I have been coming here regularly for a while. Always have had great service and great coffee. The baristas know what they are doing! This morning they got hit with a large order and said it might be a while before they could get my pour over out (pour over takes a moment anyways). It was out in a couple of minutes. Need a go to place to study, work, meet with people, or enjoy high quality coffee? This is it, no questions asked.

How are yall drinking this stuff?? If there were a competition for the most repulsive coffee, this place would easily win. I am by NO means exaggerating. I wish I were. Shouldve checked the bad reviews. We had to throw our drinks out! Pretty sure it USED to be good and thats why there are so many positive reviews. Thought itd be great after reading few. The atmosphere is cool I guess, but the coffee... wow. Wouldve gone back if we hadnt had to wait so long for it to cool down and we were only passing through. Seems they use quality flavorings, but the coffee tastes like straight up burnt coffee grounds. It is BAD. We ordered the aspen and a vanilla latte and it was easily the WORST tasting coffee Ive ever drank in my entire life! I have NEVER I needed a antacid and an anti nausea to settle my stomach after tasting coffee. Vile liquid. At ten bucks a drink Im still in disbelief. Something is definitely wrong so I called to let them know thinking theyd want to check their beans/equipment and all I got was... interestinng. No sorry.. no well make it right. Nada. Their reaction was enough to refuse a second chance even if they get to the bottom of it.

We office next to Sugar Browns and I can legitimately say that our company is powered by Sugar Browns drip coffee and Americanos. The staff is incredibly friendly and warm. They take time to remember you and your order. It s not every shop that you hear the usual? when you walk up to the register and look over to see the barista already making the drink.

My wife and I came here for some coffee around 9:45 on 11/18. There was a line of 3 people ahead of us, but we only waited about 5-6 minutes to order. We had never been here, but the staff were warm and welcoming and kindly answered all of our questions. My wife got the sugar free decaf vanilla latte, and I got the butter pecan latte. They were both extremely delicious. Best coffee I ve had in a long time. Not too sweet and absolutely no hints of bitterness. Then we split a breakfast burrito. The burrito was delightful, but a bit pricey for the size. ($6 for what you see in the photo) The green salsa had a big punch of sourness with no spice. It complimented the cheesy bacon flavor of the burrito. Overall, we had a good time and enjoyed some truly excellent coffee. Kid-friendliness: They have a separate play area for small children. Very cute and convenient! But I didn t want to look like a creeper taking photos of other people s children.

I ordered sugar free decaf vanilla latte. It was fabulous. No bitterness. Very smooth. The breakfast burrito had a whole wheat tortilla and was also delicious. Ive been a couple of times, but I dont care for the flavor of the coffee. It is neither the intensity of the roast (light/dark) nor the bitterness/sweetness spectrums; it is another dimension that I dont care for. (And Im not generally picky about coffee.)

I was so disappointed. I can honestly say that was the worst coffee Ive ever tasted. I had an Americana, I have drank them for years. The coffee had a weird metallic taste. I tried another sip, same results. I was trying to convince myself to keep on sipping it, maybe I could tolerate it. But I just couldnt. Maybe its tolerable if it has milk and sugar in it, I dont know. All I can say is hands down, it was so bad I couldnt even drink it. I poured it down the sink. Sorry about this review, I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the girl who rang me up was helpful and very nice. There were quite a few people there, so those people must have enjoyed the coffee. It was just so unpalatable for me.

Idk what happened but the girl behind the counter with pigtail braids and arm tattoos with a mask on was just shockingly rude. We didn t order anything with special milk or anything out of the ordinary just the drink as is and a pastry each and there was only two of us. I don t like being difficult, but she was so mean and aggressive about everything. I m a college student in customer service so I get having a bad day but I never take it out on customers. She was making ugly faces at everyone in the shop so I don t think it was just us. She was rolling her eyes and everything. If your day is that bad just call in.

