This restaurant gave me food poisoning on 3 separate occasions. I initially gave this restaurant the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe it was something else that was making me sick. But no it was the fried shrimp plate.

Quiet comfortable eating areas. All hot food is actually served hot and cold items served chilled. Vegetarian options: The green salad, coleslaw, and french fries are served fresh. Condiments are fresh and not stale. I go for the cold ice tea and fresh lemons.

We decided to stop there for a quick bite, we were disappointed. Our waitress was the best hate I didn t get her name, aside from that the food was not what we expected. The shrimp and fish was undercooked. When we mentioned to the owner he said we should have asked the waitress to make our food well done I m not sure who wants fish and shrimp under cooked.

Food is OK it isnt bad but size portion for your money is going to disappoint you. At least this is my experience for takeout. I spent close to $24 for a very small portion of everything. For $10-20 go to Mambos Seafood & youll get way more for your money.

So I walked in and placed an order to go and let me tell ya I hate long waits. I ordered fried mushrooms and a grilled fish and shrimp dish. I was expecting to wait 15 to 30 minutes and to my surprise just like the lady said I waited only 10 minutes if that. Ive never had the shrooms or the shrimp and fish meal I ordered so I didnt know what to expect getting my food so quickly but I must say.... BAM.... amazing dishes and service. Im not one to write reviews but it just seems every time I order from here they knock it out of the park. Ive been eating here for years and they get it right every time. 5 star +++. Thanks Baytown Seafood for once again getting it right.

I would give no stars if I could. Took my mother there for a mothers day dinner(she doesnt get out of the house much, shes elderly and picked this restaurant) and we will not go again. Service is horrible and the manager isnt any better. Placed our orders, my daughter ordered fried pickles for the table and I ordered fried mushrooms for the table. Waitress insisted that we place our dinner order at the same time, so we did. We all got our salads and then the pickles came out along with the dinner plates. Notice I did not say the pickles and mushrooms came out, only the pickles and everyones plate except for mine. A different waitress asked me what I ordered, so I told her and she went to the kitchen where I could hear them arguing with her about it. So I sat there and waited and waited, until everyone else was finished eating and the to-go order that someone at our table had placed was brought out and I still didnt have my food. I asked to speak to the manager and the waitress said he doesnt have time to talk to you, but you can go in the kitchen. Well I did and he said he was too busy to talk to me. Then we boxed up everyones leftovers and they finally brought my plate out. I told them it was too late and to take it back to the kitchen and we were leaving. At this point, the manager miraculously had time to come out and talk. He commenced to telling me that the waitress said I had changed my order after she put it in (this was not true) so I told him that she lied, so then here she comes from the back to start yelling at me to not call her a liar. So I asked her point blank where were my mushrooms and she said I didnt charge you for them, so I asked her did you turn them in and she said no. Basically, in a nutshell, she didnt turn my order in and tried to blame it on me. If I hadnt placed my order when everyone else did, why did I get my salad when they did? Then she wanted to stand there and glare at me like I had done something wrong. I asked for the ticket so I could pay for my moms dinner and my meal was not on there, but she did add it to my daughters ticket. Very unprofessional and rude, the manager should have said something to his waitress for yelling at a customer. Do not waste your time or your money going to this place.

Horrible customer service. walked in a couple days ago to dine in and right away was being stared at by a waitress from the back who could atleast try to not make it obvious that she is staring at me for whatever reason. 10 seconds later another waitress comes and stands next to her and stares at me all. very unusual and unsettling. didnt even bother staying after that.

If you think bigger is automatically better, youll think the burgers are 10/10. Came with salad lettuce with carrots, meat cooked to a medium gray, bun so soggy its like toilet paper in a bowl, menu says bacon is $1 for two pieces but was charged $2. The service was on point and the dishes we saw coming out of the kitchen looked great. We will be back, just not for those burgers.

