I usually try different entrees on the menu. Therefore, I decided to order the green chile Swiss cheese burger without cheese. Well..... I hardly enjoyed the burger itself because the green chili did not have great flavor. The green chiles were not roasted or grilled. It just had black pepper, so it tasted bland. The green chiles seem like they were just boiled. However, the french fries were great! The crusted french toast was good, too. Parking: Sometimes, it is difficult to find a parking spot

SOOOO THIS PLACE WAS AHHHH-MMAAZZINGGGG! (BUT) waitress forgot so many of our things (i had to ask for lemons multiple times until my husband got up and just got them from someone else) I also had to remind her of my fruit dish and she completely forgot about bringing our potato chips. We didn t get those until we were already finished. Then she had told me that they are not able to mix egg whites, and regular egg because they don t stick together. But I cook egg whites, and eggs together at home all the time and have no issues so I didn t understand that part? . We had to get up and get our own to go boxes (We waited and waited and she just never came. finally after waiting about 20 minutes for her to come get our card and receipt we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for her to bring it back to us. Before we got it back in the 15 minutes, she took walking around with our card!!!! LAYING Our card down on another table to wear another customer picked it up!!! That kind of did it for me. Again, I do want to say the food was absolutely top-notch!!! It was so good all the food was fresh. I m a family of five and each one of us enjoyed our meal incredibly! It is quality food, and a clean restaurant I just think the Service we got that day wasn t the best. Food gets 5 stars!!!!! we got blueberry pancakes, egg whites with fruit Pork chops with French Chicken strips with Hamburger And I believe a burger with bacon and french fries We ordered those potato chips homemade and it was all absolutely fantastic. I recommend any of this.! Kid-friendliness: Sure nice to our kiddos

My wife and I eat here about once a month. We usually go on a Saturday morning for breakfast. They have excellent food. While we generally eat breakfast meals at Rain Cafe occasionally we go in the evening and have supper. Very good restaurant with its current crew and ownership.

Very good food, very clean and very friendly staff would have given the last star on the food and overall review if the portions were bigger, $12.00 for an Omelet you expect more meat and toppings! The chicken fried steak and eggs were very good and cooked proper over all way better then most places! The surrounding places have their work cut out for them! Came here for the first time with my dad, he had been but wanted to show me this place. I ended up ordering what they have labeled as chopped sirloin steak with sautéed onions and brown gravy. The onions and the gravy was there the chopped sirloin steak was not. It was Salisbury steak instead which is fine, I like Salisbury steak but the meat wasn t even the good quality ground beef either. They also added mushrooms into the gravy which I don t like. But at least they added corn in the side.

FOOD: The food is really good! The ham steak on the breakfast plate is cut really thin, I prefer a thick ham steak with breakfast. The omelet that my son ordered was good. The over medium eggs that I ordered were perfectly cooked. The French toast is dipped and rolled in oatmeal and cereal, which is supposedly their signature dish. However, I found that French toast wet in the center, so I did not like it. But my son loved it. Its covered in powdered sugar, which I prefer not to have. The coffee is really good, its Starbucks Pike Place. SERVICE: We went there on a Sunday morning and the service was great, fast, efficient. The food did not take long to come out. The waitress was cheery, happy, informative, and circled back to the table numerous times to refill our coffee. We were in and out within the hour. ATMOSPHERE: The chairs are not the most comfortable, the decor is Industrial style. It was a cold winter day, 24° outside, and the restaurant was cold inside. We had to sit near the kitchen to feel a little warmth. OVERALL: We are from Houston and it was our first time there. Great food, great service, clean restaurant! I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR BREAKFAST!

I have always came here when I come back to Lubbock for Breakfast. Today, I just had the most unorganized and worst experience. Coming into the cafe it was busy but the service for hosting was extremely unorganized and poor. We were told a 25 min wait for seating of 2 and came back after 25 min and was told it was gonna be another 25 min while there were open tables for 2 open both times we came in and came back. I love to come back for the breakfast again but the service needs to match the quality.

