My family had an amazing experience with Sharla Martin Photography. After I knew I was done having children, I decided to invest in posed newborn photos. Searching the countless newborn photographers in Austin, her newborn posed style, along with the family photos, just screamed this is what you have dreamed of! The colors, lighting and poses were perfect. The process to book her, communicate with her was easy. You choose the colors and props ahead of time, and she has many high quality adorable choices on her instagram. Even the dress that I wore (as the mom) was provided in her client closet. The day of the photo shoot went so smoothly. She emailed a guide on how to get the best photos out of a newborn. Sharla and her amazing assistant were such a great team, very efficient, safe, the session went effortlessly smooth. Their many years of experience showed. They were great making my two older sons (ages 2 & 5) smile and laugh, feeling comfortable with them. And she even had some toys to keep them busy in a separate room. I highly recommend Sharla Martin Photography, and would love to book her again for other photo sessions.

Sharla has a true gift of capturing some of the best moments in my daughters life. We had her take holiday and bluebonnet pictures and the finished product exceeded my expectation. Given that my daughter is somewhat reserved around new people, Sharla has a natural ability to bring the best smiles out in her. Sharla is professional, so friendly and patient!! She is the best of the best!

I would give Sharla 10 stars if I could. Sharla was able to do a home visit to capture our newborn and I m so grateful we have this short but precious time documented. Everything from her communication to all the props she provided made her session an incredible experience. She is truly a baby whisperer. My week and a half old baby was even smiling in half of her photos! We got our photos back in the time she quoted and I already feel so thankful we have these memories because our baby has already grown so much since our session we kept every single photo she took of us and our daughter. Highly recommend!

We did a family mini session with Sharla Martin and were blown away by the results. I was worried 15 minutes wouldn t be enough time to capture our family, but it was perfect to keep the kids attention and she got a variety of looks and family member combos. She was so great at making the kids laugh and getting natural shots. The photos are something we will cherish forever. I highly recommend!

Sharla was so great to work with. We love our Christmas photos! Her and her team were awesome trying to get our not so happy baby to smile for the pictures and they came out better than we anticipated. We will absolutely use her for future family photos. Thanks again!

We are new to the area and needed to find a new family photographer. We stumbled upon Sharlas blue truck mini session and couldnt resist. Our 2 boys enjoyed her guidance and fun at the session. Sharla did such a great job on our maternity photos! She had a nice variety of maternity gowns to chose from which was very helpful. She was so patient with our daughter and did such a great job helping us pose and feel natural. We absolutely love the way the pictures came out. Can t wait for our newborn session!

I love working with Sharla! We are fairly new to the area and based on her reviews, I decided to book a family session with her this past winter. She is amazing at what she does! My daughter and I recently did a mommy and me session and the images are breathtaking. Prompt communication, wonderful with children and I love the turn around time of receiving the photos back. We are so glad we went with Sharla! I felt like I waited too long to book something for a maternity shoot and Sharla was quick to accommodate us. We met Sharla at a designated spot for our evening shoot and it was really fun! Sharla made us feel comfortable and she was so easy going. I highly recommend Sharla for newborn photography. She created an incredible experience for my baby and my family that led to wonderful photos we will treasure forever. Both Sharla and her assistant were professional, friendly, experienced, kind - everything you could want. They arrived on time and brought everything needed for an amazing newborn & family photoshoot! Props, backdrops, headbands, a space heater, lighting & more. They took great care to handle my baby safely and with love. What impressed me the most was they way they instantly bonded with my family - myself, my husband, daughter and baby all felt so comfortable around them. This, combined with Sharlas editing skills led to pictures that made us so happy we teared up looking at the beautiful moments she had captured. We will absolutely be going back to Sharla for more family pictures in the future and highly recommend her for yours.

100% worth every penny! I used Sharla for newborn photos and I could not be any happier. The whole process was seamless. They come to your home and have all of the props with them. They took care of everything. I was able to spend my time with my toddler as they took extra special care of my newborn during the photo shoot. As a new mom, it was great to not have to worry about any of the details. The photos truly speak for themselves!

We first met Sharla when we did newborn photos and my husband and I loved the experience. It s great because she comes to your home and it makes it so easy. She has so much patience with families and the kids. We were able to breastfeed in between takes as well. The photos turned out awesome! Fast forward to a year later and we had to post pone several times due to Covid. My kid is now a rambunctious toddler and she still managed to get the most amazing photos and did I mention he s actually smiling. We love her!!! If you re looking for a great family photographer, she is it!

I have been meaning to write this review about Sharla for quite some time. I found Sharla when I was looking for someone to take maternity and newborn photos and I could not have been happier with her work! I have never liked photos of myself, but I figured that I should go ahead and get maternity photos done anyway. When I saw them, I was blown away. I absolutely loved them and I m so thankful she captured that time in our lives. She is known for doing amazing posed newborn photos; however, she also does amazing lifestyle photography. For our son s newborn photos, we were thrilled that she was willing to do a mixture of both. She has since done our son s six month, one year, and two year photos as well. We absolutely adore these photographs. Sharla is so talented and does an amazing job capturing our family s personality. She is so much fun to talk to and the session always flies by. Her rates are also very reasonable and she sends the gallery quickly. We are so glad that we have found our family s photographer.

I contacted Sharla later in my pregnancy knowing maternity photos might not be an option if she was booked. She was extremely helpful and accommodating to make sure we were able to capture these special moments before our first daughter arrived. She suggested a beautiful venue I wasn t even aware of that truly captured the beauty of this experience and unique vibe ofAustin. We found out we were going to welcome our daughter two weeks earlier than expected. Sharla was able to ensure we captured our sweet daughter the same week we notified her which was much earlier than originally planned. The quality of photos from both sessions is top notch and worth every penny spent! Sharla and her assistant arrived on time for our in home newborn session. They both wore all the Personal Protective Equipment throughout the session. I also appreciated all the info Sharla shared leading up to our sessions so I was adequately prepared to have the best photos possible. I will look no further for future family photos and am so glad I grabbed her card from my doctor s office many months ago! You will not be disappointed if you hire Sharla Martin Photography!

Sharla is so incredible to work with!! We took a chance on her for a Spring mini-session and we were so blown away by the photos! I am totally self conscious and she made me so comfortable and our whole family looks beautiful. With all the excitement around a new baby, I was very late to schedule a newborn session. However, Sharla responded quickly and was able to fit us into her schedule within days to capture the precious memories of my little girl. Sharla and her assistant were overall very professional, attentive to my child, and spent over 4 hours capturing my wish list of images. She was able to guide me through the whole process and work with my newborns needs (feeding, diapering). Its clear Sharla is a mother herself and may also be a baby-whisperer. I was amazed by how relaxed and comfortable my baby girl was with her. I certainly felt that her prices were fair for the service and package of photos we received. I definitely intend to work with Sharla again in the future.

Sharla is as kind as she is amazing at capturing newborns on camera! She recently did my newborn shoot and she was able to catch my baby s smile and illuminate her features in the most beautiful way. I received my pictures quickly and found her to be very affordable considering the quality of her photos!! Her style is natural and simplistic; she has gorgeous wraps and headbands to work with (that aren t gaudy or silly). She also made it incredibly easy on me by coming to my house and on my schedule. I felt very comfortable with her handling my newborn and I had a relaxing 4 hours watching her work her magic!! I highly recommend Sharla!
