We had so much fun there. They have a large outside are right on the lake and an inside dining room. Food was great, best hamburger anywhere. Service and atmosphere couldnt be better. Will be going back soon.

Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere until they resolve their staffing issues. We have been here several times and get the exact same excuses every time. We have seen multiple people experiencing the exact same issues. This place should close until they can manage the restaurant. This restaurant should be doing so good, the food quality is on par with what you would expect assuming you get your food. Today I had a staff member walk away from me while I was trying to understand what was going on. There is little doubt that the review rating on Google is inflated by fake reviews as there is simply no chance this place ever operates properly.

We had such a fun time celebrating a birthday with 12 people. Love the atmosphere it s fun and upbeat. Service was great, Maggie did a great job. Their food and beverage prices are very reasonable. Modelo $6 and we had a BUNCH of premium Neft vodka cocktails for only $8. The burgers were amazing. Get the Charlie s burger and add the bacon and an egg. I can t believe it s only 4 miles away so we will definitely be back soon. Thank you Cherese and Mike, great to see you guys so busy!

What a great place! The burgers were fantastic! Its clean and bright, with a fun decor and a beachy, casual ambience. We also had the chips and queso, shrimp app, and wings and all were good. Great service too! Highly recommend Charlies for a fun time with good food! And the sunset over the lake, which you could see from the patio and the restaurant, was beautiful!

Went for lunch on Sunday and sat on the patio. After waiting about 15 minutes, we had to go find someone to wait on us. She came out and went to a different table who had just sat down. They didn t really seem busy so not sure why the long wait. Menu is very limited. After we got our food, we had to ask for napkins and more water. The food was good and atmosphere was nice but service needs help.

New ownership makes phenomenal difference in food quality, service, cleanliness, and overall experience. This place has changed ownership 5-6 times since Charlie passed away 18-20 years ago. The food quality was amazing with fresh crisp salads and exceptional grilled chicken. Kayla greeted us with a smile and showed great care at every stage of dining and beverage service.

So excited to see what s been done with this place! I love the recent remodel and the nod to the restaurant s roots with the restoration of the original name. We were in for appetizers and drinks. We enjoyed some frozen margaritas and Shiners served in chilled glasses. The queso had a generous portion of beef for the add-on price, and the catfish bites appetizer (not currently on the menu but ask your server if they have them) were fantastic! The atmosphere is fun, open, and tropical. Great spot to stop by while you re at the lake! Marina parking is validated with a minimum purchase. Parking: Paid parking at the marina complex is validated with a minimum purchase at Charlie s, just ask your server and present your paid parking receipt.

To be clear, we would very much like this restaurant to thrive as there is a big lack of food options on Lake Lewisville. Before I provide the feedback I would like to compliment the bar tender / waiter with the full body tattoos (sorry, forgot his name) he is spectacular! Weve been twice, including yesterday, July 4th. Simply put, it is very apparent, Charlies is owned and run by a couple who needs a professional operator. The first visit was on a non-busy day... very long wait for food only to come out with every order (6) having an issue. The 4th of July visit was nothing short of cluster-f. After waiting for 30 min we asked if we could get the chips and salsa (nope, the not so nice waitress tells us). After another 30 minutes we asked how much longer, to which we were told it may be another 60 minutes. In summary, look for this restaurant to be under new ownership with a new name if changes do not quickly take place.

Out of the 3 restaurants that have been here since Ive been a member hands down this is the best. Warmly greeted as you entered and the service was great. They put on a sports match I was looking for and requested right away. I had the brunch and was pleasantly surprised at all of the options and the more than reasonable price. The food also tastes really good. My only recommendation would be to possibly not put out so much of one item and instead maybe put out a fresh batch halfway through as some items such as biscuits and pancakes became slightly hard sitting in the warmers. Could help reduce waste and costs while also improving quality. But overall a wonderful experience and will definitely be back

So excited to have a great place to eat, drink and hang out. The vibe is so great with colorful, tropical decor and of course the lake setting. Chicken sandwich, hamburger, and catfish have all been wonderful. Music is spot on depending on an afternoon or an evening as have experienced both. Mavs watching party was awesome with tons of TVs to watch. Looking forward to an incredible summer as they grow! Ive had a boat at 121 for 18 years and Charlies brings back the good days from the original. Food is amazing and staff is great. The atmosphere reminds me of being at a great beach bar in Mexico.

Wife and I went there for lunch on a Saturday. It took 15-20 minutes for our server to show up with a menu just as we got up to leave. We did not complain, just politely said we were leaving. We went to the bar and asked to validate our parking ticket, and we were denied since we did not purchase anything. I understand that they were short staffed. I dont understand not comping the parking for the inconvenience. We will return to this establishment.

The vote is amazing! We had a burger and chicken Cesar salad. The chicken was fried and the batter had no flavor, while the salad didn t have enough dressing. The burger was a bar frozen patty. The cheese was the best part! Bartender seemed like she knew how to make a shot and a beer but not much else. My business associate asked for a daiquiri, pina colada, and even a margarita; though they claimed they couldn t make them because they don t have simple syrup or coco Lopez. I hope they pull themselves together as they have much potential. No music on Saturday afternoon is just crazy. No water misters. It s 100 degrees plus!!! At least have some frozen drinks! Give me a tropic vibe. Doesn t have to be fancy have 3 drink machines making batches. I bought 3 from a restaurant supply company used, you can too. Give me a reason to come back. Give me an escape from north Dallas.

Charlies just opened and we have been extremely excited to try it out. We pulled our boat right up to the door, basically.To say the least, we are thoroughly impressed. Not only is the location amazing but the food is on point! Some of the best catfish Ive ever had and their chicken sandwich probably was the best my wife has ever had. Got to check them out!! Kid-friendliness: They have a few different outdoor games set up to keep the kids entertained. And even though my kids were running around making a fool of themselves no one seemed to care and got a lot of smiles from people watching the kids have fun.

A HIDDEN GEM. So glad they are finally open - just in time to kick off the summer! This place is a total vibe!!!
