Neck bones and smothered chicken plates were great. Only issue was there card machine is setup in a way I feel like intentionally misleads people on tip amounts. Your 4 options are $15 $18 $20 $22. Much in the way normal businesses have percent of bill in those options. Demanded refund and was given one. I m not tipping $18 on a $19 meal. That s a joke. Koolaid was great.

One star, my oldest son got sick eating the brisket plate. Spent 56 plus dollars and it was nasty. My kids mashed potatoes tasted like box made and Mac and cheese watery and not homemade. Brisket was in shreds and old, not fresh and tasted nasty. No favor to the Brisket, place it self needs work. Wont ever go back, called for refund and was refused a refund even though my son got sick.

The place is a little run down looking on the outside no real seating arrangement The service was nice and fast and was given lots of recommended items, such as desserts that weren t posted on the window The food was good to an extent: Ordered : -smothered pork chops w/ mac and cheese and green beans Pros and cons : -The pork chops are smothered in gravy and served with bread it was crispy and was not short on flavour (highly recommend) -Mac and cheese I was a bit disappointed just to feel like it s just shredded cheese and pasta very grainy and not much flavour (pick another item) The green beans are fire and packed with flavour with a slight spice kick (highly recommend). - smothered chicken w/ rice and collard greens -The Smothered chicken is very disappointing where the chicken is served with gravy and bread. The meal is very mushy, didn t really taste good and would sadly (highly recommend another item). - the rice that came with the dish also is covered in gravy and lowkey almost mistook it for mashed potatoes (not very flavourful and sad pick another item). -the collard greens were crazy good and would order it again, has the same spice blend probably as the green beans and I recommend this item (recommend) The dessert we got was the banana pudding and it was presented well but was great on flavour tastes exactly as it sounds (highly recommend) I mean for this post to be honest and to help the food improve.

I gave three stars on the service because the young man behind the counter. He just was not enthused.i gave 4 stars on food He gave me a chop beef sandwich instead of a slice beef sandwich. The picture is advertised as a slice beef sandwich, he said they don t do sliced beef sandwiches , and then they don t have onions and pickles.

Today I was a bit disappointed, first yesterday my order was cancel after been waiting for 2 hours and today the same thing happened. I called first answering the phone is a bet if you win your really lucky, then the guy told me no orders have pop up that I must ordered at Cove and is close No sir I did order in Killeen, guessed what, order again same page same address it went tru right away Well received order it was not the same as the first time I ordered and a gave a 5 review, Mac and cheese was bland and ribs look and taste old , foood was cold , order a Coke and a sprite , they send Ginger Ale , I don t like that but my husband does so is a ok. Ask for corn bread for 2 orders I just received a small piece old and a little hard. I worked for 25+ years BOH I know how hard and compromised you have to be working on a kitchen but is what I choose and what you choose. Hope next time (if is a next time) service is better.

This is by far the worst meal I ve had from this location (killeen) . For starters the ribs were overly seasoned with a black pepper rub and drowned in bbq sauce. I received two four inch ribs that were botched and a burnt end from the end cap of the slab. The brisket was dry and also overly seasoned in black pepper rub and drowned in bbq sauce. No need to go on and on but my family will not be eating from here EVER again. Definitely not worth wasting your money. 10/10 do not recommend

Hate to leave a bad review, but I ve tried calling on multiple occasions, placed on long holds, & no one ever returns to find out what s going on. Tonight, the *entire* meal was simply put nasty!! The meat on both orders tastes like someone literally just slung the seasoning out of one hand and oh well wherever it lands it lands!! Some spots of the meat were overly seasoned and some had none at all. The macaroni was the biggest disappointment. It had so much butter the cheese couldn t even melt and stick! They formed cheese balls of their own to somewhat feel apart of the equation still, and all we could taste was butter. I zoomed in, so you ll have a better view of the sitting butter. It s been too hit or miss lately and sadly I can t/won t recommend anytime soon.

Being from Louisiana, I was excited to experience some fried ribs in Killeen. I ve always thought that was just something my dad came up with. Well well well, my daughter who is stationed in Killeen suggested eating here and boy was I disappointed. Bobby B needs to change his grease more often. This was a let down on Mother s Day to have fried ribs and chicken fried in old dirty grease. Yams had no signature flavor and collard greens were under cooked.

First, the service was excellent. The young king taking orders was very prompt and respectful. The food was amazing. I got the catfish with Mac & cheese & greens and was very impressed. I m from Los Angeles and have been very unimpressed with the food scene in Killeen. I ve never seen so many fast food establishments clustered on the streets. Many of the restaurants here have poor service AND subpar food. This place was the absolute best food I ve had in Killeen, and I m looking forward to going back and trying some of their other options. All my military people, check this place out. Best catfish in town for that matter surrounding area. I didn t even need tartar sauce. I usually don t take the time to put a review but I was completely impressed. First I did order through doordash. I did not get the order complete and I did get wrong items. No green beans and got collard greens, not a big issue, ordered smothered chicken and got catfish. Didnt complain too much except it was extremely over seasoned and not good. Baked beans, idk how you can mess it up but please dont add extra things to something that is store bought, its already good out of the can. Mac and cheese was disappointing. Mashed taters were from powder. It was lnt creamy it was grainy. Just not happy about the order and I didnt even eat my plate and I spent over $100. Im not telling you how to cook. We are new to Killeen, and found this black owned source close to home. We have eaten take out from them a few times. The young man at the window is courteous and professional. And a good listener. The proportions they give is worth the money we spend. My only drawback is the amount of sodium thats in their batter for the pork chops and fish, and Gravy. It varies, probably according to whos at work at the time. BUT ITS STILL TO HEAVY. You taste so much sodium, you cant enjoy the meat or fish. Please standardize your batter and gravy recipe before someone has an issue. Kid-friendliness: Good portion size.

