From the initial call I made to the very last person I had contact with when I was checked out the experience was amazing! Every staff member my kids and I made contact with were always super friendly and knowledgeable! They made the whole process super convenient even after my daughter s cleaning when we found out she needed additional treatment. We will definitely be returning.

My kids always look forward to coming to Lone Star! The staff is super friendly and understanding. I have six kids so Im thankful for the times theyve scheduled all of them the same day to make our day easier! Even in emergency situations (my youngest chipping her tooth) they were able to see her same day and just make sure she was okay. The tablets on the walls are an added bonus to help with keeping the kids busy while siblings get checked out

Lone Star has always been fantastic with my kiddos. I fell behind on dental appointments and have been catching back up with my three kids. Great customer service. Staff is very friendly. However if you chose this dentist be ready to have to confirm your appointment 3 times before your appointment date. If you do not confirm your appointment they will automatically cancel your appointment. I ve never been late or no called no show to any appointment with my three children and they canceled my appointment because I didn t answer their call to confirm, even though I confirmed I would be there when I made the appointment. I understand people miss appointments, but if you haven t given them a reason to believe you won t be there you shouldn t be subjected to several calls and texts to confirm if you ve already told them you d be there.

Considering the circumstances of the world right now, I had a very pleasant visit at Lone Star Pediatric Dental & Braces! I was greeted at the door for a quick temperature check, waited for what seemed like a quick 10 minutes, a movie was playing in the waiting area for my child to keep busy while I had to make arrangements for our first time visit. Zachary was quick and efficient with getting X-rays of my 4yr olds teeth! Connie went over care instructions and what to expect with the future procedure that would need to be done all the while making sure my daughter felt comfortable and had a great first experience at their office, such a sweetheart even went above and beyond to get my daughter a goodie bag and balloon to take home, definitely our favorite part of the visit. I can t remember the name of the dentist who went over the X-rays and her recommendations with me, but she was great and seemed to know exactly what she was talking about. She addressed my concerns without trying to push me to a decision I may have felt uncomfortable with but rather made me feel confident in the work she deemed necessary for my child, which I appreciate and respect! Love this place and completely look forward to returning for dental work on my 4yr old. 100% recommend being a patient here!

He is 5, they were so nice and explained everything they were going to do with him to him, it made a world of difference for him knowing what they were gonna do. They let him touch all the tools they were using also showed them how everything works. We left with him saying that wasn t even scary!! Thanks so much to the entire staff!!

We have been coming here for over 7 years. When we first started coming they offered braces services at this office before moving to Village Orthodontics. At the time they were combined, everyone was kind, communicated well with parents and kids, and the staff was understanding of parents with multiple kids. My last few visits since covid have been sub par, at best. The hygienists are always rude, they speak condescendingly to the kids and parents, I have been given attitude about wanting to be back with all my kids, they started weighing the kids right in the front which I feel is really odd and uncomfortable for my now older children. In an environment where you deal with children, I feel your overall demeanor and presence should be comforting and reassuring. I don t get that at all anymore and I can say that confidently having been with this office for a long time. During our most recent visit, I had my middle child going first so we all went back because I do not let my younger two go back alone, and that will not be changing. There is only one seat available, one child sat, one child stood, and I sat on the floor. The bench behind the desk isn t allowed to be used for seating I guess, but I am pregnant and sat on the floor. Clearly not accommodating to families with multiple children and discourages parents going back with kids that is evident based on your seating and in the past saying I should wait in the waiting area. I will add, you never know a mother s past trauma and why she makes the decisions she does on behalf of her children and my children will never be alone in either area, regardless of age. And allowing me to sit in the floor is unacceptable. Also, Fabuloso is not an acceptable scent or cleanser to use in your lobby, it is an offensive scent to those who are sensitive to smells, like your pregnant clients, I would recommend a lighter scent. We love our orthodontist and will continue to see Dr. Ashley, but after braces are complete, we will be looking for a different dental office for my kids, also considering I have another child on the way now. I m very disappointed and dissatisfied with how far downhill this office has gone. I have received off color comments about my parenting and my husbands profession from staff in the past, and I find that to be incredibly insensitive and unprofessional. Not the same office we started with. Work on how you speak to your kids and treat your parents!!

