I used April as my wedding photographer May 2024 at the Denton Little Chapel in the Woods venue. Working with April was very easy and she KNOWS HER STUFF! She helped me plan a timeline of the day, helped me through all the photography details and listened to my concerns. She made the photos of my big day stress free and super easy! Her turn around time was fast, and downloading the full gallery was simple as well! I don t have any complaints from working with her! She is THE BEST

Please keep searching for another photographer, despite of my extensive research and referral from a colleague. The whole experience was a complete disappointment that happened a few years ago but it still has significant effects on my family today. My mother swears to never take family photos again! Not only was April unprofessional in her demeanor, but The final images were overedited, and definitely not worth the exorbitant price I paid. Save your money and find someone else who values integrity& delivers quality results. Since April was saying my name under my mothers review, Then I like to respond to her threats of a lawyer to remove the previous review (since I dont have access too my mothers email account for her previous review that she wanted to forewarn others). First of all we could not properly access the photos so we paid for and only received a family album (initially with the WRONG family on the cover) so yes it was overpriced! It did cost over $1000 (with money down and hairstylist/makeup artist etc) highly inflated at he time I did not know my family experience mistreatment prior to my purchase. (I.e my mother, sis, and toddlers who was made to wait outside in the texas heat, while April finished another photo viewing during our appointment time) Worst of all, she accused my mother that she clogged her toilet and flooding her bathroom -which my mom was shocked that she did not do! My mother believes that April intently mess up our family photos because April blame her about the cost of her floors being repaired fr the flooding. My family was more than kind to April and never confronted her but they never wanted to return. My mom didnt want to accept April s photos album as her mothers day gift since The photos didnt even looked like her. my sister and mother finally expressed their complaints after my purchase since I wasnt sure what photos they liked (apparently they didnt like none of the photos). Most professionals would reach out to the customer & make things right & I would had update my review, but instead April rather email & comment legal threats. Ill let her work speak for itself. Also I don t know how there is half dozen of one star rating scores yet it doesnt contribute to her overall reviews. *UPDATE: In response to the Owner, My mother wanted to leave reviews due to lack of disrespect and wasting her time;but I never fully express my perspective with your photos. It is very clear that you don t try to empathize &/or listen to your clients when I had mentioned why I wrote this review today and why. The main reason is we did not have access to photos of what we paid. You gave a different link then what you offered on your google review response. I suspect that you try cover up your unprofessional behaviors by reporting reviews when it sheds light on your true nature. Im just informing the public the big mistake of an investment I made and what we got out of it from one album. Your stories and links continue to change as mine stays the same. Your memory is not accurate with the events that transpired. Yes I inquired about pictures for my daughter and I but your desired bluebonnet site had no bluebonnets and if I didnt check we would have been left with photos in the grass/dirt ground. Therefore We agreed changed it to family portraits. Please dont overexagerate what really happened especially about viewing, I was confused of why my mom didnt want to show up so I purchase them all so she would have opportunity to see them (unfortunately she still did not have access to them - i can prove this by you sending different links) I FIND out after the purchase about really happened before i got there! You denied my sister s two little ones to wait inside because youndoublebooked during my appointment prior to me arriving for the shoot. I have a right to share my review but if you had kindly ask me to take down it down by providing me correct link to the photos we paid then we would be reconciled. She s the sweetest soul, she truly cares about what she does & the people she does it for. She stepped in last minute to photograph my wedding in 2018 & she exceeded all expectations. Best decision we made! Living so far from her, we finally got link up again for our family pics this year. We booked April for our wedding in September. Unfortunately it wasn t a pleasant experience for us. April was extremely pushy, judgmental, and all around had no people skills. She almost missed photos of my wife having her father/daughter dance. We chose April because we wanted in the moment photos. Instead they were all staged. She edited my eyes to be black when they are a very light brown/green. We took photos so long after our ceremony that our guest were leaving. When asked when we would be done her response was I will be done when I am done . Unfortunately it didn t feel like our day was about us and it was more about her. When getting married, you are already stressed, she added to that stress x10. Her photos are decent but the after the experience we had, I would not recommend. After your response, please remove our gallery from your below comment. We do not approve of this. The above was more about your professionalism, judgement, and overall people skills. Your behavior was nothing short of pushy.

April s assistant was the sweetest. April, on the other hand was overbearing, condescending and inconsiderate of the family, bridal party and guests. There s a way to get the shot you want, and still be kind and compassionate. This is what sets good photographers from great photographers. We found April last minute for an elopement! We saw her gallery and knew we loved her style and we re thrilled she was available. She was very responsive and enthusiastic to communicate with. The actual shoot was like none other. I ve done many portrait sessions and the photographers rarely give direction, resulting in only a few good images. April gives so much direction down to where to put our hands, where to look, whether or not to smile and there honestly wasn t a bad image. She truly captured the emotion of our elopement and we only had to wait a couple of days for the gallery. You won t regret booking April!

Her pictures are amazing, but experience with her is not something I would recommend. We expect all vendors to come together and work together to make a wedding happen. When your wedding coordinator emails a spreadsheet that includes the day of plans, we do not expect you to ignore it. Nor send a new schedule and exclude the wedding coordinator. Thats unprofessional. On the wedding day sassy comments to the bride and the bridal party, even the parents are uncalled for. Making the bride cry on her wedding day is unacceptable. Your pictures are great, but the experience was stressful and unpleasant. Wouldnt recommend to others. .

