Quality cocktails and absolute class. Pierce is masterful in his craft. I hail from the land of $16-$30 cocktails (Austin) which are typically mediocre/pre-made/cheated with mixers for speed. Not here. The meticulousness/care is evident both if you watch the process and when you taste it in the glass, and at a mere $10, the value there is absurd. The Godfather Sour is the best cocktail Ive had at a bar in years. Ive done my share of whiskey-based amaretto sours at home, going as far as fat-washing semi-allocated cask-strength whiskeys for it, but where Id crafted a rich, dessert drink, theyve crafted here an extremely balanced, beautiful cocktail that puts my efforts to shame. I wish this place had existed back when I was at Tech from 02 to 06. My whiskey/cocktail journey would have skipped a few years through seeing the expertise at work here. Lubbock, please appreciate this and love it. This place is special and an absolute gem that fully deserves your support. Id give it six stars if I could. True excellence.

Coming in we were welcomed by Pierce, whom has made this an amazing experience. Knowledge of cocktails was unparalleled and I ve rarely experienced such a smooth martini. Thanks y all, it was an experience to remember

Bodines Cocktail Parlor is everything the 806 has been missing. In a town overwhelmed with dirty college bars and frat parties; Bodine s brings a sense of class to an otherwise lacking city scene. Matty, the owner, is a master of his craft. His experience, finesse, and love for the industry is obvious in the spirit/wine selection. Pierce is a young bartender that is on the come up. Matty is obviously a mentor figure and gives Pierce endless creative freedom to come into his own, bringing unique one of a kind cocktails to LBK. I could not recommend this cocktail parlor enough to anyone out in West Texas. To those complaining about pricing that is a joke. You are drinking hand crafted cocktails. Go to Narrow bar, go to West Table, Manhattan 9. All of these other comparable High End Bars are in the same ball park. I will never come through West Texas without stopping in Bodine s Cocktail Parlor. #DrinkPretty

The bar is what I look for... well-made, craft cocktails by professionals. But even with only 10 people in the bar, there was observable avoidance of me as the only not-from-here person in the place... which is fine. I settled-up and went to a friendlier place.

I dont drink alcohol so I was hesitant when my friends all wanted to go out for drinks here. I couldnt find any non-alcoholic drinks on their menu. However, when we got there our server was amazing. She suggested I let the bartenders surprise me with a non-alcoholic drink. It was amazing! It was so good I had another when my friends got another round. They were so nice and not judgy at all that I wasnt drinking. The atmosphere was so laid back and we could easily hear each other. Well definitely be back.

I used to love Bodine s. I would tell all my friends visiting how amazing bodines was and I was so happy to have a lounge in Lubbock that was comfy, stylish and served great drinks. The drinks used to be amazing! Then on our most recent visit. We were told the old soul was discontinued. I asked the server/bartender anything comparable? He couldn t recommend anything, and told me the old soul took 6 ingredients to make ok . Thanks for the info . So I ordered something different. Nothing I haven t had before. A few minutes after, a drunk guy falls off his chair at the bar. The same waiter we had decides to turn the lights off in half of the lounge we re sitting in. My feeling of comfort is gone. Bodine s used to be my pride and joy about the bar scene in Lubbock, but based on this recent visit, I will not be back. You ve got 7 minutes to get the F out! Different bartender yelling at the patrons. Then the same bartender cussed us out as we left, I am baffled.

Every drink is well made and they can make almost anything you want. Its 13 dollars for every drink and the drinks can be relatively small. They have a nice little stage which could make for nice live music or comedy shows. Overall great atmosphere and nicely designed place.

This bar is amazing. The drinks are professionally made with a bit of sass and attitude. The vibe is amazing and you won t find a better group of owners or employees. We went to several cocktail bars in Lubbock and this one was the worst for service and quality drinks. It warned on website of being patient for quality drinks. I had a Manhatten and it was lowest quality of all the Manhattans I have tried this week and we waited 45 minutes All other bars served much better Manhattans and we had them served within 5 mins. Felt sorry for the servers.

Its an excellent establishment, whether you want to get gussied up or come in jeans. Just because the staff is congenial & sometimes loquacious doesnt mean theyre bad at their jobs. To be greeted by a smile & a stiff drink is necessary after a long week. This staff is the most professional in Lubbock; to go is to treat yourself. Stay away if youre not used to sampling the finer things &/or people in life.
