Beautiful property, super friendly staff, clean room that was well appointed and comfortable. Really enjoyed the live music while dining on the patio at the restaurant. Our server was fantastic, very attentive and friendly like everyone we encountered during our stay. I wish we d had an opportunity to sit by one of the outdoor fire pits and sip a glass of wine but it was a quick pit stop for us on a two day road trip. We had a wonderful experience! If we are ever back in Lubbock we will definitely stay again!! Rooms: Very functional, clean, and well appointed. Loved the large size refrigerator!! Comfy bed and larger than normal bathroom was very much appreciated!!! Food and drinks: Very good food and great service at the on-site restaurant.

Wanted to amend this review and say manger called me after my stay and profusely apologized for the incident now this rarely hope a so kiddos to the hotel we will be back We stay at this place at least 6-10 times a year it s always hard to get any utensils at all even when you have room service. But tonight all the glasses in the room were the big styrofoam ones. I called the front desk and asked for them to bring us 2 of the plastic ones we usually have for the wine that they sell in the room fridge ! . He said and very sarcastically , we don t have plastic ones only styrofoam or glass. I said okay then can I get the glass ones. He then said sorry at this time (438 pm) it s only possible to get some from the bar. I wait for that to be offered nothing silence. Okay then goodbye. It s a great hotel on most aspects but it has way grown out of the bargain basement type service we get usually at the rates they now charge. Either charge less for me having to service myself or be able to bring one measly glass up and include some silver-wear and napkins with a room service order.

An absolute great stay, this hotel is likely the star of Lubbock accommodations. The property is located downtown so the parking could be better but they do offer valet with some self parking. The attention to detail at this property is probably the best attribute, the grounds are impeccable, I will stay again.

I was super excited to find this hotel with great reviews for us to stay at during move in weekend for Tech. We stayed in room 220. There was a horrible smell throughout the whole stay. We let the manager know soon after we entered the room. He said they were totally booked and couldnt move our room. He tried to compensate us but we all slept horribly. Theres another review about this same room so doesnt sound like the problem has been solved. If you stay here, ask for any room but 220. The rest of the hotel is lovely and smells very nice. The restaurant was great and the courtyard was well maintained.

Great hotel in downtown Lubbock. They were extremely helpful and friendly my entire stay. Really cool outdoor seating areas. Very family friendly. They had a live band Saturday night near the pool. The restaurant and bar had excellent food and cocktails. The bed and pillows were super soft. Huge stand-up shower with a bench, with lots of pressure. Free MAX and Netflix on the tv. The fridge is also fully stocked with every kind of drink, and snacks are also available in the room. I stayed during the summer, but I bet its nice during the winter sitting by the outside firepit and fireplace. Highly recommend Cotton Court in Lubbock, TX.

So much good about this place from its stylishness, its buzz, friendly staff. But when the housekeepers only turned down the beds and disregarded full wastebaskets, towels left on the bathroom floor and a toilet bowel with a ring on it, that pretty much ensured I won t be back. When I told management about it via their solicited review after I left, I never heard back, not even a simple we re sorry, we messed up, which suggests a real disregard toward guests with a legitimate complaint. They apparently only seek compliments and good reviews.

I recently stayed at Cotton Court Hotel in Lubbock, and it was fantastic. The rooms are clean and gorgeous with rustic charm, vaulted ceilings, a full-size fridge, convenient parking options, comfortable beds, and luxurious linens. The large shower was a highlight. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, making me feel right at home. We loved it so much we extended our stay. The hotels beautiful courtyard is a standout feature, offering a serene spot to relax by the fire pit or take a dip in the pool. It feels like an oasis in Lubbock. The location is just minutes from Texas Tech University, with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby. Overall, Cotton Court Hotel provides a comfortable and stylish stay with top-notch hospitality. This hotel will be my first choice when visiting Lubbock. Highly recommended!

