Such a cute place! I went for my very first time last Friday. I ve never been to a tea room and I m happy I did. If you go, the cheese soup was so good! I also had a fresh salad that hit the spot. My friend had a spinach quiche that looked delicious.

Mixed experience. The food and tea were good and at a decent price but service is never quite welcoming. I ve been here several times (pre-covid included) and it seems consistently unwelcoming. Any dietary restrictions or special requests are an annoyance. Instead of checking the ingredients for soy, my friend was told just to not have the chicken. One friend never got the iced tea she ordered. As we were collecting our things to go (a group of 8) we were told another group had been waiting patiently for our tables and we needed to head out. It was a very busy day and as I understand it, there was only one person working. So, overall good. I will probably be back, but service could definitely use improvement.

We had a party of 8 and were led to a very nice room. There was only one person working due to an illness but she did an excellent job of taking and delivering our orders. I had the spicy bean & ham soup and it was delicious, as was the peach iced tea. We will definitely return! Vegetarian options: They had several vegetarian sandwiches, as well as one soup. I believe most salads were also vegetarian. Parking: I had no problem finding parking but I was there at 11 am when the tea room opened.

We brought my three-year-old niece here for lunch, and we loved it! We mentioned that she wanted a tea party, so they brought out an Alice in Wonderland teapot and cute tea cups. The food was amazing, and the service was really good. We didn t realize there was an area for kids to dress up, but we plan to try it next time. I d recommend coming early because they get busy fast.

Owner VERY, VERY RUDE. Apparently we were the first group to ask to add 1 more to a previously made reservation. Owner extremely annoyed, but accommodated us. After collecting checks and any TIPS, she told us we needed to leave as she had another reservation for this table. Not a nice place to enjoy lunch

The place is tiny but warm. It is cute. It has a very ancient English decor and everything is very thematic. The food is good, but OVERPRICED. Me and my friend ordered walnut plum (?) salad and chicken salad with vanilla lemonade, and two tea. I dont remember the flavours. The tea was dilute but the salad tasted great. I cannot find a way to add pictures, but I took a very aesthetically pleasing picture of my food.

I had my baby shower here in the back room, my son is now 4. SO WHEN I say this please know I use to like this place enough to have my baby shower there. Today the owner asked us to leave to make room for people sitting outside. We were just waiting on my elderly mother to come back from the restroom and the kids to put away the dress up clothes. Ive never been asked to leave anywhere. The way she asked was was short and very rude. Especially after spending 125.00 for 3 PBJs, 2 sandwiches, and a salad with soup. All of the food was not great but I like taking my mom, nana & kids to enjoy the atmosphere and drink tea. Also THEY kept rushing us. They took my sisters soup after we told them multiple times we were still eating it. I understand if people are lingering and not being considerate. But we were NOT at all. I mean we were there for 45 min, 7 people. Thats ridiculous!!!!!!! Ive never been asked to leave a restaurant. I work in event planning and I will no longer speak highly or be back. When I spoke to the owner she said its a small place. Does that matter? Lost our business. Advise, QUALITY over QUANTITY. People come to your tea room to enjoy and rushing them out the door is SOO RUDE!! 45 min total is not a long time for 7 people and we shouldnt of be rushed.

I wanted to treat my two young nieces to the private tea party experience. I called and made a reservation two weeks prior. When we got there it was busy...they acted like I did not have a reservation(I asked about the room etc. when I called and they were VERY specific) They stuck us in front...I walked to the back and there was an open table in the tea party room so I questioned what was going on. They were VERY rude and sharp saying just sit here! Then another lady came, seeming very put out and put us in the tea room for the kids and said WE DO NOT promise the tea room EVER!! HUH?? Nothing special and the food as inedible.. it came out in 2 minutes. Croissant sandwiches obviously made WAY ahead and refrigerated so you can guess how that tasted. Veggie chips, yuk! Look elsewhere. Even the girls were disappointed. I went there years ago and it was MUCH better!

I second the reviews of some here about the rudeness of the owner. When my girls have a tea party they have cream and sugar like a traditional tea party. You would have thought I was asking for the blood of her first born. Also if kids are a little messy for you or make your dresses in slight disarray, just say no kids allowed or something. We will no longer come here due to the rudeness of the owner/ whoeverthehellthatwas.

