Food was not great! Nachos had no cheese and when asked they said they don t put a lot of cheese so the chips don t get soggy. Then why are they called nachos? It was a bunch of dry chips. Then at the end they added a table charge; mind you we were only 4 people, but then still wanted to request a tip. Pizza was cold when arrived to the table. I won t be going back.

Service is horrible, every time we go, which was a lot!!! Young waitresses stand in the corner, vape, and play on their phones. When you do finally their attention or flag one down, it takes 10-15 mins for your drinks to come out . Even when it s not busy!

Place is really slow on service when busy... As expected.... but way worse. No music apps like AMI or TouchTunes. Youll have to listen to the basic BS Texas oriented tunes. Drinks are good and plenty but take awhile to get when remotely busy. Food is as expected for bar food. Overall, a decent place to spend a couple hours to kill time. Dont expect much and you wont be disappointed.

A group of my colleagues and I decided to try this place because it was advertised everywhere. We walked in and seated ourselves. There were only about 2 other group in there. We waited for a few and no servers in sight. We saw someone in the kitchen and they saw us and made eye contact a few times with us and still completely ignored us. When we asked the cook if he could get the waiters attention, we got nothing. 15 minutes of being there and not once were we even acknowledged.

I wanted to like hoppes, it has a great atmosphere and the food is decent. They seem a little understaffed though and it can take awhile to be served. In all honesty I was excited about the simulator they have there but didnt like it compared to e6 the graphics are lacking and trying to putt on that thing is quite difficult. I think the thing that grinder my gears the most is the silly extra charge that put for using a card. Literally charged me $3 extra. What joke that is. Include it in your pricing no one wants to see an extra charge for not using cash.

Post Hurricane Beryl, and it looked like a wait-staff of 2. The wait time was a little long but understandable with the circumstances at hand. The Lemon/vodka frozen drinks were decent as well as my queso fries. We ordered to-go plates for our post storm crew. Ill give this place another chance under better weather conditions.

This was my first time here. The atmosphere was nice but on the loud side but that is to be expected since it is a bar. The food was great but the service was soooooo SLOW. Asked for a coke and water and it took 15 minutes to get that. Beers were empty for a while and we had to stop the waitress and ask for another. It took more than 10 minutes to get the beer and we were already done with our meal and had to ask another server to get our bill and then our waitress appears with the beer we had ordered at least 10 minutes before. Hoping service greatly improves because the food was pretty good!

Wife and I came here for lunch. It was seat yourself seating. Place was decorated really nice and looked really clean. Menus were brought quickly and our drink orders taken. Our waitress was extremely nice and professional. However, after our drink orders were taken everything else took forever. There was no sense of urgency within the restaurant/bar at all. We ordered chips with salsa and queso as an appetizer along with Buffalo chicken fries. Chips and queso was ok but the Buffalo chicken fries were absolutely horrible. I dont know what kind of Buffalo sauce that is but it is absolutely disgusting and taste nothing like Buffalo sauce. I got a hamburger with bacon and cheese with fries. I thought it was ok and really just average which was kind of disappointing because I had heard the burgers were really good. Wife got a beef fajita skillet which she said the meat had good flavor and was not tough. Overall not too impressed with this bar and grill.