Our favorite hotel in Texas!! Everything very thought out. Love the cubed ice bags just outside the room and they provide a bucket for your drinks as well. Inside secret, during the summer they have a Sunday Funday pool party from 1PM-5PM with DJ. Great local beers on tap and we loved the food. If there was one thing that I would change about the hotel would be that the swimming pool doesn t close at 9 PM at night and it would close at 10 PM at night instead during the summer, I did bring this up with the front desk and it is something they are considering soon.

This was a great place to stay! They have thought about all the little things that often get overlooked in hotels. The cups in the rooms are disposable instead of worrying about whether or not a cup is clean. They placed them on the liner for the ice bucket instead of just placing them down on the counter. The beds headboard is metal instead of being fabric (fabric in my mind is worse in my opinion - which usually holds more dust, etc.). All these little things alongside West Texas hospitality really put them at the top! Great job! I do wish the pool was open past 9 PM in the summer. That was the only bad thing I could say.

This hotel will be hit or miss for you depending on why youre staying there. If youre staying there just as a means to sleep, then you should pick another hotel. The rooms themselves are overpriced for a hotel room alone. You can get a comparable room at pretty much any of the chain hotels for $20-30 less and they will be just as nice as youll find here. The rooms were very clean and they were as nice as you would find at any of the other chain hotels, they are just overpriced for the number of beds and size beds you get. We paid $150(Plus like $25 in fees/taxes) a night for 2 full size beds which I would typically pay $100-120 for. Also, there was no continental breakfast, you have to pay for breakfast, so add that to the expense as well. Typically a continental style breakfast is included in most hotels. The rooms were stocked with drinks, snacks, and alcohol, and they were very proud of them... $4 for a canned drink. We didnt consume any of the drinks/snacks in the room, but were still charged $5. I contacted them and told them that was in error and they said they would refund the money. Annoyed with the hassle, but mistakes happen and hopefully it was an honest mistake. Customer service was extremely nice. We asked them for extra pillows and they had room service bring them to us. The people at the front desk were very nice, even offering a beer(Im sure that would have been $10) when we checked in. They had valet parking and the guys working the valet would oftentimes open the door for people going to check in. They didnt have much parking directly at the hotel, but they had quite a bit on the street around the hotel. They also had access to an adjacent lot and a parking garage to park(we just parked on the street). Now, for those that this will be a huge hit for... if youre going on a weekend(Fri-Sun) and youre the type that wants to enjoy some live music and maybe some drinks, this is probably for you. They have a courtyard with a pool, outdoor fireplace, quite a bit of seating, cornhole etc and there were quite a few people out in the courtyard enjoying the music and such. They had a live band Friday night and then another on Saturday(the one on Saturday did shut down early, but I think that was because there was bad weather in the area and the band was outside). There is a restaurant on site at the hotel that we did not try, so not sure how good the restaurant is. The courtyard is the real selling point of this hotel, so if thats something you would enjoy, then this is the hotel for you. The area the hotel was in seemed fine, there were some homeless people at the corner of the block its located on, but they didnt bother anyone. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance and a couple tattoo shops as well. The area it was located in seemed kind of deserted though other than the hotel. Maybe it was just because it was a weekend, but it seemed a lot of the buildings around it were maybe vacant shops. Ultimately, we liked the hotel, but being that we typically book hotels just for sleeping, we would probably go elsewhere. If we were looking for the live band and courtyard and such, we would definitely go there again.

Very clean and well kept hotel. About 8-10 walk from bars restaurant. Although they have a decent spot for early drinks & meals on site. Pool and grounds are beautiful. Service is friendly and prompt. The gal that checked me in was full of recommendations and knowledge of the area. Overall no complaints. The fridge in my courtyard room was stocked better than the fridge at my house. Snack basket is too convenient. I came back from the bar with a friend and we tore through it like it was our last supper. No idea how much extra any of it costs but I m sure it was worth it. They have live music come on occasion. Ask about times and best seating. Check in w the restaurant for music details. Cocktails are 7/10. Food is 7/10. Complimentary beer & water upon checkin to get you started off right. Extra $30 early checkin fee. Usually about 50% capacity through the week and close to 70% on random weekends. Prob the only hotel I d stay in while visiting Lubbock. Bring your swimsuit. And a pair of shorts. Cornhole, jenga & outdoor wood fire in the courtyard areas.

