I went I. And placed an order to go spending $80.00. The string beans with beef was over cooked, the fried rice was grease soaked, the kug po chicken had no vegetables. The wonton soup had soy sauce in it making it salty and the lady was not that friendly. I am very disappointed that I will never be able to go back. I used to love going there but the last. Purple of times were bad but this time was the icing on the cake

I typically support local places when I come back home from being on the road. I always make a point to get Carry out from Papa Chens. I get the same dish. House egg foo young, fry the rice. The new woman at the counter could not comprehend what I was saying. The rice part seemed to be the hard part. It was as if I was in a Abbott and Costello skit. I was very hungry and very tired. (Bad combination) I was polite and explained that this was nonsense. I left and I may go back but it wont be anytime soon. Prices are high but truthfully they are high everywhere.

We loved our food. We ordered Mongolian Delight and Dragon Phoenix (General Tso chicken, and shrimp with mixed vegetables). Crab Rangoons were made fresh and crispy with a nice warm center. Plates were garnished. It was a lovely dinner. Service was excellent.

Incredibly bland. The most notable reasons I will look elsewhere for Chinese was the sweet n sour has been consistently watery and without flavor. The other is the large wonton I usually order always has only two or three wontons total. It seems they are cutting costs and the food really suffers as a result.

I will NEVER order from here again! They charge for items and services that are customarily FREE at any other restaurant. They charge you for packets, any and ALL substitutions! I expect an upcharge for a substitution thats worth more....but to sub a like item for a like item?? Im surprised they arent charging for napkins! Its just the principle of the entire transaction! Charging for soy sauce at a Chinese restaurant is like charging for ketchup at Whataburger! A dinner for 4 was the same price that I would have paid at 888! This place is closer and just more convenient but they DEFINITELY ARENT 888! There food is ehhh... bland, skimpy on the meat, sloppy and NOT worth the price AND they ARE REALLY RUDE! She called me, then YELLED saying she didnt want to listen to me or deal with me...after I questioned her for adding $5.71 to switch fried rice for LoMein and questioned why they charge 50 cents for sweet n sour sauce for egg rolls and $1.00 for putting soy sauce on my lettuce wraps??? Really? Then her manager got on the phone and started complaining about everyone always wanting EXTRA,EXTRA,EXTRA. Telling me that she pays for the packets therefore I NEED to pay for EVERYTHING I order and that everyone wants CHANGE CHANGE SUBSTITUTIONS AND CHANGE and that messes everything up. Then I asked her to just cancel my order and she said it would be 5 to 7 days before I received my money back?? Again yelling and telling me that she isnt a bank and its not her problem! She needs to learn how to manage her business and learn how to speak to her customers. Customer Service is a ZERO at this place! --If you are so miserable and hate your job... please do everyone a favor and find another job! Your customers dont want to listen to your problems or know that your having a bad day. A language barrier isnt an excuse to be rude and if your English is good enough to tell me your problems, then its good enough to be NICE TO YOUR CUSTOMERS.-- I think I know why shes having a bad day and not able to manage her business... she probably has a problem with costumer retention! Nice place; I liked the entrance. Friendly staff. I asked for Rice with vegetables and Beef Broccoli: a few cents under $20.00 and was ready to go in 7 minutes. Rice was delicious, but I must say (regarding the broccoli and beef), I got a lot of broccoli. Wouldve loved to have a bit more beef, because it tasted very good.

The quality of the food is amazing. This place far exceeds the typical Chinese restaurant. They created a flower out of beets; I have never seen that ever, not even when I worked in Manhattan. The seasame chicken was cooked just right and had the right amount of breading, and it was seasoned well. The brown rice was cooked but not dry like most places. My wife ordered the House Special Mei Fun minus the shrimp. She ordered Sprite because she thought that it would be greasy like at most Chinese restaurants, but it wasnt greasy at all. Lastly, they gave us both a small sample of their strawberry mousse. It was very light and fluffy and it had a strawberry shortcake quality to it.

Have been here dozens of times, and the food is great, but they messed up my order, gave me chicken instead of beef, and white rice instead of fried rice. On top of that the delivery guy had the nerve to ask for a bigger tip when i had gave him 4$ on a 15 dollar ticket. My wife and I love this little place. The food is fantastic especially the Hot and Sour Soup and the Shrimp Rolls. One day we were late for lunch and noticed that the owner and an employee were eating some Cauliflower and it looked so good that we asked if we could order and they said yes. The item was not on the menu. Really special. We have ordered several vegetables some of which we have no idea what we were eating but we have never been disappointed. My wife does not like most Chinese Restaurants but she and I both love Papa Chen Diner in League City. Really clean restaurant including the restrooms. By the way my wife and I lived in China years ago and I can tell you that most of the items on menu are real Chinese but like most Chinese Restaurants in USA they do have dishes you would never see in China. By the way China has the best Chinese Restaurants! LOL

I cant recommend this place, I got the General Chicken and the flavor was ok at first but then i noticed it had a strong metallic aftertaste. The Coke I had also didnt taste right almost like it was some off brand but I noticed that they do have a coke a cola fountain so I have no idea why it tastes so strange..

Food is always good but tonight we ordered orange beef and got orange chicken, it was still good but just not what we ordered and paid for. Restaurant is closed so I guess it is what it is. Probably will try some place else next time.

Was making $50 orders every week for delivery. One time it took the driver a hour and half to get here i told him the directions ( he was on the other side of street 1 min awsy) he didnt listen called me three more times when he arrived my food was cold i forgave them because this is only Chinese delivery around but now when i tryed to make a order the lady says she cant deliver for some stupid reason i asked do you not want my business? And she was unresponsive i will not recommend this place to anyone. Very rude and some of the food isnt that great i would recommend Chinese wok at least they are very nice people over there.
