We go to Old St. Francis every other month. The accomodations are clean comfortable and affordable. The drive from Greshan is beautiful and relaxing and the location is very convenient. But it is the entire staff is why we choose to return so often. Lacey, Angela and Brian at the front desk are absolutely marvelous. Cant say enough about them. The food is very good and the atmosphere at Hugh O Kanes are quite wonderful. Daniel at Hughs is out standing as are all the staff at Hughs. Thank you to everyone we encounter at Old St. Francis. See you in May.

Being new to Lubbock we heard on the news about Santa Land and were excited to go especially since it was a drive through. Great for myself and daughter who couldnt have walked through if it wasnt. There wasnt much Christmas theme decorations except for the trees and the Nativity which I loved. The cut out a had nothing to do with Christmas. My 7 year old granddaughter loved it so I guess it was worth it. The main draw back is no detail information on how to get there. We drive to the park and fine that we were at the back. I had to yell at the gentleman to see where it started. Will we go back next year? No, there are better lights in our neighborhood. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

It is a drive through this year. Waited an hour and a half to see police blocking the road. Figured there was an accident so I went an alternant route and found some people being turned away at the gate and others going in. Apparently no one was supposed to go in well before closing (it takes 15 mins to drive through) but I was lucky enough to not have anyone approach my car, so I followed someone else in, much to the staffs chagrin. A dude was flailing his arms about us turning in and sent the car in back of us away. I dont understand the logic of the line closing so early. The advertisement said that it closed at 10PM and that people would not be let in then. It was around 9PM. The line stretches farther than a mile. Now, for the decorations themselves, they are great, the elves are wonderful, and Santa is the best ever. They just need to figure out the line better. You dont send people away like that. Think of the children who have waited.

I definitely did enjoy my experience of watching my child have fun however the only reason we came to Santland instead of the mall was for the Christmas experience with the displays, lights, hot cocoa, etc. Whoever the gentleman is who has the role of Santa Claus made a comment to me about my shirt that he should of kept to himself. I waited over an hour for my four year old to take a picture - we got about 45 seconds total. Then when I went to go buy my picture and waited in line when I finally got to the window the girl pointed at me and says you go there , meaning the other window. When I moved to the other window the girl was on her cell and talking to her coworker the entire time. This place was extremely unprofessional - Total waste of time - not family friendly -staff is disrespectful on another note it s free and you get exactly what you pay for.

A lot has changed, the houses that divided the park and the line leading to Santa are gone, now theres a dancing light show linked to music. The icicles on the fence werent working, the t.v.s that played Christmas movies are gone, the facts or trivia stuff is gone. Its so congested when viewing the displays but honestly even if they widened it, wouldnt fix the issue. People will still clump up and obscure the views. Despite all the minor stuff its still magical, its still a lot of fun. We got there at 5 to see Santa. Park opens at 6pm. A lot has changed but lots of improvements were made. Idk who puts this together but thank you for the memories and all the hard work. Id put more pics but theyre mainly of my family.
