Just Cooking Bbq provided me with a catering order in about 48 hours of when I placed my order that consisted of enough food to feed 50 plus or so people at a great rate that beat out a lot of other quotes I received price wise. I ordered brisket, sausage, Mac and cheese, green beans and yams. All night the guest talked about how good the food was. I was quite pleased and proud of the purchase as it was for my wife s 45th birthday and promotion. I will be using them again for future football watch parties that I host this coming season. The only thing I would like is a delivery option for bigger events for the future.

The front staff was amazing. He gave very open friendly vibes when we came in. Im not sure if the cook was just over worked today because its the fourth of july. But my food was horrible! Baby aint gone lie. Lol look like it looked good. But the way it was throwed in the plate. My fish was wet. Mac and cheese was hard. Like it was a reheat from leftovers. The collard greens was wayyyy to salty. Like I really spent over 30 dollars at this place. Honestly I think going on a regular day is better than a holiday.

ordered on doordash and Half my order was missing (banana pudding and peach cobbler) the other half was WRONG after calling and speaking with the store directly about the substitutions I wanted they said dont worry we got it and then gave me none of what I asked for. Ordered Mac and cheese and greens and they were out. Asked to substitute for potato salad and they gave me yams. Nearly $80 to missing/ incomplete meals. After over a year I used Doordash to order from this establishment. Got order & could not eat any of it. It was extremely to salty. The. Banana pudding was all crumble cookies, where was the pudding. The only thing good was the water. I am hungry & cant afford to buy another meal. Sign sick & hungry. Want my 26.44 back. Dietary restrictions: With high blood pressure sodium is a death wish & this meal had to much sodium on the fish, potato salad & collard greens. The desert was crumbled cookies and no pudding. Finally went last week. When i tell you. The family & I do NOT like real smokey BbQ. This was Surprisingly Really Good. Great environment & atmosphere. Everyone knew everyone & just chill & relaxing. Cashier was great but I was very disappointed with some of the food. The shrimp was delicious, but the chicken was burnt and very salty. Ribs were also dry and overcooked. No juices at all, and very difficult to chew. Loaded fries was drenched in way to much cheese, which caused them to be saugy.

1st time at the establishment was not impressed at all which was disappointing. I got the stuffed bake potato for my grandson. For $11 it should be bigger than it was. The potato looked to be the size of a small potato just smushed open with the items on top. I got the 2 meats plate with 2 sides. The Max n Cheese noodles was over cooked and cold no flavor at all. Greens beans taste as if they came out the can and no seasoning added and it also was cold. The brisket and sausage was alright just cold and no barbecue sauce included. I was really disappointed since I was excited to try the restaurant.

She suggested the Bucklebuster sandwich (chopped brisket and sausage mixed). I ordered 4 of them. Everyone loved them! My son asked me what the name of the place was that night. He wanted to go Sunday. Told him hed have to wait til Tuesday. So, him and several friends went back Tuesday. Its a great place for soul food/comfort food. 10 Stars+++ By far the best BBQ in the area! Dont let the outside appeal fool you. The food was incredible, had amazing flavor, seasoned well it definitely had the home cooked comfort taste. This place is by far the BEST barbecue and food in Killeen and surrounding cities! I ordered over $500 worth of food for a family funeral and I had never eaten the food here before so I was taking a huge chance but the online reviews were great so I took the chance. When I arrived all the dishes were nicely packed and everything was so piping hot and Scott was literally pulling all the meat right off the grill! All of the guests were amazed of the flavor of each dish. I ordered sausage, chicken, ribs, Mac n cheese, baked beans, cornbread and peach cobbler for 20 people and it could all have easily fed 25-30 people! Everything was delicious!!! I can t express how pleased I was! I definitely recommend this place and I will be trying all their other dishes too in the future!!!

I mean the ribs falling off the bones tender (even the grissel on the ribs was easy to chew :-) if you know then you know). Im from the south were you bite down on the bones and taste the seasoning and it was hitting! My greens and cabbage were so good, I had to talk to my momma whos from the Delta of Mississippi because it made me think of her! The smothered pork chops.... Speachless! The fried fish and beef were also amazing! They forgot my pop, but the food was so good it took a minute to even notice it wasnt there. 10 out of 10! I will most definitely be eating there again!

