We came by and everything was locked up. We called and found out they only do tours and you have to get an appointment. They have no appointments until after we leave. Dont waste your time.

Visiting them is a very nice place where you learn a lot about water treatments and where we get the water here in Laredo and something about the fauna here in the region.

Grass should be green instead of yellow [dry] considering it is a water plant facility and there is an abundance of water within the plant.

There is a place to sit down for a while and get some snacks from the vending machines but on the other side there is a place where it shows you how the water is used and where it came from, you can even get into a scale that tells you how much water there is in your body.

The Laredo Water Museum is an educational and informative must see place for everyone. Its a modern hands-on museum, giving valuable insights into the world of water, for instance the water consumption of households, the importance of the Rio Grandes ecosystem and a step-by-step explanation of how water is processed. One is asked to sign in upon entering, but strangely enough there was no museum staff member around while we were there.

I love it, and its free admission. Laredo needs more attractions like this for kiddos. Too bad it is closed on Saturdays. I know it is hard to stay open 7 days a week, but for some of us its not possible to make it during the week. This place needs better advertising to get more people in.

Although it may be small, the Water Museum offers some modern and colorful infographics on Laredos water treatment. There are interactive displays to keep the children occupied, and plenty of water facts and tidbits for older guests to read. Its free admission, so why not give it a visit and relax while youre visiting Laredo.
