The service was fast. The portion was huge and the shrimp was big. I ordered shrimp fried rice. I called in and they picked up Hello as if they were answering a personal phone. I had to ask if it was Baos Cafe. Not professional. 2nd my rice looked really good but by the 5th bite into it the taste changed. My mouth had a disgusting waxy feeling in it and felt dry almost like I couldnt chew. I did some research and it looks like its the lard they cook their food in. My daughter also tried it and had the same experience.

The last not one but THREE times have been absolutely awful. Theyve really gone downhill. They cancelled my online order while I was standing in front of them asking about the order. They claimed to have not received my order after driving here and then I get the email right there that my order was cancelled. The last time, they thought I was mistaken for a different restaurant and insisted what I was trying to order didnt exist, even while Im looking at the pamphlet they just left on my porch lol The time before that, we were the ONLY table in the entire place and they still acted like they were just too busy for us. The food is mediocre at best. Its just close to the house.

Our first sign we should ve walked out when we sat down and they had to turn the lights on for us. Our second sign was our soda came in a bottle which is totally fine it s the fact that our ice tasted musty was the problem. So we order some dumplings great had lots of flavor. Next ordered orange chicken a wonton soup and mushroom chicken with fried rice, the soup comes out the broth tasted okay the wonton had absolutely no flavor not a single thing it was like just a soggy ball. Next our mushroom chicken comes out when I tell you it looked slimy and grimey like it came straight out of the packaging from the grocery store we were scared. (Photo below) then comes the orange chicken it tasted old and like someone mixed oil and chilis together and said boom orange chicken. Lastly the fried rice it was hard like it had been sitting all day and tasted like card board. If I could rate zero stars I definitely would.when the waitress came out to check on us she asked about our soup and we told her it tasted like nothing it had no flavor she goes oh it probably was just sitting in water for too long then goes would you like me to discount it? It was just very awkward and do not recommend to anyone we felt sick the moment we walked out of there.

Food is great, workers on the other hand make for an extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional dine in experience. After waiting 45 minutes for an online 30-minute order, I called wondering where the delivery was. The $$ had already been taken out of my bank account. The manager said the order hadnt even been put in yet, and that it would be another 30 minutes. They will get another bad review if it doesnt show up on time. Dont listen to the 1 star reviews. Ive been ordering delivery many times. Always tasty, generous portions. No delivery fee over 15$. Fast. They send cutlery, soy sauce etc without having to ask for it. They set you up well. You just know they care about the customer. The effort is there, and appreciated. Prices are decent, too. Ive only ever ordered delivery. They get it right every single time.

I dont mean to be unnecessarily cruel but conceivably the worst Chinese food Ive ever had. Let us review: Egg drop soup: ok, no issues, off to a great start Rangoons: Weirdly pale to the eye, one suspects they were undercooked. The crust sort of crunches yet is unpleasantly chewy like an unleavened cracker. Were they cooked previously and microwaved? Were they cooked from frozen? I am not a scientist. There is no grease to the touch so one would certainly wonder how the frying worked. Fried rice: Hard to explain, looks off to the eye. Shiny but not wet. Skimping on the ingredients but its cheap, thats to be expected. The taste, now thats novel. Its in the range of fried rice but cloudy? It leaves an unpleasant film on the teeth, tongue, and gums, and a worse aftertaste. At times something collects under the tongue at the back of the mouth. Did they cook with old or rancid oil? Was this also rewarmed from previous cooking? The mind boggles. Id almost recommend it because of how remarkable it is, but, again, no.

Zero stars for everything else. If you ask for Fried Rice, there will be an unmentioned $1 upcharge. The walls need cleaning. Theres dried splattered food on them. We probably wont come back.