Would definitely recommend this place 1000 times!!! Everyone is awesome! My son left happy a little dizzy but no pain at all he was happy so mom is happy! And ready to schedule 2nd visit :0)

First visit went great. Second visit was absolutely horrible. They seem to overbook patients getting work done. I understand every patient is different and some take longer than others to work on. They gave anesthesia meds before laughing gas and then waited about an hour and a half in waiting room waiting for the dentist to finish working on other patient. By the time the dentist started working on him, anesthesia was already wearing off. That made it very difficult for my 5 yr old. At that point he was not having it and made it more difficult for staff to work on him. The dentist in my opinion was rushing throughout the whole process because she had other patients waiting on her. He was supposed to get two fillings and a crown. When she started working on him she then changed it to two crowns instead of one because he was already too fidgety. She was able to get one on and couldnt do the other one. The other crown got stuck on the first one. So as they searched for it frantically my little one pulled off the first crown with his tongue and thats how we discovered the second crown got stuck on the first. They then redid the first crown and then when they couldnt get the second crown again they took off the mask for the laughing gas and tried to force the crown on his last molar in the back without any tools. When that didnt work they gave him a break and a prize. When they finally came back they tried to redo that same back crown, this time with their dental equipment. The dentist shaved off more of his tooth, failed to put in the crown and then gave up at that point and just completely covered his entire tooth with sealant. Then sent us on our way. They told us we needed to go back once more. This time for general anesthesia in order to work on the filling she didnt get to work on and one more crown on bottom. I told them we would not be returning.We got here at 9 am and left at around 12:30 only to have a botched dental job done because his anesthesia was already worn off. Never returning here ever again!!! ABSOLUTE WORST DENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Worst of all my 5 year old is now terrified of the dentist office.

Look for a different pediatric dental facility heres why: we arrived 15 min early for our 4pm appt visit started off in a very busy and unkept/dirty waiting room where we sat for 15 minutes after our appointment time. Then waited close to another 20 mins longer at a dental station before x-rays were taken. The bed had not looked to be wiped down, it was filthy. But luckily they did have TVs. The visit with the dentist was fine. It was the lacking communication with the hygienist that I did not care for during the cleaning. While I was excited to bring her here to a pediatric dentist for a fearless-kid-friendly-learning-atmosphere. Instead, they seemed more annoyed at the amount of people that they still had to see since they were closing at 5pm and by this time it was almost 5pm, so I felt our appointment was rushed and overlooked. There was no communication to my daughter on how you need to take care of your teeth to floss or brush or do anything extra. Other than, ok you are done, now pick a prize. We will not be coming back.

Thank you AMY and Dr.Norma. My daughter had an extraction done today because she had an extra tooth and she has never been a fan of the dentist but she let them do the treatment. Update: 2023 We left and joined another clinic. Service was great years ago but we have had three cancellations from the Dentist to reschedule with short notices. They do not uphold their schedule times and do not return messages. Technicians werent the same as they were years ago. My kiddos had their cleaning done a few months ago and they were so sore. Inexperienced Hygienist put so much pressure in their gums, gums bleed heavily. Dont take your kids there. They will have nightmares!!! They are the best! All four of my kiddos from age 5yrs to 13yrs agree! They love going to the dentist now.

Awful customer service and no organization at Front Desk. Negligent care as my child s procedure was cancelled twice now due to scheduling errors as she was scheduled with a dentist that was not credentialed to do sedation. I will be reporting this practice for delayed care and not be returning. Other practices and potential patients will be made aware of this horrible care as well.

Update: giving more stars because I spoke with the field manager who was super sweet and fixed my issue ASAP and apologized on behalf on the office staff! I got charged for a bill when I should not have. I had been in contact with them multiple times to fix it, they kept saying oh someone will fix it if you get another bill don t worry just toss it blah blah blah Here we are like 8 months later and now I m getting calls from their office forwarding me to financial and of course no one answers. SMH.

Lone Star Dental was our daughters first visit to the dentist this year 2022 and it was a great experience. Of course our daughter was going into a different environment and she was a little scared, but the staff were very welcoming and informative. The dentist had very good bedside manner and a calm demeanor. Definitely a place I would recommend!

All three of my kiddos had an easy and smooth visit, Dr. was very quick and thorough. Our last visit did not go as smoothly, had a 9am appointment and did not leave until after 10:15. my 9am kiddos didnt see the dentist until 10am. They definitely need to work on not over booking the dentist as much if this is a typical day there.