Do I recommend the atmosphere and enjoy the cutesy photos of my child? Absolutely. Do I enjoy attitude and rudeness from the owner? That would be a negative. I am easy going to understand when a place is busy to give them a moment to regroup. But when I ask for a refill of a tea pot and 20 mins goes by and I get up to go to them to ask for a refill I even expressed that I understood that they are busy at the time. But we have 4 girls getting a one tea pot refill. The icing to the whole situation was having the owner/waitress ask me if we needed anything else, to which I ask for the second refill (final refill) in the tea pot, for her to grab the tea pot, roll her eyes and walk away. Why ask? Why ask me at all if I needed something? At checkout, I asked you if I was the problem, if my child and her friends were the problem. And you proceeded to tell me no, why would I think that? So I explained that I felt like a bother asking for refills in tea pots for the girls and receive the eye roll. And you proceeded to state well you got 4 refills in a row. No, we didn t. That s incorrect. We weren t needy, we didn t ask for much but your response made us feel like we were such a burden to your business. And then to hear you say as I walk out the door that was unnecessary of me . Be better. Be kinder. An apology for the eye roll would have been sufficient enough.

My friends and I visited this place in Feb 2022 to try a new tea place. It was quaint and had different rooms with 3 to 4 tables in each. Theres Alice and Wonderland pictures everywhere which is cute but a but childish to me. The menu was pretty straightforward. I ordered a jasmine lemonade which tasted like jasmine with lemons in it lol but it wasnt bad, very fragrant. I ordered a portobello sandwich...it was different. I didnt expect the mushroom to be on bread and act as the meat I was expecting something between two mushrooms. It wasnt the best amd I was disappointed but good experience. The salad was pretty good but coulda done without the many carrots on top. The bread sticks were pretty good but with a sandwich, ya dont need bread sticks. What is that. Their sandwiches come with veggie chips which I was not fond of at all. The dull colors of the chips threw me off, considering the sandwich had fresh veggies. Seemed like a cheap way to include a standard side. I woulda preferred chips of my choice but its cool. The raspberry custard was strange to me but i dont like the flavor anyways so I didnt eat it. My friends ordered tea but there werent teas from different lands like other tea places Ive visited. This place has a tea holder with a variety of teas, that was stuffed to capacity but they all came from a grocery store. Which was tacky. I could have bought a box of my own tea instead of paying $3 for the same experience. Maybe a place for locals but Ill pass in the future.

This place is another example of why we should support our small local businesses. The place is quaint and you will likely meet or be waited on by the owner. It is a great lunch only spot for a wife appreciation day or girls chat. The finger sandwiches are hand crafted on crust trimmed bread. The corn chowder is hearty and delicious. Come in ready for a flavored hot or iced tea or cup of coffee. The sweets are tasty and they have a sampler platter on the menu with sandwiches and dessert. The sandwich menu is large and has a few hot options.

Turns out, she had the SAME experience as I had 10 years ago. Her friends that went, also agreed that the food was average but more obviously, the owner/staff was RUDE. Makes one feel like they are doing YOU a favor for being there. Actually, EVERY business in this center is pretty much the same. I used to go to Nana s, etc and was TIRED of the RUDE to NO SERVICE, so, NO MORE SHOPPING THERE FOR ME. The problem is, these owners don t have a clue as to what they are doing wrong. Not sure how the others rated more than one star. It deserves ZERO.

Always love coming here for a light lunch and some sweet treats! Today I brought my almost 3 yr old for a mommy-daughter date. They served her strawberry lemonade in a little tea kettle with a tea cup, which she was just tickled by. She was also excited about the chocolate chip cookie that came with her grilled cheese! Thank you for making our date even more special!

Ive been coming here for years. Between the salads, sandwiches, wraps, and soups I cant tell you which is my favorite! Everyone who works here is very courteous and I have yet to have a bad experience.

Holly Berry Tea Room is a quaint tea house with great service, good food, a nice selection of hot and iced teas, and wonderful desserts. Each sandwich is served with a delicious house made strawberry sorbet. The menu consists mainly of sandwiches and salads and a soup of the day.

Every time we have attempted to eat here, the owner/host is very unpleasant. I get the feeling that he only treats the locals politely from what I have observed. I attempted to give it another try since my daughter and I were headed to the boardwalk for the day from Houston and it had been a few years since we had been there. While we were waiting at the hostess stand to be seated, he looks right past us and greets and sits the party behind us first. So rude! Then after acting like we were invisible for another 5 minutes, we walk out. I have spoke with others that have had a similar experience. He appears to only want to serve locals. This guy totally ruins it! Dont waste your time or money!