I haven t done a review in a while. But with my views reaching 100,000, I feel like I have to put one about this business. I used to be a frequent customer with my husband. My husband works long hours. I asked him to meet me here one night for drinks. He was tired, but agreed. I had no reason to think that this would be any different than any other visit. I had noticed the quality of the waitresses had gone downhill since they opened. I visit numerous restaurants and bars in the Bay Area because I m a writer. I make sure that I have a relationship with the owners or at least managers. A lot of them have contacted me after my reviews and they fix whatever problems there are. That s what makes them good business people. Anyway, we had drinks, We also ate food like we always do. Then I went to the restroom. When I came back, the waitress seemed annoyed with us and brought me a glass of water and brought my husband a glass of water. She said absolutely nothing. I started to suspect that she was angry, because I had given a very large tip to the lady that brought our food, which was not our waitress. What she didn t know was that I knew this woman from another business. I have gone to many bars in my lifetime. I m 52 and my husband is 60. So I know that when a customer is served water, that is their polite way of saying you have had too much. I immediately wanted to talk to the manager, to possibly clear up any misunderstanding he started telling me that he was watching us all night, it kind of surprised me really. I am very observant, because I m usually going to write a review at some point. For whatever reason I got the impression that they wanted us to leave and did not want our business any longer. He told me that my husband was falling asleep at the table while I was in the restroom so it was obvious that we were drunk. Of course I got upset like any customer would, being accused of something that s completely false. And also because I was sad that my husband was so tired, and I had forced him to go to this place. So I chalked this up to him being an inexperienced manager/owner and having some paranoia with having customers drunk and possibly causing an accident later, and he was just trying to protect his liability. He even started quoting laws to me. I just want future customers to know that it s not a good idea to have more than one drink or two drinks here. If you stay too long, they start getting the idea that you re an alcoholic or a drunk. Other than that, the environment is beautifully decorated. The music selections are great sometimes. It is extremely loud in the evenings so it s hard to hear the music because it s such a small space. It s a mixture of young and also older customers, which makes it great. The food I would give a C+. It s a little bit better than bar food, But I wouldn t call it unique. You have your normal, big giant pretzels, nachos, etc. The waitresses are A little eccentric, asking personal questions. Telling you about their home lives. It reminded me of being in a strip club, because strippers usually do this to get tipped more. A lot of the waitresses and girls that work here are refugees From the sports bar that closed across the freeway, called Tight Ends I know this because I was a frequent customer there as well. Tight Ends did not have a good reputation with the city. They had a lot of ethical violations. I m not sure if Hoppes grill has any relations with that business, I would hope not. I don t see Hoppes grill lasting, If they continue to kick out customers that generate revenue. When I visit a business, I m not there just to buy one drink. I usually buy dinner and drinks. I also am not there to look at unfriendly faces. My advice to Hoppes You cannot run a business without risks. You also cannot run a business without customers. Know the difference between the two.

The food and drinks are excellent, the wait staff are friendly and attentive but it is way too loud to enjoy a meal with others if you want to have a conversation. They have loud music, also the volume from multiple television channels and everyone trying to talk over it in a small high ceiling room. I would suggest lowering the music volume considerably so people dont have to yell to be heard by others.

For a sports bar the real food is really good! Surprisingly the best grilled salmon in the area! Service can be hit or miss like anywhere, however if you ask for and get Allyson, you re set. The food was delicious! I LOVED the fries. They had a unique cut, really good. The onion rings are also great. Neither were greasy. The buffalo chicken sandwich is good, pepperjack burger excellent, and the Phily Cheesesteak Eggrolls were super tasty! The golf setup is really cool! Its like a mix of Top Golf and Golden Tee. Next time we will have to bring our clubs! Service was good. Everyone was pleasant, including the food runner. They should have a greeter or a sign saying to seat yourself (if there is one, it was not noticeable). Its kind of a weird vibe when you walk in and have to ask someone what to do. Overall, loved it!

My parents and I visited and had a great time. The food was absolutely delicious with home-made onion rings and really unique French fries. Fun Friday night drinks and appetizers or you can also get a larger meal, huge burgers, plenty of sandwiches and more cool place to hang out or meet up with friends, only problem I will say there are no acoustics extremely loud. Can t carry on a conversation very well but the atmosphere and the drinks and food do make up for that. Everything was delicious but the brisket tacos were a little blah ..also had a odd hint of bbq sauce of some sort, but not really enough meat for the price all. Cheese was ewey gooey deliciousness, pretzel was soft hot and salted just right . Philly sandwich with the new potato chip fries were thick and soft. I am an old fashion French fry gal long and crunchy baby. Over all fun time I would suggest you find more parking areas!!!

Hoppe s is our quick and easy go to place! The staff is so sweet. While it does get busy in there I feel like we always get taken care of in a timely manner and if not someone always lets us know they ll be with us shortly, etc. Love the buffalo chicken sandwich and shrimp tacos. While we usually only order beer or mixed drinks, I was slightly disappointed to see the sweet tea poured out of a jug but nothing that won t keep us coming back.

Update: have been back 3 times for appetizers and drinks. Its our new favorite. Our first bad experience was an isolated event, and all our food has since been very good. Waitstaff is fantastic. Good Atmosphere and great menu selections. Service was also prompt. The food was terrible. We had pizza that tasted frozen. 3 orders of macaroni that was cold. Brisket grilled cheese that was cold and overloaded with lettuce and tomatoes, and lastly, a cheesesteak that had no flavor and cold meat. Hopefully, it was a one off, will try again.

