We have been to the Sabrosos location on 34th street MANY TIMES. Up until todays visit, we enjoyed every experience there. After today,we will NOT be back! Our server came to our table (2 people) with an attitude of impatience, asking in a curt voice what do you want to drink, then same curt voice what do you want to eat. When we asked for queso, she wrote it down, and never said a other word and SHE NEVER CAME TO OUR TABLE AGAIN. Another server brought out our drinks, salsa, chips and queso. And STILL ANOTHER SERVER finally got our meal to us, after an HOUR wait. While our original server was MUCH TOO BUSY to wait on us, she managed to happily wait on table of 8, and actually smiled and CONVERSED WITH THEM. I guess we didnt look profitable enough to her. Well never mind that, as we will not be back. We paid $42.17 for a second rate meal AND were treated RUDELY. I have seen this happen before when a restaurant opens another location and the original location suffers. Im sure the management isnt concerned about anything but the $$!

Mimosa time!! The Sundays special of $1 mimosas are always good. However, the mimosa special is only offered at the 34th street location. We ordered the new entree called the barbacoa scramble. It comes with shredded barbacoa, eggs, tomatoes, onions, pinches of cilantro, and hashbrowns. Also, a side of tortillas and pico de gallo. I personally had a horrible experience here at this restaurant. When I walked in I didn t see any authenticity but I still gave it a chance because who am I to say who knows a thing or two about Mexican food. I was seated just fine but the problem started with the waitress I m not sure of her name but she happened to be the only blonde waitress there and that s the only thing I remember about her everyone else had brunette hair. She appeared to be friendly only to which I discovered was a front to her biased and discriminatory ways! We ordered the special which was $1 tacos (5), wings and a quesadilla people that were seated after us got there food first which all happened to be of Caucasian decent and were in the same waitress s section. We waited close to two hours for our food and when it arrived my tacos were ice cold which I have NEVER experienced before. I believe she let or food sit out before bringing it to us. Not only were they cold but there was no seasoning in the chicken and my corn tortillas were raw. The restaurant was not busy so I do not understand why I was treated this way. My only conclusion is that I happened to get a waitress who was racist. I m sad to say I will never be taking my family here again. I will gladly pay for full priced tacos some where else. I m not here to argue but to simply state my experience. Oh and a small queso was $8 which I ve also never seen before.

Staff are kind and respectful, Izzy is a pleasure to be around! The food is good and the drinks are better, more relaxed than the college bars, similar to a hole in the wall bar which are my favorite. My husband and I went there Saturday evening, the food was great, the staff appeared to enjoy their jobs, clean restaurant. We will be back! Queso with beef was great, chips were fresh, iced tea was fresh, I had a chilton- it was quite good. My husband gets carne guisado everywhere we go, he said it was great, choice of refried or charro beans, I had a taco and chicken enchilada. All very good, portions are quite large. All combo plates come with sour cream and guacamole- I love guacamole and I thought it was good. We will go back. Also very reasonably priced.

I was door dashing and I have never experienced the bad service and wait time as I did here. I had to unassign from the order because it was cutting into my dash time. For a restaurant that was only waiting 2 tables, neither server seemed to care or be of help. The only time I was communicated with was when they asked who I was picking up for when I first got there. They had only one cook when we arrived. Took 45 minutes before we got our meal. My sister in law got chicken enchilada plate. This morning, she called and said that she got sick. We have her leftovers & threw it away. I order the taco salad. Got the meat, slices of avacado, and sour cream. But no lettuce or tomatoes. Meat was greasy. Only good about it was the taco shell. This was my first at this establishment. At first I wasnt very impressed. My son and I stood by the register for 2 or 3 minutes. Before being told for us to find a table. After setting down it took the waitress another 10 minutes to Tae our order. At this point I was not a happy person. But when our food came out my heart smiled. The food was well worth the wait. I typically order from here regularly because it s fairly close to where I work, I always order my husband and I the same thing EVERYTIME. I called to place my order to go, like I always do - the girl answers the phone and says I m not taking your order unless you pay before hand. Never have I been told that, I always place my order to go, what made this time different. She proceeded to ask if I still wanted to place my order and I said I guess not, I m paying with cash. I wasn t trying to drive there just to have to wait on my food for 30+ minutes she quickly changed her mind and said I ll go ahead and take it. Why the sudden change of heart? I order, pick up my food drive home, and I m greeted with burnt chicken strips, NO GRAVY, and my husband got the enchiladas, I specifically asked for no vegetables and of course there was vegetables the container was melted on the bottom and it dumped in the bag. The manager was dismissive about it and acted like it wasnt a big deal when I called to complain. Ultimately they remade it, but not the point. The level of disrespect, after the amount of money I ve spent here? Yeah, no. Never will I come here again. I m

