I had a high level of this restaurant to taste some good dishes and above all the attention to its customers, but I know the owner decided to open another one on 359. And well, when you dont have the right staff, thats when the problems start. I am a frequent customer, well it was more like it but they took all the most trained staff to the new branch and mistake everything was wrong from the kitchen to the service, today I took the task of visiting the one at 359 and it was super good the same Super trained attention, the manager very attentive, I felt the same as when I was at Jackaman, the food itself everything was perfect Its further away for me but I dont care. Be careful with the kitchen staff and waiters at the Eduardos Matriz. Be careful with the flour tortilla, it breaks and it is very unpleasant to eat like that, new photo from today at Eduardos 359. Thanks to the staff for their fine attention.

Restaurant clean and ample amount of parking. When we walk in, the atmosphere felt fun, authentic, a pick me up type of atmosphere. My son told me that the people at the bar were attentive and friendly. We were here for a baby shower/gender reveal and we had a great time. We had our own room and our waitress never let our glasses empty. Chips and salsa were great, a bit spicy and so flavorful. The chips were made fresh and did not come out of a store brand. I had the fajitas and my wife had the tampiquena plate. It came with 2 enchiladas, beans & rice pico de gallo, crispy tacos, and beef steak strips with corn and flour tortillas. It was still sizzling as it came to my sitting. There were 30 people and all our food came out hot. Great service. The next time we are in Laredo, we will definitely came back. We had such a great time.

First time diner at Eduardo s and I was not impressed. First of all my Spanish was not good enough to communicate with the staff. What s more they seemed aloof but that could have been because they couldn t communicate with us. A small dish of chips and a ramekin of salsa was presented. The entree was steak fajitas with rice and cowboy beans. While the portion of this was more than adequate only about two thirds of the steak was edible as it was a poor cut of beef and full of chewy gristle. My companion got the same thing and had the same results. The best part was the flour tortillas and cowboy beans. All in all a bad experience that I won t repeat. Recommend you don t visit.

Dinner tonight at Eduardo s was delicious. Chips with spinach dip were crunchy. I could not stop munching on them. The brisket I ordered was tasteful. My dessert of tiramisu had just the right amount of sweetness to it. I could not resist the temptation of eating it all. Unlike many restaurants in town, Eduardo s lighting, for me, is my type of lighting. Not dim and not too bright. Our server, Juan Carlos, was courteous and accommodating. He served us our orders in less than 15 minutes. That s quick, I would say. There were not too many diners tonight, which was good for us. We stayed in the restaurant for a good four hours just chatting away with our friends. Eduardo s was our happy place today!

I was in the mood for a steak and baked potato so I chose Eduardos tonight. I ordered the traditional ribeye steak dinner which comes with a baked potato and grilled mixed vegetables. I gave them four stars on their food because the ribeye steak was only about 1/2 inch thick and in my opinion, steak should be at a minimum 1 inch thick. I prefer mine an inch and a half thick and of course, medium rare or rare. Thats the only way to eat steak! The reason I gave them only four stars on service is because hardly any of their wait staff spoke English. I am, by far, not a racist but this is a recurring problem in our border towns. The service industry needs to realize that the majority of people in this country do not speak Spanish and at least half your staff should be able to somewhat understand and speak English!!

Service was ok but they kept getting things wrong. My ribeye steak seemed a little small for a 12 ounce and was tough for a ribeye. Came with onions and a chile toreado, and as you can see in the picture the size of that is a joke. They forgot the quesadillas that came with it so I had to ask the waiter for them. One of the quesadilla tortillas broke where they fold. Another person on our table asked for the enchiladas without cheese and they brought them with cheese. He asked the waiter to change them and they brought them again with cheese. We got an order of guacamole and they brought a tiny container. We asked if that was the right size and they said no and went to change it for the bigger/right size. The stuffed jalapeños were good.

Worse service ever! Would not recommend this place at all! For a Sunday being dead in the evening and having to get up and ask for service a few times? The Bloody Mary I ordered was just tomato juice with vodka and to cost $9 was a joke. My server was Garcia C who was just not a good server. No one who worked there spoke any English. I understand we live in a border town and majority is Spanish but what happens when customers who dont speak any Spanish go for service? Ive been doing consumer reports reviews for many many years now and have seen this place pop up as a good great place to go to. I am very disappointed after seeing all the hype over this restaurant. The atmosphere was just stagnet and dull. Two thumbs DOWN! The managers name is Ronaldo M. Who did nothing to assist in this issue of terrible service. Ronaldo showed no concern whatsoever. Out of the 100s of locations Ive reviewed in all my years, Eduardos is on my top 3 WORST EVER! I didnt even bother to try the food after tasting that tomato soup with vodka!