We met my daughters best friend for a cup of Chai tea. My mother-in-law also ordered a seasonal and delicious Apple Cider knot (roll). The Chai was topped off with an amazing half inch of frothy cream, and was served in a contemporary tea cup/ saucer. This cute shop has a cool industrial bistro feel. I also loved that Jesus is welcome there!

We were passing through and arrived shortly after opening today. Very attentive and quick service (it helped that we were the only customers lol). The kolaches are affordable, small, and very tasty. The cinnamon knot was good and loved the turbinado sugar on top! I got a dirty chai latte and it was delicious. Highly recommend this coffee shop for a quick stop or a longer stay if you re passing through.

We typically love sugar browns every time we go but we just visited the new location and are ultra disappointed in it. My husband ordered a cappuccino with mocha, but there was no flavoring added to it at all. We also ordered 5 of the original kolaches and a cinnamon knot. They were all ice cold and not warmed in the slightest, which is not typically how they are served. Cold bread with cold sausage? We went through the drive thru and didn t notice any of these things until we had driven off. 2 stars because the girl at the window was great!

Loved our visit here. First timers. Delicious coffee and tasty pastries. Two SF vanilla lattes, a blueberry crumble muffin and a cinnamon twist. I do wish they warmed their pastries, but they weren t cold and still very good. They could use more comfortable seating here. Most were hard wooden or mega type chairs. Would definitely come back here again but may get our coffee to go.

We wanted to love this place! It s cute on the inside but when we walked it we weren t even greeted. We were like uhh should we order kind of awkward. The cashier said hi in a mumbled whisper and then whenever we asked questions or ordered anything she would respond with a rude yeah or no. After my friend ordered, I started ordering mine and received no confirmation that she heard my order. We ordered two iced lattes, one with vanilla and one with lavender and then got the avocado toast and a kolache. The kolache was good and the avocado toast was decent but nothing special. When we grabbed our coffees from the bar we again got attitude from the barista. I don t know who is training these people but yikes! Coffee was average and we were overall not impressed. Compared to other coffee shops in Lubbock, they are severely lacking in customer service and good coffee. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Good progress on grinding, weighing the bean, I order a dry cortado. Not bad I feel like I needed the taste of actual coffee not the milk so I requested another shot on it. After receiving my third shot it actually felt like a cortado taste. Thank you for fixing it up.

The coffee is amazing. I had a latte with Sugar Brown flavoring and it was delicious. The coffee was not to strong or acidic and so much better than other gourmet coffee establishments. The atmosphere is quiet and welcoming for reading a book, working on a laptop, or visiting with a friend. It is so relaxing. I was very pleased at how quickly we were served and with how helpful the staff were with flavor choices. The only suggestion I would make is that the menu be posted on the wall. We have all become accustomed to reading a high menu and it was a little confusing when we entered because this was our first visit. We will definetly be back.

Has a friendly staff and a great selection of coffee with season specialities (personal favorites being the Aspen Latte in Winter and Lavender Latte in Spring) though I wish theyre biggest size was a 24 oz instead of a 16 oz. Very nice and very friendly staff. Alittle confusing to find if you are not from Lubbock. However just ask anyone and theyll tell you its the same building as Wells Fargo.

The coffee and pastry were great, was very clean and great lighting especially since went with fiancé to study. Only negative was the acoustics in the open lobby of Bank. Music was very loud and hard to hear the person in front of you.

The staff here is super sweet but not annoying super sweet. They don t make you feel intimidated if you pause for half a second to decide on what you want to drink. Super cool spot.

I love this local joint. The coffee was god the menu was their own. My family and I enjoy trying and supporting local establishments. This one will be remembered by me. We were there to find my son an apartment for school. Their sausage rolls were unique, they will fix your coffee like you like it and serve you with a smile. My favorite was their pay it forward board!!! It touched my heart. When you visit, ask them about it.

Peaceful Environment This is my second visit in a week. Friendly staff, delicious coffee. I was able to study over there. Sometimes you can find live music playing but it s not loud.