UPDATE: I ve now stayed here several times. It s a very nice hotel, but DO NOT stay here on a weekend night when the weather is nice. Right now it s nearly midnight and we re inside our room listening to screaming children running around and playing in the courtyard outside our door. A wedding AND a family reunion, apparently (this hotel hosts lots of groups for special events). The parking is an issue, too - not enough of it, and if you have to use valet parking it s $20 per night. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We only stayed one night, but very much enjoyed it. The shower was AMAZING, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. It was too cold to enjoy the courtyard, but it looks like a fun place to hang out in nice weather. The onsite restaurant is nice, with an eclectic menu (we had a very good pizza). The only thing that was in any way an issue is that many of the snacks and beverages listed on the minibar menu for sale were not actually in the room. We made sure to tell the front desk clerk when we checked out so that we would not be charged later for the missing items. But overall I highly recommend this hotel. Rooms: Spacious and comfortable. Love the SMEG fridge (with a freezer). It has room for just about anything you want to put in it even with the for-sale drinks stocked in it. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was WONDERFUL. The door to the bathroom is a sliding barn door type.

My son said it s the favorite hotel he s stayed at in his whole life! The ambiance at night was just incredible with multiple fire pits, restaurant/bar, and yard games. There s so much room that there were small groups socializing throughout the courtyard. Everyone was enjoying themselves! It was so nice to have a relaxing outdoor space. When we went up to our room there were no outside sounds and the bed was so comfortable. The fire pits were also going when we woke up in the morning. So nice to have coffee there on the sofa next to the outdoor fireplace. The staff was the other highlight, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. However, there was some mold in the shower, dust on the ceiling fan blades & HVAC return air vent which for my allergies wasnt the greatest. My biggest issue is the parking. My husband and I were passing through Lubbock on a road trip home back to Austin. We have never been to Lubbock before, so I based our booking on online ratings, photos and customer comments. I am happy to say everything I read and saw online was absolutely accurate. I was completely blown away by how luxe this hotel is. We actually even put it in our Google Maps Favorite Hotels list. My husband even said hed like to make a weekend trip back to Lubbock just to stay here again. Pros: - Beds are comfortable - A/C works REALLY well! Thats a big deal in Texas. - Bathroom is enormous - The toiletries smell amazing - Loaded minibar. You get an entire fridge and full bottles of wine and beer!! - It doesnt matter if you stay on the courtyard or in an interior room. Guests can use the entire courtyard space. - I love the cozy fireplace in the Lobby. I could honestly just sit in there with a glass of wine and be happy as a clam. Cons: - The only issue we ran into was we got charged for something from the minibar (gummy bears) that we never used. We expected to be charged for one of the waters we took from the minibar, but when I saw my final bill, I noticed the amount was like double what it shouldve been. So, upon further investigation I realized it itemized the gummy bears. Having said this was a con, I will say the pro was the hotel didnt call me a liar when I refuted the charge. So, I really appreciate them removing the charge so easily. I was anticipating a fight. But I was happily proved wrong. My only advice would be to examine closely your final minibar bill. We give Cotton Court a 10/10!!

Our stay at Cotton Court Hotel in Lubbock, Texas, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped into our room, we were impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail. The rooms were not only comfortable but also beautifully designed, creating a relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The hotels environment is simply awesome, with a perfect blend of modern elegance and Southern charm. Its evident that a lot of thought has been put into creating a space that guests can truly enjoy and unwind in. One of the highlights of our stay was the restaurant slash bar with live music. The ambiance was fantastic, and we loved the live music performances that added a special touch to our evenings. The food and drinks were delicious, and the service was top-notch. Speaking of amenities, Cotton Court Hotel has everything you could ask for and more. From the well-equipped fitness center to the refreshing pool area, every aspect of our stay was enhanced by the hotels excellent amenities. The staff at Cotton Court Hotel were truly awesome! They were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure we had a memorable stay. Their hospitality and professionalism added to the overall positive experience. In conclusion, Cotton Court Hotel is a definite must-stay when visiting Lubbock, Texas. The combination of clean and comfortable rooms, awesome environment, live music, great amenities, and amazing staff make it stand out as a premier accommodation choice in the area. We would probably never go to Lubbock again unless its for a stay at this exceptional hotel. Room for improvement (this is me being nitpicky): Firstly, enhancing WiFi security would be beneficial for guests who prioritize online privacy and security during their stay. Additionally, addressing the parking situation to ensure more convenience and accessibility for guests would be appreciated. Rooms: Check over all review. Food and drinks: Check overall review.