Although the food was good, the cashier and manager were SO bad, I will not be returning!! I went for lunch with a big party and split a plate with a friend. The waitress (Maria) was a sweetheart and was very attentive. After the meal, my friend and I put both our cards down and asked to be charged half each. Maria said okay and took our cards with the single slip that had the total for our meal - $23.97. When we got the receipts to sign, we noticed that each of us had been charged the full amount of $23 instead of half. We went to the cashier to advise what happened. The cashier was another story. When we told him that he erroneously charged 2 times, he started to get upset and said, Well, what did you want? I saw two cards and thought she wanted me to charge half each. We said, Yes, thats what we wanted. You charged each of us the full amount. At this point, he began to get upset and when she came over, he began to become rude to us AND to her! He was fumbling around, taking calls, not being attentive, nor focused on us. He said he didnt know what we wanted and that she didnt explain. Then he told her. Well, then someone didnt pay. He then said he was going to give cash and that my friend and I could take half. I said that was fine, but he needed to take back a dollar and give 4 quarters. He could not comprehend that we cannot split $23 dollars with three $1 dollar bills. He then became even more rude, rather than trying to resolve the situation. The manager walked over and, instead of trying to calm the situation and listen, he said, But why are you getting mad? I asked him, Are you serious??? Just give me the money correctly so I can leave. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

I am reluctantly giving two stars to this place and this is because of the service we received. We originally were going to Military Wings ( I believe their sister restaurant). Sign on door said they were closed due to special event, but that we could be seated at Eduardo s and still order from them. We proceeded to Eduardo s and were enthusiastically received at the door. We told them we were here for the wings and they said no problem and sat us down. Host took our drink order and left. Our waitress came a couple of minutes later with our drinks and left. No introduction, no I ll be back for your order, nothing. Around 10-15 minutes elapsed and she finally came back to take our order. Now the restaurant was not that packed there were three parties of six or more people in the restaurant but they were being attended by other waiters. Our wings finally came and she dropped them off and left to clean a table. She came back and asked if we need anything. I responded, Well plates would be good along with ketchup. Unapologetic she brought them and refilled our drinks. We finished eating and asked for a to go box along with our check. We paid and she went to ring us up. And I might be exaggerating a tiny bit here but she kinda just threw the little booklet with out credit card and receipt. My wife and I just looked at each other in disbelief. Our waitress heeded no attention to us, did not thank us , nothing she just left. Sadly this experience has diminished any thought of coming back to Eduardo s to eat. The wings from Military Wings for any of you interested , were pretty good but the service weighed very heavily in our experience here.

Ordered dinner Togo last weekend while in town for work. Had the Ribeye dinner which was super thin for the price and probably not the correct weight advertised on menu. Baked potato and salad were good. Also ordered the Salmon dinner which was actually really good..fish and veggies were cooked perfectly..the rice however is pointless..it is just white rice with a couple of pieces of corn thrown in and some of the rice was hard. Probably should ask for more veggies if possible to substitute for rice.

A 5* restaurant for the price of a 2*! I ordered the Blackened Salmon and feel like I ordered the best thing on the menu! The salmon was seasoned & cooked to absolute perfection. The vegetables were also grilled to perfection as they were thoroughly cooked/sweated but still had a firmness that could not have been timed more perfectly. The rice had a gentle flavor that nicely balanced the real stars of the plate. And the bread was so soft/fresh with again a perfect amount of grill to toast it with just the right amount of buttery golden brown & flavor from a properly seasoned grill. Loved the salsa also, just the right amount of heat without taking my breath away . Way to go chef, you obviously love food & love what you do. Came back for tacos the next day, they were stunningly delicious! In fact, they brought a tear to my eye. Just sayin Came back for a third consecutive dinner. Chicken Milanese- yet again, the chef was on point with a perfectly pounded, panko breaded & fried chicken breast. I would be remiss if I didn t brag on Loudi. I really appreciated her helpfulness and warm friendly service that anticipated every need. I love this restaurant! Came back for a 4th time in the same week, this time for the Brisket. I neglected to take a photo but that s ok as no pic could have done justice to how good it was. I m so glad I didn t start with the brisket on my first visit, as I probably would have just ordered the brisket every single time I came. It s that good! Excellent food and the employees are wonderful and attentive. Live singer on weekends. Nice patio if you want to eat outside. The salsas and chips are great. I highly recommend El Potrero (pictured). Blackened salmon was moist and delicious.

Can only speak for the plate I ordered. Basil Chicken Breast, comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The chicken was mediocre, mashed potatoes were horrible powdered form and the vegetables were grilled but did not taste well. I will say the service was great, very friendly staff.