I ordered the fried bologna sandwhich and they gave me ONE little slice of bologna! It was so small you couldnt even see the bologna on it ! U could only see bread ! It was my first time ever trying this place and I was a sceptic. He knows what he is doing with his rib rubs and bbq sauce. It was to die for. His greens WASNT from a can, but fresh and spiced just right. I also had his sweet potatoes and they were on Point also. The potato salad was decent. It needs some black pepper. The Mac & Cheese was so, so That needs some black pepper too. The smothered chicken was a little too salty, however it could use less salt and black pepper. The other items I bought I didn t try. I am so disappointed in Bobby Bs Soul Food Kitchen. So, I go there all the time and have been going there for a long time. Today I order my usual....Fried pork chops with mac&cheese and collard greens. As Im eating, I bite into what I thought initially was the string from the greens.....NO, IT WAS A PIECE OF WIRE.....WIRE!!! I called the place to tell them what I found, and the person I spoke to, a male, says, I dont know how a wire would get in there as if I would make that up and as if he didnt believe what i said.....no apologies or anything. The guys next response as I reiterated the fact that there was a piece of wire in my food says, well you can bring it back up here and we will give you some more greens without the wire in it. I will NEVER step foot or support anything else related to Bobby Bs or his establishment. He just lost a regular customer for life because of his lack of professionalism and carelessness. I wish I could post a picture of the food and wire. 0/10, Ill never recommend this place.

I went to Bobby B s twice this weekend because, well, it s just that good! I ordered the catfish special, the brisket, the ribs, and the 8 wings (ranch flavor). Some of the sides we ordered were mac and cheese, potato salad, greens, rice w/gravy, and yams. Everything was delicious! I like that they offer koolaid as a drink option! They also offer sodas to compliment the meals. You get two sides with the meat entrees and I love that because alot of places only give one side with their meat entrees. The young brother who was the cashier was very friendly and professional, giving us service with a smile. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our food and it was well worth the wait! I would definitely recommend the catfish (they take off the slimy black skin). It was quite delightful! Parking: Parking is limited, but they get the orders out pretty quickly, which reduces some of the traffic.

Fast service with great food guaranteed! Every time I come back here I always get the ribs, its so tender it falls off the bone, there is actual flavor on the ribs not just the barbecue sauce which is what youd typically get from the usual local restaurants. I visited the grand opening on Lake Rd & 38th on Friday and Ive come back the entire weekend because the food is what I call some good, down home cooking. I had the brisket w/Mac/Collards, I came back for the ribs/Mac/sweet potato plate tho, they falling off the bone & perfectly smoked yall. There was also a freshness, that most joints are missing these days, especially with the greens, I KNOW somebody picked those this morning and cut the sweet potatoes. Really impressed with the cornbread, thought my Mom had risen from the dead and made it for me. Sadly, I only tasted one dessert but I did I enjoy the banana pudding. Service was great, open and airy atmosphere and very welcoming. Vegetarian options: Sweet potatoes. Kid-friendliness: Has booths so a parents can sit across from their children.

I ve been to this place twice now. I ordered the fried fish plate with potato salad and mac n cheese the first time. The second time I got mac n cheese and baked beans as sides with the fried fish. The fish was fried to perfection each time. The mac and cheese was seasoned well but the pasta was over cooked both visits. The potato salad was sweet and that was strange for me. It was still good though. The baked beans were delicious. The food was hot, packaged well and cx service is good as well. 4 stars because the Mac n cheese was over cooked and there is a dumpster in the parking lot that smells horrible that sits right across from the ordering window. Overall, I would recommend this place and will be back.

The food was decent, Need to obtain FLY traps to remove the many flies from being at the Order Window..... The fly TakeOver!!! Pest Control, Needed badly... Otherwise, the food was cool.. Ordered the brisket with baked beans and potatoe salad. Brisket was all chopped and had sauce. It was really good. Tender, smokey, nice flavor not overpowered by spices. Beans were smokey and sweet. Also very good. Potatoe salad is sweet also, yet really good. The atmosphere is run down bad, but the food is legit. I want to try the ribs and links next time. They have picnic benchs, but I got it to go. Overall, I wouldnt go out of my way to eat here, but if youre in the area looking for some above average que then give it a try.

I just got the catfish plate and it was amazing. Two large catfish filets, mac & cheese, baked beans, banana pudding, and a drink for $15.99 was a bargain. I was only able to eat about 1/2 and had to save the rest for later. I will definitely be going back soon. The guy at the front window was also friendly and knowledgeable about everything that I asked.

Fried ribs were delicious. The collards perfect! The brisket was really good with a nice smoke flavor but there was sauce on top and it was not as good. Okra and fries were average. Mac and Cheese was above average. Cornbread was a nice dense cakey consistency and very flavorful.

Im only giving 1 star for the guy at the window had good customer service. So I ordered 8 wings for my clients whos 79, and 81 years old. They said this is the worse chicken they have ever had. The chicken didnt seem to fresh it was definitely cook in some very old grease that needs to be changed. They said to never go to this place for wings they are very disappointed. Take your money somewhere else its just not worth it.
