Had them cater our meeting yesterday and BEANS WERE BURNED. ENCHILADAS were definitely nothing to brag about, but eatable. Dont recommend the catering, in house food has always been good. First time here and food was delicious, we didn t have to wait at all although the restaurant was full of customers. Service was awesome too, I don t remember his name but he was very attentive with our table. We ordered large Menudo and Barbacoa plate (pictures posted too) Kid-friendliness: Our neighbor table had a little girl and they got special chair for her.

I usually have good reviews on restaurants but this one is not good. Went in for a bite,we got seated got our chips and hot sauce two glasses of water and looked over the menu. Our waitress never came back ,we waited for 20 minutes till we finally got up to leave. I walked up to the young man to pay for the water and chips he said no charge and asked why we were leaving. I told him the reason, he apologized and left. And they werent busy either only three other tables were full . Maybe Ill be back in the future.

We ate here for lunch, never been here, so my evaluation was ok to try the food is good the service is very good and they are very attentive, professional and friendly. I had the carne guisada, and my wife had the huevos rancheros. Bathrooms are clean as well as the dining area. The salsa is good but thin and kinda watery. The flour tortillas are fresh, so they have to be eaten pretty quickly. Otherwise, they get hard on the edges. Very good prices for the amount of food you get. Its worth a try, many good choices of food. The rice is ok, the beans are good but the carne guisada is great, so tender.

This is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Lubbock. The chilaquiles verdes are so delicious and the asada tacos are so flavorful! Also, chiles rellenos and camarones a la ola are amazing! Enjoy!

As a black person or ANYONE beyond someone who is hispanic, I advise you not to spend your money at this rotten, sewage smelling foul place. Aracely spent her time serving hispanic customers, while ignoring my black mother. Then, when my mom finally got her to take her order for a large champurrado, Aracely spent time chatting with hispanic customers and chatting with them about her child. All the while my champurrado sat in the kitchen for 20 MINUTES. Then, when returned and told Aracely that my mom ordered a LARGE champurrado, she acknowledged that my mom did, but that they dont have large champurrados. When I showed her proof that I have ordered large champurrados, then Aracely says, well, we do, but it is more money, I suppose implying that as black people we could not afford the price my church family, work family, nor anyone else I know will EVER attend this sewage reeking racist garage place again. I requested her name and she refused to give her name. Then for her to have the nerve to lie on my mom. This is not over. I will make sure everyone knows about this racist trash.

Maurice green I was there when all this drama happened! The handler and I put it in quotes because she doesnt even have the face to be a handler! He did not come out to resolve what happened, he treated his employee very badly and I know that her name is Rubí! Incredible that the owners leave this type of people as incapacitated managers for a place like this. They have a terrible attitude and Rubí, the supposed manager, went to hide in the kitchen and never came out to solve the problem! I would like to let some kind of authority know about this since actually The girl is a minor and is abused at work, I would say even exploited! If anyone knows where I can file a complaint so they can help this girl, let me know and let that manager file a complaint for labor abuse! And a chubby waitress with glasses whose name I asked and they told me her name was Luz was also FORCING to pay for the food when she is only the waitress and not the cook! Another proof of labor abuse, injustice!

I finally found a mole in Lubbock thats delicious! The balance of heat and flavor was spot on. A member of my party ordered that, another did enchiladas suizas, and I had the tres amigos which was a chille rellano, hard taco, and cheese enchilada. The only partial negative thing Id say is that the enchiladas suizas needed more sauce. The chips and salsa were great. The atmosphere and service were friendly and welcoming.

The Mar y Tierra restaurant is a spacious, illuminated place, with its large glass windows, the customer service is good and efficient, its hygiene is good, its breakfast is abundant, fresh and very well cooked, I recommend the liver with onions, exquisite ,with its fries, its refried beans, abundant onions and its fried eggs, The prices are good, we will return! The food was amazing! The salsa with the chips are homemade tasting. Prices are seemingly fair. The atmosphere was nice, pretty clean, some seats have wear and tear on them. Our waitress was nice and pleasant, but beyond that, the service was mediocre. Didnt come by to check for refills. They had a salsa bar that we didnt know about or (wasnt told about) till the end of the meal, and saw a few customers go up and use it. There is nothing indicating that it exists. Just wish the waitress would have mentioned it is all. Maybe update the menus to include it, pr some signage. Parking: Slow service day in the afternoon so plenty of parking.

Went for lunch on a Friday and it was not busy at all. Several empty tables. Waited 30 minutes for our cheese enchiladas and my husband ordered his with green sauce and they had none. We would have said something but did not have another 30 minutes to wait for our food. Also the food was not hot. The only reason I gave 1 star is because the guacamole was good. I let the waitress know and all she had to say was oh I didn t notice. No wonder the place was empty!

The problem came when they brought the plates back with the original pancakes and sausage covered in busted runny yoke and egg. Staff is not very helpful and inconvenience by your request. The one thing you will notice are the floors. They are really dirty. I brought it to someones attention and they said ok. But nothing was done. Food is ok but not worth the price. As we are walking out there were 2 servers on their phones as there were atleast 4 tables to be cleaned and still no one would sweep the floors. If your restaurant is dirty in the dinning area how clean is their kitchen.

Chicken fajita nachos are fantastic. The wife and I love this place and have been regular customers. Even tho we moved we still stop here every time we come to lubbock.

The quality of the fajitas for 2 was not what we expected for a Mexican Food restaurant. Some of the tortillas that went with the fajitas for 2 were dry. The pork that was on the fajitas for 2 was dry and not tender. We did not (could not) eat it. Not much steak on the fajitas for 2. Enough for 1 person The barbacoa plate and enchilada plate were good. My grandson enjoyed the seafood plate he ordered. It looked good. Waitress was able to take care of us in a timely manner.
