Great experience, every employee that we would walk pass would offer their assistance. Lobby, courtyard and room were extremely clean. On all of our furniture visits we will be staying at La Posada. Rooms: Clean and spacious room. Safety: Lighting was great and visible security guards in the parking garage. My daughter, one year old grandson and I went. I felt safe At all times. Walkability: Downtown, histrionical buildings and Mexico all in walking distance.

Had a family event nearby and decided to stay at the historic La Posada. The rooms were spacious and well kept. The beds were super comfortable and what you d expect from a 4 star hotel. Our TV did not function correctly but maintenance came by and handled it, even after hours. The restaurant was very busy and took quite a bit of time to get food but it was good. Great stay overall and will definitely be back.

So this hotel is great for the area and what else is around . If you must stay at a hotel in Laredo , this should be the one you choose . That being said it is dated , which can add to the vibe but it walks a fine line . The restaurant is good and serves nice Mexican staples .

Decent place but downtown Laredo is rough. Buildings are ran down and not much to do. The gym and the pool area are nice but the hotel and rooms are outdated and are for sure showing their age. Probably was an amazing hotel when it was in its prime.

I stay at La Posada everytime I travel to Laredo for work, and it truly is the best hotel. The aesthetic of the hotel is beautiful and has a unique feel to it. The front desk staff is always friendly, and whenever theres an issue with the rooms, they accommodate their guests and fix issues immediately (maintenance, wrong room assignment, etc.). Esteban also makes the best dirty Tito martinis, and I am picky! This is one of the few hotels that feels like a vacation stay to me when traveling for work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Its a treasure in Laredo.

Our stay was great. All the staff were very hospitable and courteous. The balcony that wraps around the 2nd floor was my favorite! The pool area was also very nice. Although we didnt eat at their restaurants because of the time we arrived, the convenience of their location was perfect. Very beautiful hotel. The bathroom was very clean. The beds were firm, which I prefer. We stayed for 1 night. The only con I would say is the arm chair and carpet in the room needed a deep cleaning.

Beautiful hotel with lots of historic charm. Everything is high quality. Excellent staff provided friendly professional service. We enjoyed our stay. I was a little concerned about the parking garage based on some reviews saying it was difficult to navigate. I had no problems with my full size pickup. I would love to stay there again. Rooms: Room was very nice. Clean and with high quality details. The beds are sleep number brand. If you like them you will be happy. That was my first time trying one out. Cant say I was particularly impressed but it was fine. Safety: Totally safe.parking garage is attended. Lots of staff around. Food and drinks: Both restaurants on site are fantastic.

La Posada is a beautiful, well run, Laredos only 4 star diamond hotel. This is my 10th visit to Laredo Texas, and I always stay here. It sits right on the Rio Grande and is located within walking distance of many restaurants, bars and shopping. It is well managed, safe and has an amazing restaurant the Tack Room connected. It has 2 swimming pools and the best in service. Prices are beyond reasonable for nightly stays. Thank you so much for an amazing 3 days!!!

My family and I have stayed at La Posada for decades and it has provided us with so many wonderful memories. I decided to have my small wedding at the hotel in honor of family members that are no longer here but shared in the La Posada experience with me. Working with the event coordinator at the hotel, Mrs. Castillo as well as her assistant, was the absolute worst experience Ive ever had. We paid for several rooms over the wedding weekend and the day of the ceremony was held up due to Mrs Castillos assistant insisting on being paid $100. She refused to charge to our room or take our credit card right there on site. So while getting ready for my wedding she stood at the venue refusing to leave, threatened to stay through the ceremony and demanded to speak to me. We paid over $600 for the rooms but were harassed and were all treated very rudely over $100. What should have been the happiest day for us as well as friends and family was ruined. I will never come back to the hotel which breaks my heart. Rooms: The rooms are quaint and the grounds are lovely.

Would not recommend the seafood buffet to anyone. We were told by employees on the phone that the buffet included fried shrimp. When we were serving our food there was no shrimp, seafood soup had no seafood, and the fried fish and vegetables were from the frozen food that we buy at the grocery store. The buffet was not worth what we paid. Overall, the food tasted and looked like hospital food. Very disappointed at our local hotel/restaurant.

The place im sure was amazing in its day, but now it makes more money on parking cars here for traveling across the border. The route to my room was filled with stairs with luggage i had to carry up it. So its deff got a good look, if you want to feel like the 1980s

Note: I did try to contact management of this hotel to discuss the issues with my room. Mr Valdez never responded after multiple messages. Management is not available during the weekends at this hotel. The room was very dirty with greasy and crusty bed toppers and pillows. The carpet had multiple smears of food or some kind of white spots. The air conditioner did not work and the tv did not work. The front desk sent a maintenance guy but he could not get the a/c to work properly. Also, the room had a very musty, mildew smell. On the positive side, bathroom was reasonably clean. I was traveling with my dogs and do not expect to have the nicest room in the hotel but this was just unacceptable. The front desk promised I would get credit for one of the cleaning fees for the dogs but that credit has not happened. Again, management does not give the staff authority to deal with issues and they are not available during the weekends. I witnessed another guest having problems with charges on her credit card and the desk staff could not help her. I would avoid this hotel and look elsewhere in Laredo.

