We are regulars here. We did give up on this restaurant for a while. Headed to loooong wait times at Jimmy Changas. Came back for another sit down. We generally have two waiters that we bounce back and forth with. Service amazing. Food consistent tender. Margaritas hit the spot.

Five stars for the manager Tyler and the best beef fajitas I ve ever had. This was our first visit to Red river cantina. We ordered drinks, an appetizer and the one pound of mixed chicken and beef fajitas. When we alerted Tyler that the chicken was dry and over cooked, he promptly took care of it. The beef fajitas were scrumptious. Really, really good. I will definitely come back to this restaurant!

Got there went it first opened so service was great! Ordered Nachos Tampico and Brisket enchiladas. It came with a drizzle of barbecue sauce. It was good if you want a mix of barbecue in your enchiladas. Nachos were huge and so good!! Other great choices on the menu so more to try!

Generally the food isn t that bad, but I ve had better. However, this time around I was truly disappointed. I ordered the Nachos Tampico for pickup and the menu should have indicated that it was BYON -build your own nachos. I took the nachos out of the bag and what it ended up being was a container of chips and the fajita chicken (which wasn t enough with all the chips provided), melted cheese, beans, and a container of sour cream/pico/guac. Will never order this again.

Came to lunch after church today. Took server at least 10 minutes to initially visit table. Food was OK. Server asked if we needed to go boxes or still working on it. I said no I m still working on it. Was STILL EATING and server came back with handheld computer for us to pay. I said I m not ready. Why are you rushing me when you see I m still eating. Restaurant was not crowded. Should have asked to speak to manager but didn t. My bad there.

Food was absolutely dreadful today! This is one of our favorite spots usually, but today was the worst experience I have ever had! Prices absolutely insane and food was the worst it has ever been! Sad that yet another place that has been loved for years is now no better than the rest of the places in the area. I will take my chances at taco bell next time I am in the mood for Mexican food. My wife and I stopped in here for lunch for the first time. We were set at the table right away. We had Bebe as our waitress. She was wonderful. I drink a lot of tea and she refilled my glass multiple times almost as soon as it was empty. My wife asked her for a entree suggestion and she seemed highly knowledgeable and gave her experiences with different dishes. The queso and salsa were very good. My wife got the chicken enchiladas with cilantro sauce. I got the chicken veracruz. Everything was amazing. I highly recommend this place and Bebe. We will definitely be coming back and often.

Ordered fajitas for 2 for delivery. $45 and it came with 3 corn tortillas. I called to let them know and Eva was rude and told me I could come and get more. Don t be fooled by the packed parking lot up front, there is plenty of parking and plenty of seating. Lots of people doesn t translate into long wait times either. The service was quick and the food was great. One tiny issue they need a new recipe for the charro beans. Charro beans won t make or break any restaurant, and they certainly won t keep us from coming back. Parking: Go around the building to the south side.

Con- Tonight we had dinner and honestly I was very disappointed. We re normally not in this area. Normally our dinners with Red River are really good. My son and myself had the Mahi Mahi Marisco $32.95 a piece. Was over cooked and tough extremely salty then normal. The shrimp and scallops were cooked right. The rice tonight was hard. My spouse had the Burrito Classico $16.95 I wished I had taken a picture you could clearly tell the meat was more than over cooked and dry. A pictures worth a thousand words right? Presentation before leaving the kitchen should have been caught and the back kitchen manager should have said hey guys this can t go to the table like this. I can only assume not many were dining after 7:42pm on Sunday night. An hour and half prior to closing it feels as if we had the left outs from a possible planed under busy Sunday. Outside my son s plate nearly finished ( we had not eaten all day ) the waiter asked if we wanted to take the leftovers of other 2 plates he stated yall barely ate your dinners. We of course didn t say anything as it was 45 mins till closing. We were not going to complain as people were overly cleaning in areas as if ( my feeling) to hurry those sections to carry conversations and chit chats else where because we have things to and want to leave. Tea was not cold with a little ice in glasses, chips were it appears as the end of the days very broken pieces that were not big enough to scoop your queso. Not worth the $130 spent. Pro - Waiter was overly excited in greeting, taking order. Queso was very good. Restaurant very clean. As a business owner myself I understand let s hurry so we can leave early. I know cooking at home is better, unfortunately we live a busy on the go

