Went for late lunch on a Wednesday, slow time for these guys. This is our first time here and we enjoyed it! The peel and eat shrimp were very good. The jambalaya pasta was delicious and the blue cheese burger was as good as anywhere but the bun was better. Good fries too! Dannie, our server, was a cool guy, pretty attentive and there when we needed him. 10/10 will return

I recently dined at Sharky s kingwood, 8/16/24 and while the food was decent and the staff were polite, my experience was spoiled by a significant issue. When I sat down at my table, the chair I chose was broken and collapsed beneath me. I fell straight to the concrete floor. It was an embarrassing and uncomfortable situation, my leg was scratched and my back was hurting and while the staff were quick to help me up and apologize, they didn t provide any kind of complimentary item. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry myself I would have definitely comped a meal or provide a gift card for the next visit if a guest had an unfortunate incident. For a restaurant that aims to provide a pleasant dining experience, this was disappointing. Safety and customer care should be a priority, and unfortunately, this incident left me questioning the establishment s attention to detail. I hope they address this issue to prevent it from happening to someone else.

I recently had lunch at Sharkys, a seafood spot that I d heard great things about. We decided to sample a variety of dishes, including the fish and chips , fried fish tacos , and shrimp plate. The fish and chips were a classic done right crispy, golden batter encasing tender, flaky fish. The fries were perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, and paired well with the tangy tartar sauce an malt vinegar The fried fish tacos, while decent, could have used a bit more variety in the salsa. The fish was cooked well, with a nice crunch, but the overall flavor profile felt a bit flat. A more diverse range of salsas could have elevated the dish, adding a bit more excitement to each bite. Overall, Sharkys provided a pleasant lunch experience, with the shrimp plate being a standout. While the fried fish tacos were decent, a little more creativity with the salsa could have made them even better. Ill be back to try more dishes, hoping for a bit more flavor variety in the future.

This has been our go to place for the last 3 years. However, service has been declining lately, despite of the appearance of being OVERSTAFFED. Today was the last straw, couldnt even get the drink order right. Including being served a sour beer. Staff trying to blame it being slow because of the storm. Well the restaurant at the other end was able to serve fresh drinks and food without excuses.

The grilled shrimp were delicious! The Salmon Salad was OK; it was a little too wet for my taste, though the grilled salmon in it was very good. A spicy, creamy dressing would be better, I think. The horseradish sauce that came with the fried calamari was super! The onion rings were a little too large for perfection but very tasty all the same. Had to eat them with a fork. Another great: the house red, a Cabernet, yum! I really enjoyed it. I love that we got a bowl of lime wedges to go with our tea/water instead of just a wedge on the glass.

The absolute worst experience ever - Do NOT go here Sharkys in Kingwood is a complete disaster. The fish was over cooked and disgusting, barely fit for a dog. The service was beyond horrible; the staff were rude and obviously prejudiced, acting like jerks just because they thought we were gay. Such disgusting, bigoted behavior is unacceptable. Erica, the so-called manager, was utterly useless and did nothing to fix the situation. As a local, I will never set foot in this place again. Its a total nightmare. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. What a huge letdown.

So two of my friends were in celebrating a big birthday today at lunch. Sadly I live out of state now so I couldn t join but I wanted to send over a dessert. Went here while in Houston, we started here by driving in circles in the parking lot for 20 minutes trying to find parking couldn t find anything on the street or in the parking garage that was frustrating before lunch!! , now the waterfront restaurant is very nice, they have indoor seating and they have outside seating right by the lake. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather , for apps we got gator bites they were fresh fried and tasty , cooked really good. We got the bobbers which are their version of hush puppies and since it was our first time there they gave them to us for free for first time customers which was very nice. I had gotten the hook line and sinker dish for my meal and I just got the shrimp and catfish in it , the shrimp was good just your typical plain fried shrimp. The catfish tastes good but in my opinion it was to much breading they use like a heavy cornmeal breading on the catfish and it was just to heavy and overpowering for the fish. My partner got the wedge salad and she liked it just a nice refreshing salad. I say if you are near by stop in and give it a shot and enjoy the scenery outside by the lake!

My wife and daughter used the restroom here. Whatever cleaning materials they used ruined their shirts. Left oil spots all on their shirts. My husband and I had the most incredible time at this enchanting restaurant nestled by the serene lake. The food was absolutely delicious and served nice and hot! We had the English fish and chips. The fish was nice and tender, and the fries were the BEST Ive ever had! The server was friendly, but could have been slightly more attentive. We were greeted when we arrived, and thanked as we left. The atmosphere was very rustic, they were pumping popular music from the late 80s-early 90s, and the bar seemed to be the center of the place. Not really my scene, but I did like the nautical theme: giant fishing net lampshades, a large fish tank, and many other small fish type things. I asked for a booth, and the large seat was really comfortable; even though it was up high, there was a bar style foot rest. They kindly gave me a rose, as it was Mothers Day, and I came with my son and husband. Parking: When this restaurant and the others around it are busy, parking is not easy to find, and there are only a few spots right by Sharkys. Anyone with mobility issues will need to be dropped off by the door while the driver finds a spot.