Hope you find it as enjoyable as I have. PS. I do travel quit a bit for work, and this location has made traveling to Lubbock a pleasure.

The receptionist greeted us with a smile and was quick to get us our room. We dined at the restaurant on site ,The Midnight Shift which was so convenient after a long day of travel and the food was amazing and well as the staff. Simply, Thank You!!! We will stay again.

My husband and I go to Lubbock about twice a year to experience a large(r) town in which to shop, dine, and just get away. This was our first time staying at Cotton Court. We were greeted by friendly front desk staff, offered a beverage, and physically directed to our room. Our room was very nice and clean. For me, the bed was a little too firm, but my husband said it was perfect. We will be back! However, next time we will come back in the spring or summer to enjoy the courtyard, where there are hammocks, a fireplace, and plenty of greenspace to enjoy.

UPDATE: When you read my review know that without me asking for anything for the few short comings of my experience, the hotel reached out to me and took steps on their own to make things right/better. Again, you have to appreciate these kinds of actions, it certainly shows they care and want to improve and want people to enjoy their stay. Cotton Court I appreciate your kind gesture and efforts!!! Rooms: So here was my only negative part of the experience. The room could have been a bit cleaner. There were stains on the carpet that could be removed with a bit more than just a vacuum. In the bedding I found small pieces of women s fake eyelashes(noticed on the second night) and the first night had to call for replacement towels because one large towel had long strands of black hair (not mine) wrapped in the rolled towel. A second had what looked like small dried blood stains. When I called the person brought up replacements quickly but only seemed slightly interested in the issue. Lastly, I had to rinse the shower out before use there was the same type of black hair in shower. Once rinsed it was fine. Now to finish on a positive note feel of room was great, great finishes and the water pressure of the shower/shower head was outstanding. One of the best water pressure showers I ve had in any hotel and in any city; spa quality. The problems of the room can be easily avoided by just a little more attention to readying the room between guest. Also note others from our group (total of 8 rooms) travelled and stayed in this same hotel for the same two days and they had no issues with cleanliness noted for them so it may have just been my turn to experience this somewhere and this was it. Nearby activities: All activities food, drink and entertainment are all relatively close and easy to get to from this hotel. All of Lubbock is easy to get to from cotton court. Safety: Although downtown there are no safety concerns. It was a nice change of traditional locations especially for Lubbock. Enjoyed it. Food and drinks: First night I ate at the hotel restaurant. I had the chicken fried pork chop and it was absolutely great. Service was friendly and timely. The to go drink for back to the room was a bit too small but ok since I just had a great meal Noteworthy details: Two night stay for business in room 402. Right off the elevator but heard no noise. Also right outside my window was the extremely bright cotton court sign. However, this oddly enough was not a negative. It was pretty cool, added to the feel of the room and when I was ready for bed I drew the black out curtains and the room was dark.

I am super disappointed in my stay. We stayed here in August and I came here based on reviews. The rooms have the great western vibe going on along with the steel bed frame. But first off about our stay. Minor inconveniences I guees would be the volume & lighting for our TV was not working, maintenance came in and was not able to fix so we just dealt with it. The toilet in our room was literally going to come off the wall every time we had a seat. Hair all on the wall in our shower. Thats still gross. But the absolute worst part was the pool. It was Absolutely DISGUSTING! My kids went swimming and everytime they came back around toward us they drug wads of hair pieces of fabric. It was gross. In addition you could not see the bottom of the pool. We finally got up to leave that nasty pool. But it being a popular hotel & summer and a bar literally right there, I suppose it can see alot of traffic. But jeez, can no one clean the pool daily? In the mornings? It was gross. And then to top off my night, while I was lounging in the hammock I had a worker approach me, while still in the hammock and ask if I had a room there? I was so looking forward to this stay but it was just an awful experience for us. I take that back kids enjoyed the filthy water, not so much me. Rooms are nice looking but not the best in cleanliness.