The Bartenders on 4-4-24 evening. Care about there customers. The most important thing of being a bartender is to talk to your customers. To make them feel like theyre welcome. Well the bartenders that night not only talked with all there customers they made me feel very important. Thats how to bartend. Not a easy job.but these kids know what they are doing. Menu price does not reflect ticket price. Burrito Monterrey was 17.95 and ticket was 23.95. No where does it say on menu for $6 up charge for beef. After meal I asked about this after I paid. Heres the problem... Menu prices are not accurate. Most restaurants will note when there are upcharges. Nope, not here... You wont know that youve been charged extra for something unless you catch it yourself. So be warned that it seemed a little sneaky. Service was okay. Food okay. Drinks okay. I went for dinner this evening and had a horrible experience with the waitress. Really short and not personable at all. Keep in mind it was not busy at all and she kept running from the table. I order beef fajita enchiladas and received ground beef. As I waiting to inform our waitress, she did not come back until my wife was done with her food. Keep in mind she said she would bring her a refill of water and did not do so until she was done with her food. I am disappointed in the service received since she stopped at the table next to us 3 times before she finally came over. Then I had a gentleman come over and say, you order beef fajita and got ground beef? Ummm duh! At this point Im done with this place. He said your food will be out in 5 min. Once again my wife was done with her food already and I have the waitress say no you said beef, so I assume you wanted ground beef. But if she needed clarification after I asked for beef fajita enchiladas she should have asked like when she asked if I wanted onions. Then randomly a check pops up to us without asking if we wanted dessert or another beer or shall I say water. At this point I want to leave so I can drink the water I have in the truck. To see that the wrong food was comped was a disgrace. Not once did Monica show remorse for her inability to serve us this evening. Only did I get no you order beef. First time coming and probably the last time.

This is a nice looking restaurant, food is middle of the road tex-mex and the service is below average for what youd expect and on top of all of that EXPENSIVE. I paid $80 for queso, one margarita, one meal and one kids meal. I tried this place 5 years ago when they opened and wasnt impressed, Decided to give it another try and sad to say I dont think Ill be back anytime soon. Food and drinks were great! It was moderately busy for a Tues., but not crazy like a weekend night. Service was very slow. We were sat at our table at 7:30 and didnt leave until 9. Server rarely came to the table, and when I ordered my 2nd drink, he completely forgot. It happens, Im sure it will be better next time around.

I m very disappointed in this place. The plates we were given when we ordered queso were dirty. The napkins were dirty. The food took way to long (many tables around us were complaining too.) they messed up the order as well. There was no toilet paper in the women s restroom and the worker that was in there texting didn t care. I won t come here again. It was so disappointing and seemed like it had potential. At least the waiter was nice.

Excellent BAR staff that were very customer service oriented , including your great ambiance. On the negative side Red River has become much too pricey especially for barkey above average food and very pricey for average traditional Mexican drinks in comparison to most other Mexican restaurants in our area ....be careful of your competition with those prices just ambiance wont cut it, and kudos to the bar staff yesterday.

Very happy with food and service. However my only issue, which will limit my visits to that particular Mexican Restaurant is the Prices. Their prices for their meals are the absolute the most expensive of any Mexican Restaurant in this area, nearly twice as expensive for fajitas, margaritas and others. No doubt the owners are making tons of money but should consider not being so greedy and charging the Outrageous prices in Especially in todays unstable economy. UPDATE - (Owner did respond later and asked what location I was referring to, I attempted to respond but the App will not allow me to respond).