If you could rate the doctors separately, I would easily give the doctors a higher review, however; the billing and front office staff have definitely earned the negative review and the one star rating. Im sure after this is posted Ill get the generic response from them. Im sorry you had a bad experience . Ill outline the bad experience so future customers and patients can see what weve dealt with twice already. One, overcharged services that were more than the contracted rate with our insurance company. According to our insurance company, they should not be charging more than the contract rate for services. Second, trying to get a hold of somebody to get an adjustment done and a credit reversed so we can get a refund. The first time we were told that the biller does not like talking to people, imagine how well that went after several phone calls and emails with the front office staff. This latest instance I requested that I was Ccd on an email to the biller and I never was. This was after two follow-up emails. A phone call with a message and a second phone call were actually talked to the office manager. The office manager said that they were going to use this as an opportunity to coach the front office staff. I guess that coaching moment never happened because I sent another email. I requested another follow-up and I called and left another message after being transferred to an extension that had no voicemail setup and rang for 4 minutes. We went through hell last time to get a refund issued, and I guess its just company policy to put us through hell again to get another refund issued. I would definitely love an explanation on what fee schedule attached wrong is and why that is showing up several times on my billing history. I would love to get an explanation on why we are being charged more than the contracted rate for services. And I would love to get an explanation on why no one seems to care to return a phone call or an email to simply acknowledge that this is being worked on.

The staff at Lonestar are so patient with the kids its honestly impressive! My son gets very anxietal at the dentist and they take everything nice and slow and allow him to see what the instuments do first as to calm his nerves. They always reward with little prizes at the end of the visit and are very understanding of little peoples big feelings.

This place is awesome.. 2022 update- we went to a new dentist- you can find them within my reviews- unfortunately lone star pediatric dental ran with our insurance and totally did massive treatments - that were so painful another doctor had to go in and fix the mess.. Kids tooth team in Buda will fix what this place messes up-

WATCH OUT parents!Every time I go there , something bad has to happen, last Friday I took my daughter for her treatment appointment, after I checked in , I told them I will be waiting in my car with my daughter and when it s our turn please call us. They agreed. Every 20 minutes I come inside to check but they said not yet. After one hour waiting , I came in again and I was asking why it s taking that long , they told me that the dentist giving your daughter the treatment she needed and it takes time. I was shocked and I told them my daughter is with me in the car , what are you talking about? Then the receptionist ran inside to tell them that not the right patient. They told me that there s a patient her name as my daughter s. And they were giving that patient the treatment she shouldn t have. That was scary. I should leave but because I was in situation I didn t think right , I agreed to give my daughter the treatment but was the bad treatment ever, and now I had to take my daughter somewhere else to check what they did to her!

Usually the staff is very friendly but on this visit I was very unhappy the dental assistant who did my daughters cleaning was not kid friendly at all say my daughter is 4 years old still not familiar with all the tools she was using to do the cleaning, instead of calming her down she was scaring her more by the way she was talking to her she was irritated because my daughter was moving around.

The receptionist are always friendly very polite, the dental assistance as well very nice very friendly has a smile on their faces makes the patience s feel welcomed. But the lady that cleaned my daughters teeth she always looks mad like she hates being there she didn t even introduced herself or what she was doing today she also finished super quick I get that it was the end of the day and she wanted to go home but I also work in the medical field and that is not a way to treat your patience I wished I could ve gotten her name she is short has black hair up to her shoulders.

The only good thing was the dental assistant. The front desk gave me the bill up front for my daughter s filling, adding the laughing gas on as though we had no choice. Not until we went to the back did the assistant tell us we didn t have to use it, but I didn t know the difference and I d already paid up front. My daughter is 17 mind you, so she didn t need it. Also said she didn t need a shot, so he started drilling without it nearly making her come out of the chair. Ended up giving the shot. Then she said she had what felt like strep throat just on that side for the next three days, I m guessing as a side effect not sure. They were good with my younger son, but tried to overcharge us and my husband said no, it s a free visit because insurance covered it. He was right so thankfully they fixed it. Definitely Also did not have the best system when u had to wait in the car, my husband had gone in, checked in, they told him wait in the car with my daughter. 15-20 min later they call him and tell him they were going to cancel the appt since they were late. Needless to say he corrected them real quick. Just need to work on communication for sure and train front desk how to talk and what to charge.
