I used Mr. Seymore and would not recommend this attorney to anybody else. I went in to his office to inquire about possibly trying to get my daughter out of the juvenile & Justice center for Christmas instead of her projected release date at the end of February. Mr. Seymore said he probably couldn t get her home by Christmas unfortunately, but did say he could probably get her to start the next semester of school free from jail. This sounded good to me and I hired him on December 6th. After a few weeks with no word from him, we started calling to get an update. He probably couldn t give us an update because he had only collected the money to be honest (not done any actual work). Anyways, we finally get in touch with him a month after hiring him and he says he has another case extremely similar to ours with a juvenile that had the same charge as our daughter and the same facts that led her to jail. He said he was about to go to court on this other case and then would have a better idea of what s in the future for our daughter. The other court date came and went and he told us that he was not going to be able to get our daughter out of jail because the Judge was being very strict and the cases were so similar. Although he did not win his other case, we are separate paying customers and we paid for our daughters case to be heard. I asked if I could get a refund in January since he never filed for a hearing on my daughter s behalf or anything like that and he denied this request, saying he still had to do other work on the case such as talk to the DA. To me it sounds like he gave up after losing his other case and then kept our money all the same. Was a very unhappy customer. We paid him to try nothing. Don t use him. Thanks