We ve tried on two separate occasions to eat at this establishment and both times we were left with a bad impression and left. The first time we stood at the hostess booth waiting for someone to greet and help us. Staff passed by but never acknowledged us to at least say they d get someone for us, or that it d be a minute. After waiting about 10 minutes, we decide to leave. The second time we went (which was just in the last two weeks). We were greeted by the hostess and told it would be a few minutes wait for a table. We waited maybe 10 minutes and were finally sat at a table that had been available the entire time (right in the entrance, almost next to the aquarium). From that moment no one came to greet us, help us, nothing. There was a party of maybe 3 or 4 people sitting directly behind us, the waitress came to check on them (they d already been sitting there), but never even looked at us. I would imagine she d be our waitress seeing as we re sitting right next to the other table but she didn t say anything and we didn t either, thinking that she d come back quickly. After a while we decided to leave. I was very curious to give Sharky s a try but after two failed attempts, it s not worth it.

Took my wife and 7month old to Sharky s for the first time on St. Patrick s Day. After many of recommendations we were happy that we did. Coming from Louisiana, I have been very judgmental of Fried Seafood places but the food here tastes like home. Not to mention the scenic view of the water on the back patio!

Hostess is rude, server was good. We were told there would be a 15 min wait with an empty place. No stuffed crab caught me by surprise and the margarita was awful. Food is good so it s a balanced review. I d come back but I wouldn t be excited about it. Update: I got the check, skip this place and go to the monument for better value.

Really slow service and high prices. The food is decent, and great atmosphere, but it took more than 10 minutes on a slow night to even take our order. Lots of plates backed up coming out of the kitchen, not enough staff to serve them out. Expect a wait and a high bill if you come here.

Horrible service..we went there with 2 little kids on Sunday afternoon for the lunch. The lady on the front desk was not so friendly she told us its 30 mins wait for inside and 1 hour for outside. We waited for 20-25 mins and received a message table is ready. We went inside and another lady with the tattoo on the front desk took us to sit outside. I did not want to sit outside since it was sunny for my kids but I still let it go and took the table. Then a server arrived after 10 mins asked about the drinks we ordered water and one Pepsi she bought the drink after 20 mins we waited patiently after that she took our order and here the real story start she never came back again it was like almost 40 mins another lady bought us the appetizer and food. Again no silverware no plates for the kids. We waited but now my kids were impatient so I went and asked for help. The lady with the tattoo on the front desk said we are busy with the party of 25 people we forgot your order. No apologies nothing she have so unwanted attitude and by the way whole restaurant was empty except few table. Our original server came and said sorry but we are busy and I forgot what can I do this is what it is she was very very rude. Now the food is cold noone serving water nothing. Pathetic we left the restaurant right after that and will never go back ever.

Not sure if they are under new management, but went there and were seated promptly it s mildly busy. We ordered alcohol drinks and food, took a while to get the drinks and 30 to 40 minutes for food. While waiting around, noticed that people behind the bar looked disorganized. Not sure what the hold up was, waitress never came back after delivering drink to let us know that they are running behind. I ordered the burger and it was dry. Most likely won t be going back any time soon.

Not impressed. I had the salmon salad which was a little piece of salmon on a big bed of lettuce with a few pieces of jicama and tortilla strips. My family enjoyed their meals, though. Our waitress needed to up her game, as well. She never refilled our drinks nor cleared our plates. Will probably skip it next time.

A Sector of the Hospitality Industry, Lacking Basic Courtesy with dual Hosts empowered with ignorance ready to practice. Instead of the Greet & Seat, when we arrived, a team of 2 Hostesses announced: We stop seating 30 minutes before closing... I pointed out that it was 42 minutes before closing, in case of an error; but they were confident & not open to logic. A 2nd offense at this location makes it inexcusable & indicative of poor taste; that weve eliminated all 3 of the managed by the same carefree group from future patronage. Both incidents occurred before the Dept. of Labor forced them to pay $47K in back wages in violating mini-wage & overtime pay. which may explain staff behavior.

We had a great experience at Sharky s. The Shark Bites were so delicious, along with the drink which was like a dirty Shirley temple. I believe it was called the Very Cherry Limemade. My husband got the fish and chips and said that it was very good. The breading was light and fluffy. We ll be going back again soon!

The single star is for the service only. The food is awful- beyond awful! What happened to this place? The fish was over fried or possibly fried twice and sitting in a puddle of grease, the veggies were at room temp (57° out today) and the rice was most definitely old!! Definitely will not go back!!

Waited for 40 minutes to get a table that was empty when we walked in but busman was very slow in clearing table. We were the only group waiting to be sat. Clearly someone should of been helping him to speed up the process but nope hostess could just apologize that he was old and slow while we did nothing. Then took waiter 15 minutes to come over to get Order because he didnt know he had our table. Communication is not their strong point. Food was ok, but had to send all fresh fries back as they had an extreme amount of salt on them which made them almost impossible to eat. Cook then stared us down the rest of the dinner. Manager came to our table but was asking about issue with fish which we didnt order so clearly confusion in all areas of their service. This establishment is not what it use to be. Will be finding a better managed restaurant to visit next time.

Do yourself a Favor and run from this place Fast on 1-7-2024, we came in to eat, a family of 4 at 7:20 pm and we were told by the manger Erica they are closed for a company meeting but it says on the internet they are open till 9:00 pm. Hopefully the meeting tonight is to Find a New manager that cares about there Customers . She ->Erica had a bad attitude and an attitude like that will drive that place out of business.