April is the GREATEST. We needed our engagement photos fast, and she came all the way out to where we lived, which was almost 2 hours from her, so we could take pictures at a location very special to us. She got us our photos so fast, and they were so beautiful. She even made a little slideshow for us and put our wedding song on there. April went out of her way to understand every detail of my vision and plan for my complex, indo-american all-day wedding! Her photos are edited with vibrant colors, making you feel like you are right there in that moment, each time you look at them. She captured stellar portraits of my family (each one totally frame-able) and captured all of my biggest moments in-action. Something I would do differently if I could go back in time, is ask her to make sure my portraits with my husband felt more close-up. Our faces were angled in towards each other in many portraits. And we could have used more portraits in our Indian outfits (part 2 of the day-long celebrations) - I would have liked her to look out for that and ensure we got close-ups that showed off the details & colors of our Indian outfits. Also, I would have liked April to use a bit more discretion in calling my guests up for photos. She unknowingly called out guests in a loud voice to take portraits, and this didnt sit well with my peaceful ambiance. She was humble in receiving the feedback when I asked her to lower her voice. As COVID made waste to my original plans I had to scramble and make different arrangements. I never thought I would have to find a photographer. One of my primary concerns were the fact that I am African American and wanting to make sure that the photos came out great. Some photographers are unable to capture the many different shades especially outside in natural light. This caused me so much angst when researching and asking questions. As I worked with my wedding planner to find one, she brought to me April Pinto Photography. The first thing that caught my eye was her devotion to God. That really stuck with me and it connected me to her. We had the pre-interview which of course sealed the deal. We had a virtual meeting where she laid out the itinerary and options for photos. She asked me thorough questions on which photos I would like to have. For some bride s communication is key. For me over communication is key because I want to make sure that everything is perfect. I cannot say enough about April and her art!! She captured every moment I wanted and displayed my beautiful family in some amazing portraits! I have never experienced something so easy and organized! She had outfit guides, time selections, locations already available to choose from, and was very organized with her work! April just did my maternity pictures for our 3rd little babe. And they turned out AMAZING! First, her selection of maternity gowns is impressive and it s so hard to narrow it down to two. They are all so gorgeous. But April helped pick out two that were beautiful and that she thought would go well with my skin tone, hair color, etc. She also gave great advice on how to dress and style my oldest two kids for our pictures. The day of our session, she had this stunning location picked out and was quick and direct. She was so kind with my kiddos and we were done with pictures in an hour. With a 2 year old and 5 year old that is a huge bonus. Then I got my pictures very quickly and was so blown away with how beautiful they were. They will forever be some of my favorite pictures ever. I felt/ looked gorgeous and she captured my kids great. I will definitely use her again.

April was very friendly during conversations. She communicated very quickly and was very responsive. She was helpful and open to hear what I wanted while we communicated before my shoots. During the actual wedding day shoot, I was disappointed... One thing to consider if you are planning on hiring April as a photographer is to be clear about vendor dress code for your wedding day. It would also be important to discuss a detailed photography schedule that also includes the order in which you would like shots taken. This would help to avoid any disagreements or confusion on the day of. One example of how this caused stress on the day of was an encounter with family shots. We had family who wanted to take a quick picture and leave right after the ceremony due to their fears from COVID-19. When my husband told her this, she said that she would get to it later and that she had a schedule she was following. I feel like this request was not uncommon, and it was met with a certain level of resistance. This was disappointing because our top concern was the safety of our family and guests, and we wanted that to be reciprocated. At this point we felt like we lost any form of open communication with April that we had from the beginning. I was disappointed to hear from multiple family members, vendors, and guests that she was disrespectful towards them. There were numerous occasions where either myself or other members of my party were offended by how things were worded by April in that they came across as passive aggressive. I also witnessed this firsthand in the way that she spoke to our wedding party. Although this day was not without a few disappointments, we loved our pictures and they pictures turned out beautifully. She was good with posing and used her surroundings well.

When we were looking for photographer for our wedding we were looking for someone local to the area! Im in Plano and my Fiance is in Lewisville and were getting married in Coppell and Lewisville! When choosing a photographer for our wedding, my fiance and I were deciding between April and the photographer my cousins used. From our first video call, April was very friendly, warm, and inviting. She walks you through the whole process, has open communication with her clients, and is quick to respond to any questions you may have. My fiance and I are very awkward when it comes to taking pictures, but April made us feel comfortable during our engagement session. The most challenging thing during this process has to be choosing a photo for our save the dates. There are so many incredible photographs to choose from. My son and I had an amazing experience working with April Pinto. My son has never had professional pictures taken outside of the traditional studio session. It felt like Christmas morning when we received our pictures back from April! In order to fit our timeline, we took pictures on a less-than-ideal day for weather. April was flexible with her time which allowed us to work around the rain. She did such an amazing job creating warm-toned pictures that we just love - even on an overcast day! April was so sweet and encouraging during our photoshoot. She coached us every step of the way and let us add some creative, fun props also!