I loved my room and the hotel overall. I traveled with my dog, and the courtyard provided relief areas for her. The staff were courteous and accommodating. I have no complaints about the cleanliness or comfort of the room and bed. My only complaint was the noise level. They had live music playing past 11:30pm, and the guests were definitely enjoying the party. Most times I would ve been right there with them, but I had to catch an early flight. So if you re looking for a place that s fun and outgoing, this is for you! If you re looking to get a good nights rest, (maybe it was just because it was a Saturday night) this definitely isn t for you.

*Edit - Gus, the manager at Cotton Court, reached out to us. He apologized for our experience, gave us a partial refund and guaranteed to us that they were addressing the issues and it would not happen again. THERE WAS SOMEONE ELSES BLOOD ON THE SHOWER CURTAIN!!! There was also a bunch of soap scum on the bottom of the shower curtain & in the shower, which means it hasnt been cleaned/changed in a while. If this hasnt been cleaned how can we trust that the rest of the room has been cleaned well? We cant! We then checked the bed thoroughly and noticed spots on the covers and the pillows. The bed fittings were also on upside down, which shows no care when making the bed. Room was nice and surprisingly quite, but after the shower curtain, we were grossed out to sleep there. While watching TV, the TV would default back to the hotel screen and the volume would get really loud. Quite irritating to be watching something, then have it automatically switch to a super loud hotel screen, and then have to go back and find your show again. Valet was horrible. We dropped off the car on Saturday night, and the attendant said to call in the morning and they will pull the car up and have it cooled off for us. When we called the next morning, the person at the front desk said the cars were already pulled up front. When we went outside the car was all the way across the parking lot. Even though we only got half of the valet service we still had to pay full price. We were also told that there was no valet on Sunday, the second day we were there. How can you promote valet if it is not always offered? When coming back to the hotel Sunday night, we could not find a parking spot, driving around the hotel multiple times until we found a street spot, which we had to go move later that night, so we didnt get a ticket. When we went in to talk to the front desk about parking, there was no one even there. It wasn t until we went to the bar that one of the bartenders told us about the parking garage. One of the reasons we stayed at this hotel was for the valet and we were quite disappointed when they said it wasn t always available, like the website states. For this to be a Boutique hotel, the experience was not very luxury. Staff was rude and not helpful for our problems if they were even available at all. We had to call for ice, and the front desk said we have some in our freezer, which we did not and were rude about bringing it to us. The freezer also was full of ice build up stuck to the freezer and was quite gross. Rooms: Room was nice and quite but was gross. Safety: Isnt in the safest part of town. There was quite a few tweakers or druggies running around all the businesses by the hotel. Food and drinks: Drinks were good from the bar, but the food was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the price. Once we finally got seated at the restaurant, we had to wait for 20 minutes before someone came to serve us. We had to flag down another waitress and ask her if she was our waitress. She said she was not, but could get ours for us. The waitress did finally come after about 5 more minutes. The other waitress had walked by us multiple times and the people that sat us knew we were there but we still didnt receive service in a timely manner. The chips and queso we had for an appetizer were cold and the steaks we ordered were overcooked. We would have sent them back but were running short on time and had already been at the restaurant far too long. Desert tasted good though. Bar staff was nice and helpful. Room service breakfast was fast once we finally got through on the phone. Breakfast however was very inedible. Eggs seemed like they were from a powder, everything was greasy and lacked flavor. Would never order breakfast again!!!