The hotel is located very close to the Rio Grande River with nice views of both the river and the beautiful inner courtyard with a pool and several areas to relax. There is an old-town outdoor plaza next to a cathedral with restaurants nearby that makes for a nice evening escape. We tried the Tack Room restaurant and loved it. I was kicked out from the hotel at 11.30 pm because my vet asked me to keep my cats in the car not to tramatize them This hotel ignored the vet recommendation. I paid for the dog. While sleeping they woke me up telling me that either I take the cats in (and traumatize them) or I leave. I dressed up and at midnight left into the dark. They charged me full fee nonetheless. Rug had holes, bed cover was freiled and the decorative band on the bed was filthy. TV was not sinked with the remote. What a great hotel experience. they call themselves best in time.

The service in this hotel is terrible. They do NOT care about their guests, especially after you check out. I stayed there last week and left my fire stick with remote control in the room. I checked out last Wednesday and called them on Thursday to ask if they had found what I left. They took my name and phone number and promised they would call me back. They did not call me back. I have been calling back every single day and have to explain the whole story over and over to every person who picks up the phone. They tell me they will call back but they NEVER do. I am out of the country. I am now traveling in Spain and Morocco. So it is not easy to call the United States. Plus it is costing me every time I call. It has been 5 days and they have not solved my problem. The hotel is old. The rooms are small and smell moldy. The service could not be worse. Do NOT stay here. Noteworthy details: horrible service

This is a gorgeous hotel with lovely staff. It has some stunning areas, and its quite cozy and safe. The staff are constantly working to keep everything clean and functional. The breakfasts are good, too. They have much more variety than other hotels with continental breakfasts. The biggest issue I have is that the mattresses are awful. They hurt my back so badly! Also, the location is bad, unless youre going to cross the border. Theres nothing around to do. I am shocked to see such a stunning hotel in the midst of such a desolate area.

I am aware that many people make a living working at this amazing piece of history. I do, however, have to share that it was an experience my family and I would not care to repeat. After changing rooms 3 times due to humid and moldy smelling rooms, we finally had a room that was cool and did not have a smell to it. Upon unpacking, my husband came across a rather large hairball on the floor, evidently not cleaned very well. We chose not to sit on the living room furniture due to stains that seemed pretty fresh. The pool was a great experience, very clean and great scenery surrounding. We then ordered dinner.... Our waitress was kind, but not very aware of what she was serving us. Nor did she pick up on the fact that we turned down the flat sodas and overly frozen bottle of mineral water (topo chico). The chips and salsa appetizers....well, the chips were burnt and slightly stale, and salsa (in small 1 dose containers) had a funny smell. The fajitas and beans were not too bad. I ordered a salad, thinking it would be safe....the salad dressing was so bad that my husband took one bite and ran to the restroom to spit it out. I advised the waitress that the salad dressing had gone bad, to which she replied, ok, thank you for letting me know. A rather expensive dinner, especially considering my husband, my daughter, and myself all spent the night in the bathrooms with food poisoning. In the morning, when checking out, we asked to speak with a manager, to which we were told there are no managers on duty on Sundays. Our trip was pretty much summed up on our way out the front door as the nice gentleman who opens the door failed to notice a large cockaroach that was dead right in the walkway. Apparently, this hotels heyday is all the history it has.

Still here and I am checking out early. Stayed in the west wing. My room was too warm, even with putting the AC below 70. I kept waking up sweating. Then I had several ants in the bed. Went downstairs to kept breakfast and was told that you need to be on a list to get complimentary breakfast. I have gotten more for less. Since I have to come back weekly. I will not be staying here. The building itself was nice but that was about it. Go elsewhere. They need to bump this down a couple of stars.

Over all my stay was great. I only had one huge complaint and it s with the cleaning staff, one my fist night the lady knocked and we couldn t come to the door right away. She then proceeded to open the door and let herself in so I had to drop what I was doing to keep her at the door. After the second night another cleaning lady shows up at 10 and ask if we were still here, I told her check out is at 12 right? Come back then she shows up at 11:30 and says remember to check out by 12, or are you spending another night? Front desk should really communicate with the rest of the staff whether or not a guest is staying multiple days

Service was not good. When we checked in the front desk lady was rude and we did not get the rooms we reserved. Umbrellas around the pools were all broken, the jacuzzi was filthy. West wing which seems to be the best rooms was closed due to no A/C.

To call this a 4 diamond hotel is an embarrassing proclamation. The front desk was 50/50, excellent bar tender, and the food came out flavorful, I must say , however, Id say Ive had nicer ooms at a motel 6 ... please update your rooms.