If I could leave a zero star review, I would. My family and I go here regularly but lately it just gets worse and worse. Today was the absolute most terrible experience I have had there. First off, it took the waitress 15 minutes to even get our drink order. Next while in the middle of placing our order and talking, she walked away to go take the next tables drink order. She didn t come back to finish our order until she took the table next to us their drinks and got their order. Then the food came out completely wrong, undercooked, and cold. When we spoke to the manager he argued with us. He said word for word. the pieces of meat I saw in your plate were raw but we slow cooked the meat for an hour . Then he proceeded to argue with my fiancé about how she didn t specify she wanted the red sauce for her tamale plate THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO COME ON IT. Please keep in mind the two tables next to us also got raw food and their orders were wrong. The manager argued with them as well. Then when we left, I called to speak to the GM or owner and kept getting hung up on by the bar tender that answers the phone. NEVER RETURNING.

Showed up at 9pm and were told immediately just to let you know we close at 10pm but not sure when the back closes . Didn t bring menus and when we asked for them we were asked if we really needed them or if we were just getting tacos. A drink was accidentally spilled on the table and a member of our family, when we asked for napkins they were brought to the table but not given to us, the waiter walked away with them knowing it was an urgency with the spilled drink. When we asked for the extra napkins again the napkins were put in the face of one of our family members and rudely told that was what they were doing even though the napkins were still in the waiters hands. The waiter was rude from the beginning and was giving major attitude. We asked to speak with a manager and their response was that they been here since 11 As grown adults and head of households we provide for family, that s why we went out to eat in the first place. This situation caused us as a family to get up and walk out where the manager and waiter proceeded to very rudely and sarcastic said well then bye have a good night . This is the worst experience we ve ever had at this establishment and have never walked out of an restaurant as a family before until tonight

We attempted to have dinner at your establishment and were greeted very rudely by our waiter letting us know immediately that the closing time was 10pm. We arrived at 9pm (an hour before close). We were not given menus upon arrival and were asked if we wanted them or if we were only getting tacos with major attitude. A drink was accidentally spilled on the table and on one of the members of our table, napkins were asked for with urgency, once extra napkins were brought they were not given to the table but taken away. Once we asked again for napkins, the waiter was very rude about giving them to us and put the napkins right in front of the face of another member of our table. A complaint was made to the manager where we were told that the staff had been there all day (as if that s an excuse to be astronomically rude to paying customers). We asked for a new waiter and were told ummmm I don t know . This used to be one of our favorite places to eat and this situation caused us to get up and walk out (which we have never done as a family) due to being treated so poorly after a long day ourselves. As walking out we were very sarcastically told to have a good evening . We are a family of 6 that will always take care of our wait staff if treated like we are actual humans. At the end of the day we are paying customers and should have been treated as so but instead we were treated as if we were not worth their time.

Service was horrible, waited nearly 20 minutes for service, then an hour for our food to arrive. When food arrived, both orders were wrong, and when we complained, the shift manager gave us attitude. Usually the food and service are good but on 3/30/23 it was bad enough that I probably wont return.

The food was very good and as close to TexMex as you can get. The prices were right and a schooner top shelf margarita was $7.50. You can t beat that! Now hears the bad stuff the poor girl that was serving had the entire restaurant to herself. Mistake on a Sat 1630. She did the best she could with the situation. Never saw a mgr. I was charged .99 for a few onions that were sprinkled on my enchiladas. This was our second visit to Sabroso & the issues with service were the same the first time. All in all we will go back but not on a Sat afternoon. They say the third time is the charm!

The service was good for the first part of 2022 since I began coming every Sunday after church, but now I have noticed that they are more concerned with the bar and the customers in the bar, compared to the customers who come only for food, have noticed that the food flavor has declined. Last time I was in my wife and I ordered fried mushrooms as appetizer and never got them until we reminded the waitress then it still took 30 minutes longer to receive the order so I denied the order because we were done eating dinner