We ate here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. The atmosphere is ok and the place is clean. My bloody mary was really good. The tea isnt brewed and was poured out of a red diamond jug, which explains why my daughter didnt care for it. All the food was ok, nothing to write home about or would bring me back again. The only thing we didnt care for was the brisket. I cant even explain it. It just tasted weird. Servers were friendly enough, but we waited forever for menus, waited forever again to order. TL;DR great food, okay beer selection, hearing protection strongly recommended Once you get past the blast furnace created by the two giant torches by the front door, this place has potential but misses the mark on a few things. The food is excellent and reasonably priced, but the beer selection, while is better than many places, could use a bit more variety and at least a few more local options would. However, the big problem is the loud music and resulting overall noise levels. The acoustics in the bar dont help but with the music up to 11 and people trying to talk over it you often have to practically yell to be heard. Its still a good place to get a beer and watch the game, but its not the best place to go if you want to have a conversation with someone, and you should be prepared to repeat your order once or twice on a loud night. Besides the noise, the atmosphere isnt bad, though the scantily clad waitstaff might not be everyones cup of tea, and the torches outside really arent appropriate in the summer heat. Finally, I recommend bringing cash (possibly in addition to a pair of earplugs), as they are are trying to be sneaky about increasing prices, and are now charging extra to pay with a card.

Very neat place. Small and well kept. I had their ribeye with a side dish the ribeye came with a steak butter, it really didnt need the steak butter for the piece of meat was very good and tender. I gave the food a four-star because the steak butter had an overpower taste of pepper corn in it which made us take a little too spicy. Overall it was a great place and you should check it out I will go back if I get a chance.

Great little neighborhood sports bar with friendly staff and good food. My favorite is the chicken penne alfredo which comes with a side of garlic bread. Mmmm. Cheesy. Garlicky. Toasty. The burgers are great, too. A thick, juicy beef patty on a toasted bun. Toppings are fresh and delicious.

i am 22 years of age and i got my id check and got my drink they then came and rechecked my valid state of texas id and said it was not valid leading them to take my drink out of my hands. Never in my 2 years of drinking have i came across such a disservice to the alcohol community. The server was really nice and cool tho

This was my first time here. Im not that old but it was SO loud in here that I couldnt even hear my husband talking right across from me. It wasnt that busy inside but we still had to wait awhile for a waitress to come by to give us menus and get our drink order. The restaurant was very clean and there was a lot to look at on the walls. We decided to order chips and queso. It came out hot but I did not care for the taste or the seasoning on the chips. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese with fries. Im not sure why they call them fries because they are definitely more like thick, hard chips. That same seasoning that was on the chips was on the fries so I didnt care for them either. The brisket was very odd tasting. I definitely do not recommend it. The waitress was nice but based on the food, I will not return. I cannot comment on any of the alcohol because I just ordered water.

Been here a few times now, lunch/brunch menu is good and mimosas are a good price. However, we always seem to struggle getting good and timely service. This morning we sat down at a table, and we were sitting there for about 15 minutes and still no one came and gave menus or asked for drink orders (it was not busy inside, only 3 or 4 other tables sat who already had drinks and food). I want to see this place do well, but I m not sure I ll be back due to the poor service.

First off anyone who thinks this place has good food and writes a review had one to many to drink. Therfore making that review irrelevant. Brisket tastes as if it has aged in a sea salt bath drenched in slap your momma seasoning. Chips coated with the same heavy heavy salt and possibly to much dan os seasoning. Dont get me started on the tea/dirt water. I have never had a tasteless avocado till today it was an eye opener. Question how does one even get a tasteless avocado? All the food tastes worse than freezer burned left overs at grandmas house. Be, fore warned any place that has to have the music blaring TV blasting and have to wait 10 minutes before getting a drink, may not be the place for dinner. This is low end bar food which the bowling alley on Bayarea Blvd has them beat with way better food and cheaper drinks plus they have bowling. On a better note ( if the food tasted better it would be awesome ) the food price was OK. Once a waitress finally gets to you, service is decent. The atmosphere is eclectic and feasible. OK place to hang out but bring your own sandwich if your hungry, and possibly your own set-ups. Gonna go drink a gallon of water now to flush out all this salt. Hopefully I dont have a stroke.

This place is clearly a popular place. We visited once before during the day and it was busy. Tonight we attempted and it was packed nowhere to seat at the bar or anywhere else. We walked around and we weren t approached or even talked to by anyone. Too bad don t think we will back. Please notify us when you obtain a bigger spot.

Food was good, service was outstanding but whiskey prices, and beer prices kinda ridiculous.. go at happy hour and you ll probably have an alright time cost wise but damn 10 somthing for a craft beer draft (which isn t cheaper at happy hour) 5 bucks for a shiner bottle? Seems a bit ridiculous to me whiskey prices though either over charging or you supplier is ripping you off

First time going there and it was great , a really cool place. Didnt eat but I heard the food is good . Just drank beers at the bar to unwind from working. If you have a chance to come to this place , stop in and drink , eat and visit you will have a great time . The staff makes you feel welcome and are always making sure you have anything you need . Im not from this area but next time Im back in town I will visit this place and drink a cold beer again.
