Very nice hangout place outdoors. We went only during breakfast hours. Havent tried the lunch or dinner yet. The ambience is good. The Rameswaram dosa is the highlight. Rest of the food was pretty good too.

Person with specs in the dosa cart eating directly from the cookpot for customer food. No spoons were harmed during this. 2nd cart where noodles are made, the person who was packing the food touched the food with his bare hands to see if the food was hot or not. Why only touch when you can eat like your colleague from another cart. Proper street food.

We visited this place as one of my friend informed of this new place - we are not impressed with this place. We ordered a variety of dishes from chats-dosas, Service is horrible where we didnt have place to sit and waited in line for 40 mins and another 20 mins to get all the food. Food quality and taste was disappointing. Service is horrible- no proper seating and coordination on the food delivery.

They were rude & they will screw your personal time, so dont go to this place, all they need is short time money not quality food or people. Stay away

We recently had Desi Hangout cater for an event, and I can t say enough good things about the entire experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless, and the food? Simply incredible! The highlight of the menu was hands down the stuffed Gulab Jamun. I ve had Gulab Jamun plenty of times, but this was on a whole new level. The filling added an extra layer of richness, and it was the perfect balance of sweet and indulgent without being overpowering. Everyone at the event couldnt stop raving about it it was definitely the star of the night! Aside from that, all the dishes were packed with flavor and authenticity. You could tell a lot of care went into preparing each item. The portions were generous, and there was a great variety to suit all tastes. It really felt like a meal made with love. The team at Desi Hangout was also wonderful to work with super professional and punctual, which made the whole process stress-free. They made sure everything was hot and ready on time, and the presentation was spot on. If you re looking for amazing Indian food with top-notch service, I highly recommend Desi Hangout. They absolutely made our event a hit!

We visited desi hangout food truck today. The food was good, but the service was disappointing. The person at the counter mishandled our order, confusing our request for takeout and dine-in. Additionally, he kept shushing us, which is not how you should treat customers. I understand its tough working in that heat, but showing respect to customers is needed.

Taking a star out for food and service, but first the positive. Nice ambience, enough fans and mist. Menu is tilted to very teluguish tastes. We ordered burgers and the chicken patty was fried but flavorful. Would have preferred it was grilled but looks like they do deep fry than grill for everything where an option exists. Napkins were missing and pricing is somewhat high for that $10 burger, IMO. I ll be back to try other items.

Our visit was a mixed experience marked by pleasant ambience, average food, and notably inadequate service. The atmosphere upon arrival was inviting, yet our anticipation to try the live pani poori was met with frustration. After arriving lot earlier and waiting in queue to order items we finally arrived at pani poori stand by 8:45 PM, we joined queue without knowing that the live pani poori station closes at 9:00 PM an important detail undisclosed prior to our visit. Only upon questioning the pani poori maker directly did we learn about this closing time, after waiting for 20 minutes behind other guests. While the restaurants setting and culinary offerings showed promise, the lack of transparency regarding operational hours significantly detracted from our experience. Such oversight resulted in a sense of disappointment and inconvenience. It is crucial to enhance communication of operational details to ensure a more satisfactory experience for all patrons.

We visited yesterday evening and ordered chicken, lollipop, Samosa chat and chicken burger. All the three were below, average in taste and quality. The chicken lolipop was definitely old and was refried. The burger took so long, disappointed to see frozen chicken patty, soggy tasteless burger . We had to throw away because it was not fresh. All of us are down with stomach pain from last night. I generally take food videos & put it in instagram. but the moment I tasted the lolipop, I was like NOPE not going to review this place . I hesitate to give negative feedback to food places, because there are good days and bad days for food establishments. but here it is the health concern that we are sick after eating this food. The place is pretty cool but food quality is bad . Now hanging out in the toilet after eating this food . Response to the management - This is purely my experience & how can you say it s not fair . Looking at the chicken can tell whether it s fresh or not. The worst part is how me and my son both are sick eating your food. You have to first improve your quality and hygiene in the kitchen before you rudely respond to your customers. I m checking all your negative reviews & your rude response to it .

Ambiance was good, but I would not recommend, not sure how they got so many positive reviews! Spent around $50-100 and had to throw most of the food and at the end we had to order Dominos pizza! So I would not going back. Thank you! Place is good but food is just ok. We ordered dosa which is not so good, it has more of rice flour in it. Mysore bonda is so bland. Veg Noodles and Karampodi chicken is just ok not sure about what sauces they used in it. It created weariness in us after having food here. Service is too late we waited for 1hour to get all our items even when there was not many people.

Too many mosquitos, need mosquito treatment. Both veg burger and chicken burgers are bland, there is no desi flavors or sauce. Patty and fries both felt like frozen from Walmart. Irani chai was too milky. Pani puri was just ok. Hygiene of Pani puri was just like back in India. Reply to owner: This was my experience on visiting the place. Either you can improve on the experience, or blame the customer for visiting your place.

We have had food at Desi Hangout food truck many a times now and wanted to try their live kitchen on our son s birthday. We got four kinds of dosas, idlis with chutneys and sambhar and two chaats. Their dahi puri was a superhit. The whole setup and service was nicely done and the food was appreciated by everyone in the party. People were actually queuing up for more food and felt like that got transported back to Indian weddings haha. Both Sai s are very generous and supportive when it comes to catering food. We would definitely recommend everyone to try out these items atleast. From the food truck- try their Irani chai, street style noodles, veg fried rice and chicken drumsticks. You will thank me later

Desi Hangout is a must-visit for lovers of authentic Indian street food, and their Pani Puri is a highlight. The restaurants vibrant and welcoming ambiance, with its mix of contemporary and traditional Indian decor, sets the perfect stage for a delightful dining experience. The Pani Puri is served in a visually appealing manner, with crisp puris arranged around a bowl of tangy, minty pani and a side of tamarind chutney. The puris are perfectly crisp, maintaining their integrity without being too thick. The filling of spiced potatoes and chickpeas is savory and flavorful, providing a perfect base for the refreshing, spicy pani. Each bite is an explosion of flavors, capturing the essence of this beloved street food. The portion size is generous, making it a satisfying snack or a light meal. The pricing is reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality and authenticity provided. The service is commendable, with friendly and attentive staff ready to customize the spiciness to your preference. Overall, Desi Hangout s Pani Puri is a delightful culinary treat that delivers on taste, quality, and authenticity. It s a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy the true flavors of Indian street food.

I ordered Chicken drumsticks, street style fried rice, Dahi Poori, onion Mirchi Bhajji. Drumsticks were a disaster, first got burnt ones later replaced but tasted like reheated in old oil. Mirchi bhajji were cold and the stuffing was not great either. We liked the street style fried rice and Dahi Puri.

I don t write negative reviews but i am so disappointed that i have to. 2 stars is for the ambience and their service was fine. Dahi poori was okay, just hoped there could be more green chutney in it but quality and quantity was good. Punugulu was fried probably more than couple of times. They were not fresh and we couldn t eat it. As in the picture, in dosa, you can see the boiled potatoes, no masala what so ever for a masala dosa. I don t like to throw food and i dont know what to do with dosa and punugulu now. If they were open, i would return the food. Wasted my money.

Ordered chicken fried rice and chicken noodles. While the noodles were passable at a 4/10 rating, the fried rice was utterly disappointing, earning a mere 1/10. Regrettably, after consuming the fried rice, I experienced stomach discomfort. Moreover, the wait time for our order was unacceptably long, and the lack of transparency regarding this delay was frustrating. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place until they prioritize both the quality of their food and their customers health and time.