I drove all the way from Dallas to try JC BBQ and it was worth the entire 2 hr drive! The food was delicious, it had that down home feel and taste! I had the Mississippi pot roast over mashed potatoes (only served on Thursday s) with Mac and green beans and my wife had catfish with baked beans and Buffalo chicken fries. I couldn t keep my hands off her fries, they were so cheesy and good! The pot roast was literally perfect, it was seasoned immaculately, tender as a baby s bottom and lots of gravy, the potatoes were homemade and delicious, the Mac was cheesy and rich and the green beans were well seasoned and paired perfectly. I would return to this restaurant and order the same thing a million times. The only problem I have is that there isn t one closer to me! Go try them, you will not regret it!

The staff here is very nice and friendly. I use to work with a delivery service and have interacted with them a lot. As both a customer and delivery driver theyve always been great. Their food is good but has its faults. First the good. My wife ordered ribs, fries, and mac and cheese. I ordered a burger, chicken wings, and mac and cheese. The chicken wings, ribs and fries were great. Cooked just right with amazing flavor. The burger was a little disappointing. It didnt seem seasoned and reminded me of a gas station burger. It was okay, but just. My wife and I both agreed the Mac and cheese wasnt that great either. We couldnt put our finger on it but it just didnt taste as good as we hoped. All in all we had a good dinner and will be going back.

I ordered the 2 meat combo ribs and brisket plate meats, it had a good smoked flavored taste but as I started to eat the rib it was very hard and dried out This was my first time buying food from this restaurant and I doubt if I will buy there again The potato salad was somewhat salty and to loose . The portions were huge, worth the price. The banana pudding was box pudding mix. The peach cobbler was way too sweet and crust was way over cooked. Potatoe salad had an over powering mustard taste. BBQ WAS THE BEST. Ribs tender full of meat, brisket was moist and tender. Chicken was juicy. Husband got all meat loaded plate. It was loaded fries with tons of meat topping. 100% recommended only the BBQ. BTW husband ate most of his fries before I could take pic. We had ours delivered through grubhub.

I only write reviews when deemed necessary to me. I ate from this place today, I ordered the rib plate with collard greens and Mac n cheese. Not good at all! Very disappointing! The ribs was too chard, I like chard on my bbq, but this was chard to the point of the ribs being hard. The greens was salty to the point where I couldn t eat them. The mac n cheese had so much processed cheese it was stuck together in one big clump, I had to cut into it with my fork to eat it. I will never it from this place again. I m not even sure why it has 4.3 stars.

I was disappointed. To me, real bbq is smoked. This brisket had no smoke flavor and no pink smoke ring. Flavor not bad and tender. Ribs tender but did have some hard dry places. Baked beans were good. Potato salad I didnt care for, but thats because of my own personal taste. They were ok. At least this place gave me a little pickle, onion and slice of bread. Last place I tried didnt even give me that and was horrible bbq. Pudding wasnt very good. Too mushy and no whole slices of banana. I cook bbq at home in the oven with liquid smoke and seasoning and its just as good as this. To be fare, I am a 64 yo born Texan who knows and loves Texas bbq and Im picky!

UPDATE: I gave em another chance!! The food was pretty freaking good, the brisket meat is nice and tender and the sauce they put on the those meaty ribs is so flavorful and the collard greens were chefs kisses. For what we got I felt the prices were fair. Though I still feel that the time management is a slight issue, we ordered pick up and we arrived at the time they said it would be done. Unfortunately we still had to wait an additional 10 to 15 minutes for the order to be ready to take home. They were not visibly busy this time, the Mac and cheese also wasnt a hit with our family. For these reasons Ive changed my review from a one star to three. Waited well over 20 minutes to make a takeout order. Wasnt greeted or spoken to AT ALL, Untill I asked if they were even taking pick up orders. And that was after 10 minutes of watching employees walk by and saying nothing to waiting guests. The people who did get food seemed to be enjoying it, and it smelled really good the prices posted were fair. But considering I and another customer left without being able to place an order after 20 minutes is disappointing. Will try ordering with them again! But not during lunch time as they are not efficient enough to deal with the rush.