I do door dash and has been running around all day with barely anytime today eat saw this little place on the way to a delivery and decided to call at 9:15pm to place an order. They were closing at 9:30 but were happy to take my order luckily. I got my food and went on tot he next delivery. I didn t realize until after they had forgotten to put my crab Rangoon in the bag. Bless their hearts. I called the next day and told them what happened and they were quick and happy to replace them and even threw in a couple egg rolls! Great customer service and on top of that wonderful food! The wonton soup is the best I have EVER HAD! I could eat it everyday and luckily they do great business so I am happy to support this local spot! Thank you Bao s Cafe!

Ordered what I thought was scheczuan chicken advertised as spicy with a red/orange sauce, what I got was this, absolute worst chicken I ve ever had along with almost no flavor to top, not even a hint of spiciness & just when I think maybe the rice would be decent, NOPE! Rice was terrible as well, tastes as if it was sitting out and they just reheated it! $37.95 later & I couldn t be more irritated, called the manager to complain about my meal and ask if they possibly made a mistake (they didn t) and he had the most nonchalant attitude I ve ever experienced from a manager! First time eating here. I order sesame balls, crab rangoons, and sesame chicken. First of all, I m not ordering here again. I don t think I m a good customer for this place. I didn t really like anything I ordered. This place gets 2 stars for quantity. They served me a lot of food for $25. The crab rangoons were really flat with very little filling. The dough was rolled thick as well. The sauce didn t help cover any of this. The flavor of the sesame balls would probably be alright if they were cooked through. I really couldn t eat them so that hard all I can offer. The sesame chicken is ok. The chunks are MASSIVE. They remind me of chicken popsicles when on a fork.

I tried this for the first time this week. I ordered by phone and the guy who answered the phone was somewhat curt. I was not sure he took the order correctly. He told me it would be ready for pick up in 10 minutes. I was not in a rush and went 20 minutes later When I got there the place was empty and the food was not ready for pick up. He told me to take a sit. When I got my food I saw napkins and was about to get some and he asked me why. He said that there were napkins in the bag and that was not true. The food was not any good. I would like to leave zero stars for the experience that me and my child just went through. My child is on the autism scale as well as suffers from ADHD. The server in the restaurant told me that another customer wanted us to be quiet because my child was being a little too emotional as I was trying to calm her down. So naturally we got up and left. As I sat outside I called back into the restaurant to explain to them that my daughter has autism as well as has ADHD and I didn t appreciate them confronting me while I was trying to calm my child down. And as I was on the phone with him he hung up in my face. I walked back inside to ask for the owner s phone number or an email so I can explain the situation of What happened.. And he told me that the owner doesn t speak English and that it wasn t his fault it was another customer. Which is totally understandable but at the same time he didn t have to hang up in my face. I am very disappointed in this experience. And people not understanding that there are children out there who just can t control their emotions sometimes. Don t blame it on the customer take responsibility and try to be patient for all ages .

When arriving to the location there was no one else there so my family a party of four saw no issue with time being an issue or delay on our food. When the waiter arrived to the table he spoke so fast and didn t even take our drink order right. He was so fast to do just one standard drink. He didn t even let my father in law say what he wanted and brought him a drink he didn t ask for. My husband then requested some tea like myself and the waiter just brought a cup for him to drink from my pot rather than bringing him his own pot as he requested. When I asked for a refill for our new pot he just refilled it with water and left the same tea bag in there, so essentially we drank hot water. The food was not good. I wasn t expecting high quality Chinese food, I don t think no one is, but at least some good quality. The meat smelled spoiled and tough. It was drowning in so much sauce almost like to cover the quality of the meat. Then to top it off the rice portion to the meat was a sad little kid size cup. I would rate the over all score a one star based off of the service and food quality. Honestly, Panda Express has better quality and we all know that is not real Asian cuisine.

