking Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu, and outdoor dining area would give little ones room to move some.

Ive been twice. The first time was really tasty, but this past Friday the food was so salty! One of the employees was working the line in her house shoes...and even though they close at 10pm they had basically shut the place down. The tartar sauce was picked up, the other side was mopped and blocked off, the dessert fridge was empty except a few banana puddings...it was like they wanted us to leave or take it to go. There was no ketchup on the tables, but my main complaint was all of that salt! Ill give it one more try. I know you guys wanna leave but close means close dont make me feel like I shouldnt come by especially chucking out that kind of money for casual dining style seafood.

This place has really went downhill, which is very disappointing because I really enjoyed their food when the first opened. My husband and I took my mother n law to eat there today and to make a really long story short, they were out of everything. Including the free beer. The margarita machine was frozen, and half of the drinks in the fountain were also out of order. We ordered 2 crab boils along with an extra pound of crab and our total was $98.00. It was SOOOO not worth it. Besides that the waitresses were horrible. We literally watched them stand around behind the counter eating the whole time we were there. Definitely will not return. Such a disappointment.