This restaurant has gone completely downhill. Ordered a shrimp Po Boy and the shrimp had all the tails on I almost choked when biting it, we told the waitress and she said That s just how they make them here idk . Ridiculous. Ordered bacon cheeseburger with fries, which are usually a pretty good but today looks like they were trying to save money all the way around! Food is great! The building has some serious issues. The floors are uneven in the entryway under the carpet. The tile is uneven and loose in the ladies restroom. First the salad was purchased straight from the grocery store and unloaded into a bowl for all to eat. The shrimp was not deveined and overcooked minimal flavor. Scallops were overcooked and tough. Redsnapper was not seasoned, very fishy, and served with scales still on them. Pasta was served with an excessive amount of sauce and noodles were 1/4th original length. Fried catfish had no flavor and fries tasted stale. The building even endured lots of water damaged and was run down. 0/10 would not recommend.

I have had so much fun dining at this particular Seafood Restaurant with my Federal Government NASA Engineer Husband over the years. Sadly, my spouse has passed away from Cancer over 14 years, David had been a Patient of M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital in the Houston Medical Center.. But I still eat at this Restaurant to remind myself of the best time I ever had was being married to my Husband,David. The Seafood is all delicious but ask for the French Fries to be on the Crispy side & served on a separate Plate. The Tarter Sauce is really good plus they have a nice Aquarium in the restaurant. My family and I came for a visit to the beach. And found this hidden gem (right by our hotel) I had the Shrimp Po Boy! Portions are enormous. My husband had the Double Cheeseburger! And his words; Frickin Incredible Hamburger! Lol. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great and the service was friendly. The only negative I have, Is the inside is a little outdated. Their fried shrimp and catfish is the best out of all the baytown seafood franchises and from any seafood restaurants in general. I come here quite often and Ive never had any issues with the quality/flavor of my meals- both dine in or takeout. Everything always tastes very fresh and never frozen. The wait staff is also very friendly and attentive. The only issue (if you would even call it that) is the inside of the restaurant. It is very outdated and the furniture is very used. Theres also a mildewy smell that never seems to go away. With that being said, its not bad enough to turn me away from dining here. All in all I highly recommend trying it out if you are craving a good seafood meal!

This location at 146 and Fairmont has significantly gone waaaay down hill. The staff acted like we were a bother and no one was friendly at all. There was something nasty dried somewhat brownish running down the wall at our booth, dead bugs all along the windowsill, and a huge smashed roach on the ceiling above us. I had overcooked dried out RedFish. My husband had the thinnest fried catfish Ive ever seen, it was all breading. I sure wish we had just left instead of hanging toughhoping the food was good. I had to put my salad dressing on the fish it was so dry and tasteless. Worst $40 ever spent. Will never go back.

We have ate here numerous times and its steadily gone downhill .The only thing that has increased in s the price.The Can fish and shrimp was a favorite of mine but it disappointed yesterday as iit has the last 3 visits.Tje food was over cooked ,greasy and way overpriced!There was more batter on the fish than meat and the fries were so thin they were hard as pretzels..I will not be going back to this facility!

I ordered two orders of fried shrimp and one shrimp and rice. The fried shrimp is clearly old and has been reheated in the microwave. The fries are cold and rock hard. The shrimp and rice is just putrid. No tarter sauce either. Why do you serve old, fried shrimp that you reheated in the microwave? Its disgusting and I wonder about your health code standards. Maybe someone from the health department should make an unannounced visit. UPDATE: I ate two pieces of the microwaved shrimp and my wife had one. Our stomaches are already churning and its only been 1 hour. Not safe to eat. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Do not order this food for anyone elderly, pregnant, or a child unless you want them dead.

I ordered a shrimp cocktail and a shrimp and oyster poor boy. The cocktail was good but the poor boys shrimp still had half the shell on them. This is the second time this has occurred. I figured the first time was an oversight. I made the waitress aware of this and was told that sometimes they de shell them, sometimes not. I ask her if I was supposed to disect my sandwich before I eat it to remove the shell off of FRIED shrimp. She shrugged her shoulders. I then stated they have lost my business. Her reply was, thats fine. Unbelievable is all I can say.