Ordered a lunch special last week. The new guy answering the phone taking orders continually talked over me. When I got back to the office with my order, no Spring Roll, no soy sauce, no plasticware. Also, the WEBSITE menu does NOT reflect an apparent increase in prices. When I mentioned this to him when I was paying, he just laughed at me. I asked him Do you think thats funny? You need to have the website updated so people dont expect to pay one price, and another when they get here. I ordered again today. Same guy. When I went to pick up my order, I told him I did not get my Spring roll on the prior order but he didnt offer to make it right. (I had also called last week and got no where with this same guy.) As Im checking my bag for the order today, he grabs the bag and grabs the Spring roll out of my bag. Theres your Spring roll!! RUDE!!! I just wanted to make sure the order was correct today complete with soy sauce and plasticware. Im been a loyal customer for YEARS now but I may take my business elsewhere. Pro: Food is decent, better quality than 888. Cons: Expensive, barely speak English, rude workers, and repeatedly jack up your order. Final straw was they forgot an entree on my delivery two times in a row. I blew it off and shared the first time. The second time I was told it s too late and they would get me next time . I asked for them to refund my money for that entree only to which he hung up on me. I called back and asked for a manager to which I was told they don t have one, and hung up on me again. Went to the contact us form on their website and asked for someone to contact me they didn t, thus this review. I love the Baos in Rosenberg Texas. I have ordered from them more then I can remember online and I recently placed an order. Much to my surprise they never received my order and when I looked down I realized my order went to League City. I called the League city location to inform them of the mistake only to be hung up on twice and they refused to refund my money. I explained to them the drive was an hour away. By the time I would arrive to the restaurant they would be closed. They agreed to refund me only half. I was extremely disappointed. The Rosenberg location however took my order with ten minutes till closing after going back and forth with League City. This management can learn a thing or two from Rosenberg.

My Wife ordered or dinner from your League City location this evening to surprise me when I got home since I had a long day to s as low me to relax since I generally do the cooking. When I got home the food was not here yet which was know problem at all and allowed me to settle in. The order arrived shortly after I arrived. She opened it up and realized only part of the order was correct. My order of Le mein noodles with beef and jalapeños was Stir fried rice with jalapeños. I stated no problem just call and have them correct the order. We were not upset at this point. She called 6 times and no one answered. Than a young girl answers and my wife told her she sent us the wrong order and the lady immediately put her on hold for several minutes. She picks the phone back up and again my wife explained that she only got part of the order right and asked if she could send the correct dish. The girl had a stressful attitude and asked if we could just credit it to our next order? (I still have not eaten!) my wife said well no because I have not eaten. The girl said she had no drivers available to deliver it so my wife said she can deliver it later when the driver was available but the girl said does she mind picking it up! This has now gotten to a whole new level in conversation so my wife said just refund the money and that we will no longer order food from y all again and the girl said (sarcastically) that s fine. I guess your company is just fine losing clients. We have been ordering from your business for years. We live in Brittney Lakes for 8 years now so your business has been a blessing so close. Been here at least once a week. Hot n sour soup is always a winner. Service has been good. The owner has been cooking most of the meals we have ate. Its been consistant. Cashew chicken, shrimp with lobster sauce, beef n broccoli, and spring rolls are always made fresh.

I ordered the lunch special orange chicken with fried rice and wonton soup. First of all the fried rice was BLAND no flavor whatsoever! The wonton soup broth was so clear it literally looked like old dish water I opened to smell it and it literally had no smell so no flavor I he orange chicken was the only decent portion of the meal and I had to use the gravy just to eat the rice because it lacked that much flavor. I was very disappointed with my food. I wish Szechuan League City wasn t shut down only reason I tried been his place out. Never again!

My sister and I love Baos! We are vegetarian and they are always so friendly and accommodating when we ask them to remove certain ingredients. The food is always fresh, ready in just a few minutes, and delicious. Today we used the delivery option for the first time, and our lunch was delivered to us within 30 minutes. Were so happy to see them open again!

This restaurant has really great, fresh food and wonderful customer service. The food was out in a matter of minutes and it was bursting with flavor. It seems like most people order carryout as opposed to dining in but I love grabbing a booth and dining in! The staffs hospitality was my favorite part, they were super.