What a great experience. The meals were hot, made to order, and tasted fantastic. I highly recommend the French toast and Western omelet. Each have a unique twist of flavor that is a step above the regular breakfast joint. The waitress was friendly and seem to know the locals. The cooks are phenomenal! With some management this could be a great place. We stopped in for breakfast. We heard good things about the French toast. The line was crazy. There is no hostess. One and only one person clearing tables. They were busy. We ordered in a timely fashion. Food arrived. Girl that brought the food asked if we needed anything else. We told her yes, we need more syrup and some salsa. She walked away never to return. We had no silverware. We had to get up and go ask for silverware. We asked our own waitress for the syrup and salsa. She never brought it either. When she brought the ticket she already had a $5 discount on it as she knew she failed as our waitress. If you intend to herd people through like cattle you should at least make sure they have what they need and asked for. The French toast is good. I ll return to my other spots for better service.

The restaurant was quite busy when we arrived, most of the tables were unavailable but we were seated in a decent amount of time. We were seated near the kitchen but surprisingly it wasnt chaotic and the amount of foot traffic in and out of the kitchen wasnt bad. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was delivered quickly and was very good. The serving sizes were adequate with the price. I would recommend the Rain Cafe to others looking for a good breakfast place. Parking: This is a small parking lot that is shared by all the stores in the shopping center so it can be difficult to find a parking spot near the restaurant.

This place could be a much better experience. No hostess and treating customers like cows at a feedlot waiting to graze really diminished the potential of this place. People were nice but the service model is straight out of 1984. How difficult would it be to train a hostess and provide your customers with some reasonable expectations. No matter the time, quality of food, or awesome service would ever bring me back here. The managers and owners need to reexamine this model. And FYI....this is NOT A BRUNCH PLACE!!! I read the reviews about their crusted French toast and decided to try it. I was very surprised! Crunchy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside and not sweet. I had it with the sliced ham, which was thin sliced with a good sear. The price of the dishes are very reasonable and the servers are friendly. I will be coming back again.

Today was my first time eating here and I was so happy with it! Felipita was our server and she was so sweet and kind. The food came out quickly and tasted delicious. We love their food!! We try to go at least 1 weekend day! It has become our favorite breakfast place. I do have to say they are popular and a small area so sometimes the wait can be alil long but i promise it is well worth it!! We have loved every one of the waitresses we have gotten so far!! High recommend you going.

Ok- so me and my fiancé just went to Rain Cafe on 50th St. There was a sign that said seat yourself- so we did. Both servers saw us walk in. So we waited 10 min and still nobody came to our table. They were not very busy- maybe 5 or 6 tables in the whole place. Two different couples walked in after us and were immediately served. After another 5 min we just left. Nobody greeted us and all the cooks were just staring at us. Nobody waited on us. It doesn t appear to be managed very well. The servers don t really care. I m a server myself and I thought that was pretty crumby. We probably won t go back. It sucks because I tip really well.

The Western Omlet was very good according to my friend. The plate came with hashbrowns. The Huevos Rancheros is made with homemade Ranchero sauce (it is not spicy). Service was excellent. Our waitress was Felepina. Full menu is served all day.

Never had an experience like this at any restaurant, we arrived at 1:15 for late lunch. Before arriving googled to make sure they were open, says closes at 3. We walk in and are greeted with ugly looks and the whole kitchen staff yell we close at 2!! Literally yelled it across the restaurant! I said thats 45 mins from now?? They just shrugged and continue the ugly looks so we left, didnt need someone spitting in my food because theyre angry

Ordered steak and eggs they did not have the steak, so I got the pork chop and eggs. When i got it the pork chop was tiny like they only gave me half a pork chop, eggs were cooked how I ordered, but bland and unseasoned. Overall the meal was not very good. I would not come back. Too small portion of what mattered the pork chop. Who serves half a pork chop?

I found this place online and they had great reviews about their French toast and freshly squeezed orange juice. I was in town for work and wanted to find a good brunch spot for me and my co worker.