If youre in Lubbock, stay here!! This gem isnt that much pricier than a basic motel, but in terms of quality and service its in an entirely different class. Come for the big, comfy rooms, stay for the well-appointed, expansive courtyard with a lovely pool, firepit, hammocks, and more. I had excellent service during my stay. Because I booked through a third party and was coming in quite late at night, I was worried that there might be problems with my reservation. When I got in really late and exhausted, the concierge, Pacasha lifted my spirits. She was friendly, informative, and took care of everything. She offered me a beer when I checked in and helped me settle in even though it was late. The property has little luxuries that make everything nicer - great beds, nice products, and lounging chairs in excellent places. I wasnt expecting much as I was passing through Lubbock on a long road trip, but I left feeling totally refreshed and uplifted. Thanks Cotton Court.

My Wife and I stayed here where we a requested and Paid for a late checkout upon arrival. We reminded the front desk to make sure they were well aware in the morning the day of checkout. We were interrupted to begin with 3 times at separate occasions by the staff to see if we had left yet. The fourth interruption occurred of a male employee bombarding the room without notification into the room (my wife was alone at the time and it terrified her). The fifth interruption occurred by phone by a female asking when we were leaving and concluded by her hanging up. We felt rushed by the staff staff even though it was well within time of a late checkout which we paid for when we checked in. The poor communication on the interruptions made us feel uncomfortable and stripped us of our privacy in which should be a priority in the hospitality industry. If a late checkout is an inconvenience to your staff then I wouldn t Recommend not offering it as the staff showed high levels of unprofessionalism and was not hospitable.

The property is beautiful and front of house staff was as accommodating as possible, within their power. Gus, specifically, was on top of everything while on the property. Our issues were specific to cleanliness. We had to essentially beg for housekeeping to come to our room which ruined our experience. This was our first trip with our baby so daily cleaning was necessary. Day 2, we finally just asked for new towels and threw out the trash on our own. Day 3, I had to ask 4 times, someone finally arrived. Day 4, we gave up and just reused our towels from the day prior. It shouldn t take begging for our room to get cleaned. It significantly affected our experience here. Would not return.

This hotel is nice but not really worth the expensive price tag. The pool looked huge from pictures online, upon arrival you quickly notice it s very small. Mattress had a huge brown stain, towels also had stains. They provide robes in room but the loops are broken so you can t tie them. I was provided drink vouchers with the package I chose, each voucher held a $10 value, problem is that each drink at the mini bar was $12.50, still had to pay another $7 difference for 2 drinks. I also purchased early check in for an extra $30 for a guaranteed check in at 12pm instead of 3pm, called at 12:30pm to ask if my room was ready and was told I couldn t check in until 3 because no rooms were ready. Didn t try the restaurant because of the bad reviews I read online and didn t want to waste my time. Staff was very nice but overall, not worth my money.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful decor. There is something to do for everyone, and close attention was paid to consistency throughout the hotel. Rooms: Quaint and beautifully styled and equipped. The perfect place to get away. The small touches - stocked refrigerator and snacks - were amazing. And the shampoo and soap smell divine! Food and drinks: The food was AMAZING. The watermelon cucumber salad was so delicious and refreshing in 100 defeee weather!

This is a perfect country, upscale place. They have put a lot of time and effort into ambiance and atmosphere. At night all the lights and fireplaces are going in the courtyard and it is electric and chill at the same time

This hotel is very trendy and inviting. I loved the room set ups with the antique-y fridge, multitude of snack and cold drink options within the room, and the ceiling fan in the room. The bed was comfortable, even if not quite as soft as I prefer. The hotel offers an inner courtyard with a variety of options for relaxation from cozy seating areas, to fire pits (with smore makings available for purchase), to hammocks, water features, lush grass areas, and a pool! The area is very inviting and a nice respite from the surrounding cityscape. There are first floor rooms which open onto the courtyard- each with an inviting red rocker on the porch. There is also a restaurant with bar on the premises. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the noon checkout is nice. Highly recommend!!!

Charming hotel! Loved the decor! Close to campus for our event, so the Uber ride was affordable. Had breakfast at the adjoining restaurant which was good. I wanted to buy a container of hand soap like they had in the room, but it was way to pricey at $40. (Really?)
